É notório o crescimento de gatos dentro dos lares, sendo a categoria deanimais de companhia com maior crescimento mundial. Em contrapartida,também houve aumento do índice de abandono, maus tratos e a adoção degatos ainda é menor quando comparados aos cães. Dentre os motivos doabandono, são apontados comportamentos inatos dos gatos, mas julgadosinapropriados pelos tutores. Problemas de comportamento e abandono atingema saúde pública. Por outro lado, a antropomorfização de gatos também é umproblema, já que leva a inúmeras consequências comprometedoras do bemestar felino, resultando em doenças crônicas e, por consequência, reduzindo alongevidade do animal. Ademais, animais estressados ou com dores temcomportamentos julgados como inapropriados que levam ao abandono. Oobjetivo da pesquisa é levantar a literatura existente sobre fisiologia do estressee determinação da dor em gatos, visando orientar veterinários e tutores emidentificar rapidamente o sofrimento animal, contribuindo melhorar o bem-estaranimal.

O presente trabalho tem como tema a nova tese da prescrição intercorrente nas execuções fiscais e objetiva analisar o entendimento firmado pelo Superior Tribunal de Justiça (STJ), além de verificar a aplicabilidade no nosso ordenamento jurídico e como vem sendo adotado no estado de Santa Catarina. Utiliza-se o método dedutivo e narrativo exploratório, usando como fonte principal o Recurso Especial 1.340.553 e sua abordagem bibliográfica. O trabalho apurou a relevância e impactos nas execuções fiscais, além de trazer as teses adotadas para a configuração da prescrição intercorrente. Dentre elas, a principal é a contagem automática do prazo de suspensão e prescrição após a negativa de bens ou de citação. A pesquisa buscou discorrer sobre a história e princípios da execução fiscal para entender sua formação, também trouxe de forma simples as causas interruptivas e suspensivas da exigibilidade do crédito tributário, que irão refletir na prescrição intercorrente, discorrendo sobre a suspensão administrativa pela ausência de bens ou pela não localização do executado. Após esta abordagem, visou sobre matéria prescricional no âmbito tributário, a qual nasce da inércia do Fisco. Ainda, traz de forma minuciosa as teses do entendimento do STJ para melhor compreensão, além de abordar o entendimento do tribunal catarinense acerca da aplicação do entendimento em primeira instância e sua manutenção em sede de recurso. Por fim, traz as consequências que o reconhecimento da prescrição intercorrente traz tanto para as partes quanto para o judiciário e conclui que o julgado mudou o entendimento acerca da prescrição intercorrente nas Execuções Fiscais. ABSTRACT The present work has as its theme the new thesis of intercurrent prescription in tax executions and aims to analyze the understanding signed by the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), in addition to verifying its applicability in our legal system and how it has been adopted in the state of Santa Catarina. Using the deductive and exploratory narrative method, using Special Resource 1,340,553 as the main source and its bibliographic approach. The work ascertained the relevance and impacts on tax executions, in addition to bringing the theses adopted for the configuration of the intercurrent prescription. Among them, the main one is the automatic counting of the suspension and prescription period after the denial of goods or service of process. Purpose – This research aimed to study the relationship between entrepreneurial skills and MSMEs (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises) performance. Design/methodology/approach – A quantitative and descriptive research was conducted, operationalized through a survey with 47 MSMEs entrepreneurs. Findings – (1) Most responding entrepreneurs seek opportunities, take calculated risks, and often demand quality and efficiency in their activities within the company. It can also be noted that they always pointed to being persistent, committed and seeking information. They also demonstrated that they often set goals, plan and monitor, maintain contact with their networks, are independent and self-confident; (2) the majority (60.4%) are in high sales growth, 14.6% found to be very profitable and 68.7% have medium to high profitability, 68.8% of them have good market share - so, companies show a positive perception of performance; (3) it was possible to verify that there is a relationship between entrepreneurial skills and the performance of MSMEs. Research implications – even young adults are a representation of future main leaders there is no significant difference between their entrepreneurial skills with other MSMEs owners. Moreover, in the set power, in our study just Persuasion and Network showed relation with performance, even in previous study independence and self-confidence had a relationship with performance. Originality/value: It was possible to conclude that the systematic planning and monitoring and the persuasion and network of contacts are the decisive entrepreneurial characteristics in the performance of the MSMEs.

