Taking an industrial standpoint, the recognition of Fe(III) as a heavy metal ion can exert a profound impact on the industry. In this research, we synthesized carbon dots from a novel and local green source by hydrothermal method. Afterwards, characterization tests, like dynamic light scattering, zeta potential sizer, atomic force microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, elemental analysis, and transmission electron microscopy have been done. After investigation of physicochemical properties, the proposed novel nanobiosensor based on multicolor carbon dots can detect Fe(III) with ultra-low detection limit compared with other studies. The designed nanobiosensor does not identify other ions, confirming its detection specificity. Besides, this nanobiosensor can detect Fe(III) ion in two different conditions, tap water and cysteine solution as real samples. This accurate and sensitive detection of Fe(III) in different conditions can play an impressive role in industries in the near future. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We study an exactly solvable algebraic Hamiltonian for odd systems that allows to span the whole range between prolate and oblate spectra, while maintaining the S U BF (3) ⊗ U s F (2) dynamical symmetry, thanks to the mixing of quadratic and cubic Casimir operators of S U BF (3) . We choose a j = 1 / 2 , 3 / 2 , and 5 / 2 fermionic basis that is coupled to coherent states for the boson part. With this, we diagonalize the Boson–Fermion Hamiltonian obtaining potential energy surfaces for each component. We find a very rich variety of behaviours: the various orbitals do not display the same shape, some are prolate, while others are oblate, and they make the transition following different paths. In this paper, a transitional interacting boson model (IBM) Hamiltonian in both sd-(IBM) and sdg-IBM versions based on affine Lie algebra is employed to describe deviations from the gamma-unstable nature of Hamiltonian along the chain of Xe isotopes. sdg-IBM Hamiltonian proposed a better interpretation of this deviation which cannot be explained in the -boson models. The nuclei studied have well-known bands close to the -unstable limit. The energy levels, transition rates and signature splitting of the -vibrational band are calculated via the affine SU(1,1) Lie algebra. An acceptable degree of agreement was achieved based on this procedure. It is shown that in these isotopes the signature splitting is better reproduced by the inclusion of sdg-IBM. In none of them, any evidence for a stable, triaxial ground state shape is found. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
