Objectives: The present research was conducted with the aim of studying intensive parenting, parenting goals and parental perfectionism in two groups Iranian mothers and fathers.Methods: A total of 706 parents (532 women and 174 men) were selected to participate in the research by volunteer. The measurements were included Parenting Goals Scale (PGS), intensive parenting questionnaire (IPS) and parental perfectionism scale (MPPQ).Finding: The results of t-test showed that mothers were significantly different from fathers in intensive parenting in general and specifically in essentialism and challenging (p< .05) and fathers had a significant difference in child-centered with mothers (p< .01). The results also showed that fathers were significantly different from mothers in child development (p< .05) and parental image (p< .05) of parental goals and perfectionism in both self-oriented and social-oriented dimensions (p< .05).Conclusion: The results of this study highlight the special role of fathers and mothers in the outcomes of parenting, focusing on reinforced parenting goals with the aim of shaping the child's social identity, paying attention to the special responsibility of fathers in raising children, considering the components of parenting in Iranian culture.

Abstract Introduction The journals must have an instruction for writers to observe the essential ethical principles like privacy-preserving, secrecy, and keeping the patients’ identities hidden. Even though patient secrecy is an important ideology in medicine’s ethics, most journals have a little guide on this topic for the authors. According to the absence of such studies in dentistry and limited studies in medicine, our goal in this article is to review the opinions of professors, Kerman dentistry students, and patients for publishing the patient images in the articles. Method This research is an analytical, sectional, and descriptive study. The studied society includes the professors of the dentistry faculty (54 people), the 4th to 6th years dentistry students (122 people), and 129 patients who referred to the offices, the faculty, and other clinics in Kerman city base on simple random sampling method. A query including the personal questions, and questions related to the participants’ opinions about publishing the images was given to contributors. Abundance, average tables, chi-square (χ 2) test, T-test, and SPSS 21 software were used for data description. Results The contributors’ attitudes were different in three groups of participants: more than half of the patients (58.91%), 39.5% of students, and 31.38% of professors believed that no permission is needed. While, 64.34% of the patients, 89.34% of students, and 83.3% of professors believed that written permission is needed for publishing. Conclusion From the participants’ viewpoints, more strict forms are needed by increasing identity recognizability. The professors are more eager than the patients to receive patients’ permission for any kind of image. By reducing the level of identification, doctors and students are more eager than patients to receive approvals.

