Introduction: the innovations that occur at the technological level have caused various transformations in which the evolution of scientific work has been creating various areas of knowledge that address the problems of human beings from different angles. In the organizational field, the studies have been highlighted in what concerns innovation of products and services without detracting from the arguments in favor of knowing the real needs of the consumer, as mental processes that significantly support the various behaviors of this. Methodology: Narrative review of the literature on the neuroconsumer, to reveal the sense of the mental patterns of this one, based diachronically on the neuroscientific knowledge. A scientific mapping of documents on the neuroconsumer, brain dynamics, and emotions, period 2017- 2022 in high impact indexed journals: Scopus and Web of Science, was performed. The referenced structurally describes the bibliography, finding thematic axes. Results: The review evidences the link between marketing that is part of neuroeconomics and neuroscience as a novel vision that addresses the analysis of consumer behavior in a deeper way in the purchase decision process. Discussion and Conclusions: Two clusters were identified from the networked understanding: consumer behavior and emotions created in the brain. The interpretation of the findings highlighted the relevance of brain dynamics to the "hidden psychological traps" in making a decision and in the choice of a product or service. Abstract Modern society is aware of the importance of energy, as a fundamental resource for evolution, quality of life and sustainability. It thus dedicates important efforts to take advantage of existing energy sources. Countries have different and unique energy performances depending on the combination of resources, policies, and structures created to exploit them. Some are successful in their attempt to optimize their energy resources while others are not. This is the case of Venezuela, which faces a contradictory energy performance. Despite its substantial available renewable and non-renewable energy resources, it presents a severe energy crisis. This crisis manifests itself in frequent and extended energy blackouts and electricity services alterations, which affect all society. With the aim to propose some solutions, the authors make an attempt to identify the origin of the Venezuelan energy crisis, unexplainable in a country which two decades ago was an indisputable world energy leader. The authors evaluate the relationship among energy and sustainability, the renewable potential existing in Venezuela, as well as some new data and key insights regarding its energy framework. Special reference is made to infrastructure energy projects in Venezuela. The discussion leads to the identification of the structural problems that cause such a crisis and include some recommendations. The authors propose a thorough study of this case in order to consider it as an international reference and to avoid the repetition of similar cases in the future. Finally, an entirely new orientation of the Venezuelan energy framework and the strategies that include the revision of the current energy policies and the management of this sector are proposed. Such proposals are presented to help Venezuela in its transition to a new energy stage in which renewable energy, knowledge and sustainable criteria become the fundamental resources to address the country on its path to sustainability. This article presents the development of biomass for electricity generation in Chile within the country's complex energy framework which is still unable to strengthen and encourage renewable energy development and relies heavily on fossil fuels, increasing the latent risk of suffering an energy crisis in the medium term, due to the slow incorporation of new energy power plants to meet the growing energy demand forecast. This article provides a background of the power generation status in Chile, along with an analysis of the country's electricity market and its regulations, focusing on non-conventional renewable energy (NCRE), ending with the description of the current development status of biomass for electricity generation in its three physical states, its features, applications, conversion processes, advantages and disadvantages. Chile presents a low proportion of renewable energy technologies within its energy mix, in which solid and gaseous biofuels are mainly used for low power energy generation, through cogeneration and biogas extraction and use, while liquid biofuels are under research through the development of pilot plants managed by several entities for industrial production and the transportation industry. Mexico is undertaking a complete transformation of its energy sector. In December 2013, the Mexican Congress approved a series of constitutional amendments that intended to open the hydrocarbons and power sectors to private and foreign investment for the first time since the 1950s through profit- and production-sharing contracts and through new licenses for exploration and production. This energy reform was boosted by the decline in oil and gas exploration and production over the past 10 years, and the rise of electricity prices for both industrial and domestic consumers. Even though it is still soon to analyse the impact that the energy reform is having on Mexico׳s energy sector, this reform is likely to have a profound impact on long-term oil and gas production in Mexico, as well as on its power sector. In this sense, in relation with the changes that the Mexican energy reform entails both in the hydrocarbons and power sector, two competing visions of advocates and opponents have arisen since its approval. Participatory action research has been used by Latin American social sciences researchers in order to deal with social and community problems to encourage social changes. Participatory action research experiences with industrial workers have been less visible. This paper focuses on workers’ research experience at state-owned Venezuelan metallurgical industries. The methodological approach is based on workers’ educational needs with participation in their own emancipation process. Workers and researchers share experiences, knowledge, and set the basis for increased democracy at industry through workshops, meetings, and other educational activities. These experiences allowed the emergence of an industrial participatory action