Background: Patient satisfaction is crucial for research, administration, and planning. Since it reveals the effectiveness of the provider, customer happiness is of utmost importance as a gauge of the quality of service. Inpatient satisfaction is an essential tool to identify the level of patient satisfaction and it is one of the important goals of any healthcare system. The objective of the study is to validate the questionnaire developed and to assess the inpatient satisfaction level among patients admitted to OBG ward in a tertiary care hospital. Methods: A cross-sectional study was done among 160 women inpatients admitted in the OBG ward in a tertiary care hospital, Chengalpattu. Patient satisfaction was measured by a validated questionnaire with seven domains, the data were collected by face-to-face interview method. Results: The mean age of the respondent were 28 years. 60% of respondents were highly satisfied with the effectiveness of the treatment. Only 33.8% of respondents were highly satisfied with the diet food served and 56.3% were highly satisfied with the cleanliness of wards, and restrooms. Conclusions: The results obtained from the present study can serve as a baseline to compare the future survey and helps to provide healthcare services that fulfil patient desires and expectations.

In the present work, single-layered polycrystalline Ruddlesden-Popper oxide, SrLaMn0.5Ni0.5O4 (SLMNO) has been synthesized and characterized. X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy revealed tetragonal crystal structure (I4/mmm) with lattice parameters of a = b = 3.8388 (4) Å and c =12.5593 (2) Å. XPS analysis confirms Mn4+/Ni2+ as the major valance state in SLMNO. Temperature evolution of dc magnetization suggests a ferromagnetic ordering below 130 K followed by a glassy like behaviour below 13 K. The ac susceptibility measurement corroborates the dc magnetization data and confirms cluster glass behavior at lower temperatures. Interestingly, SLMNO exhibits a negative exchange bias of ∼ 0.075 kOe at 5 K under field cooling of 50 kOe and also shows the existence of spin-phonon coupling.

The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized the way we collect and analyse data in real-time by connecting physical devices and equipment to the internet. However, there are still challenges when it comes to extracting data from machines that cannot be programmed. This project proposes an IoT-based system designed to overcome this hurdle by collecting real-time data from such non-programmable machinery. The system is composed of three main components: a dashboard, IoT sensors, and the non-programmable devices themselves. The IoT sensors are attached to the non-programmable equipment and serve as data collectors. They transmit the gathered data to the cloud through a gateway. The dashboard is the visual representation of this data. It provides an intuitive user interface that displays the collected data in real-time. This allows users to monitor and evaluate the performance of the non-programmable equipment, identify any irregularities, and make necessary improvements. The proposed system has potential applications in various fields, including industrial automation, logistics, and supply chain management. By enabling real-time monitoring and performance assessment of non-programmable equipment, it can help businesses enhance their productivity, minimize downtime, and improve efficiency. Agrochemicals contaminate water bodies in agroecosystems, which affects the health of fishes. We assessed erythrocytic nuclear abnormalities (ENA) in Cyprinus carpio reared in uncontaminated and contaminated water bodies. We recorded micronucleus, notched nucleus, lobed nucleus, kidney bean-shaped nucleus, bi-nucleated, blebbed nucleus, karyopyknosis, nuclear shift, ooze out nucleus, and elongated nucleus at higher incidences in fish reared in the contaminated site. We observed a high percent incidence of ENA and micronucleus in fish from the contaminated site. The analysis of heavy metals with atomic absorption spectroscopy revealed that all heavy metals (Mn, Zn, Ni, Pb, Cd, Fe) were high in the contaminated site except for Cu in water and Cu and Cr in sediments. Correlation matrix analysis showed that total ENA increased with Cu (r = 0.996, p < 0.0001), Mn (r = 0.942, p < 0.0001), Zn (r = 0.517, p = 0.07), and Cr (r = 0.997, p = 0.0001). Compared to the uncontaminated site, the incidence of micronuclei was 20 times higher in the fish from the contaminated site, and this was influenced by the Cu, Mn, Zn, and Cr contents in the sediments. This study indicated that the heavy metal contamination of a water body located in an agroecosystem contributed to nuclear abnormalities in C. carpio. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
