Purpose: The primary purpose of this study was to check the online information retrieval self-efficacy among library professionals in predicting the satisfaction of patrons within universities' libraries. Design/methodology/approach: The study was grounded on Bandura four sources of self-efficacy, encompassing mastery experience, vicarious experience, social persuasion and physiological states. To accomplish this, a meticulously designed questionnaire was administered to collect data from library professionals employed in universities libraries recognized by the Higher Education Commission in Punjab and capital city of Pakistan (Islamabad). Following by the validation of assumptions, researchers conducted a multiple linear regression test to predict the outcomes of the dependent variable by using the independents variables. Additionally, a comparative evaluation was carried out among all the independent variables to determine their respective contributions to satisfaction of library patrons. Findings: The results emphasized the distinct and substantial significance of three variables, physiological states, social feedback and mastery experience in predicting the satisfaction of library patrons. Nevertheless, vicarious experience did not demonstrate a significant influence on the satisfaction of library patrons. Furthermore, influence of physiological states on the improvement of library patrons' satisfaction was relatively higher compared to other three self-efficacy sources. In conclusion, research established the essential role of online information retrieval self-efficacy in enhancing the satisfaction of library patrons. Practical implications: The findings of the study can form a solid basis for devising academic programs to train the library professionals for effective utilization of various information systems and databases. These programs play an important role in improving the self-efficacy of library professionals, ultimately refining their skills in online information retrieval. Originality/value: In essence, this study provides insights into the factors which are pivotal in effective information searching process, ultimately leading to increase the satisfaction level of library patrons which has not been previously researched in Pakistan as well as the world context. Moreover, the study significance lies in contribute to academic discourse, its potential to transform and promote the library services and as well as empower library professionals in delivering the satisfying and efficient experience for library patrons in the current digital age. Purpose: This study aims to examine the relationship between personality traits and digital literacy skills among university librarians of Punjab, Pakistan. Design/methodology/approach: Five research hypotheses were established to achieve the study objectives. Two instruments; namely, "big five inventory (BFI)" scale of personality traits and a structured questionnaire of digital literacy skills (library literacy, computer literacy, tool literacy, information retrieval literacy and research support literacy) were used to collect the data. Pearson correlation test and correlation research design were used to examine the relationship between digital literacy skills and personality traits of university librarians. Findings: The findings of the study revealed significant relationships between personality traits and all digital literacy skills. The study concluded that librarians having the extraversion trait are more inclined toward digital literacy skills and they can perform well in the libraries as compared to professionals with other traits. Research limitations/implications: This study measures the digital literacy skills among the librarians of "higher education commission" recognized universities of Punjab, Pakistan. The study conclusions and findings are limited in scope to only the librarians of these universities. Such topic has no previous research. Practical implications: This study has practical implication for university libraries, library associations, librarians and library professionals. The results of the study are also useful for librarians to acquire digital literacy skills, which are necessary in the current digital environment to manage the libraries. Social implications: Library professionals can get digital literacy skills to face the challenges of digital age. Originality/value: Some researchers examined the relationship of personality traits with the social networking sites, internet addiction, knowledge sharing behavior, information seeking behavior and academic performance. This study in particular identified the relationship of personality traits with the digital literacy skills, which are essential for managing the libraries. OBJECTIVES: The objective of the study is to explore common behavioral problems among special children who suffer from learning disabilities and examine whether their learning disabilities can cause psychological adjustment problems in children and split up as per gender. STUDY DESIGN: Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis PLACE & DURATION OF STUDY: Study was conducted from March, 2015 to August, 2015 in GISL, Okara and GHSS(HIC), Chiniot. METHOD: Inclusion and Exclusion criteria were followed to gather data for this