With their high economic value and cultural significance, modern roses are one of the most important ornamental plants. Because of their complicated genetic background and tetraploid nature, the creation of high-density genetic maps of roses has been a challenge that has slowed the pace of molecular breeding for modern roses. The current construction of tetraploid genetic maps based on existing diploid rose genomes could lead to inaccurate marker information and genotyping results. Therefore, we generated the first high-quality tetraploid genome of Rosa chinensis 'Yunzheng Xiawei.' Utilizing Illumina, PacBio, and Hi-C sequencing technologies, we assembled a genome of 858.59 Mb with 14 pseudo-chromosomes. Mode of inheritance analysis using PolyOrigin indicated that modern roses show both quadrivalent and bivalent pairing. Based on this reference genome, high-density genetic maps were constructed using MSTmap with nearly saturated markers. Quantitative trait locus (QTL) analysis was conducted using WinQTLCart and R/qtl for flavonoids and carotenoids, and 11 QTL clusters were identified. By combining the genome annotation, phylogenetic analyses, and gene expression analyses, we were able to identify several key genes related to flavonoid and carotenoid biosynthesis. This study provides the basis for further genetic analyses of highly heterozygous tetraploid roses and could facilitate the progress of marker-assisted selection in modern roses. Calmodulin-binding transcription activator (CAMTA), as one of the transcription factors, is involved in performing important functions in modulating plant stress responses and development in a Ca2+/CaM-driven modus. However, genome-scale analysis of CAMTA has not been systemically investigated in roses. Rose (Rosa chinensis Jacq.) CAMTA gene family members were identified and bioinformatically analyzed to investigate their expression characteristics in plant hormonal responses. The results show that a total of five rose CAMTA genes were identified. Chromosomal localization shows that the RcCAMTA gene members were located on chromosomes 2, 4, and 7. Physicochemical property analysis shows that its CDS sequence length ranges from 500 to 1070 bp, the molecular weight ranges from 55,531.60 to 120,252.98 Da, and the isoelectric point is from 5.04 to 8.54. Phylogenetic analysis shows that rose CAMTA genes are classified into three subfamilies. Conservative motif analysis reveals the presence of motif 1, motif 3, motif 5, motif 7, and motif 10 in all the RcCAMTA genes. The cis-acting element prediction results show that the rose CAMTA gene family contains phytohormone-signaling response elements, abiotic stress responses, light responses, and other elements, most of which are hormone-signaling response elements. From the expression levels of RcCAMTA genes, the CAMTA family's genes in roses have different spatial expression patterns in different tissues. The qRT-PCR analysis showed that all five rose CAMTA genes responded to salicylic acid (SA). RcCAMTA3 was significantly induced by abscisic acid (ABA), and RcCAMTA2 was significantly induced by 1H-indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and methyl jasmonate (MeJA). The rose hydrosol was extracted from Yunnan Dark Red Rose petals by steam distillation, and the extraction process was optimized by response surface methodology. Besides, volatile compounds in the rose hydrosol were analyzed by headspace solid phase microextraction-gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC–MS) and its antioxidant activity was also verified. The results showed that the sensory score of rose hydrosol was the highest when the ratio of flower to liquid was 1:2 (w/v), the reflux time was 5 min, the distillation temperature was 120°C, and the concentration of sodium chloride was 3%. The scavenging rates of rose hydrosol on DPPH, ⋅OH and superoxide anion (⋅O2−) were 26.13, 55.56 and 10.76% respectively, the polyphenol content was 14.9 ± 2.5 GAE mg/g, and the content of flavonoids in pure dew was 19.3 ± 1.3 RE mg/g which indicated that the extracted rose hydrosol had adequate antioxidant activity. The aim of this study was to investigate the morphological traits and fragrance-related volatile compounds in three garden rose cultivars from the 'Fragrant Frayla' collection: 'Draga Frayla', 'Jelena Frayla', and 'Lenka Frayla', bred by the private breeding company Pheno Geno Roses. The roses were cultivated under open-field conditions in Temerin, Serbia, without irrigation and chemical treatments. Vegetative and generative properties were assessed in June and September 2023, while headspace volatile extraction and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) were employed to identify scent-related volatiles. All three cultivars exhibited high ornamental value, with shrub heights ranging from 47 to 67 cm, semi-upright to upright growth habits, double flowers with diameters from 6.6 to 8.2 cm, and petal counts from 35.8 to 83.8. Upon sensory evaluations, 