As a result derived of the analysis of the most powerful seismic events that have taken place in Santiago de Cuba, it was established that in case of moderate or very intensive events, soils could bring about secondary physical geological processes. Based on the results of the previous researches of seismic micro zoning carried out from 1984 up to 1995, it was developed a new investigation including the city of Santiago de Cuba and its surrounding regions. As a result it was found out that the zones with the highest probability of having landslides, downfalls and liquefaction are those located around the bay, the basin of San Juan river, the basin of ancient Yarayó and Trocha rivers, the zones near Altamira, Versalles, Chicharrones and the northern part of the José Martí District.
