Although implementation fidelity (IF) is an important factor in interpreting the outcomes of intervention programs, so far there is little knowledge about how it actually relates to them. The purpose of this systematic review was to identify which component of IF (adherence, quality of the intervention, exposure to the intervention and receptiveness) is the most important one for attaining the expected results in school-based mental health programs. A search in four electronic databases (APA PsycNET, PUBMED, EBSCO, and ISI-WEB Science) yielded 31 articles published between 2006 and 2016 that met all the established inclusion criteria. To determine the associations present, the proportion was calculated between the number of times that the components of IF were significantly linked to outcomes and the total number of times that the association was evaluated. It was observed that the various components of IF are linked to outcomes 40% of the time and that the strongest association is established with students' exposure and receptiveness to the intervention. Lastly, findings and their implications for future research are discussed.

Introduction: The increase in school violence following the COVID-19 pandemic underscores the need for schools to adopt a multilevel whole-school approach. This study examines a national program designed by the Chilean Ministry of Education, in collaboration with universities, as part of the Ministry's Educational Reactivation Plan, aimed at improving school climate management across Chile. Methods: The "Learning to Live Together Program" (LLT) was implemented across all 16 regions of Chile, focusing on establishing school climate networks, providing direct intensive university technical assistance, and enhancing professional development and training. The feasibility, acceptability, and appropriability of the LLT program were assessed through a survey distributed to 1,561 staff members from 783 schools. Participants responded to a comprehensive set of instruments measuring acceptability, appropriability, feasibility, attitudes toward implementation, fidelity, and initial perceived results. Results: The results indicate high initial adoption rates and significant improvements in the assessed dimensions. The enhancement of school climate practices and strengthening school collaboration networks were of considerable relevance. Discussion: These findings support the efficacy of the multilevel wholeschool approach as a viable strategy for Latin American countries, providing critical data for educational and governmental decision-making. Internationally, academics and social organizations have emphasized the incorporation of the perspective of children and adolescents in the design, evaluation, and execution of environmental education activities. This study sought to identify those contextual factors that influence the implementation of participatory actions in environmental education. An online survey was applied to 78 teachers, non-formal educators, administrators, researchers and journalists involved in environmental education. Through thematic content analysis, 17 determinants of implementation were identified, highlighting the traditional education model, cultural patterns, willing and social support, time, resources, and organizational drivers. It is argued that beyond macro and meso structural conditions, the implementation of these actions falls on a greater measure in the self-efficacy of the people involved in education, as well as in their possibility to manage the implementation conditions and obstacles. AbstractThe increasing interest in climate change and environmental education has highlighted the importance of strategies to enhance the adoption, implementation, and sustainability of these initiatives. However, the field of environmental education has not extensively explored implementation strategies, despite the existence of frameworks and taxonomies. This study aims to address this gap by identifying strategies suggested by environmental education professionals in Chile. A total of 91 participants responded to an online survey that included open-ended questions. Through content analysis, 24 categories aligned with existing frameworks and 7 categories emerging from the local context were identified. These categories were organized in a descending order, revealing the prominence of scale-up, process, capacity-building, integration, and dissemination strategies. While strategies from established frameworks were found, the study also highlights the emergence of strategies specific to the environmental education field, contextual factors, and the implementation phase of environmental education in Chile. ObjectiveMethodsResultsDiscussionPsychological First Aid (PFA) is essential in emergencies and disasters. However, if incorrectly applicated, it can have negative consequences for the mental health of both those providing assistance and those receiving it. Therefore, it is important to have adequate tools to measure the implementation the quality of PFA training. The Determinants of Implementation Behavior Questionnaire was adapted and validated in a sample of PFA trainers in Chile.One hundred and one trainers completed the questionnaire translated into Spanish. The instrument was subjected to a process of item reduction to ensure its viability, the adjustment of the instrument's factorial structure to the theoretical frameworks used in the field was analyzed and its reliability was evaluated.A scale with 18 items divided into 5 dimensions was obtained. The results indicated an acceptable fit to the theoretical model (χ2/gl = 1.106, CFI = .997, TLI = .996, RMSEA = .033). All dimensions showed good reliability (Ω = .668 -.793).The instrument validly and reliably assesses behavioral determinants of implementation. An adapted, validated, short-form instrument will facilitate evaluations of the implementation of PFA training. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: The aim of this research was to present the process of intercultural creation and validation, in addition to the analysis of the psychometric properties of the Parenting, Behavior, Emotions and Suicide risk scale. Methods: A cross-sectional study, cultural adaptation and validation with an ethnic approach were carried out by expert judges in mental health; subsequently, the instrument was applied, and a factorial analysis was carried out, and it was established that there was agreement between the instrument results and two expert perspectives regarding spiritual disharmony. The sample consisted of 168 families of children and young people (54.8% women, 45.2% men), with a mean age of 11.2 years, in Colombia. Regarding the geographical location, 44% were from Guajira, 44.6% were from Nariño and 11.3% were from Vaupés, from the Wayuu, Awá and Emberá communities, respectively. Results: The scale showed high reliability (Chronbach's α=0.911), and in the factorial analysis the following parenting domains were formed from the parents: involvement, monitoring and bond, from boys, girls and young people; suicidal risk perceived by caregivers and perceived by children and young people; in addition to a total mental health risk. The questions that inquired about hallucinations and seizures did not show grouping in any factor, and two questions were eliminated. Similarly, a high inter-rater concordance was shown, with a higher Cohen's κ coefficient for all domains. Conclusion: There are few intercultural and early detection studies of parenting and mental health problems in children and youth that have an ethnic approach. It is observed that the instrument serves as a means of monitoring mental health issues in children and adolescents, as well as the parenting practices employed in their socialization, from both the perspective of caregivers and the young individuals themselve. The Chilean Skill for Life (CSFL) is a school mental health program implemented by local agencies from the Education, Health, and Social Services public sectors. It represents an excellent opportunity to study inter-organizational collaboration and its advantages to public and state-subsidized schools. The propensity score matching technique was used to compare school performance in second grade (the most intensive treatment level) between schools participating in the program and those not participating and between schools with different types of sectoral collaboration to identify the best partner for the school. To select all Chilean schools' participant in CSFL and the comparative group of schools' non-participant, a sequential sampling was applied. The measures were obtained from government public data, considering annual school performance and other educational indicators. It was found that public schools that implement the CSFL obtain better school performance than those that do not implement it (ATT = .042; p < .05), for state-subsidized schools, the same was not found. It was also observed that when educational agencies implement the program, the gain is more significant (ATT = .046; p < .05). The importance of aligning program values and goals with local agencies and schools is discussed, analyzing the possibilities for better collaboration in school mental health. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