'Draga Frayla', 'Jelena Frayla', and 'Lenka Frayla' were characterized by moderately strong, strong and moderate fragrances, respectively. Volatile analysis detected the presence of phenylethyl alcohol (up to 57.31% in 'Draga Frayla'), terpenoids (a total of 28.2% for citronellol, geraniol, and nerol, found exclusively in 'Jelena Frayla'), and hydrocarbons. Hydrocarbons containing fewer than 30 C-atoms were predominantly found in 'Draga Frayla' (accounting for approximately 25% of the total peak area), while those with more than 30 C-atoms were present at less than 20% in the strongly scented roses. The highest number of volatiles was detected in 'Jelena Frayla', the rose cultivar identified as the most fragrant. The results revealed a correlation between strong fragrance intensity and elevated levels of phenylethyl alcohol and alcoholic monoterpenes, whereas a diverse array of hydrocarbons, rather than their concentration, appeared to enhance scent emission. Orientation-dependent integral equation theory (ODIET) was applied to the rose water model. Structural and thermodynamic properties of water modeled with the rose model were calculated using ODIET and compared to results from orientation-averaged integral equation theory (IET) and Monte Carlo simulations. Rose water model is a simple two-dimensional water model where molecules of water are represented as Lennard–Jones disks with explicit hydrogen bonding potential in form of rose functions. Orientational dependency significantly improves IET, as the thermodynamic results obtained using ODIET are significantly more in agreement with results calculated using MC than in the case of the orientationally averaged version. At high temperatures, the agreement between the simulation and theory is quantitative; however, when temperatures lower, a slight deviation between results obtained with different methods appear. ODIET correctly predicts the radial distribution function; moreover, ODIet also enables the calculation of angular distributions. While the angular distributions obtained with ODIET are in qualitative agreement with distributions from MC simulations, the height of the peaks in angular distributions differs between methods. Using results from ODIET, the spatial distribution of water molecules was constructed, which aids in the interpretation of other structural properties. ODIET was also used to calculate fractions of molecules with different number of hydrogen bonds, which is in the agreement with the simulations. Abstract Background Due to genetic depletion in nature, gene banks play a critical role in the long-term conservation of plant genetic resources and the provision of a wide range of plant genetic diversity for research and breeding programs. Genetic information on accessions facilitates gene bank management and can help to conserve limited resources and to identify taxonomic misclassifications or mislabelling. Here, we developed SNP markers for genotyping 4,187 mostly polyploid rose accessions from large rose collections, including the German Genebank for Roses. Results We filtered SNP marker information from the RhWag68k Axiom SNP array using call rates, uniformity of the four allelic dosage groups and chromosomal position to improve genotyping efficiency. After conversion to individual PACE® markers and further filtering, we selected markers with high discriminatory power. These markers were used to analyse 4,187 accessions with a mean call rate of 91.4%. By combining two evaluation methods, the mean call rate was increased to 95.2%. Additionally, the robustness against the genotypic groups used for calling was evaluated, resulting in a final set of 18 markers. Analyses of 94 pairs of assumed duplicate accessions included as controls revealed unexpected differences for eight pairs, which were confirmed using SSR markers. After removing the duplicates and filtering for accessions that were robustly called with all 18 markers, 141 out of the 1,957 accessions showed unexpected identical marker profiles with at least one other accession in our PACE® and SSR analysis. Given the attractiveness of NGS technologies, 13 SNPs from the marker set were also analysed using amplicon sequencing, with 76% agreement observed between PACE® and amplicon markers. Conclusions Although sampling error cannot be completely excluded, this is an indication that mislabelling occurs in rose collections and that molecular markers may be able to detect these cases. In future applications, our marker set could be used to develop a core reference set of representative accessions, and thus optimise the selection of gene bank accessions.