study. Slow learner children with learning disabilities (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia) and hearing impaired children with dysgraphia (writing difficulties) with an age range 6-18 years and IQ ranges 70-90were included whereas slow learner children without learning disability and hearing impaired children without learning disability were excluded. Sample of 110 was selected which comprised of 50(Hearing Impaired children with learning disability), (20 girls and 30 boys) and 60 slow learners with learning disability(30 boys and 30 girls) using purposive sampling technique and data was collected from parents, teachers and children with learning disabilities using semi structured interview guide for qualitative analysis and Child Behavior Checklist and Psychological Adjustment Scale for quantitative analysis. RESULTS: Results showed that special children with LD have Mean=56.95, SD=23.889 on Behavioral Checklist and on Psychological Adjustment Scale, results showed that .9% of children with LD were well adjusted, 11.8 were adjusted, 44.5% less adjusted, 37.3% were maladjusted and 5.5% were severe maladjusted out of 110 population of special children with learning disabilities whereas, as per gender, there was statistically no significant difference on Behavioral Checklist and Psychological Adjustment Scale. CONCLUSION: Learning Disabilities have comorbidity of behavioral problems and maladjustment, Furthermore, boys and girls with learning disabilities have same tendency of psychological adjustment problems and as well as behavioral problems. Uncontrolled cell growth in the two spongy lung organs in the chest is the most prevalent kind of cancer. When cells from the lungs spread to other tissues and organs, this is referred to as metastasis. This work uses image processing, deep learning, and metaheuristics to identify cancer in its early stages. At this point, a new convolutional neural network is constructed. The predator technique has the potential to increase network architecture and accuracy. Deep learning identified lung cancer spinal metastases in as energy consumption increased CT readings for lung cancer bone metastases decreased. Qualified physicians, on the other hand, discovered 71.14 and 74.60 percent of targets with energies of 140 and 60 keV, respectively, whereas the proposed model gives 76.51 and 81.58 percent, respectively. Expert physicians' detection rate was 74.60 percent lower than deep learning's detection rate of 81.58 percent. The proposed method has the highest accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity (93.4, 98.4, and 97.1 percent, respectively), as well as the lowest error rate (1.6 percent). Finally, in lung segmentation, the proposed model outperforms the CNN model. High-intensity energy-spectral CT images are more difficult to segment than low-intensity energy-spectral CT images. Objective To determine the outcome of combination of microneedling with PRP in patients with post acne atrophic scars attending the Dermatology Department in a tertiary care hospital of Lahore. Methods A descriptive case series was performed on a total of 60 patients with post acne scars who fulfilled a predefined inclusion criterion. An informed consent was taken. Relevant information about the patient's demographic data and grade of acne scarring was noted along with baseline photography. All patients were given three sessions of microneedling with PRP at one month intervals, using standard treatment protocol and the scars were graded four weeks after the 3rd session using the same grading system. Photographs were taken at each visit and 3 weeks after the last visit. The effectiveness of treatment was determined as per decided operational definition. Data was analyzed using SPSS version 17. Results Total of 60 patients completed the study, having mean age of 28.65 years. Most of them were females. The effectiveness of treatment in terms of reduction in grade of acne scarring in one or more grades from baseline was observed in 78.33% (47), while in 21.67% (13) treatment was not effective. Most of the people all over the world pass away from complications related to lung cancer every single day. It is a deadly form of the disease. To improve a person's chances of survival, an early diagnosis is a necessary prerequisite. In this regard, the existing methods of tumour detection, such as CT scans, are most commonly used to recognize infected regions. Despite this, there are certain obstacles presented by CT imaging, so this paper proposes a novel model which is a correlation-based model designed for analysis of lung cancer. When registering pictures of thoracic and abdominal organs with slider motion, the total variation regularization term may correct the border discontinuous displacement field, but it cannot maintain the local characteristics of the image and loses the registration accuracy. The thin-plate spline energy operator and the total variation operator are spatially weighted via the spatial position weight of the pixel points to construct an adaptive thin-plate spline total variation regular term for lung image CT single-mode registration and CT/PET dual-mode registration. The regular term is then combined with the CRMI similarity measure and the L-BFGS optimization approach to