1. Enhanced optical properties of MoSe$_2$ grown by molecular beam epitaxy on hexagonal boron nitride

Abstract: Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD) like MoSe$_2$ exhibit remarkable optical properties such as intense photoluminescence (PL) in the monolayer form. To date, narrow-linewidth PL is only achieved in micrometer-sized exfoliated TMD flakes encapsulated in hexagonal boron nitride (hBN). In this work, we develop a growth strategy to prepare monolayer MoSe$_2$ on hBN flakes by molecular beam epitaxy in the van der Waals regime. It constitutes the first step towards the development of large area single crystalline TMDs encapsulated in hBN for potential integration in electronic or opto-electronic devices. For this purpose, we define a two-step growth strategy to achieve monolayer-thick MoSe$_2$ grains on hBN flakes. The high quality of MoSe$_2$ allows us to detect very narrow PL linewidth down to 5.5 meV at 13 K, comparable to the one of encapsulated exfoliated MoSe$_2$ flakes. Moreover, sizeable PL can be detected at room temperature as well as clear reflectivity signatures of A, B and charged excitons., Comment: 6 pages, 6 figures

Abstract: A significant challenge in measurements of neutrino oscillations is reconstructing the incoming neutrino energies. While modern fully-active tracking calorimeters such as liquid argon time projection chambers in principle allow the measurement of all final state particles above some detection threshold, undetected neutrons remain a considerable source of missing energy with little to no data constraining their production rates and kinematics. We present the first demonstration of tagging neutrino-induced neutrons in liquid argon time projection chambers using secondary protons emitted from neutron-argon interactions in the MicroBooNE detector. We describe the method developed to identify neutrino-induced neutrons and demonstrate its performance using neutrons produced in muon-neutrino charged current interactions. The method is validated using a small subset of MicroBooNE's total dataset. The selection yields a sample with $60\%$ of selected tracks corresponding to neutron-induced secondary protons.

Abstract: We present a deep learning-based method for estimating the neutrino energy of charged-current neutrino-argon interactions. We employ a recurrent neural network (RNN) architecture for neutrino energy estimation in the MicroBooNE experiment, utilizing liquid argon time projection chamber (LArTPC) detector technology. Traditional energy estimation approaches in LArTPCs, which largely rely on reconstructing and summing visible energies, often experience sizable biases and resolution smearing because of the complex nature of neutrino interactions and the detector response. The estimation of neutrino energy can be improved after considering the kinematics information of reconstructed final-state particles. Utilizing kinematic information of reconstructed particles, the deep learning-based approach shows improved resolution and reduced bias for the muon neutrino Monte Carlo simulation sample compared to the traditional approach. In order to address the common concern about the effectiveness of this method on experimental data, the RNN-based energy estimator is further examined and validated with dedicated data-simulation consistency tests using MicroBooNE data. We also assess its potential impact on a neutrino oscillation study after accounting for all statistical and systematic uncertainties and show that it enhances physics sensitivity. This method has good potential to improve the performance of other physics analyses.

Abstract: We report the first double-differential cross section measurement of neutral-current neutral pion (NC$\pi^0$) production in neutrino-argon scattering, as well as single-differential measurements of the same channel in terms of final states with and without protons. The kinematic variables of interest for these measurements are the $\pi^0$ momentum and the $\pi^0$ scattering angle with respect to the neutrino beam. A total of 4971 candidate NC$\pi^0$ events fully-contained within the MicroBooNE detector are selected using data collected at a mean neutrino energy of $\sim 0.8$ GeV from $6.4\times10^{20}$ protons on target from the Booster Neutrino Beam at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. After extensive data-driven model validation to ensure unbiased unfolding, the Wiener-SVD method is used to extract nominal flux-averaged cross sections. The results are compared to predictions from commonly used neutrino event generators, which tend to overpredict the measured NC$\pi^0$ cross section, especially in the 0.2-0.5 GeV/c $\pi^0$ momentum range, at forward scattering angles, and when at least one proton is present in the final state. These measurements show sensitivity to a variety of features that complicate the description of NC$\pi^0$ production including the form factors describing the elementary neutrino interaction and the final state interactions of the outgoing particles in the residual argon nucleus. This data will help improve the modeling of NC$\pi^0$ production, which represents a major background in measurements of charge-parity violation in the neutrino sector and in searches for new physics beyond the Standard Model.