The study of the reproduction characteristics of roses of the garden class Shrub, the defini-tion of the dependence of the hormonal determination of explant rhizogenesis on the con-centrations of phytohormones that are part of the nutrient medium, are relevant and has both scientific and practical interest. This study presents the results of studies of hormonal de-termination of rhizogenesis in explants of cultivars of roses of the garden class Shrub: Gärt-nerfreude, Lavender Dream, Pomponella, Red Cascade, Sommerabend cultivated in vitro on nutrient medium containing growth regulators. It has been established that of the nutrient medium modified by the addition of 0.2-1.0 mg/l α-naphthylacetic acid (α-NAA), the most effective was the medium with the content of α-NAA 0.5 mg/l, the content of macro- and microelements half of the Murashige and Skoog prescriptions, and a decrease in the sucrose content to 2.0%. On this medium, the frequency of rhizogenesis averaged 61.2% for the studied cultivars. Hormonal determination of rhizogenesis and efficiency of root formation in vitro in the Shrub rose regenerants depended on the genotype of the plant: cv. Lavender Dream (66.0%) and cv. Sommerabend (67.0%) had the highest rhizogenesis ability. The use of the universal growth regulator Humifield in combination with 0.5 mg/l α-NAA contribut-ed to an increase in the rooting rate of the studied rose cultivars up to 70.0-86.0%.

Addressing the current reliance on manual sorting and grading of spray rose cut flowers, this paper proposed an improved YOLOv5s model for intelligent recognition and grading detection of rose color series and flowering index of spray rose cut flowers. By incorporating small-scale anchor boxes and small object feature output, the model enhanced the annotation accuracy and the detection precision for occluded rose flowers. Additionally, a convolutional block attention module attention mechanism was integrated into the original network structure to improve the model's feature extraction capability. The WIoU loss function was employed in place of the original CIoU loss function to increase the precision of the model's post-detection processing. Test results indicated that for two types of spray rose cut flowers, Orange Bubbles and Yellow Bubbles, the improved YOLOv5s model achieved an accuracy and recall improvement of 10.2% and 20.0%, respectively. This paper explored the in vitro inhibitory mechanism of polyphenol-rich rose extracts (REs) from an edible rose flower against α-glucosidase using multispectral and molecular docking techniques. Results showed that REs had an inhibitory effect on α-Glu activity (IC50 of 1.96 μg/mL); specifically, the samples pretreated by tri-frequency ultrasound (20/40/60 kHz) exhibited a significantly (p < 0.05) stronger inhibitory effect on α-Glu activity with an IC50 of 1.33 μg/mL. The Lineweaver–Burk assay indicated that REs were mixed-type inhibitors and could statically quench the endogenous fluorescence of α-Glu. REs increased the chance of polypeptide chain misfolding by altering the microenvironment around tryptophan and tyrosine residues and disrupting the natural conformation of the enzyme. Molecular docking results showed that polyhydroxy phenolics had a high fit to the active site of α-Glu, so REs with high polymerization and numerous phenolic hydroxyl groups had a stronger inhibitory effect. This study tested whether encouraging prediction enhances prediction in second language (L2) speakers. L2 English speakers listened to English sentences like The woman … will read/buy one of the newspapers while viewing the target (a newspaper) and distractor objects (a rose, a bowl, and a mango) on a screen and clicked on the target as quickly as possible. The target was predictable (read) or unpredictable (buy) from the verb meaning. Participants looked at the target longer and were quicker to move the mouse to it when instructed to predict sentence continuation than when they were merely instructed to comprehend sentences. This result held true both when the target was predictable and unpredictable. Furthermore, only when instructed to predict did the participants make more clicking errors when the target was unpredictable than predictable, which suggested that encouraging prediction can interfere with word recognition accuracy in unpredictable contexts due to reduced cognitive resources or failed predictions. AbstractAmong the most important merits of modern missing data techniques such as multiple imputation (MI) and full-information maximum likelihood estimation is the possibility to include additional information about the missingness process via auxiliary variables. During the past decade, the choice of auxiliary variables has been investigated under a variety of different conditions and more recent research points to the potentially biasing effect of certain auxiliary variables, particularly colliders (Thoemmes & Rose, 2014). In this article, we further extend biasing mechanisms of certain auxiliary variables considered in previous research and thereby focus on their effects on individual diagnosis based on norming, in which the whole distribution of a variable is of interest rather than average coefficients (e.g., means). For this, we first provide the theoretical underpinnings of the mechanisms under study and then provide two