This paper presents the shielding effectiveness (SE) of the ground vias in conformal-shielded System-in-Package (SiP) by analyzing three main radiation leak paths separately. The SE of the ground vias can be submerged by radiation from those three paths and the overall SE of SiP is determined by the weakest-shielded path. The method proposed and the findings in the work will assist to decrease the redundant design of ground vias in SiP.

A series of earthquakes that hit Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat, in the span of August - September 2018 had caused a massive destruction and major damage especially in the structure of buildings including the radiological unit in the hospitals around the Lombok island. The damage in radiological unit building structures could cause a radiation leak in the surrounding areas and endanger the radiation safety of the hospital personnel. Many efforts were taken from the hospital itself and the government to immediately repair the damages in the structure. This study aimed to reports analysis the damage caused by the earthquake to the building structure and the efforts that were taken to repair the damages one year after the events. The measurements of exposure around the buildings were also performed to assess the results of the building renovation. The results were then compared with the radiation exposure measurements report prior to the events. A series of recommendations was then offered based on the results analysis regarding the enhancement of the shielding.

The aim of this research is to measurement the radiation leak from different types of electromagnetic oven for some type oven in Erbil city can be measured, that affect to the human health. Materials & methods This study is performed for the first time in some houses in Erbil (the capital of Iraq Kurdistan region) using an Electromagnetic field strength meter device measuring electric field, magnetic field and radiation intensity in eight homes in Erbil. Results & Discussions The measurements have been done at some houses in Erbil city, according to the source of background radiation exist before measuring data. Our data compared with standard safe range of radiation data. Results showed that there is radiation leak form all type of electromagnetic oven and all at the order of safety compared with standard value.

This paper attempts to investigate March was made of yarn which depict Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear power plant accident. So I comprehensively analyzed recognition and response of modern Japanese literary writers about the 3.11 Great East Japan Earthquake and the Fukushima nuclear power plant radiation leak As a result of the analysis in this work, the following conclusions were drawn. First, the author of a literary work recognized that it must be informed later by recording their current miserable situation. Second, the modern Japanese literary writers have sought to provide hope and comfort through these works. Third, the modern Japanese literary writers severely criticized for the government`s limit on the Great East Japan Earthquake and modern civilization engendering the nuclear power plant, and the social atmosphere only to appeal to patriotism and national unity.

The object of this study is to suggest national health material on the basis of awareness of parents and infants on radiation leak in Fukushima in Japan. This research investigated and analysed the 147 questionnaire forms out of 155 who are composed of 97 parents in 'H' kindergarten living in 'G' metropolitan city and 50 infants (5 years old, 27boys and 23 girls). In conclusion, the role of press is very important on the matter of radiation leak damage, and as a result, specific and practical management of curriculum regarding it is essential to provide parents and infants with useful information to improve national wellbeing.

From the perspective of risk, nuclear-power-related facilities (NPRFs) are often regarded as locally undesirable land use. However, construction of NPRFs contributes to social infrastructural improvement and job creation in the host communities. This raises a question: How large are these positive and negative effects? To approach this question from an economic viewpoint, we estimated the hedonic land price function for the Mutsu-Ogawara region of Japan from 1976 to 2004 and analyzed year-by-year fluctuations in land prices around the NPRFs located there. Land prices increased gradually in the neighborhood of the nuclear fuel cycle facilities (NFCFs) in Rokkasho Village, except for some falling (i) from 1982 to 1983 (the first official announcement of the project of construction came in 1983), (ii) from 1987 to 1988 (in 1988, the construction began and opposition movements against the project reached their peak), and (iii) from 1998 to 1999 (the pilot carry-in of spent fuels into the reprocessing plant began in 1998). Land prices around the Higashidori Nuclear Power Plant decreased during the period 1981-1982, when the Tohoku Electric Power Corp. and Tokyo Electric Power Corp. announced their joint construction plan. On the other hand, we obtained some results, even though not significant, indicating that land prices around Ohminato and Sekinehama harbors changed with the arrival and departure of the nuclear ship Mutsu, which suffered a radiation leak in 1974.

Shut down after a radiation leak in May 2013, Japan9s premier particle accelerator could soon resume full operations if it passes an inspection of new safety features scheduled for 17 April. The Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC) in Tokai, 110 kilometers northeast of Tokyo, features a 50 giga-electronvolt synchrotron that provides streams of protons for three separate experimental facilities. One focuses on materials and life sciences; another is dedicated to a long-baseline neutrino experiment; the third supports studies of subatomic particles called hadrons. The leak put a halt to all operations. Work on materials and life sciences and neutrinos resumed in spring 2014 after J-PARC bolstered safety procedures. Research in the Hadron Experimental Facility, where the leak occurred, was further delayed by the installation of new vapor barriers and exhaust fan filters and the adoption of other countermeasures to contain radiation. The halt in experiments has delayed groundbreaking research, though some groups were affected more than others.

At 06:30 PST on March 31, 1984, the AGRINI device was detonated at the Nevada Test Site at a depth of 320 m in drillhole U2ev. All of the containment measurements indicated normal explosion phenomenology, with somewhat weaker ground motion than expected. About 1 h, 44 min after detonation, the ground surface was breached by an unusual collapse crater with an attendant slight radiation leak. Within a few hours, the radiation level decreased to background, and workers were allowed access to the area. AGRINI was the first event to use gypsum-filled aggregate for the stemming platforms and the deep stemming gas-seal plug. In addition, an experimental gypsum-filled aggregate plug was placed in the upper part of the surface casing for evaluation as a replacement for the two-part epoxy aggregate gas-seal plug at the bottom of the surface conductor. Containment-related diagnostics were fielded on the AGRINI event to monitor the emplacement of these gypsum plugs and to determine the quality of their performance. The results indicate that the plugs were emplaced according to plan and performed as designed and that the emplacement hole stemming features did not contribute in any way to the post-collapse release of radioactivity. 18 figs.
