Introducción: Los patrones antropométricos y los componentes de la condición física, incluyendo la resistencia cardiovascular, la fuerza muscular, la flexibilidad y la composición corporal, pueden tener un impacto significativo en la vida de un niño desde una edad temprana. Es importante que los padres, educadores y otros adultos responsables fomenten la actividad física y una dieta saludable para garantizar un desarrollo óptimo de la salud en la niñez y asi poder crecer sanamente, generando un estilo de vida sano desde la infancia, logrando evitar enfermedades que puedan afectar el bienestar de una vida sana. Objetivo: Identificar los patrones antropométricos, capacidad de fuerza, velocidad y agilidad en niños y niñas de primero de primaria del IED Agustín Fernández. Métodos: El estudio cuantitativo se llevó a cabo sobre una muestra de 31 estudiantes escolares de primero de primaria del Agustín Fernández, un total de 16 niños y 15 niñas. Se registraron datos de patrones antropométricos y componentes de la condición física en niños. Los estudiantes debían estar activos en el Colegio Agustín Fernández, con una edad de 6 a 7 años, de sexo femenino y masculino. Los criterios de exclusión fueron que los niños y niñas, presentaron alguna lesión como: golpes o caídas, con un enfoque cuantitativo, un tipo de estudio transversal y un alcance descriptivo. Para esta investigación se utilizaron los siguientes instrumentos: Tanita BF -689, Tallímetro, Dinamómetro, Cinta métrica y la batería Alpha- Fitness. Resultados: La edad promedio entre niños y niñas fue +/- 6.48, el peso y talla fueron de +/- 21.0 kg y +/-114.2 cm. En cuanto al índice de masa corporal (IMC) se encontró un promedio de +/-16.00 kg/m2 presentando un índice normal, el perímetro abdominal en los niños y niñas fue de +/-53.3 cm. Por otro lado, en las capacidades físicas se encontró una fuerza prensil en la mano derecha de +/-7.3 kg y en la mano izquierda de +/-6.8 kg en los niños y niñas, en la capacidad de velocidad-agilidad se obtuvo un resultado de +/-18.5 s y por último en la capacidad de miembros inferiores fue de +/-98.2 cm en niños y niñas. Conclusiones: La investigación sobre patrones antropométricos y condición física en niños de primer grado del colegio Agustín Fernández muestra la importancia de monitorear regularmente la salud física de los niños en edad escolar. Introduction: Anthropometric patterns and components of physical fitness, including cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and body composition, can have a significant impact on a child's life from an early age. It is important for parents, educators and other responsible adults to encourage physical activity and a healthy diet to ensure optimal health development in childhood in order to grow up healthy, generating a healthy lifestyle from infancy, avoiding diseases that can affect the well-being of a healthy life. Objective: To identify the anthropometric patterns, strength, speed and agility capacity in boys and girls in the first grade of primary school at IED Agustín Fernández. Methods: The quantitative study was carried out on a sample of 31 first grade students of Agustín Fernández, a total of 16 boys and 15 girls. Data on anthropometric patterns and components of physical fitness in children were recorded. The students had to be active at the Agustín Fernández School, aged 6 to 7 years, male and female. The exclusion criteria were that the boys and girls, presented some injury such as: blows or falls, with a quantitative approach, a cross-sectional type of study and a descriptive scope. The following instruments were used for this research: Tanita BF -689, Tallimeter, Dynamometer, Tape measure and the Alpha- Fitness battery. Results: The average age between boys and girls was +/- 6.48, weight and height were +/- 21.0 kg and +/-114.2 cm. Regarding the body mass index (BMI) an average of +/-16.00 kg/m2 was found, presenting a normal index, the abdominal perimeter in boys and girls was +/-53.3 cm. On the other hand, in the physical capacities we found a prehensile strength in the right hand of +/-7.3 kg and in the left hand of +/-6.8 kg in boys and girls, in the speed-agility capacity a result of +/-18.5 s was obtained and finally in the capacity of lower limbs it was +/-98.2 cm in boys and girls. Conclusions: The research on anthropometric patterns and physical condition in first grade children of the Agustin Fernandez school shows the importance of regularly monitoring the physical health of school-age children. In the 1980s and 1990s, Southeast Asia became a world center for the establishment of national parks designed to foster the new conservation objectives of "collaborative management" and "ecotourism" development. Yet, by the start of the twenty-first century, these national parks programs had become notorious for their failure to achieve their management goals. International conservation organizations continued to sponsor park programs that excluded villagers from accessing the resources of the parks; meanwhile, the destruction of the parks' flora and fauna increased due to extensive logging and other forms of large-scale exploitation. Through an examination of management plans, government documents, the writings of conservationists, and reports from local journals and newspapers, this dissertation will put the recent history of national park development in Southeast Asia into a longer-term historical context of international conservation, colonial initiatives, and nation-state building. This dissertation will present case studies of parks in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam in order to illustrate specific examples of the conflicts that were manifested in the process of the implementation of national parks in the region. Through an analysis of the findings of the case studies, the research will identify common defining conflicts facing national parks in contemporary Southeast Asia. Case studies from Indonesia and Vietnam reveal that the failure of these nations' parks to achieve their management objectives was not the result of international NGOs and the imposition of their exclusionary conservation projects, but a consequence of increasing political decentralization, and the ongoing struggles between regional and national leaders over the control of natural resources. The history of Malaysia's national park, however, reveals that through a process of debate and contestation, it was possible to design an enduring national park program that reconciled the interests of local, national, and international groups. Ultimately, this dissertation suggests that the conception of a "national park" as a fixed archetype to be applied globally has been deficient. A new conception of the "national park" as an adaptable model designed to address specific and unique cultural and social contexts is essential for the future success of national parks programs in Southeast Asia.

The immortalized human ReNcell VM cell line represents a reproducible and easy-to-propagate cell culture system for studying the differentiation of neural progenitors. To better characterize the starting line and its subsequent differentiation, we assessed protein and phospho-protein levels and cell morphology over a 15-day period during which ReNcell progenitors differentiated into neurons, astrocytes and oligodendrocytes. Five of the resulting datasets measured protein levels or states of phosphorylation based on tandem-mass-tag (TMT) mass spectrometry and four datasets characterized cellular phenotypes using high-content microscopy. Proteomic analysis revealed reproducible changes in pathways responsible for cytoskeletal rearrangement, cell phase transitions, neuronal migration, glial differentiation, neurotrophic signalling and extracellular matrix regulation. Proteomic and imaging data revealed accelerated differentiation in cells treated with the poly-selective CDK and GSK3 inhibitor kenpaullone or the HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor mevastatin, both of which have previously been reported to promote neural differentiation. These data provide in-depth information on the ReNcell progenitor state and on neural differentiation in the presence and absence of drugs, setting the stage for functional studies.

In the 1990s, conflicts between conservationists and the local population over access to the terrestrial and marine resources of Komodo National Park were aggravated by the breakdown of the Indonesian economy and the devolution of the national park’s administration to the local regency government. As Komodo continues to evolve as a world-renowned attraction, its future management and the distribution of its economic benefits will be contested by a expanding range of stakeholders, including regional leaders, the Indonesian federal government, international conservation organizations, tourism entrepreneurs, local fisherman, and the residents in the park.