Abstract: We present a measurement of neutral pion production in charged-current interactions using data recorded with the MicroBooNE detector exposed to Fermilab's booster neutrino beam. The signal comprises one muon, one neutral pion, any number of nucleons, and no charged pions. Studying neutral pion production in the MicroBooNE detector provides an opportunity to better understand neutrino-argon interactions, and is crucial for future accelerator-based neutrino oscillation experiments. Using a dataset corresponding to $6.86 \times 10^{20}$ protons on target, we present single-differential cross sections in muon and neutral pion momenta, scattering angles with respect to the beam for the outgoing muon and neutral pion, as well as the opening angle between the muon and neutral pion. Data extracted cross sections are compared to generator predictions. We report good agreement between the data and the models for scattering angles, except for an over-prediction by generators at muon forward angles. Similarly, the agreement between data and the models as a function of momentum is good, except for an underprediction by generators in the medium momentum ranges, $200-400$ MeV for muons and $100-200$ MeV for pions.

Abstract: Charged-current neutrino interactions with final states containing zero mesons and at least one proton are of high interest for current and future accelerator-based neutrino oscillation experiments. Using the Booster Neutrino Beam and the MicroBooNE detector at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, we have obtained the first double-differential cross section measurements of this channel for muon neutrino scattering on an argon target with a proton momentum threshold of 0.25 GeV/c. We also report a flux-averaged total cross section of $\sigma = (11.8 \pm 1.2) \times 10^{-38}$ cm$^2$ / Ar and several single-differential measurements which extend and improve upon previous results. Statistical and systematic uncertainties are quantified with a full treatment of correlations across 359 kinematic bins, including correlations between distributions describing different observables. Abstract: We report the first double-differential neutrino-argon cross section measurement made simultaneously for final states with and without protons for the inclusive muon neutrino charged-current interaction channel. The proton kinematics of this channel are further explored with a differential cross section measurement as a function of the leading proton's kinetic energy that extends across the detection threshold. These measurements utilize data collected using the MicroBooNE detector from 6.4$\times10^{20}$ protons on target from the Fermilab Booster Neutrino Beam with a mean neutrino energy of $\sim$0.8 GeV. Extensive data-driven model validation utilizing the conditional constraint formalism is employed. This motivates enlarging the uncertainties with an empirical reweighting approach to minimize the possibility of extracting biased cross section results. The extracted nominal flux-averaged cross sections are compared to widely used event generator predictions revealing severe mismodeling of final states without protons for muon neutrino charged-current interactions, possibly from insufficient treatment of final state interactions. These measurements provide a wealth of new information useful for improving event generators which will enhance the sensitivity of precision measurements in neutrino experiments.

Abstract: A detailed understanding of inclusive muon neutrino charged-current interactions on argon is crucial to the study of neutrino oscillations in current and future experiments using liquid argon time projection chambers. To that end, we report a comprehensive set of differential cross section measurements for this channel that simultaneously probe the leptonic and hadronic systems by dividing the channel into final states with and without protons. Measurements of the proton kinematics and proton multiplicity of the final state are also presented. For these measurements, we utilize data collected with the MicroBooNE detector from 6.4$\times10^{20}$ protons on target from the Fermilab Booster Neutrino Beam at a mean neutrino energy of approximately 0.8 GeV. We present in detail the cross section extraction procedure, including the unfolding, and model validation that uses data to model comparisons and the conditional constraint formalism to detect mismodeling that may introduce biases to extracted cross sections that are larger than their uncertainties. The validation exposes insufficiencies in the overall model, motivating the inclusion of an additional data-driven reweighting systematic to ensure the accuracy of the unfolding. The extracted results are compared to a number of event generators and their performance is discussed with a focus on the regions of phase-space that indicate the greatest need for modeling improvements.