research project that is being deepened through participatory appraisal and education research programs with readings, “generating questions,” working roundtables, consensus and dissent, experience systematization, and a living language of participation to strengthen local and national education-research network with people, especially workers, increasing their voice through knowledge democracy and technology democracy which implies industrial democracy too. Background: Intelligent healthcare (IH) is proposed with the fast application of Internet of Things technology in the healthcare area in recent years. It is considered as an expansion of e-health and telemedicine. As the largest developing country, China is investing large amounts of resources to push forward the development of IH. It is one of the centerpieces of the country's New Healthcare Reform, and great expectation is placed on it to help solve the conflict between limited healthcare resources and the large patient population. Materials and Methods: Essential policies, milestones, standards, and specifications from the Chinese government since the 1990s were reviewed to show the brief development history of IH in China. Some typical cases and products have been analyzed to present the current situation. The main problems and future development directions have been summarized. Conclusions: The IH industry in China has great potential and is growing very fast, but a lot of challenges also exist. In order to bring to light and debate a critical risk, this study seeks to evaluate the impact of certain aptitudinal and behavioral factors of End User Representatives (EUR) on the success of Information Systems (IS) during their development and implementation. Likewise, it intends to assess the possible relationship between EURs and the usual deviations found in these processes. The combination of a statistical method with a hermeneutic/dialectic analysis permitted achieving the objectives through studying a macro project of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) type. This study included all the basic enterprises that comprise the public Venezuelan aluminum sector, taking a nonrandom convenience sample from the population of IS developers, EUR leaders and IS executives. The "EUR knowledge" variable showed the highest impact and it could be confirmed that the origins of some serious IS rejections by end users point to the EUR themselves. The organizations are developed in challenging and competitive environments, created by demands of societies, and marked by the global financial crisis that extends even to the Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs), which are aimed at meeting the needs of the environment and at strengthening the flow of information and collaboration with the society. In this context, an exploratory and descriptive investigation, which is considered as a firs t attempt to develop and empirically test the existing theoretical aspects of the subject arises. The objective is to determine the simultaneous influences exerted by intangible resources on strategic management in IHEs. These relationships were assessed by means of an analysis of covariance, which required the construction and validation of an appropriate system of measurement for each of the variables understudy. Such analysis showed, as a result, that only two of the four hypotheses are significant, demonstrating that the intangible resources, namely Knowledge Management and Organizational Reputation, are those that directly affect strategic management processes, undertaken by the IHEs. From these findings, one has empirical references on the Management of Intangible Resources, thus highlighting the fact that the strategic management in IHEs can be substantially improved by means of the implementation of processes that involve the proper management of intangible assets that they have. Abstract: The recognition of the relevance of energy, especially of the renewable energies generated by the sun, water, wind, tides, modern biomass or thermal is growing significantly in the global society based on the possibility it has to improve societies′ quality of life, to support poverty reduction and sustainable development. Renewable energy, and mainly the energy generated by large hydropower generation projects that supply most of the renewable energy consumed by developing countries, requires many technical, legal, financial and social complex processes sustained by innovations and valuable knowledge. Besides these efforts, renewable energy requires a solid infrastructure to generate and distribute the energy resources needed to solve the basic needs of society. This demands a proper construction performance to deliver the energy projects planned according to specifications and respecting environmental and social concerns, which implies the observance of sustainable construction guidelines. But construction projects are complex and demanding and frequently face time and cost overruns that may cause negative impacts on the initial planning and thus on society. The renewable energy issue and the large renewable energy power generation and distribution projects are particularly significant for developing countries and for Latin America in particular, as this region concentrates an important hydropower potential and installed capacity. Using as references the performance of Venezuelan large hydropower generation projects and the Guri dam construction, this research evaluates the tight relationship existing between sustainable construction and knowledge management and their impact to achieve sustainability goals. The knowledge management processes are proposed as a basic strategy to allow learning from successes and failures obtained in previous projects and transform the enhancement opportunites into actions to improve the performance of the renewable energy power generation and distribution projects. This article has been developed to assess the economic feasibility of a rooftop photovoltaic installation of industrial self-consumption. Numerical models that enable an interested person to obtain the main expected parameters will be generated, with those models being the article's main contribution to the field. To do this, a calculation methodology will be developed through which the reader, knowing the location of the facility and dimensions of the roof, will be able to calculate the maximum installable power, the main parameters related to production, the