Through sustainable development goals 3 and 8 and other policies, countries have committed to protect and promote workers' health by reducing the work-related burden of disease. To monitor progress on these commitments, indicators that capture the work-related burden of disease should be available for monitoring workers' health and sustainable development. The World Health Organization and the International Labour Organization estimate that only 363 283 (19%) of 1 879 890 work-related deaths globally in 2016 were due to injuries, whereas 1 516 607 (81%) deaths were due to diseases. Most monitoring systems focusing on workers' health or sustainable development, such as the global indicator framework for the sustainable development goals, include an indicator on the burden of occupational injuries. Few such systems, however, have an indicator on the burden of work-related diseases. To address this gap, we present a new global indicator: mortality rate from diseases attributable to selected occupational risk factors, by disease, risk factor, sex and age group. We outline the policy rationale of the indicator, describe its data sources and methods of calculation, and report and analyse the official indicator for 183 countries. We also provide examples of the use of the indicator in national workers' health monitoring systems and highlight the indicator's strengths and limitations. We conclude that integrating the new indicator into monitoring systems will provide more comprehensive and accurate surveillance of workers' health, and allow harmonization across global, regional and national monitoring systems. Inequalities in workers' health can be analysed and the evidence base can be improved towards more effective policy and systems on workers' health. Par le biais des objectifs de developpement durable 3 et 8 ainsi que d'autres mesures, plusieurs pays se sont engages a proteger et promouvoir la sante des travailleurs en reduisant l'impact des maladies liees au travail. Mais pour evaluer leurs progres en la matiere, il convient de mettre en place des indicateurs estimant l'impact des maladies liees au travail afin de placer le developpement durable et la sante des travailleurs sous surveillance. D'apres l'Organisation mondiale de la Sante et l'Organisation internationale du Travail, seulement 363 283 (19%) des 1 879 890 deces lies au travail dans le monde en 2016 decoulaient de blessures, tandis que 1 516 607 (81%) d'entre eux etaient causes par des maladies. La plupart des systemes de surveillance qui s'interessent a la sante des travailleurs ou au developpement durable, comme le cadre mondial d'indicateurs pour les objectifs de developpement durable, comportent un indicateur relatif a l'impact des accidents de travail. Cependant, rares sont ceux qui possedent un indicateur concernant l'impact des maladies professionnelles. Pour combler cette lacune, nous devoilons un nouvel indicateur mondial: le taux de mortalite du aux maladies attribuables a certains facteurs de risque professionnels classe par maladie, facteur de risque, sexe et categorie d'age. Nous exposons le motif politique de l'indicateur, decrivons l'origine des donnees et les methodes de calcul, et communiquons et analysons l'indicateur officiel pour 183 pays. Nous fournissons egalement des exemples de la facon dont l'indicateur peut etre utilise dans des systemes nationaux de surveillance de la sante des travailleurs et soulignons ses forces et faiblesses. Nous concluons en affirmant que l'integration de ce nouvel indicateur dans les systemes de surveillance offrira un suivi plus complet et precis de la sante des travailleurs et ouvrira la voie a une harmonisation des systemes mondiaux, nationaux et regionaux. Il est possible d'analyser les inegalites en matiere de sante des travailleurs et d'en ameliorer les bases factuelles afin d'etablir des politiques et systemes plus efficaces dans ce domaine. Para supervisar los avances en el cumplimiento de estos compromisos, deberia disponerse de indicadores que reflejen la carga de morbilidad relacionada con el trabajo, a fin de controlar la salud de los trabajadores y el desarrollo sostenible. La Organizacion Mundial de la Salud y la Organizacion Internacional del Trabajo estiman que solo 363 283 (19%) de las 1 879 890 muertes relacionadas con el trabajo a nivel mundial en 2016 se debieron a lesiones, mientras que 1 516 607 (81%) muertes se debieron a enfermedades. La mayoria de los sistemas de vigilancia centrados en la salud de los trabajadores o el desarrollo sostenible, como el marco de indicadores mundiales para los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible, incluyen un indicador sobre la carga de las lesiones laborales. No obstante, pocos de estos sistemas cuentan con un indicador sobre la carga de las enfermedades relacionadas con el trabajo. Para subsanar esta carencia, presentamos un nuevo indicador mundial: la tasa de mortalidad por enfermedades atribuibles a factores de riesgo laborales seleccionados, por enfermedad, factor de riesgo, sexo y grupo de edad. Describimos la justificacion politica del indicador, describimos sus fuentes de datos y metodos de calculo, e informamos y analizamos el indicador oficial para 183 paises. Tambien proporcionamos ejemplos del uso del indicador en los sistemas nacionales de vigilancia de la salud de los trabajadores y destacamos las ventajas y las limitaciones del indicador. Concluimos que la integracion del nuevo indicador en los sistemas de vigilancia proporcionara una vigilancia mas exhaustiva y precisa de la salud de los trabajadores, y permitira la armonizacion entre los sistemas de vigilancia mundiales, regionales y nacionales. One of the main goals of marriage and family forming is achieving tranquility, but analyzing the situation of families based on cases referred to counseling centers and family courts as well as the rising divorce rate show that marital life does not bring tranquility for many people. Therefore, as the impairment of the tranquility feeling is a challenge in Iranian families’ marital life and women tranquility has a special significance due to their educational role in the family, the question of the present study is to explain the obstacles of tranquility feeling in marital life from the view of women. In this regard, using qualitative method, with in-depth interview with 60 married women living in Tehran and content analysis of interviews, the factors that disturb the women's tranquility in marital life have been extracted in five main categories. contextual conditions of "disruptive selection", "disruptive attitude", "disruptive performance" and "disruptive structure" lead to the realization of causal conditions of disruption of sense of tranquility that is "the gap between the assets and demands". The extracted content of the categories was the "disturbance in security-based fulfilling the family members’ needs" which is the factor of disturbance in women's tranquility in marital life.

Women's studies degree has been established in Iran as a master degree in 1380, after ten years Ph.d program was approved. The ups and downs of academic process of women's studies was required to examine its scientific status. In this regard, this paper attempts to discover the challenges and approaches of women's studies by a qualitative method and interviewing twenty experts. At next step, we analyze the data through content analysis techniques and coding all interviews. Our findings indicate that some of the challenges are as follow: unstructured academic discipline, curriculum problems and defects, non-expert and inefficient reviews, lack of qualified professors, incorrect admission, lack of scientific expertise and graduates' efficiency, lack of suitable jobs for graduates, opposite Approaches, lack of theorizing, dissemination of university-government interaction in women's studies, the inefficiency of the field in providing solutions for women's issues and its full impact from politics. The experts had some suggestions on approaches and solutions, some of them are: Specialized review of the curriculum, improve the academic structure of discipline, experienced professors, systematic admission process, interaction between university and effective institutions on women's issues and link between different intellectual schools in women studies.

Abstract The aim of this research is to study the process which shapes women’s experience of tranquility feeling in marital life. This study was fulfilled by the grounded theory method and data was gathered through in-depth interviews with 60 married women in Tehran, and were analyzed by theoretical coding. The main purpose of marriage is to achieve tranquility. Women in interviews described feeling of security and absence of disquieting trouble as feeling of tranquility. The core category was “security of needs provision”. From the point of view of women to achieve tranquility in marital life, firstly the needs of all family members should be provided within the family;secondly, the family must provide all the needs which are expected from it to be the provider of; thirdly, providing the needs should be accompanied with the feeling of security.