Abstract: Measurements of $K_S^0$ meson production via its $\pi^{+} \pi^{-}$ decay mode in inelastic $\textit{p+p}$ interactions at incident projectile momenta of 31, 40 and 80 GeV/$c$ ($\sqrt{s_{NN}}=7.7, 8.8$ and $12.3$ GeV, respectively) are presented. The data were recorded by the NA61/SHINE spectrometer at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron. Double-differential distributions were obtained in transverse momentum and rapidity. The mean multiplicities of $K_S^0$ mesons were determined to be $(5.95 \pm 0.19 (stat) \pm 0.22 (sys)) \times 10^{-2}$ at 31 GeV/$c$, $(7.61 \pm 0.13 (stat) \pm 0.31 (sys)) \times 10^{-2}$ at 40 GeV/$c$ and $(11.58 \pm 0.12 (stat) \pm 0.37 (sys)) \times 10^{-2}$ at 80 GeV/$c$. Abstract: The critical point of strongly interacting matter is searched for at the CERN SPS by the NA61/SHINE experiment in central $^{40}$Ar +$^{45}$Sc collisions at 13$A$, 19$A$, 30$A$, 40$A$, and 75$A$ GeV/$c$. The dependence of the second-order scaled factorial moments of proton multiplicity distributions on the number of subdivisions in transverse momentum space is measured. The intermittency analysis uses statistically independent data sets for every subdivision in transverse and cumulative-transverse momentum variables. The results obtained do not indicate the searched intermittent pattern. Abstract: We present a first search for dark-trident scattering in a neutrino beam using a data set corresponding to $7.2 \times 10^{20}$ protons on target taken with the MicroBooNE detector at Fermilab. Proton interactions in the neutrino target at the Main Injector produce $\pi^0$ and $\eta$ mesons, which could decay into dark-matter (DM) particles mediated via a dark photon $A^\prime$. A convolutional neural network is trained to identify interactions of the DM particles in the liquid-argon time projection chamber (LArTPC) exploiting its image-like reconstruction capability. In the absence of a DM signal, we provide limits at the $90\%$ confidence level on the squared kinematic mixing parameter $\varepsilon^2$ as a function of the dark-photon mass in the range $10\le M_{A^\prime}\le 400$ MeV. Abstract: This paper presents the energy dependence of multiplicity and net-electric charge fluctuations in p+p interactions at beam momenta 20, 31, 40, 80, and 158 GeV/c. Results are corrected for the experimental biases and quantified with the use of cumulants and factorial cumulants. Cumulant ratios are an essential tool in the search for the critical point of strongly interacting matter in heavy ion collisions. Measurements performed in p+p interactions provide a vital baseline estimation in these studies. Abstract: Collisions of atomic nuclei at relativistic velocities produce new particles, predominantly mesons containing one valence quark and one valence anti-quark. These particles are produced in strong interactions, which preserve an approximate symmetry between up ($u$) and down ($d$) quarks. In the case of $K$ meson production, if this symmetry were exact, it would result in equal numbers of charged ($K^+$ and $K^-$) and neutral ($K^0$ and $\overline K^0$) mesons in the final state. In this Letter, we report a measurement of the relative abundance of charged over neutral $K$ meson production in collisions of argon and scandium nuclei at a center-of-mass energy of 11.9 GeV per nucleon pair. We find that production of $\mathit{K^+}$ and $\mathit{K^-}$ mesons at mid-rapidity is $(18.4\pm 6.1)\%$ higher than that of the neutral $K$ mesons. Abstract: We present the first search for heavy neutral leptons (HNL) decaying into $\nu e^+e^-$ or $\nu\pi^0$ final states in a liquid-argon time projection chamber using data collected with the MicroBooNE detector. The data were recorded synchronously with the NuMI neutrino beam from Fermilab's Main Injector corresponding to a total exposure of $7.01 \times 10^{20}$ protons on target. We set upper limits at the $90\%$ confidence level on the mixing parameter $\lvert U_{\mu 4}\rvert^2$ in the mass ranges $10\le m_{\rm HNL}\le 150$ MeV for the $\nu e^+e^-$ channel and $150\le m_{\rm HNL}\le 245$ MeV for the $\nu\pi^0$ channel, assuming $\lvert U_{e 4}\rvert^2 = \lvert U_{\tau 4}\rvert^2 = 0$. Abstract: We present a set of new generalized kinematic imbalance variables that can be measured in neutrino scattering. These variables extend previous measurements of kinematic imbalance on the transverse plane, and are more sensitive to modeling of nuclear effects. We demonstrate the enhanced power of these variables using simulation, and then use the MicroBooNE detector to measure them for the first time. We report flux-integrated single- and double-differential measurements of charged-current muon neutrino scattering on argon using a topolgy with one muon and one proton in the final state as a function of these novel kinematic imbalance variables. These measurements allow us to demonstrate that the treatment of charged current quasielastic interactions in GENIE version 2 is inadequate to describe data. Further, they reveal tensions with more modern generator predictions particularly in regions of phase space where final state interactions are important.

Abstract: The NA61/SHINE experiment at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron studies the onset of deconfinement in strongly interacting matter through a beam energy scan of particle production in collisions of nuclei of varied sizes. This paper presents results on inclusive double-differential spectra, transverse momentum and rapidity distributions and mean multiplicities of $\pi^\pm$, $K^\pm$, $p$ and $\bar{p}$ produced in $^{40}$Ar+$^{45}$Sc collisions at beam momenta of 13$A$, 19$A$, 30$A$, 40$A$, 75$A$ and 150$A$~\GeVc. The analysis uses the 10\% most central collisions, where the observed forward energy defines centrality. The energy dependence of the $K^\pm$/$\pi^\pm$ ratios as well as of inverse slope parameters of the $K^\pm$ transverse mass distributions are placed in between those found in inelastic $p$+$p$ and central Pb+Pb collisions. The results obtained here establish a system-size dependence of hadron production properties that so far cannot be explained either within statistical or dynamical models.