focused simulations that (i) directly expand on the collider scenario in Thoemmes and Rose (2014, appendix A) by considering outcomes that are relevant to norming and (ii) extend the scenarios under consideration by instrumental variable mechanisms. We illustrate the bias mechanisms for two different norming approaches and exemplify the procedures by means of an empirical example. Vase life directly affects the ornamental value of cut flowers, and extending vase life has been a research focus in the floriculture industry. The antioxidant and antimicrobial properties of Nano-Se provide a new direction to extend the life of cut-flower vase life. In order to explore the postharvest quality of Nano-Se on cut-flower roses, this study treated cut-flower roses with different concentrations of Nano-Se (200, 400, and 600 mM) using a commercially available preservative solution as a base solution. The results showed that appropriate concentrations of Nano-Se significantly increased the vase life of cut-flower roses and helped to maintain high petal moisture content. Nano-Se at concentrations of 200, 400, and 600 mM extended the vase life of cut roses by 4.3, 5.7, and 3.7 d, respectively. As the vase period extended, the Nano-Se treatment group effectively delayed the decline in antioxidant enzyme activities such as peroxidase (POD) and catalase (CAT), maintained the soluble sugar (SS) and soluble protein (SP) contents in the cut roses, and inhibited the production of malondialdehyde (MDA) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), reducing their accumulation. A correlation analysis of the physiological indexes of cut roses showed that vase life was positively correlated with POD and CAT activities, SS and SP contents, and total phenolic acid content and negatively correlated with MDA and H2O2 contents. This study provides a solid theoretical basis for the diversification of preservatives and the development of new preservatives for fresh-cut roses, which is expected to provide significant economic benefits. Appropriately incorporating other perspectives in an academic text is a challenge for second language learners and their incorporating practices in oral academic discourse are under-researched. Drawing on the account of heterogloss by Martin and his associates (e.g. Martin & Rose, 2007; Martin & White, 2005), this study investigated the heteroglossic practices in 81 oral presentations by the undergraduates enrolled in a 16-week course on English for Academic Purposes (EAP) in China. Textual analysis reveals the learners’ insufficient understanding of legitimate evidence and reporting verbs, overreliance on the high value modal verb (i.e. should) in presenting a proposal, and inappropriate sourcing for generating a concession in academic discourse. Based on the findings, a triadic model concerning heteroglossic practices in learners’ academic discourse is proposed, and pedagogical implications are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Cultivated climbing roses are skillfully shaped by arranging their stems manually against support walls to enhance their aesthetic appeal. This study introduces a procedural technique designed to replicate the branching pattern of climbing roses, simulating the manual training process. The central idea of the proposed approach is the conceptualization of tree modeling as a constrained path‐finding problem. The primary goal is to optimize the stem structure to achieve the most impressive floral display. The proposed method operates iteratively, generating multiple stems while applying the objective function in each iteration for maximizing coverage on the support wall. Muslim-minority countries have emerged among the largest exporters of halal products for the Muslim market and received significant numbers of inbound Muslim travellers. The global nature of the halal industry value chain calls for a thorough understanding about halal, particularly in the context of Muslim-minority countries. To gain this understanding, a systematic literature review was conducted to explore the themes of halal research in Muslim-minority countries. A total of 22 empirical research articles were analysed based on a review protocol adapted from ROSES. The articles were sourced from the Scopus and Web of Science, with Google Scholar as a supplementary database. The study generated five main themes that synthesise the scholarly knowledge about halal in the context of Muslim-minority countries at the consumer, organization, and institution levels of analysis. The findings illustrate the lack of understanding about halal among the industry players and consumers, as well as the lack of central governance and policymaking within the halal industry in Muslim-minority countries. In this article, we construct (graded) automorphisms fixing all vertices of Leavitt path algebras of arbitrary graphs in terms of general linear groups over corners of these algebras. As an application, we study Zhang twist of Leavitt