A steel-concrete beam was taken as the study object. The algorithm of selecting the number of stiff supports for the steel-concrete beam loaded with a concentrated lateral force in the middle of the span has been refined. Stiff supports served to join the steel strip with concrete to ensure their joint performance. The algorithm was refined based on the condition of equality of the longitudinal force in the steel strip from the action of the calculated load and the maximum longitudinal force obtained after setting the supports. In this case, the longitudinal forces in all stiff supports, as well as the spacing of the stiff supports should be the same. A disadvantage of the known algorithm consists in the complexity of determining the coefficient φb2taking into account the effect of long-term concrete creep on the element deformation without cracks. This coefficient fluctuates widely and depends on many factors. Besides, it is also insufficiently studied. Calculations for determining the number and spacing of stiff supports in a steel-concrete beam were conducted according to the proposed algorithm and in the Lira software package. The forces acting on the supports and spacing of the supports were the same. The force acting in the support was 8941.5N. When selecting characteristics of the steel-concrete beam, maximum longitudinal force in the steel strip was obtained. The longitudinal force amounted to 35726N. The same longitudinal force was obtained from the diagram of longitudinal forces obtained after setting the supports. This study was aimed at improving the design of steel-concrete beams. A rational number and placement of stiff supports ensure savings: the required amount of building materials is reduced and their cost is reduced due to cutting labor costs for their manufacture and operation

A large number of bridges in Ukraine have been built in the 60–70 s (about 54 % of the total number). In that regard, the number of cases of detecting various types of damage on the elements of bridge structures is increasing, which can cause emergencies in the future. It also suggests that most of the bridges and overpasses were built according to the old technical standards and now do not meet the modern standards of DBN V.2.3-14: 2006 and DBN V.2.3-22: 2009, both in terms of carrying capacity and dimensions of the roadway. Therefore, the issues of strengthening the existing spans are relevant. Goal. The work analyzes the effect of reinforcement of diaphragm spans on their spatial work in order to determine the effectiveness of reinforcement by gluing additional rigid reinforcement and installing transverse metal beams. The tasks that have been solved in the work are as follows: creating an adequate finite element model of the diaphragm span; limiting the number of options for design schemes to the optimal number; construction and analysis of the graphs of bending moments and deflections in the cross-section in the middle of the span of beams. Results. The graphs of the distribution of bending moments in the beams of the superstructure for different dimensions show that the presence of reinforcement does not affect the value of the bending moment, and the distribution of forces between the beams of the superstructure becomes less uniform with an increase in their number. The deflections for all load cases and dimensions are greater than the deflections of beams with reinforcement; however, the installation of an additional transverse metal beam does not affect the values and distribution of deflections. Beam deflection graphs become less uniform with an increase in their number. Practical value. Analysis of the effect of reinforcement on the spatial work of span structures has shown that only reinforcement of beams with longitudinal rigid reinforcement without installing transverse beams is expedient in practice., Для аналізу просторової роботи прогонових будов, зведених відповідно до ТП 56, створено скінченно-елементні моделі з огляду на сумісну роботу, використовуючи сталеві наклади. Розглянуто всі варіанти прольотів та габаритів типового проекту та два варіанти підсилення. Наведено аналіз впливу підсилення балок на їхню просторову роботу.