Essa reflexão é embasada na contribuição da disciplina de Sociologia, para a formação cidadã dos alunos do ensino médio na Coordenadoria Regional de Educação de Canoinhas/SC, pela ótica dos professores. Pode-se destacar, que a partir, da inserção da Sociologia no currículo escolar, seu vies está atrelado à formação cidadã. Desse modo, buscou-se pesquisar a contribuiçao do conhecimento sociológico, na formação cidadã, levando à formulação do seguinte problema de pesquisa: em que medida as aulas de Sociologia, das escolas da Coordenadoria Regional da Educação de Canoinhas/SC, estão colaborando com a formação cidadã de seus alunos, do ponto de vista dos professores? Em relação à metodologia, optou-se pela pesquisa qualitativa, com a pesquisa de campo e aplicação de questionários abertos aos professores da disciplina de Sociologia das 19 escolas estaduais da Coordenadoria Regional da Educação de Canoinhas. Conclui-se que as aulas de Sociologia da Coordenadoria Regional de Educação de Canoinhas/SC estão colaborando com a formação cidadã, destacando as potencialidades no conhecimento sociológico. Dentre as potencialidades pode-se apresentar: a formação do pensamento crítico, compreensão dos direitos e deveres, entendimento da sociedade e formação cidadã. As aulas de Sociologia possuem papel determinante na formação dos alunos, especialmente com vistas à educação para a cidadania. Palavras-chave: Potencialidades. Formação cidadã. Ensino de Sociologia. ABSTRACT: This reflection is based on the contribution of the discipline of Sociology, for the citizen education of high school students in the Regional Education Coordination of Canoinhas / SC, from the perspective of the teachers. It can be highlighted that, from the insertion of Sociology in the school curriculum, its bias is linked to citizen formation. In this way, we sought to research the contribution of sociological knowledge in citizen education, leading to the formulation of the following research problem: to what extent the Sociology classes, from the schools of the Regional Coordination of Education in Canoinhas / SC, are collaborating with the citizen education of their students, from the teachers' point of view ?. Regarding the methodology, qualitative research was chosen, with field research and application of questionnaires open to teachers of the discipline of Sociology of the 19 state schools of the Regional Coordination of Education of Canoinhas. It is concluded that the Sociology classes of the Regional Education Coordination of Canoinhas / SC are collaborating with the citizen formation, highlighting the potential in sociological knowledge. Among the potentialities can be presented: the formation of critical thinking, understanding of rights and duties, understanding of society and citizen formation. Introduction / Objective: Based on the assumption that pain can be perceived as punishment (pain = penalty), and that this concept of guilt is present in the Judeo-Christian civilization, we decided to review the literature on relevant religious and guilt - which is also a source of suffering - in the management of chronic pain. Methodology. Three searches were carried out that included all articles listed until July 2021 within the PUBMED database. MeshTerm and Boolean operators were used in the following combinations: chronic pain AND religion AND guilt NOT yoga NOT meditation; Chronic pain AND religion NOT yoga NOT meditation; chronic pain AND guilt. Results. Studies carried out in different countries point to the relevance of the chronic relationship of chronic pain to the patient, interfering in a positive way in their evolution, without, however, investigating their relationship with feelings of guilt. Conclusions. The literature is rich in articles on the influence of religiosity in coping with pain, but mentions of feelings of guilt are limited to a single article. Introducción / Objetivo: Partiendo del supuesto de que el dolor puede percibirse como un castigo (dolor = pena), y que este concepto de culpa está presente en la civilización judeocristiana, decidimos revisar la literatura sobre la religión y la culpa relevantes, que es también una fuente de sufrimiento - en el manejo del dolor crónico. Metodología. Se realizaron tres búsquedas que incluyeron todos los artículos listados hasta Julho de 2021 dentro de la base de datos PUBMED. The supply chain management has been gaining popularity since 1980 but there is confusion about its meaning, because many use this concept as a replacement or even a synonym for logistics. However, its definition is much broader, because in fact its approach is the integration of business processes through suppliers of consumer products, services and information, with the aim of adding value to the customer. For enterprise management, the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is of fundamental importance to the information and data generated from the business processes to be collected, stored and consulted for decision making, which ultimately appears using Customer Relationship Management (CRM). CRM is a business strategy of disciplined, focused to create and sustain long-term profitable relationships with customers. The successful initiatives begin with CRM strategy and business philosophy to align the company’s activities around the needs of customers. The idea of CRM is against the objective of enabling critical processes needed to turn strategies into results, being an integrated management system for customer-focused, consisting of a set of procedures and processes organized and integrated into a model of business management.