path algebras and describe new classes of irreducible representations of Leavitt path algebras of rose graphs R n with n petals. Previous studies have shown that rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) improves the diagnostic yield of bronchoscopy using endobronchial ultrasound with a guide sheath (EBUS-GS) for peripheral pulmonary lesions (PPL). While ROSE of imprint cytology from forceps biopsy has been widely discussed, there are few reports on ROSE of brush cytology. This study investigated the utility of ROSE of brush cytology during bronchoscopy. We retrospectively analyzed data from 214 patients who underwent bronchoscopy with EBUS-GS for PPL. The patients in the ROSE group had significantly higher diagnostic sensitivity through the entire bronchoscopy process than in the non-ROSE group (96.8% vs. 83.3%, P = 0.002). The use of ROSE significantly increased the sensitivity of brush cytology with Papanicolaou staining (92.9% vs. 75.0%, P < 0.001). When ROSE was sequentially repeated on brushing specimens, initially negative ROSE results converted to positive in 79.5% of cases, and the proportion of specimens with high tumor cell counts increased from 42.1 to 69.0%. This study concludes that ROSE of brush cytology improves the diagnostic accuracy of bronchoscopy and enhances specimen quality through repeated brushing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Previous research has shown that prosodic structure can regulate the relationship between co-speech gestures and speech itself. Most co-speech studies have focused on manual gestures, but head movements have also been observed to accompany speech events by Munhall, Jones, Callan, Kuratate, and Vatikiotis-Bateson [(2004). Psychol. Sci. 15(2), 133–137], and these co-verbal gestures may be linked to prosodic prominence, as shown by Esteve-Gibert, Borrás-Comes, Asor, Swerts, and Prieto [(2017). J. Acoust. Soc. This study examines how the timing and magnitude of head nods may be related to degrees of prosodic prominence connected to different focus conditions. Using electromagnetic articulometry, a time-varying signal of vertical head movement for 12 native French speakers was generated to examine the relationship between head nod gestures and F0 peaks. The results suggest that speakers use two different alignment strategies, which integrate both temporal and magnitudinal aspects of the gesture. Some evidence of inter-speaker preferences in the use of the two strategies was observed, although the inter-speaker variability is not categorical. Importantly, prosodic prominence itself is not the cause of the difference between the two strategies, but instead magnifies their inherent differences. Inspired by a (process) phenomenological reading of Deborah Bird Rose's 1988 article "Exploring an Aboriginal Land Ethic," and drawing on Merleau-Ponty's claim that knowledge is "in the hands," this paper explores the intersection of Merleau-Ponty's embodied, process phenomenology and Indigenous Australian place-based ontologies. Rather than the moral demands or consequences of adopting an "Aboriginal land ethic," the present paper is concerned with the ontological and epistemological – or, broadly speaking, the phenomenological – underpinnings of such a land ethic. Contra Rose's claim that, in the Western tradition, we "have very little idea of what a non-human-centred cosmos looks like and how it can be thought to work," it is argued that Merleau-Ponty's fundamental thought provides us with a viable pathway towards a non-human-centred phenomenological ontology that, somewhat paradoxically, is nevertheless grounded in the lived body. Bulgarian rose oil is world famous for its high quality. Obtaining it makes the cultivation and processing of oil-bearing rose crops an important agricultural branch. There are more than 200 species of roses in the world, and in Bulgaria the species with the greatest agricultural importance are Rosa damascena Mill. f. trigintipetala Dieck. and Rosa alba L. Their qualitative composition is relatively constant and includes, in addition to essential oil, a variety of polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals. Products from the processing of the rose flower are: rose oil, rose absolute, rose concrete, rose water and others from secondary processing. Hydrodistillation is the technological method for obtaining rose oil, but it generated huge amount of biocontaminated wastewater. The retention of the organic components will satisfy the ecological criteria for the purity of wastewater and will create an opportunity for full-fledged use of their bioactive properties. The developed conventional methods are not sufficiently precise, cost-effective and environmentally friendly. Membrane technology and ultrafiltration processes have proven their technological and economic efficiency for purification, separation, concentration and decontamination of various liquid products. The aim of the study is to investigate the possibility