Analyse articles in SRELS journal of information management published during the years 2004-2013 and to study the key dimensions of its publication trends. For this study 10 volumes containing 48 issues have been taken up for evaluation. Necessary bibliometric measures are applied to analyse different publication parameters. In all 499 articles are published with an average 49 articles each year. The collaborative measures are calculated as per Ajiferuke et al (0.35), Lawani (2.28) and Subramanyam (0.65). The average author per article is 1.83 for 499 articles. Lotka's law is tested and conforms to a value of n=2.27. There are 6224 citations found appended to 499 articles during the period 2004-2013. Journals (44.49%) are the top form of source used by authors followed by books (22.51%) and web pages (15.60%). Ranked list of prolific authors and ranked list of journals is prepared and presented in respective tables. Khaiser Nikam and MP Satija have topped the ranked list of prolific authors with 11 articles each. SRELS Journal of Information Management topped the ranked list of journals with 197 (7.11%) citations. Among different countries contributing to this journal, authors from India (94.75%) have made maximum contributions. Authors from Karnataka (43.59%) have contributed majority of articles among Indian States. Bradford's Law of Scattering is verified through Leimkuhler model and found fitting the data. In this study an attempt is made to investigate the scholarly communications in College & Research Libraries journal during the period of 1997-2011 and to study the key dimensions of its publication trends. For the analysis of the study 15 volumes containing 90 issues have been taken up for evaluation. Necessary bibliometric measures are applied to analyse different publication parameters. It is found that, contributions of articles to each volume of College & Research Libraries is nearly consistent and on an average 32 articles have been published every year. Single authored articles are found to be the highest followed by two and three authored articles. The average degree of collaboration in College & Research Libraries is 0.57. The average author per article is 1.88 for 479 articles. Lotka's law is tested and confers to a value of n=3.22. In all 12893 citations have been appended to 479 articles during the period 1997-2011. Journals (59.95 per cent) are the top form of source used by authors followed by books (17.32 per cent), webpages (7.44 per cent) and reports (3.95 per cent). Ranked list of prolific authors and ranked list of journals is prepared and presented in respective tables. Deborah D Blecic and Stephen E Wiberley have topped the ranked list of prolific authors with 6 articles each. College & Research Libraries which is also the source journal of this study has topped the ranked list of journals with 1311 (16.96 per cent) citations. Twelve thousand five hundred and thirty six references appended to 1012 papers published in four Indian LIS journals for the period 2002-2010 revealed that there are 999 conference papers in all with an average of 0.99 conference paper per paper. Journal articles have emerged as the most important source of information among all the four journals followed by Web resources, books and conference proceedings. Analyses 10553 citations appended to 538 papers published during 2004-2008 in the journal Applied Engineering in Agriculture. On average, there were approximately 20 citations per paper. Out of 10553 citations appended, 2263 (21.44%) citations appeared in the year 2006 closely followed by 2231 (21.14%) citations in the year 2005. Out of 1775 authors who contributed a total of 538 papers, 1376 (77.52%) were affiliated to institutions located in USA. Also examines year-wise distribution of papers, authorship pattern, length of papers, degree of collaboration among authors, year-wise appearance of citations, form-wise distribution of resources used by the authors and ranked list of authors by geographical location. This paper explains the concept of consortia, a mode of approach in sharing and using the information resources available in US Centers. It also attempts to give different types of consortia initiatives in India and abroad highlighting the advantages of consortia. Very dynamic and ever improving consortia called FORSA Consortium has been taken as a case study and its developments, services, salient features and future plans are described. Analyses articles in Baltic Astronomy published during the years 2000 to 2008 with regard to distribution of contributions, authorship pattern of contributions, distribution of references, analysis of length of papers, etc. Out of 8489 references appended, 1521 (17.92 percent) appeared in the year 2004. The degree of collaboration for the period 2000-2008 was 0.89. Authors have primarily relied on journals followed by books, conference proceedings and reports. Authors from USA have contributed maximum number of papers compared to other countries and India stood 21st in the ranked list. Astrophysical Journal topped the ranked list of journals cited by the authors followed by Astronomy and Astrophysics. It can be concluded that top 20 journals cited by the authors cover almost 87.60 percent of references and also indicates that collaborative research is prevalent in astronomy research.