Abstract: We present a novel methodology to search for intranuclear neutron-antineutron transition ($n\rightarrow\bar{n}$) followed by $\bar{n}$-nucleon annihilation within an $^{40}$Ar nucleus, using the MicroBooNE liquid argon time projection chamber (LArTPC) detector. A discovery of $n\rightarrow\bar{n}$ transition or a new best limit on the lifetime of this process would either constitute physics beyond the Standard Model or greatly constrain theories of baryogenesis, respectively. The approach presented in this paper makes use of deep learning methods to select $n\rightarrow\bar{n}$ events based on their unique features and differentiate them from cosmogenic backgrounds. The achieved signal and background efficiencies are (70.22$\pm$6.04)\% and (0.0020$\pm$0.0003)\%, respectively. A demonstration of a search is performed with a data set corresponding to an exposure of $3.32 \times10^{26}\,$neutron-years, and where the background rate is constrained through direct measurement, assuming the presence of a negligible signal. With this approach, no excess of events over the background prediction is observed, setting a demonstrative lower bound on the $n\rightarrow\bar{n}$ lifetime in $^{40}$Ar of $\tau_{\textrm{m}} \gtrsim 1.1\times10^{26}\,$years, and on the free $n\rightarrow\bar{n}$ transition time of $\tau_{\textrm{\nnbar}} \gtrsim 2.6\times10^{5}\,$s, each at the $90\%$ confidence level. Abstract: We report the first measurement of the differential cross section $d^{2}\sigma (E_{\nu})/ d\cos(\theta_{\mu}) dP_{\mu}$ for inclusive muon-neutrino charged-current scattering on argon. This measurement utilizes data from 6.4$\times10^{20}$ protons on target of exposure collected using the MicroBooNE liquid argon time projection chamber located along the Fermilab Booster Neutrino Beam with a mean neutrino energy of approximately 0.8~GeV. The mapping from reconstructed kinematics to truth quantities, particularly from reconstructed to true neutrino energy, is validated by comparing the distribution of reconstructed hadronic energy in data to that of the model prediction in different muon scattering angle bins after conditional constraint from the muon momentum distribution in data. The success of this validation gives confidence that the missing energy in the MicroBooNE detector is well-modeled in simulation, enabling the unfolding to a triple-differential measurement over muon momentum, muon scattering angle, and neutrino energy. The unfolded measurement covers an extensive phase space, providing a wealth of information useful for future liquid argon time projection chamber experiments measuring neutrino oscillations. Comparisons against a number of commonly used model predictions are included and their performance in different parts of the available phase-space is discussed.

Abstract: We report measurements of radon progeny in liquid argon within the MicroBooNE time projection chamber (LArTPC). The presence of specific radon daughters in MicroBooNE's 85 metric tons of active liquid argon bulk is probed with newly developed charge-based low-energy reconstruction tools and analysis techniques to detect correlated $^{214}$Bi-$^{214}$Po radioactive decays. Special datasets taken during periods of active radon doping enable new demonstrations of the calorimetric capabilities of single-phase neutrino LArTPCs for $\beta$ and $\alpha$ particles with electron-equivalent energies ranging from 0.1 to 3.0 MeV. By applying $^{214}$Bi-$^{214}$Po detection algorithms to data recorded over a 46-day period, no statistically significant presence of radioactive $^{214}$Bi is detected, and a limit on the activity is placed at $<0.35$ mBq/kg at the 95% confidence level. This bulk $^{214}$Bi radiopurity limit -- the first ever reported for a liquid argon detector incorporating liquid-phase purification -- is then further discussed in relation to the targeted upper limit of 1 mBq/kg on bulk $^{222}$Rn activity for the DUNE neutrino detector.

Abstract: This paper presents multiplicity measurements of charged hadrons produced in 120 GeV/$c$ proton-carbon interactions. The measurements were made using data collected at the NA61/SHINE experiment during two different data-taking periods, with increased phase space coverage in the second configuration due to the addition of new subdetectors. Particle identification via $dE/dx$ was employed to obtain double-differential production multiplicities of $\pi^+$, $\pi^-$, $p$, $\bar{p}$, $K^+$ and $K^-$. These measurements are presented as a function of laboratory momentum in intervals of laboratory polar angle covering the range from 0 to 450 mrad. They provide crucial inputs for current and future long-baseline neutrino experiments, where they are used to estimate the initial neutrino flux.