of applying composite polyacrylonitrile membranes for the purification of wastewater from the hydrodistillation of oil rose flower and separated into the waste components. This paper shows the light effects and geometric alignments created by the sunlight passing through the stained glasses of the eastern rose window in Mallorca Cathedral and projecting on the inner side of the cathedral's main façade and on the cathedral's floor. Rose black spot disease, caused by Marssonina rosae (syn. Diplocarpon rosae), is one of the most widespread diseases of field-grown roses worldwide. Pathogens have been found to interfere with or stimulate plant immune responses by secreting effectors. However, the molecular mechanism involved in inhibition of the rose immune response by M. rosae effectors remains poorly understood. Here, we identified the effector MrSEP43, which plays a pivotal role in promoting the virulence of M. rosae and enhancing rose susceptibility to infection by reducing callose deposition, H2O2 accumulation, and the expression of defense genes in the jasmonic acid signaling pathway. Yeast two-hybrid, bimolecular fluorescence complementation, and split luciferase assays showed that MrSEP43 interacted with the rose orphan protein RcBROG. RcBROG, a positive regulator of defense against M. rosae , enhanced rose resistance by increasing callose deposition, H2O2 accumulation, and the expression of RcERF1 in the ethylene signaling pathway. Overall, our findings suggest that the M. rosae virulence effector MrSEP43 specifically targets the orphan protein RcBROG to suppress the rose immune response to M. rosae. These results provide new insights into how M. rosae manipulates and successfully colonizes rose leaves, and are essential for preventing the breakdown of resistance to rose black spot disease. Background: This is a retrospective cohort study from a single center of Chest Medical District of Nanjing Brain Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University, Jiangsu Province, China. It was aim to evaluate the diagnostic value of radial endobronchial ultrasound (R-EBUS) combination with rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) guided transbronchial lung biopsy (TBLB) for peripheral pulmonary lesions in patients with emphysema. Methods: All 170 patients who underwent PPLs with emphysema received an R-EBUS examination with or without the ROSE procedure, and the diagnostic yield, safety, and possible factors influencing diagnosis were analyzed between the two groups by the SPSS 25.0 software. Results: The pooled and benign diagnostic yields were not different in the two groups (P = 0.224, 0.924), but the diagnostic yield of malignant PPLs was significantly higher in the group with ROSE than the group without ROSE (P = 0.042). The sensitivity of ROSE was 79.10%, the specificity, 91.67%, the positive predictive value, 98.15%, and the negative predictive value, 84.62%. The diagnostic accuracy, was 95.52%. In the group of R-EBUS + ROSE, the procedural time and the number of times of biopsy or brushing were both significantly reduced (all P<0.05). The incidence of pneumothorax (1.20%) and bleeding (10.84%) in the group of R-EBUS + ROSE were also less than those in the group of R-EBUS (P<0.05). The lesion's diameter ≥ 2 cm, the distance between the pleura and the lesion ≥ 2 cm, the positive air bronchograms sign, the location of the ultrasound probe within the lesion, and the even echo with clear margin feature of lesion ultrasonic image, these factors are possibly relevant to a higher diagnostic yield. The diagnostic yield of PPLs those were adjacent to emphysema were lower than those PPLs which were away from emphysema (P = 0.048) in the group without ROSE, however, in the group of R-EBUS + ROSE, there was no such difference whether the lesion is adjacent to emphysema or not (P = 0.236). Conclusion: Our study found that the combination of R-EBUS and ROSE during bronchoscopy procedure was a safe and effective modality to improve diagnostic yield of PPLs with emphysema, especially for malignant PPLs. The distance between the pleura and the lesion ≥ 2 cm, the positive air bronchograms sign, the location of the ultrasound probe within the lesion, and the even echo with clear margin feature of lesion ultrasonic image, these factors possibly indicated a higher diagnostic yield. This study aims to establish a method for purifying total flavonoids in roses using macroporous resin columns, intending to leverage and harness their potential. We screened six macroporous resins to evaluate their capacity for their adsorption and desorption, ultimately identifying X5 macroporous resin as the most effective. To comprehensively understand the adsorption behavior, we analyzed it using various models, such as pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models, particle diffusion models, and Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin isotherm models. Employing both single-factor and uniform design, approaches, the