Уточнен алгоритм подбора количества жестких упоров для балки из сталебетона, загруженной поперечной сосредоточенной силой посередине пролета. Жесткие упоры служат для соединения стальной полосы с бетоном, что обеспечивает их совместную работу. Алгоритм уточняется исходя из условия равенства продольной силы в стальной полосе от действия расчетной нагрузки и максимальной продольной силы, полученной после постановки упоров. Недостатком известного алгоритма является сложность определения коэффициента, учитывающего влияние длительной ползучести бетона на деформации элемента без трещин φb2. Этот коэффициент колеблется в значительных пределах, и зависит от многих факторов, а также недостаточно исследован. Проведены расчеты определения количества и шага жестких упоров в сталебетонных балках. Расчеты проводились по предложенному алгоритму и в программном комплексе «Лира». Усилия, действующие на упоры, и шаг упоров одинаковые. Величина усилия в упоре равна 8941,5Н. При подборе характеристик сталебетонной балки была получена максимальная продольная сила в полосе. Величина продольной силы 35726Н. Такая же продольная сила была получена по эпюре продольных сил, полученная после установки упоров. Данное исследование направлено на усовершенствование конструкции сталебетонных балок. Рациональное количество и расстановка жестких упоров приведет к экономии: как к снижению необходимого количества строительных материалов, так и к снижению их стоимости за счет уменьшения затрат труда, связанных с их изготовлением и эксплуатацией, Об’єктом дослідження є сталебетонна балка. Уточнено алгоритм підбору кількості жорстких упорів для балки зі сталебетону, яка навантажена поперечною зосередженою силою посередині прольоту. Алгоритм уточнено, виходячи з умови рівності повздовжньої сили в сталевій смузі від дії розрахункового навантаження і максимальної повздовжньої сили, що отримана після встановлення упорів. При цьому повздовжні зусилля в усіх жорстких упорах, а також крок жорстких упорів? повинні бути однаковими. Недоліком відомого алгоритму є складність визначення коефіцієнту, який враховує вплив тривалої повзучості бетону на деформації елементу без тріщин φb2. Цей коефіцієнт коливається в значних межах, і залежить від багатьох факторів, а також досліджений недостатньо. Проведено розрахунки визначення кількості та кроку жорстких упорів в сталебетонних балках. Розрахунки було проведено за запропонованим алгоритмом та в програмному комплексі «Ліра». Зусилля, діючі на упори, та крок упорів однакові. Величина зусилля в упорі дорівнює 8941,5 Н. При підборі характеристик сталебетонної балки було отримано максимальне повздовжнє зусилля в смузі. Величина повздовжньої сили 35726 Н. Таку ж саме повздовжню силу було отримано за епюрою повздовжніх сил, що отримана після встановлення упорів. Це дослідження спрямовано на вдосконалення конструкції сталебетонних балок. Раціональна кількість і розташування жорстких упорів призведе до економії, як до зменшення необхідної кількості будівельних матеріалів, так і до зниження їх вартості за рахунок зменшення витрат праці, пов’язаних з їх виготовленням та експлуатацією

An investigation into rail track operation under loads from the rolling stock by applying numerical methods makes it possible to obtain information on the impact on track and features of the deflected mode of the whole structure in various operational conditions at much lower costs if compared with conducting experiments. Numerical methods make it possible to specify the input design data, which is virtually impossible in experiments.However, numerical methods can only be implemented when mathematical models adequately reproduce the actual operation of both the vehicle/track dynamic system and track structure. It refers entirely to simulation of the track/vehicle interaction. Thus, simulation of the track/vehicle interaction is an urgent task.At present the most widely-used track model is the one in which rails are presented as bars of infinite length rested on continuous elastic foundation. However, some specialists consider the model to be rather ideal for railways in terms of track and the technical state of track. Calculation of track as a bar rested on numerous elastic supports with variable characteristics of stiffness under static loads has shown that application of methods of elastic foundation gives results understated by 17-24% [7]. The study presents mathematic models of the vehicle/track dynamic system, and a design scheme of track presented as a bar on numerous elastic dissipative supports with non-linear characteristics, which is taken on the base of this system.The authors developed models and methods to define the reduced vertical stiffness of the track in the wheel/rail contact point, which considers rail elastic and geometric characteristics, stiffness of supports, distance between supports and distributed track mass. The value of stiffness is variable by time for each wheel at any time and various for the vehicle’s wheels. The mathematical model proposed has been implemented in Matlab software and will make it possible to conduct numerical research into the track/vehicle dynamics., Разработаны модели и методы определения приведенной вертикальной жесткости рельсовой нити в точке контакта колеса и рельса, которая учитывает упругие и геометрические характеристики рельсов, жесткости опор, расстояния между ними и распределенную массу пути. Величина этой жесткости переменна во времени для каждого колеса в любой момент времени и различна для разных колес экипажа. Предложенная математическая модель реализована в программном комплексе Matlab и позволит в дальнейшем выполнить численные исследования динамики взаимодействия пути и подвижного состава., Розроблено моделі і методи визначення приведеної вертикальної жорсткості рейкової нитки в точці контакту колеса і рейки, яка враховує пружні і геометричні характеристики рейок, жорсткості опор, відстані між ними і розподілену масу колії. Величина цієї жорсткості змінна в часі для кожного колеса у будь-який момент часу і відрізняється для різних коліс екіпажу. Запропонована математична модель реалізована в програмному комплексі Matlab і дасть змогу надалі виконати чисельні дослідження динаміки взаємодії колії і рухомого складу.