Abstract: We present a measurement of $\eta$ production from neutrino interactions on argon with the MicroBooNE detector. The modeling of resonant neutrino interactions on argon is a critical aspect of the neutrino oscillation physics program being carried out by the DUNE and Short Baseline Neutrino programs. $\eta$ production in neutrino interactions provides a powerful new probe of resonant interactions, complementary to pion channels, and is particularly suited to the study of higher-order resonances beyond the $\Delta(1232)$. We measure a flux-integrated cross section for neutrino-induced $\eta$ production on argon of $3.22 \pm 0.84 \; \textrm{(stat.)} \pm 0.86 \; \textrm{(syst.)}$ $10^{-41}{\textrm{cm}}^{2}$/nucleon. By demonstrating the successful reconstruction of the two photons resulting from $\eta$ production, this analysis enables a novel calibration technique for electromagnetic showers in GeV accelerator neutrino experiments.

Abstract: The critical point of dense, strongly interacting matter is searched for at the CERN SPS in ${}^{40}$Ar + ${}^{45}$Sc collisions at 150A GeV/c. The dependence of second-order scaled factorial moments of proton multiplicity distribution on the number of subdivisions of transverse momentum space is measured. The intermittency analysis is performed using both transverse momentum and cumulative transverse momentum. For the first time, statistically independent data sets are used for each subdivision number. The obtained results do not indicate any statistically significant intermittency pattern. An upper limit on the fraction of critical proton pairs and the power of the correlation function is obtained based on a comparison with the Power-law Model developed for this purpose., Comment: 28 pages, 14 figures

Abstract: MicroBooNE is a neutrino experiment located in the Booster Neutrino Beamline (BNB) at Fermilab, which collected data from 2015 to 2021. MicroBooNE's liquid argon time projection chamber (LArTPC) is accompanied by a photon detection system consisting of 32 photomultiplier tubes used to measure the argon scintillation light and determine the timing of neutrino interactions. Analysis techniques combining light signals and reconstructed tracks are applied to achieve a neutrino interaction time resolution of $\mathcal{O}(1\,\text{ns})$. The result obtained allows MicroBooNE to access the ns neutrino pulse structure of the BNB for the first time. The timing resolution achieved will enable significant enhancement of cosmic background rejection for all neutrino analyses. Furthermore, the ns timing resolution opens new avenues to search for long-lived-particles such as heavy neutral leptons in MicroBooNE, as well as in future large LArTPC experiments, namely the SBN program and DUNE.

33. Control of the Bright-Dark Exciton Splitting using Lamb Shift in a 2D Semiconductor

Abstract: We have investigated the exciton fine structure in atomically thin WSe2 -based van der Waals heterostructures where the density of optical modes at the location of the semiconductor monolayer can be tuned. The energy splitting $\Delta$ between the bright and dark exciton has been measured by photoluminescence spectroscopy. We demonstrate that $\Delta$ can be tuned by a few meV, as a result of a significant Lamb shift of the optically active exciton which arises from emission and absorption of virtual photons triggered by the vacuum fluctuations of the electromagnetic field. We also measured strong variations of the bright exciton radiative linewidth, as a result of the Purcell effect. All these experimental results illustrate the strong sensitivity of the excitons to local vacuum field. We found a very good agreement with a model that demonstrates the equivalence, for our system, of a classical electrodynamical transfer matrix formalism and quantum-electrodynamical approach. The bright-dark splitting control demonstrated here should apply to any semiconductor structures.

Abstract: This paper reports measurements of two-pion Bose-Einstein (HBT) correlations in Be+Be collisions at a beam momentum of 150$A\,\mbox{GeV}/\textit{c}$ by the $\mbox{NA61/SHINE}$ experiment at the CERN SPS accelerator. The obtained momentum space correlation functions can be well described by a L\'evy distributed source model. The transverse mass dependence of the L\'evy source parameters is presented, and their possible theoretical interpretations are discussed. The results show that the L\'evy exponent $\alpha$ is approximately constant as a function of $m_{\rm{T}}$ , and far from both the Gaussian case of $\alpha = 2$ or the conjectured value at the critical endpoint, $\alpha = 0.5$. The radius scale parameter $R$ shows a slight decrease in $m_{\rm{T}}$, which can be explained as a signature of transverse flow. Finally, an approximately constant trend of the intercept parameter $\lambda$ as a function of $m_{\rm{T}}$ was observed, different from measurement results at RHIC.

