[Resumen] Este trabajo presenta el desarrollo de una aplicación software que hace uso del protocolo OPC UA para recoger los datos del sistema SCADA (del inglés Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) de un edificio bioclimático. Ese sistema recoge los datos de más de 700 sensores que monitorizan tanto las variables de los diferentes subsistemas que componen el edificio, entre ellos una máquina de frío solar o una microrred, como diversas variables climáticas necesarias para el correcto funcionamiento de los algoritmos de control del confort de los usuarios y de gestión energética del edificio. La principal funcionalidad de la aplicación es guardar en la nube los históricos dichas variables y permitir la interconexión y comunicación entre el sistema SCADA y los algoritmos de control desarrollados. [Abstract] This work presents the development of a software application that uses the OPC UA protocol to collect data from a SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system of a bioclimatic building. This system collects data from more than 700 sensors that monitor the variables of the different subsystems of the building, including a solar cooling machine or a microgrid, as well as various climatic variables. All of them are necessary for the correct operation of the developed control algorithms for users’comfort and energy management in the building. Therefore, the main functionality of the application is to store historical data of these variables in the cloud and to allow the interconnection and communication between the SCADA system and the control algorithms developed. Background: Mediterranean and low-fat diets are effective in the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease. We did a long-term randomised trial to compare the effects of these two diets in secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. Methods: The CORDIOPREV study was a single-centre, randomised clinical trial done at the Reina Sofia University Hospital in Córdoba, Spain. Patients with established coronary heart disease (aged 20–75 years) were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio by the Andalusian School of Public Health to receive a Mediterranean diet or a low-fat diet intervention, with a follow-up of 7 years. Clinical investigators (physicians, investigators, and clinical endpoint committee members) were masked to treatment assignment; participants were not. A team of dietitians did the dietary interventions. The primary outcome (assessed by intention to treat) was a composite of major cardiovascular events, including myocardial infarction, revascularisation, ischaemic stroke, peripheral artery disease, and cardiovascular death. This study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT00924937. Findings: From Oct 1, 2009, to Feb 28, 2012, a total of 1002 patients were enrolled, 500 (49·9%) in the low-fat diet group and 502 (50·1%) in the Mediterranean diet group. The mean age was 59·5 years (SD 8·7) and 827 (82·5%) of 1002 patients were men. The primary endpoint occurred in 198 participants: 87 in the Mediterranean diet group and 111 in the low-fat group (crude rate per 1000 person-years: 28·1 [95% CI 27·9–28·3] in the Mediterranean diet group vs 37·7 [37·5–37·9] in the low-fat group, log-rank p=0·039). Multivariable-adjusted hazard ratios (HRs) of the different models ranged from 0·719 (95% CI 0·541–0·957) to 0·753 (0·568–0·998) in favour of the Mediterranean diet. These effects were more evident in men, with primary endpoints occurring in 67 (16·2%) of 414 men in the Mediterranean diet group versus 94 (22·8%) of 413 men in the low-fat diet group (multiadjusted HR 0·669 [95% CI 0·489–0·915], log-rank p=0·013), than in 175 women for whom no difference was found between groups. Interpretation: In secondary prevention, the Mediterranean diet was superior to the low-fat diet in preventing major cardiovascular events. Our results are relevant to clinical practice, supporting the use of the Mediterranean diet in secondary prevention. We analyse the coins minted in the ancient Phoenician colony of Malaca and discovered in the city of Suel, which can be located in the Cerro del Castillo of the Malaga town of Fuengirola. With a chronology including the last decades of the 3rd century until the final years of the 1st century BC, this set consists of 66 coins, most of them unpublished, which include the totality of Malaca emissions, as well as all the denominations coined in this city. We can also add to them another eight coins from different sites of its ager, one of them not published until now. This study allows us to verify that these findings follow the general tone established for this mint not only in Malaca itself but also within other settlements, thus contributing to increase the volume of coins from the Malaca mint known up to now. Estudiamos las monedas acuñadas en la antigua colonia fenicia de Malaca descubiertas en la ciudad de Suel, la cual cabe situar en el Cerro del Castillo de la localidad malagueña de Fuengirola. Con una cronología que comprende desde las últimas décadas del siglo III hasta los años finales del siglo I a. C., este conjunto está formado por 66 ejemplares, la mayor parte inéditos conservados en colecciones privadas, que incluyen la totalidad de las emisiones malacitanas conocidas, así como todos los valores acuñados en dicha urbe. A éstos podemos sumar otros ocho procedentes de distintos yacimientos de su ager, uno de ellos no publicado hasta ahora. Dicho estudio nos permite comprobar que estos hallazgos siguen la tónica establecida para esta ceca no solo en la propia Malaca, sino también en otros asentamientos, contribuyendo a incrementar así mismo el volumen de numerario malacitano conocido hasta el momento.

Estudiamos la situación sanitaria durante el prolongado asedio de Baler con ocasión de la guerra de independencia de Filipinas y posterior intervención norteamericana (1898-1899), contemplando tanto los medios materiales y humanos de que disponían como las heridas y enfermedades a las que hubieron de hacer frente. No cabe duda que estas últimas se vieron favorecidas por las deficientes condiciones higiénicas de la iglesia en la que se refugiaron y, sobre todo, la mala alimentación que también examinamos dada su relación con estos aspectos médicos, de tal modo que, al igual que aconteció al resto del Ejército español que combatía en Filipinas o en Cuba, fueron las enfermedades las responsables de la mayor parte de los fallecimientos al causar más bajas que los propios sitiadores. We study the sanitary situation during Baler's long siege within The Philippines war of independence and the later North American intervention (1898-1899), contemplating not only the material and human resources they had but also the wounds and diseases they had to face. Undoubtedly, the latter were favoured by the deficient hygienic conditions of the church where they found shelter and, especially, by the bad food supply which is also examined here due to its relation with these medical aspects. As a result, as it happened to the rest of the Spanish Army fighting in The Philippines or in Cuba, the diseases were the main cause for most of the deaths here, outnumbering those caused by the besiegers.
