The preparation of these compounds with poly(4-vinylpyridine) and polystyrene has been carried out and the results of the wide-angle X-ray diffraction analysis have demonstrated distorted octahedral conformation on the primary coordination sphere of the metal.

Research has been conducted on the [ReO(N (sub)2 ppme)X] where ppme= 2,5-diazo-N,N'-dimethylhexyl-1,6-bis(phenylphosphinate, X= Br (sub)0.3 Cl (sub)0.7. The synthesis of this complex has been carried out via a substitution reaction and its structural characterization is presented.

The synthesis of different generations of the adamantane-terminated Frechet-type dendrimers consisting of the dendritic wedge ligands around the rhenium core has been carried out in organic solvents via the ReO(PPh (sub)3) (sub)2 Cl (sub)3 reaction and the results are discussed.