Under steady anesthesia and surgical situations, the patient was started on continuous infusion of the study drug: 0.125 mg/kg/h esketamine (group E1), 0.25 mg/kg/h esketamine (group E2), and the same volume of saline (group C). The primary outcome was changes in BIS value after 15 min (T15), 30 min (T30), 45 min (T45), and 60 min (T60) of drug infusion. The secondary outcomes were 95% spectral edge frequency (SEF95), electromyogram (EMG), heart rate (HR), and mean arterial pressure (MAP) from T0 to T60. Furthermore, postoperative pain, postoperative recovery, and perioperative adverse events were evaluated.Results: Compared with group C, group E1 exhibited significant BIS elevation at T30–T60 and group E2 at T15–T60 (P < 0.001). Compared with group E1, group E2 showed a more significant BIS elevation at T15–T60 (P < 0.001). The area under the curve (AUC) of BIS and SEF95 were significantly higher in group E2 than in groups C and E1 (P < 0.05). BIS value for any of the three groups was significantly correlated with SEF95 (P < 0.001). No significant differences were observed in the AUC of EMG, HR, and MAP among the three groups. Intraoperative remifentanil consumption and postoperative NRS of pain on movement were significantly reduced in group E2 compared with groups C and E1 (P < 0.05).Conclusion: Continuous infusion of both 0.125 and 0.25 mg/kg/h of esketamine increased the BIS value during sevoflurane anesthesia, and the BIS value gradually stabilized with the prolongation of the infusion time.Keywords: esketamine, bispectral index, 95% spectral edge frequency, sevoflurane

A self-developed questionnaire was utilized to collect demographic information from elderly CHD patients, and evaluate their KAP towards self-perceived health abilities.Results: A total of 568 valid questionnaires were collected. Among the participants, the average age was 65.97± 5.50 years, and 298 (52.46%) were female, and the mean scores for knowledge, attitudes, and practices were 6.34± 2.29 (possible range: 0– 9), 35.24± 4.99 (possible range: 9– 45), and 27.79± 10.09 (possible range: 9– 45), respectively. The structural equation model demonstrated that elderly CHD patients’ knowledge directly affects attitudes and practices, with path coefficient of 0.93 (P< 0.001) and 0.39 (P=0.033), respectively. Moreover, attitudes play an intermediary role between knowledge and practice with path coefficient of 0.75 (P< 0.001). Furthermore, residence directly affects knowledge with path coefficient of 0.67 (P< 0.001), cardiac function directly affects knowledge with path coefficient of − 0.97 (P< 0.001) and history of interventional therapy directly affects practice with path coefficient of 4.23 (P< 0.001).Conclusion: Elderly CHD patients demonstrated sufficient knowledge, positive attitudes, and proactive practices towards self-perceived health abilities. However, educational programs and behavior modification are recommended, particularly for elderly with lower age and education, living in rural areas, lacking interventional therapy, obese, or taking multiple CHD medications.Keywords: knowledge, attitudes, practices, cross-dimensional study, coronary heart disease, self-perceived health abilities

Abstract: We present the first measurement of the cross section of Cabibbo-suppressed $\Lambda$ baryon production, using data collected with the MicroBooNE detector when exposed to the neutrinos from the Main Injector beam at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. The data analyzed correspond to $2.2 \times 10^{20}$ protons on target of neutrino mode running and $4.9 \times 10^{20}$ protons on target of anti-neutrino mode running. An automated selection is combined with hand scanning, with the former identifying five candidate $\Lambda$ production events when the signal was unblinded, consistent with the GENIE prediction of $5.3 \pm 1.1$ events. Several scanners were employed, selecting between three and five events, compared with a prediction from a blinded Monte Carlo simulation study of $3.7 \pm 1.0$ events. Restricting the phase space to only include $\Lambda$ baryons that decay above MicroBooNE's detection thresholds, we obtain a flux averaged cross section of $2.0^{+2.2}_{-1.7} \times 10^{-40}$ cm$^2/$Ar, where statistical and systematic uncertainties are combined.

Abstract: EOS is a technology demonstrator, designed to explore the capabilities of hybrid event detection technology, leveraging both Cherenkov and scintillation light simultaneously. With a fiducial mass of four tons, EOS is designed to operate in a high-precision regime, with sufficient size to utilize time-of-flight information for full event reconstruction, flexibility to demonstrate a range of cutting edge technologies, and simplicity of design to facilitate potential future deployment at alternative sites. Results from EOS can inform the design of future neutrino detectors for both fundamental physics and nonproliferation applications.

