Agricultural mechanization plays a pivotal role in transforming the farming sector across the globe. The number of patents granted in the field of agricultural mechanization hold significance as they encourage innovation, protect intellectual property and drive technological advancements. The present study examined patents data collected from XLPAT database, wherein 500,000 records out of which 479,010 patent grants/applications were considered. Trajectory of patents during COVID pandemic showed there was an apparent downturn in both the quantity of patent applications submitted and the number of patents officially granted. Developed countries have exhibited varying trends in agricultural mechanization and patent activities. China, the United States and India stand as examples. China has rapidly adopted mechanization in its agriculture, contributing to higher yields and efficiency. The United States has a long history of mechanized farming, and its advancements in this field have greatly impacted global agriculture. The standardization of reaping and threshing offer better agricultural equipments by agricultural startups. Expansion of patents in farm mechanization has led to increased productivity, resource efficiency, equity for small and marginal holders, affordability, eco-consciousness and food security. The present study assessed the virtual water trade and comparative advantages in rice exports. It suggests realigning the Indian rice ecosystem based on the demand–supply gap, groundwater exploitation, productivity growth and untapped productivity potential. It also advocates the phased shifting of acreage under common (non-basmati) rice production to potential regions identified as suitable. The proposed shifting of cultivation will lead to achieving a sustainable rice ecosystem, conserving the natural resource base and reducing risk in terms of environmental and economic factors. Emerging practices such as dry direct-seeded rice, and the system of rice intensification could be effectively used for sustainable rice ecosystem in India. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This research aims to measure the impact of applying bank governance mechanisms in reducing the financial risks of banks listed on the Palestine Stock Exchange, and to answer research questions and test hypotheses for the study, researchers adopted the descriptive and analytical approach, and data were collected from the annual financial reports of the banks listed on the Palestine Exchange during the period between (2009-2018), as a time series for the purpose of finding, analyzing and measuring the effect between the study variables during this period by (60) views for each of the study variables, using the statistical analysis program views(9) to enter, process and analyze the data. The results of the study proved that there is a statistically significant effect of bank governance mechanisms on the risks (credit, capital, and liquidity) of the banks listed on the Palestine Exchange. The study recommends the necessity of identifying and measuring financial risks and mitigation measures, reporting and controlling them in the sense of subjecting these risks to governance mechanisms, adopting these procedures to apply appropriate strategies and practical procedures, and preparing the necessary internal measures and data on these risks in proportion to the scope, extent and nature of banks' business.
