Particular attention is paid to the political and diplomatic aspects, investigated through a wide range of different sources: public and private correspondence, memoirs, ceremonies, iconographic sources. The royal and noble courts are flanked by the papal court and the many courts animated by ministers, patricians, nobles and noblewomen, and by the diplomatic agents themselves. The study of political and cultural exchanges between their various courtly locations is intertwined with the comparative investigation between Italy and Spain. Lo studio è dedicato all'attività di Francesco Parisi quale segretario ed epistolografo nella Roma di fine Settecento. Si analizza in modo particolare il modello di segretario che propone nelle sue Istruzioni del 1781.

Innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) are highly plastic and predominantly mucosal tissue-resident cells that contribute to both homeostasis and inflammation depending on the microenvironment. The discovery of naive-like ILCs suggests an ILC differentiation process that is akin to naive T cell differentiation. Delineating the mechanisms that underlie ILC differentiation in tissues is crucial for understanding ILC biology in health and disease. Here, we showed that tonsillar ILCs expressing CD45RA lacked proliferative activity, indicative of cellular quiescence. CD62L distinguished two subsets of CD45RA(+) ILCs. CD45RA(+)CD62L(+) ILCs (CD62L(+) ILCs) resembled circulating naive ILCs because they lacked the transcriptional, metabolic, epigenetic, and cytokine production signatures of differentiated ILCs. CD45RA(+)CD62L(-) ILCs (CD62L(-) ILCs) were epigenetically similar to CD62L(+) ILCs but showed a transcriptional, metabolic, and cytokine production signature that was more akin to differentiated ILCs. CD62L(+) and CD62L(-) ILCs contained uni- and multipotent precursors of ILC1s/NK cells and ILC3s. Differentiation of CD62L(+) and CD62L(-) ILCs led to metabolic reprogramming including up-regulation of genes associated with glycolysis, which was needed for their effector functions after differentiation. CD62L(-) ILCs with preferential differentiation capacity toward IL-22-producing ILC3s accumulated in the inflamed mucosa of patients with inflammatory bowel disease. These data suggested distinct differentiation potential of CD62L(+) and CD62L(-) ILCs between tissue microenvironments and identified that manipulation of these cells is a possible approach to restore tissue-immune homeostasis.

Historiographic debate, legal treaties, philosophical and economic writings, administrative documents, rules and disputes: around feudalism and the role of the feud in the processes of ennobling and social mobility there is a whole interweaving of government interventions, reflections, protests, sometimes rebellions. The feudal question is confirmed as a problematic node of reform policies, of civil and economic development projects of Sicilies in the context of European transformations, and of the historiographic tradition on and of the South. Not only that but, far from a mere polemical invention of the Enlightenment writers, it re-emerges as a constitutive dimension of the social, political and legal organization, although certainly far from representing southern history as a whole. Attempts at reform and resistance unfold throughout the century, from Charles of Bourbon and his minister Bernardo Tanucci up to the anti-feudal law of 1799 and the subversive laws of Giuseppe Bonaparte and Gioacchino Murat., Editore: FedOA - Federico II University Press Collana: Clio. Dibattito storiografico, trattati giuridici, scritti filosofici ed economici, documenti amministrativi, norme e contestazioni: intorno alla feudalità e al ruolo del feudo nei processi di nobilitazione e di mobilità sociale è tutto un intreccio di interventi governativi, riflessioni, proteste, talora ribellioni. La questione feudale si conferma come nodo problematico delle politiche e dei dibattiti riformatori, dei progetti di sviluppo civile e economico delle Sicilie nel quadro delle trasformazioni e dei condizionamenti europei, e della stessa tradizione storiografica sul e del Mezzogiorno. Non solo ma, tutt’altro che mera invenzione polemica degli scrittori illuministi, riemerge come dimensione costitutiva dell’organizzazione sociale, politica e giuridica, anche se lontana, certo, dal rappresentare nel suo insieme la storia meridionale. Tentativi di riforma e resistenze si snodano lungo l’arco del secolo, da Carlo di Borbone e dal suo ministro Bernardo Tanucci via via fino alla legge antifeudale del 1799 e alle leggi eversive di Giuseppe Bonaparte e Gioacchino Murat.
