This article presents the findings of a study that assessed parents' knowledge and behavior in dealing with dental injuries in children. The study revealed that parents had insufficient awareness of dental injuries, with an average awareness score of 3.3 out of 13. There was no significant difference in awareness between mothers and fathers, and no significant relationship between age or number of children and knowledge. However, parents' educational status was found to have a significant direct relationship with their awareness of dental injuries. The study suggests that providing training for parents in the field of traumatic injuries can lead to timely and correct action, improving treatment prognosis and reducing complications and costs. Additionally, the study found that parents relied on sources such as television and dentists for information about dental injuries. The researchers recommend educating parents through mass media, posters, and training classes to improve their awareness and knowledge, ultimately enhancing the oral health of children.