O zumbido é considerado o terceiro sintoma otorrinolaringológico mais frequente na busca de ajuda médica. Sabe-se que o zumbido tem sido associado a condições psiquiátricas, principalmente depressão e ansiedade. Além disso, a dificuldade de lidar com o incômodo, interfere negativamente na qualidade de vida desses pacientes. Na prática clínica, não é incomum pacientes se referirem ao zumbido crônico como uma penitência. Uma penitência pressupõe culpa, um sintoma também relacionado à depressão. Esta revisão tem como objetivo rastrear estudos sobre o papel da culpa no psiquismo de pacientes com zumbido. Nesse sentido, realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica para analisar as possíveis correlações de depressão, ansiedade e culpa em pacientes com zumbido crônico. A revisão chama a atenção para os profissionais da saúde para a importância de compreender o psiquismo dos pacientes com zumbido e para esclarecer a percepção de sua condição como uma espécie de punição.

No desenvolvimento local/regional destaca-se o crescimento econômico, mas é importante salientar fatores sociais, ambientais, culturais e políticos que são fundamentais para o desenvolvimento contribuindo para promoção da qualidade de vida. Diante do exposto o objetivo do trabalho foi entender as percepções dos atores locais de transformação a respeito do desenvolvimento regional e empreendedorismo de União da Vitória-PR e Porto União-SC. A pesquisa se caracterizou como descritiva e de abordagem qualitativa. Os atores foram selecionados buscando-se contemplar representantes das organizações consideradas promotoras do desenvolvimento de ambas cidades: prefeitos, câmara dos dirigentes lojistas, quatro universidades locais e ainda 20 empresas. O questionário foi aplicado presencialmente nas organizações. Identificou-se os problemas de desenvolvimento que podem interferir nas organizações: a baixa renda, baixo potencial de consumo, falta de mão de obra qualificada, a limitada atividade industrial e o fato de serem duas cidades próximas, mas localizadas em estados diferentes. Os atores entendiam o empreendedorismo como sendo a abertura de novas empresas, reconheciam que seu processo é fator importante na movimentação da economia local e na geração de emprego e renda. Ainda, os atores não visualizaram articulação entre as duas cidades em ações futuras voltadas em prol do desenvolvimento local e manifestaram preocupações com o cenário da região por não visualizarem perspectivas de mudança local. Foi possível com a pesquisa compreender melhor como é visto o empreendedorismo e desenvolvimento local sob a ótica dos atores locais de transformação.