This paper presents a numerical procedure for the analysis of complex laminate structures. The procedure is based on the application of reduced stiffness of complex laminate. Introduction of reduced stiffness of composite facilitates both linear and nonlinear numerical integration, i.e. the tangential stiffness matrix is translated in the classical plate theory problem. The formulated numerical procedure was implemented in the program system KOMIPS. Special subroutine REDKRUT that calculates reduced stiffness of the laminate was written, and its application in numerical verification of experiments conducted on chairs was presented in (Nestorovic, 2010). At the end of this work, for 3D stress and strain analysis of veneer composites, recommendations were given for experimental determination of all nine independent material constants E-x, E-y, E-z, v(xy), v(xz), G(xy), G(xz), G(yz), five of which were determined in the previous paper of the author (Nestorovic, 2010).

One of the tasks of examining bridges and overpasses is to determine the bearing capacity of structures and evaluate the real joint operation of all structural elements. Ribbed precast reinforced concrete spans are the most common in Ukraine. Consequently, the calculations of such structures are performed very often, and the development of a convenient and real model of such spans is relevant. Goal. In prefabricated diaphragm spans, the joining between the beams is most often performed with steel plates. Therefore, the real joint work between the beams is determined by the stiffness and presence of the plates, as well as the thickness of the asphalt concrete pavement on the bridge, which also affects the joint work. The tasks of the paper are as follows: analysis of the models of diaphragm superstructure with and without taking into account the plates, identifying options for setting the stiffness of elements modeling the plates, comparing the obtained results with the data of full-scale testing of a similar superstructure. Results. Analysis of the deflection lines makes it possible to choose the model whose deflections are the closest to the experimental ones for further calculations. This model considers all the design features of ribbed diaphragm superstructures, which is convenient in terms of modeling moving load and does not require additional calculations for the numerical problem of core elements that simulate metal plate between the diaphragms. In addition, this model allows to take into account the layers of asphalt concrete pavement of the roadway and their influence on the joint work of the superstructure beams. Practical value. The selected model allows to take into account the state and the presence of all metal plates between the diaphragms, which will make possible to analyze the real work of the diaphragm span and to determine its bearing capacity.Keywords: ribbed precast reinforced concrete spans, diaphragm, finite element models, steel plates, reduced stiffness, deflection lines., Одной из задач обследования мостов и путепроводов является определение несущей способности конструкций и оценка реальной совместной работы всех конструктивных элементов. Ребристые сборные железобетонные пролетные строения являются наиболее распространенными на территории Украины. Следовательно, расчеты таких конструкций выполняют очень часто, и разработка удобной и реальной модели таких пролетных строений является актуальной. В сборных диафрагменных пролетных строениях объединение между балками чаще всего выполнено стальными накладками. Поэтому реальная совместная работа между балками определяется жесткостью и наличием накладок, а также толщиной асфальтобетонного покрытия на мосту, которое также влияет на совместную работу. Задачи работы: анализ моделей диафрагменного пролетного строения без учета накладок и с ними; определение вариантов задания жесткости элементов, моделирующих накладки; сравнение полученных результатов с данными натурного испытания аналогичного пролетного строения.Анализ линий прогибов дает возможность выбрать для дальнейших расчетов модель, прогибы которой наиболее близки к экспериментальным. Эта модель учитывает все конструктивные особенности ребристых диафрагменных пролетных строений, удобная с точки зрения моделирования подвижной нагрузки и не требует дополнительных расчетов для численной задачи стержневых элементов, моделирующих металлические накладки между диафрагмами. Кроме того, эта модель позволяет учесть слои асфальтобетонного покрытия проезжей части и их влияние на совместную работу балок пролетного строения. Выбранная модель позволяет учитывать состояние и наличие всех металлических накладок между диафрагмами, что позволит проанализировать реальную работу диафрагменного пролетного строения и определить его несущую способность.