Monocytes and macrophages play key roles in many disease states, including cellular and humoral rejection after solid organ transplantation (SOT). To suppress alloimmunity after SOT, immunosuppressive drug therapy is necessary. However, little is known about the effects of the immunosuppressive drugs tacrolimus and mycophenolic acid (MPA) on monocyte activation and function. Here, the effect of these immunosuppressants on monocytes was investigated by measuring phosphorylation of three intracellular signaling proteins which all have a major role in monocyte function: p38MAPK, ERK and Akt. In addition, biological functions downstream of these signaling pathways were studied, including cytokine production, phagocytosis and differentiation into macrophages. To this end, blood samples from healthy volunteers were spiked with diverse concentrations of tacrolimus and MPA. Tacrolimus (200 ng/ml) inhibited phosphorylation of p38MAPK by 30% (mean) in CD14+ monocytes which was significantly less than in activated CD3+ T cells (max 60%; p < 0.05). This immunosuppressive agent also partly inhibited p-AKT (14%). MPA, at a therapeutic concentration showed the strongest effect on p-AKT (27% inhibition). p-ERK was inhibited with a maximum of 15% after spiking with either tacrolimus or MPA. The production of IL-1β and phagocytosis by monocytes were not affected by tacrolimus concentrations, whereas MPA did inhibit IL-1β production by 50%. Monocyte/macrophage polarization was shifted to an M2-like phenotype in the presence of tacrolimus, while MPA increased the expression of M2 surface markers, including CD163 and CD200R, on M1 macrophages. These results show that tacrolimus and MPA do not strongly affect monocyte function, apart from a change in macrophage polarization, to a clinically relevant degree.

BackgroundThe presence of monocyte-macrophage lineage cells in rejecting kidney transplants is associated with worse graft outcome. At present, it is still unclear how the monocyte-macrophage related responses develop after transplantation. Here, we studied the dynamics, phenotypic and functional characteristics of circulating monocytes during the first 6 months after transplantation and aimed to establish the differences between kidney transplant recipients and healthy individuals.MethodsPhenotype, activation status and cytokine production capacity of classical (CD14++CD16-), intermediate (CD14++CD16+) and non-classical (CD14+CD16++), monocytes were determined by flow cytometry in a cohort of 33 healthy individuals, 30 renal transplant recipients at transplantation, 19 recipients at 3 months and 16 recipients at 6 months after transplantation using a cross-sectional approach.ResultsThe percentage of both CD16+ monocyte subsets was significantly increased in transplant recipients compared to healthy individuals, indicative of triggered innate immunity (p≤0.039). Enhanced production capacity of tumor necrosis factor-α, interferon-γ and interleukin-1β was observed by monocytes at transplantation compared to healthy individuals. Remarkably, three months post-transplant, in presence of potent immunosuppressive drugs and despite improved kidney function, interferon-γ, tumor necrosis factor-α and interleukin-10 production capacity still remained significantly increased.ConclusionOur data demonstrate a skewed balance towards pro-inflammatory CD16+ monocytes that is present at the time of transplantation and retained for at least 6 months after transplantation. This shift could be one of the important drivers of early post-transplant cellular immunity.

BackgroundRenal tubular epithelial cells (TECs) are one of the main targets of inflammatory insults during interstitial nephritis and kidney transplant rejection. While Th1 cells are know to be essential in the pathogenesis of rejection, the role of Th17 is still under debate. We hypothesize that TECs modulate the outcome of rejection process by production of distinct chemokines and cytokines that determine the attraction of different T-cell subsets. Therefore, we studied differential effects of activated human renal epithelial cells on T-cell migration.MethodsHuman primary TECs were stimulated by IFN-γ and TNF-α in vitro. Chemokines and cytokines produced by activated TECs were measured using Luminex or ELISA. Chemotaxis assay was performed using activated peripheral blood mononuclear cells composed of CD4+CXCR3+ and CD4+CCR6+ T cells migrating towards stimulated and unstimulated TECs.ResultsWhile activated TECs secreted abundant amounts of the pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6 and IL-8, the T helper cell differentiation cytokines IL-1β, IL-12p70, IL-23 or TGF-β1 were not produced. The production of Th1 chemokines CXCL9, CXCL10 and CCL5 were significantly upregulated after TEC stimulation. In contrast, Th17 chemokine CCL20 could not be detected. Finally, activated TECs attracted significantly higher numbers of CD4+CXCR3+ T cells as compared to unstimulated TECs. No migration of CD4+CCR6+ T cells could be observed.ConclusionActivated primary renal tubular epithelial cells do not attract Th17 cells nor produce cytokines promoting Th17 cell differentiation in our experimental system mimicking the proinflammatory microenvironment of rejection.