Abstract: We present the first measurement of differential cross sections for charged-current muon neutrino interactions on argon with one muon, two protons, and no pions in the final state. Such interactions leave the target nucleus in a two-particle two-hole state; these states are of great interest, but currently there is limited information about their production in neutrino-nucleus interactions. Detailed investigations of the production of two-particle two-hole states are vital to support upcoming experiments exploring the nature of the neutrino, and the development of the liquid-argon time-projection-chamber has made possible the isolation of such final states. The opening angle between the two protons, the angle between the total proton momentum and the muon, and the total transverse momentum of the final state system are sensitive to the underlying physics processes as embodied in a variety of models. Abstract: We present a search for eV-scale sterile neutrino oscillations in the MicroBooNE liquid argon detector, simultaneously considering all possible appearance and disappearance effects within the $3+1$ active-to-sterile neutrino oscillation framework. We analyze the neutrino candidate events for the recent measurements of charged-current $\nu_e$ and $\nu_{\mu}$ interactions in the MicroBooNE detector, using data corresponding to an exposure of 6.37$\times$10$^{20}$ protons on target from the Fermilab booster neutrino beam. We observe no evidence of light sterile neutrino oscillations and derive exclusion contours at the $95\%$ confidence level in the plane of the mass-squared splitting $\Delta m^2_{41}$ and the sterile neutrino mixing angles $\theta_{\mu e}$ and $\theta_{ee}$, excluding part of the parameter space allowed by experimental anomalies. Cancellation of $\nu_e$ appearance and $\nu_e$ disappearance effects due to the full $3+1$ treatment of the analysis leads to a degeneracy when determining the oscillation parameters, which is discussed in this paper and will be addressed by future analyses., Comment: 9 pages, 4 figures; supplemental: 6 pages, 8 figures

Abstract: In this letter we present the first measurements of an exclusive electron neutrino cross section with the MicroBooNE experiment using data from the Booster Neutrino Beamline at Fermilab. These measurements are made for a selection of charged-current electron neutrinos without final-state pions. Differential cross sections are extracted in energy and angle with respect to the beam for the electron and the leading proton. The differential cross section as a function of proton energy is measured using events with protons both above and below the visibility threshold. This is done by including a separate selection of electron neutrino events without reconstructed proton candidates in addition to those with proton candidates. Results are compared to the predictions from several modern generators, and we find the data agrees well with these models. The data shows best agreement, as quantified by $p$-value, with the generators that predict a lower overall cross section, such as GENIE v3 and NuWro.

Abstract: We investigate the diffusion process of negatively charged excitons (trions) in WSe2 transition metal dichalcogenide monolayer. We measure time-resolved photoluminescence spatial profiles of these excitonic complexes which exhibit a non-linear diffusion process with an effective negative diffusion behavior. Specifically, we examine the dynamics of the two negatively charged bright excitons (intervalley and intravalley trion) as well as the dark trion. The time evolution allows us to identify the interplay of different excitonic species: the trionic species appear after the neutral excitonic ones, consistent with a bimolecular formation mechanism. Using the experimental observations, we propose a phenomenological model suggesting the coexistence of two populations: a first one exhibiting a fast and efficient diffusion mechanism and a second one with a slower dynamics and a less efficient diffusion process. These two contributions could be attributed to hot and cold trion populations.