create a nonrigid registration procedure. The proposed method assures the smoothness of interior of the picture while ensuring the discontinuous motion of the border and has greater registration accuracy, according to the experimental findings on the DIR-Lab 4D-CT public dataset and the CT/PET clinical dataset. Objective To determine the efficacy of intradermal injection of platelet rich plasma in combination with methotrexate in patients of chronic plaque psoriasis. Methods It was a descriptive case series performed in department of dermatology, FJMU/SGRH Lahore from April 4, 2018 till Oct 4, 2018. A total number of 73 patients enrolled from outpatient department, after acceptance from ethical review board and written informed consent, patients fulfilling the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The demographic information like age, gender, address was collected and recorded as per proforma. All cases were treated under supervision of consultant dermatologist having more than 5 years of clinical experience to avoid bias. The study was conducted for 16 weeks, in which patients were treated for a period of 15 weeks and results were calculated by the end of 16th week. All cases were treated with PRP and MTX both. Autologous PRP was prepared from patient's peripheral blood through 2-stage centrifugation process as per established protocol. Each patient was given intra-lesional PRP in psoriatic plaques on 1st week, 0.1 ml of PRP was given at each point with 2cm spacing followed by 15mg of intralesional MTX weekly for 4 weeks i.e. 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th week' after 1 week of PRP injection, 15 mg of MTX were divided among the plaques so that 1.25mg was given at each point with a space of 2cm between two points. Second administration of intralesional PRP was done in the psoriatic plaques on 6th week followed by similar administration of intra-lesional MTX on 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th week. Third intralesional PRP was given on 11th week and then intra-lesional MTX was given again on 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th week. Both PRP and MTX were given through intra-lesional route to avoid toxicity associated with systemic administration. All cases were observed for the effect of treatment by the end of 16th week and PASI was calculated. Efficacy was labeled as per operational definition. Results The mean age of cases was 39.60 ±12.15 years in range of 18 and 60 years. There were 24 (32.88%) male and 49 (67.12%) female cases, with higher female cases. According to operational definition 60 (82.19%) had efficacy while 13 (17.81%) cases did not meet the criteria of efficacy. Conclusion The efficacy of intradermal injection of platelet rich plasma in combination with methotrexate in patients of chronic plaque psoriasis is highly effective. It is becoming more and more apparent that many of the genetic alterations associated with cancer are located in areas that do not encode proteins. lncRNAs are a class of RNAs that do not code for proteins but play a crucial role in maintaining cell function and regulating various cellular processes. By doing this, they have recently introduced what may be a brand-new and essential layer of biological control. These have more than 200 nucleotides and are linked to several diseases; as a result, they have become potential tools for therapeutic intervention. Emerging technologies suggest the presence of mutations on genomic loci that give rise to lncRNAs rather than proteins in a disease as complex as cancer. These lncRNAs play essential parts in gene regulation, which impacts several cellular homeostasis processes, including proliferation, survival, migration, and genomic stability. The leading cause of death in the world today is cancer. Delays in diagnosis and a lack of standard and efficient treatments are the leading causes of the high death rate. Clinically, surgery is frequently used successfully to remove cancers that have not spread, but it is less successful in treating metastatic cancer, which has a drastically lower chance of survival. Chemotherapeutic drugs are a typical therapy to treat the cancer that has spread to other organs. Drug resistance to chemotherapy, however, presents a significant challenge to achieving positive outcomes and is frequently the cause of treatment failure. A substantial barrier to progress in medical oncology is cancer drug resistance. Resistance can develop clinically either before or after cancer treatment. According to this study, lncRNAs influence drug resistance through several different methods. LncRNAs often impact drug resistance by controlling the expression of a few intermediary regulatory variables rather than by directly affecting drug resistance. Additionally, lncRNAs have a variety of roles in cancer medication resistance. Most lncRNAs induce drug resistance when overexpressed; however, other lncRNAs have inhibitory effects. Scabies is a common parasitic infestation in our population which can affect individuals of all ages. More than 300 million cases of scabies are reported annually. It is caused by a mite called Sarcoptes Scabiei. Common clinical manifestations include classic burrows, papules, nodules, crusts, excoriations and rarely vesicles and bullae.