cost of the installation, and the LCOE of the plant. The use of actual costs will be facilitated in case they are known. Still, it will remain possible to apply the major equipment costs (modules, inverter, and structure) considered throughout the article. This developed calculation methodology will also allow a quick comparison of the forecasts of production, CAPEX, and LCOE of plants designed with different inclinations and different types of modules. Consequently, it will be especially useful in decision-making before developing the plant's basic engineering. Moreover, the calculations used for modeling the LCOE will be analyzed in depth. This analysis will allow evaluating how the different technical variables affect the profitability of a photovoltaic installation, such as the selected tilt, the location, the module's technology, or the available area. Abstract: A comprehensive assessment of the liquidity development in the Iberian power futures market managed by OMIP (“Operador do Mercado Ibérico de Energia, Pólo Português”) in its first 4years of existence is performed. This market started on July 2006. A regression model tracking the evolution of the traded volumes in the continuous market is built as a function of 12 potential liquidity drivers. The only significant drivers are the traded volumes in OMIP compulsory auctions, the traded volumes in the “Over The Counter” (OTC) market, and the OTC cleared volumes in OMIP clearing house (OMIClear). Furthermore, the enrollment of financial members shows strong correlation with the traded volumes in the continuous market. OMIP liquidity is still far from the levels reached by the most mature European markets (Nord Pool and EEX). The market operator and its clearing house could develop efficient marketing actions to attract new entrants active in the spot market (energy intensive industries, suppliers, and small producers) as well as volumes from the opaque OTC market, and to improve the performance of existing illiquid products. An active dialogue with all the stakeholders (market participants, spot market operator, and supervisory authorities) will help to implement such actions. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

In this research, four electricity generation projects from biogas are analyzed. The present value of public aid granted by the German Administration in the four projects is calculated by applying real options theory. It is determined that the public aids are greater for the plants of 500 kW of installed capacity, resulting in values of 33.418 euros per megawatt-hour in biogas plants from landfills and 22.334 euros per megawatt-hour in biogas plants from the treatment of sewage. The public aid for the two 5 MW biogas plants from landfills and biogas from wastewater treatment turned out to be equal with a value of 17.222 euros per megawatt-hour. This study has relied on a new methodology to calculate the value of government incentives for electricity generation projects from biogas in Germany, applying real options. It shows the higher cost for the German Administration of biogas plants with lower installed capacity (500 kW), compared to biogas plants with higher installed capacity (5 MW), as a result of granted governmental incentives for electricity generation. • Valuation of biogas projects in Germany with Real Options theory. • Use of implicit real options on the German regulatory frameworks. • Use of Binomial and Monte Carlo methods to value the public aids. • Calculation of real options impact on projects' NPV. • Analysis of the impact of public incentives. For the 2 billion people who lack access to electricity, renewable off-grid decentralized projects can be a viable solution. A survey by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid suggests that renewable energy funds are regarded as the most suitable financial instrument, although innovation in the finance of renewable energy sources is also of enormous importance. Regardless of the rapid development of national gas centers around the world, oil price indexation remains the prevailing pricing process in Continental Europe and the Far East. The instance of Spain is a genuine case where gas supply conditions may, to some extent, clarify the slower pace of execution of a traded gas hub in the nation. This article seeks to explain the persistence of oil-indexed pricing mechanisms, a price model that differs oddly from that of other major commodities, the price of which is normally discovered on the market. In order to do that, we examine time-varying volatility to find that since 2013 until 2016, just about 33% of gradual volatility clustering rooted within oil Brent prices is reflected in Spanish gas prices. In this sense, our research provides quantitative tools to better understand that market-based approaches such as spot and medium-term supply alternatives seem to be a key driver for success in transforming gas markets. Regular updates on the size of the effects observed should facilitate an exact appraisal of the level of progression of national gas liberalization processes and enhance gas markets transparency, these issues of extraordinary importance for both policymakers and gas market agents. Rye flour bread is a relatively new development. This product is a functional food rich in flavonoids, mucilage, pentosans, vitamins and minerals. Additionally, rye-based products have previously shown to improve acute postprandial appetite ratings, appear to lower glucose and insulin response and decrease voluntary food intake at a subsequent meal. Compared to whole white bread, it prevents inflammation of both, gastrointestinal and respiratory mucosa, being an excellent nutritional option feasible to be included in our daily diet. The aim of this research was to develop a functional bread from rye flour and stevia with three formulations: 50, 60 and 80% of rye flour. The microbiological, physicochemical and sensory assessments were made, evidencing that 50/50 formula was the best accepted by the evaluators. According to NTC 1363 norm the product was classified as a soft bread with fiber, since fiber was (35.8%) and the moisture obtained was (35.65%). In microbiological analysis, the results showed that it is a suitable product for human consumption and taste, texture and presentation analysis, this product was well-rated by the consumers, concluding that, is suitable to be merchandise as an alternative to wheat bread in daily human standard meals.