Abstract: We present a search for long-lived Higgs portal scalars (HPS) and heavy neutral leptons (HNL) decaying in the MicroBooNE liquid-argon time projection chamber. The measurement is performed using data collected synchronously with the NuMI neutrino beam from Fermilab's Main Injector with a total exposure corresponding to $7.01 \times 10^{20}$ protons on target. We set upper limits at the $90\%$ confidence level on the mixing parameter $\lvert U_{\mu 4}\rvert^2$ ranging from $\lvert U_{\mu 4}\rvert^2<12.9\times 10^{-8}$ for Majorana HNLs with a mass of $m_{\rm HNL}=246$ MeV to $\lvert U_{\mu 4}\rvert^2<0.92 \times 10^{-8}$ for $m_{\rm HNL}=385$ MeV, assuming $\lvert U_{e 4}\rvert^2 = \lvert U_{\tau 4}\rvert^2 = 0$ and HNL decays into $\mu^\pm\pi^\mp$ pairs. These limits on $\lvert U_{\mu 4}\rvert^2$ represent an order of magnitude improvement in sensitivity compared to the previous MicroBooNE result. We also constrain the scalar-Higgs mixing angle $\theta$ by searching for HPS decays into $\mu^+\mu^-$ final states, excluding a contour in the parameter space with lower bounds of $\theta^2<31.3 \times 10^{-9}$ for $m_{\rm HPS}=212$ GeV and $\theta^2<1.09 \times 10^{-9}$ for $m_{\rm HPS}=275$ GeV. The differences of biochemical indicators between the two groups were compared. The link between SUA/Cr and other parameters was checked through Spearman correlation analysis. Differences in the incidence rate of NAFLD between SUA/Cr and TG 3 tertile subgroups were tested by chi-squared. To explore the independent influence of SUA/Cr and TG on NAFLD, logistic regression was performed. The predictive value of SUA/Cr and SUA/Cr combined with BMI for NAFLD was analyzed using ROC curves. In addition, to confirm whether TG has a mediating effect on the link of SUA/Cr and NAFLD, we conducted a mediating analysis.Results: NAFLD group had higher SUA/Cr values than individuals without NAFLD (P < 0.01). SUA/Cr was linked with TC and TG (r = 0.081, 0.215 respectively). NAFLD prevalence increased progressively from quartile 1 to quartile 3 of SUA/Cr (44% vs 57% vs 62%). Prevalence of NAFLD increased from quartile 1 to quartile 3 of TG (35.8% vs 58.7% vs 69.9%). Analysis of the logistic regression revealed that SUA/Cr and TG were statistically linked with NAFLD. The ROC curve pointed out that the area under the curve (AUC), sensitivity and specificity of SUA/Cr were 0.59, 0.629 and 0.522, respectively. The AUC, sensitivity and specificity for SUA/Cr combined with BMI were 0.719, 0.644 and 0.677, separately. The mediation analysis showed a statistically direct effect of SUA/Cr on NAFLD (β=0.148, 95% CI: 0.0393, 0.2585). The function of SUA/Cr on NAFLD partially mediated by TG (β=0.1571, 95% CI: 0.0704, 0.2869).Conclusion: SUA/Cr was significantly associated with NAFLD in non-obese T2DM patients, and TG partially mediated this association. Two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses were used to detect the causal role of inflammatory factors in DN risk.Methods: Inflammatory factor GWAS summary data were collected from a meta-analysis including 8,293 Finnish participants, and DN information was extracted from a GWAS of 213,746 individuals from FinnGen. The MR Pleiotropy Residual Sum and Outlier (MR-PRESSO) outlier test was used for the removal of horizontal pleiotropic outliers. Multivariable MR analysis was also used to adjust for pleiotropy.Results: IFN-γ [ORIVW: 1.33; 95% CI: 1.09– 1.63; p=0.005] and SCF [ORIVW: 1.25, 1.02– 1.52; p = 0.027] were associated with an increased risk of DN. MIP1b [ORIVW: 0.92; 95% CI: 0.85– 0.98; p = 0.022] and IL-16 [ORIVW: 0.89, 0.81– 0.99; p = 0.043] showed negative associations with the risk of DN. We validated our MR results with MR-PRESSO analyses. Significant horizontal pleiotropy was not found. Moreover, in the multivariable MR analysis, the associations between cytokines and DN risk remained.Conclusion: Our MR results based on genetic data contribute to a better understanding of the pathogenesis of DN and provide evidence for a causal effect of inflammatory factors on DN. Among these, 58 patients successfully completed the 20-week PR program, with exercise tolerance assessed through the measurement of six-minute walk distance (6MWD), and DE evaluated by ultrasonography. The responder to PR in terms of exercise ability was defined as a patient who showed an increase of > 30m in 6MWD. The cutoff value for predicting PR response based on DE was determined using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves.Results: Following the PR program, significant improvements were observed in mMRC, 6MWD, DE during deep breathing, and diaphragm thickness fraction (DTF). Of the participants, 33 patients (57%) were classified as responders, while 25 patients (43%) were considered non-responders. Baseline values of FEV1% predicted, 6MWD, DE during deep breathing, DTF, and PaO2 exhibited a significant elevation in responders as compared to non-responders. The changes of 6MWD were positively associated with the baseline values of DTF and DE during deep breathing, FEV1% predicted and PaO2, while negatively correlated with baseline value of mMRC. The predictive performance in terms of the area under the ROC curve for determining responder’s DTF was found to be 0.769, accompanied by a sensitivity of 85% and specificity of 68%, using a cutoff value at 17.26%. Moreover, it was observed that DE during deep breathing could predict the area under the ROC curve for responders to be 0.753, with a sensitivity of 91% and specificity of 56% at a cutoff value of 3.61cm.Conclusion: Diaphragm excursion serves as a valuable predictor for determining the enhancement of exercise tolerance following PR in patients with COPD-OSA overlap syndrome.Trial Registration: ChiCTR1800020257, www.chictr.org.cn/index.aspx.Keywords: pulmonary rehabilitation, COPD-OSA overlap syndrome, diaphragm excursion, diaphragm thickness fraction, six-minute walk distance