Postupak se temelji na primjeni reducirane krutosti komplesnog laminata. Uvođenjem reducirane krutosti kompozita numerička se integracija, kako linearne, tako i nelinearne, odnosno tangencijalne matrice krutosti, prevodi u problem klasične teorije ploča. Formulirana numerička procedura implementirana je u sklopu programskog paketa KOMIPS. Napisana je posebna subrutina REDKRUT, kojom se proračunavaju reducirane krutosti laminata, a njegova primjena u provjeri numeričkih eksperimenata provedenih na stolcima prikazana je u radu (Nestorovic, 2010.). Za 3-D analizu naprezanja i deformacija furnirskih kompozita na kraju ovog rada dane su preporuke za eksperimentalno određivanje svih devet neovisnih materijalnih konstanti: Ex, Ey, Ez, vxy, vxz, Gxy, Gxz, Gyz, od kojih je pet određeno u prethodnom autoričinu radu (Nestorović, 2010.).

Пропонується методика розрахунку заправних тисків і об’ємів пневмоціліндрів та побудови пружних характеристик двоступінчастих пневмогідравлічних ресор підвіски транспортних засобів, відповідно до необхідної приведеної жорсткості та з урахуванням змінної величини силового та кінематичного чисел підвіски. Методика дозволяє підвищити точність розрахунків параметрів ресор та забезпечити розташування власних частот коливань підресореного корпусу у необхідних межах, що позитивно позначиться на плавності ходу транспортного засобу. The method of calculation of filling pressures and volumes of air cylinders and two-stage construction of the elastic characteristics of the suspension springs pneumatichydraulic vehicles in accordance with the required stiffness and reduced into account variable force and kinematic properties of the suspension. The technique allows to improve the accuracy of calculating the parameters of springs and provide the location of the natural oscillation frequencies of the cushioning body to the extent necessary, which favorably affect the smooth running of the vehicle.

The value of shear stiffness, or stiffness to bending of structural elements (beams or walls), was varied during this analysis. The following question was answered: why did European Standard EN 1998-1:2004 set the element stiffness reduction to fifty percent of the initial value, what happens if such limit is exceeded, how is the relevant load combination type influenced by stiffness reduction, and what is the difference in the quantity of reinforcement obtained according to linear methods, if the reduction of stiffness is, or is not, taken into account.

Розроблено модель гексапода і конструкцію вимірювального стенда, запропоновано методику опрацювання результатів вимірювання, що дозволяє визначити вектор узагальненого пружного переміщення платформи гексапода при навантаженні та жорсткість, приведену до точки навантаження. Встановлено залежність приведеної жорсткості від положення рухомої платформи та координат прикладення навантаження. The parallel machine tools stiffness is the most important as to their high accuracy and performance. The hexapods stiffness is considered in the article, as the hexapod is one of the effective machine tools for multiaxis processing. The objective is to experimentally measure the elastic deformation of hexapod platform under loading by the force, to determine the spatial stiffness depending on the position of the moving platform and loading force, to calculate the reduced stiffness at the loading point. The simplified hexapod model is developed and manufactured. The model consists of solid base and the moving platform connected to the base with six variable length struts. Each strut consists of two telescopic tubes with collet clamping device to lock its length. The struts also have the universal joints at both ends. It is possible to change the platform position and orientation arbitrarily within certain range by changing the struts length. Then the platform position can be locked by tightening the collet clamps of each strut. The stiffness of each hexapod strut is measured and its average value is calculated. The measuring bench is designed to measure the solely displacement of platform caused by the struts deformation and exclude the base deformation. With the manufactured equipment it is possible to apply the force to the platform at an arbitrary direction and angle, to simulate the load on the different height of the platform, from the top or the bottom of the platform. The force is created by the screw tensioner and measured with spring force gage dynamometer. The 6x1 spatial force vector is calculated with the force value and its position within the reference frame. The platform displacement is measured by six gages placed around the platform in the particular order. The procedure of experimental data analysis is developed to obtain the generalized spatial displacement from the indicators readings and their position around the movable platform. The 6x1 vector of spatial displacement is obtained for each load and the reduced stiffness is calculated. The relations of elastic deformations from the platform position with the reference to the base and the force position with the reference to the platform are obtained. It is found that when the distance between the loading force and the platform is increased, the longitudinal displacement of the platform center decreases, but the angular displacement increases. This testifies that the longitudinal displacement at the load point is compensated by the displacement caused by the rotation of the moving platform relatively to the center of stiffness. The measurements testified that the maximum stiffness is observed when the moving platform approaches the base. The maximum stiffness is observed when the load is applied at 0.05 to 0.1 m from the joints plane. In this case the stiffness approximately equals the strut stiffness.