focus of this work was on maximizing the total flavonoid recovery rate. A 3-factor and 10-level uniform design table was utilized for optimizing the optimal process parameters and exploring the antioxidant properties of the purified flavonoids. The optimal process conditions for purifying total flavonoids from roses can be summarized as follows: a sample concentration of 2 mg/mL, pH at 2, 55 mL sample volume, eluent ethanol concentration of 75%, eluent volume of 5 BV, and the elution rate set at 1 mL/min. Following purification, the total flavonoid content peaked at 57.82%, achieving an 84.93% recovery rate, signifying substantial antioxidant potential. Consequently, the method established for purifying TFR using X5 macroporous resin in this study proves to be a dependable and reliable method consistent approach. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Social media's potential for knowledge dissemination is under-utilized due to limited user participation. This study systematically reviews factors affecting knowledge-sharing intentions on social platforms using the ROSES protocol. We searched Scopus and Web of Science for quality, relevance, and rigor, finding that 65% of the articles shared were published in high-quality journals (Q1 or Q2), with the Journal of Knowledge Management accounting for 15%. Since 2015, 62.5% of research has been published, highlighting increased activity. Quantitative methods dominated (95%), with Zhihu being the most studied platform. We identified four key themes—psychological, technological, environmental, and social—covering 47 determinants centered on trust and attitude, primarily based on individual and social behavior theories. This is the first systematic exploration of elements influencing knowledge-sharing intentions on social media, providing insights to enhance user interaction and guide social media strategies in knowledge-centric organizations. Agrilus cuprescens (Ménétries, 1832), the rose stem girdler, is a Palearctic Buprestidae (Coleoptera) pest of Rosa and Rubus species. Its introduction and consequent spread across North America may now make it the most widely distributed Agrilus species, globally.No evidence reviewed indicated A. cuprescens was present in North America long before it was first reported on Rosa in New Jersey, USA, in 1913. The species incrementally progressed westward, reaching the Pacific coast in Washington, USA, 101 years later. Future spread is most likely within the northern Canadian prairies and the Pacific Northwest regions. Its presence in the latter region poses a contemporary threat to epicentres of Rubus production in both the United States and Canada. As of 2022, confirmed spread within the region extended nearly to the Canadian border in Washington and the southern Willamette Valley in Oregon.The most comprehensive, foundational investigations of A. cuprescens in North America were conducted in the late 1930s and early 1940s in New York, USA, and in Utah, USA, during the late 1950s and early 1960s following damaging outbreaks on Rubus. Decorative plants require skillful pruning by gardeners. However, conventional plant modeling techniques have focused only on the biological growth rules of wild plants and do not yet consider artificial care. In this study, an interactive system was developed for modeling the branching structure of artificially cultivated plants, particularly shrub roses. The structural parameters are designed to reflect the intentions of gardeners and differences between rose varieties. The proposed graphical controllers enable users to intuitively manipulate the tree shape, considering biological growth rules and artificial pruning. This study investigates the micromorphology and morphometrics of aggregate fruit (ripe hypanthium and achene) of eight wild Rosa species collected throughout Serbia. Field research was conducted to find roses at different habitats, collecting 1,836 aggregate fruits with 25,999 achenes from 137 shrubs. Multicellular glandular trichomes are found on the hypanthium surface, while long and short stalk capitate glandular trichomes were observed on the fruits of R. gallica, R. pendulina, R. tomentosa and R. villosa. Numerous unicellular non-glandular trichomes were found inside the urceolate hypanthium and on the surface of most studied achenes, except for R. spinosissima species. Micromorphological analysis revealed three types of exocarp ornamentation: scalariform (R. dumetorum, R. tomentosa and R. micrantha), reticulate (R. gallica, R. arvensis, R. spinosissima and R. villosa) and reticulate-smooth (R. pendulina). Morphometric analysis indicated significant differences among the 14 morphological characters. Achene length was the most significant morphometric feature for identifying Rosa species (P˂0.05). The results contribute to our poor knowledge of rose fruit morphology and provide some well-defined microcharacters that could be used as additional features for species delimitation.