Além da função nutricional, o amido desempenha importante papel no processamento do alimentoextrusado para cães. Por outro lado, grandes modificações ocorreram nos últimos tempos no que concerne ao conhecimento do papel dos carboidratos na nutrição e saúde tanto de humanos quanto demais espécies animais. Durante muitos anos acreditou-se na completa digestão e absorção do amido no intestino delgado, no entanto, sabe-se atualmente que uma parcela do amido pode resistir à ação de enzimas digestivas sendo, portanto, denominado de amido resistente (AR). O AR pode provir tanto por interferência no processamento do amido, quanto de fontes comerciais obtidas por processo patenteado ou naturais, por exemplo, alguns vegetais que o contém em altas concentrações. Em diversas espécies de animais estudadas foram atribuídos vários benefícios fisiológicos e/ou metabólicos ao AR, tais como: a melhora na resposta glicêmica e insulinêmica; melhora no perfil lipídico; a redução no valor calórico dos alimentos; o aumento da saciedade e absorção de micronutrientes; além de agir como prebiótico considerado promotor da saúde do trato gastrintestinal. Entretanto, para a espécie canina poucos os trabalhos enfatizaram o tema. Deste modo, o foco principal desta revisão foi a compilação de estudos a fim de obter melhor entendimento dos efeitos biológicos diferenciados atribuídos ao AR e seu potencial como componente nas dietas para cães.

Motivation/Background: Sustainability is established on economic, environmental and social pillars, which are understood as inseparable. This demands changes of paradigms and the construction of new models of living, which are directly connected to education. In this context, assuming that people’s actions are more dependent on consolidated habits than on conscience, this essay hopes to demonstrate that democratic management is an irrevocable imperative towards a sustainable society. Method: Methodologically, the research is of a standard nature, as we used qualitative, descriptive and exploratory approaches. As for the procedures, it can be classified as a bibliographic and documental research study. Results and Conclusions: It was concluded that democratic management in education is of great importance for the consolidation of the paradigm of sustainability since schools have a key role in the formation of citizens.

This study evaluated the effects of inclusion of Yucca schidigera extract (YSE) in two diets with different levels of crude protein (CP) for dogs on facal odour, nutrient digestibility, ammonia concentration in feces and hematological and serum biochemical profiles. Twenty adults Beagles were used, distributed in a randomized block design in a 2 × 4 factorial design (two diets, 25% and 34% CP, and four YSE levels: 0, 250, 500 and 750 mg/kg) with five replicates, obtained during two experimental periods. The fecal odour reduced (P < 0.05) when 500 mg/kg of YSE was used in diets with higher CP. The inclusion of YSE reduced (P < 0.05) fecal ammonia, and the inclusion of 250 and 500 mg/kg YSE reduced intestinal gas. The inclusion of 750 mg/kg YSE increased the mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) activity and tended to increase the serum cholesterol concentration, regardless of the protein level of the diets. There was no effect on the digestibility of nutrients, fecal consistency, nitrogen balance and thickness of the intestinal wall. The inclusion of 500 mg/kg YSE is effective in reducing fecal odour in dogs receiving diets with 34% of CP. Regardless of the protein content, YSE reduces fecal ammonia, but may cause adverse effects if included at higher doses.

This study evaluated the effects of adding an acidifying agent based on phosphoric acid (A), a yeast extract from a specific strain (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) (Y) and the combination of these two additives in food for adult cats. A test was conducted with 24 animals (mean 3.5 years old), mixed breed, weighing 3.72 ± 0.74 kg, kept in individual metabolic cages and distributed in a completely randomized design with a 2 × 2 factorial design (with or without A 0.6% of dry matter, with or without Y 1.5% of dry matter) totalling four treatments and six replicates of each condition. The experimental period was 15 days. The A or the Y reduced (P 0.09) on other parameters evaluated. Results of this study show that the isolated use of 0.6% A or 1.5% Y in diets for cats is not recommended. However, the association of these two additives was beneficial in increasing nutrient digestibility.

