The article presents the computer simulation analysis, which is a technique that allows the health system planners dynamic feedback on their proposed plans for the delivery system in the U.S. This technique provides the planning student to have a better understanding of the systems planning process. Computer simulation is a management tool which has been applied by both government and industry. It helps the students in identifying the essential categories of information needed for planning health systems. The author mentions that when the individual components like facilities of a primary health care delivery system through simulation is analyzed, it furnishes the student health planner the delivery system factors which are important to system performance.

The author of this paper argues that we need a national system for collection of health data which will meet the needs of planners, evaluators and investigators at local, state and federal levels and that national health insurance legislation should require the collection of these data as well as the facts needed for fiscal management.