RESUMO Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a suplementação do composto antioxidante comercial EconomasE (Alltech, Brasil ( AOX) sobre o equilíbrio acidobásico, os parâmetros urinários, o hemograma completo e a fragilidade osmótica de eritrócitos (FOE) de gatos estressados. Foram utilizados 24 gatos adultos (3,49±0,87kg), distribuídos em delineamento inteiramente ao acaso, com quatro níveis (0, 250, 500, 750mg de AOX/kg de alimento na matéria seca) e seis repetições, durante o período de 80 dias. This study aimed to evaluate the inclusion of Yucca schidigera extract and zeolite (Clinoptilolite) added to the diets for dogs and its effect on apparent digestibility coefficients (ADC) of diet components (dry matter, organic matter, crude protein, acid hydrolyzed fat, and energy) and urinary pH. Twenty-one adult Beagles, males and females, body weight mean of 12.5±1.5kg and four and a half years old, distributed in a completely randomized design with seven replicates per treatment within three experimental treatments: control (no addition of Yucca schidigera and zeolite), Yucca schidigera (375ppm) and zeolite (1%), administered in the encapsulated form of the supplement. Maintaining the pH of urine in the ideal range (6.2 - 6.4) is of great importance for health promotion in the lower urinary tract of cats. In the economic and standard feed sector this is a major concern, given that the animal urine tends to be alkaline after food consumption of those commercial segments, which predispose to the formation of struvite urolith. Therefore, this study aimed to study the effects of increasing levels of urinary acidifiers (0.0%, 0.3%, 0.6% and 0.9%, on a dry matter base) in feed with high excess base over the acid-basic balance in the organism, apparent digestibility coefficients of nutrients, urinary pH, hydro-electrolyte balance in cats, as well as the adequacy of equations proposed in the literature to estimate the urinary pH. Twenty-four adult cats, males and females were distributed in a completely randomized design, consisting of six animals per treatment. The dry matter content of urine presented a quadratic behavior (p0.05). The equations proposed in the literature, which use excess of base in feed to estimate urinary pH, overestimated the pH values found in this study. A manutenção do pH da urina na faixa ideal (6,2 - 6,4) é de grande importância para a promoção da saúde do trato urinário inferior de felinos. Em alimentos do segmento econômico e standard essa é uma grande preocupação, já que a urina dos animais tende a ser alcalina, após o consumo de alimentos desses segmentos comerciais, predispondo à formação de urólito de estruvita. Nesse sentido, neste trabalho, objetivou-se estudar os efeitos de níveis crescentes de acidificante urinário (0,0%; 0,3%; 0,6%; e 0,9%, em base de matéria seca) em alimento com elevado excesso de bases sobre o balanço ácido-básico do organismo, coeficientes de digestibilidade aparente dos nutrientes, pH urinário, equilíbrio hidro-eletrolítico de gatos, bem como a adequação de equações propostas na literatura para estimar o pH urinário. Foram utilizados vinte e quatro gatos adultos, machos e fêmeas, distribuídos em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, constituído de seis animais por tratamento. A matéria seca da urina apresentou comportamento quadrático (p0,05). As equações propostas na literatura, que utilizam o excesso de bases do alimento para estimar o pH urinário, superestimaram os valores de pH encontrados no presente estudo.

Three experiments were performed to evaluate the effects of strain-specific yeast extract (SSYE) as an ingredient, functional additive or palatability agent when supplemented in its raw form in wet cat food. SSYE as ingredient – SSYE was chemically characterized and its use evaluated through fourteen cats divided into two treatments: control diet (complete wet adult cat food) and control diet with 30 % replacement by SSYE. The results of apparent digestibility coefficient of SSYE were 71.64 % for dry matter, 72.55 % for organic matter, 50.78 % for ashes, 78.59 % for crude protein, 84.33 % for the energy gross and digestible and metabolizable energy value, respectively, of 4,247 and 4,163 kcal/kg, these results indicated that SSYE is comparable to other protein sources for cat’s food. SSYE as a functional additive - twelve cats were distributed into two 6x6 latin squares (treatments; experimental periods), and the treatments were control diet and replacement levels ranged from 2 % to 10 % SSYE. The following parameters were evaluated: digestibility, energy utilization, nitrogen balance, serum urea and creatinine levels. No differences were found. SSYE as palatability agent – Were used twenty cats by comparing the control diet with 2 % replacement by SSYE. A significant difference (P < 0.01) was observed with a preference for control diet. SSYE is a potential protein source for cats; however, it is not effective as additive and may compromise palatability when supplemented in its raw form in complete wet cat food.
