This article investigated an occupational chemical poisoning incident that occurred in a certain place in Guangdong Province in September 2020, detected the air at the scene, and analyzed the clinical data of the poisoned patients. The peripheral blood methanol concentrations of the three patients were 307.76 mg/L, 354.80 mg/L and 454.14 mg/L when they were admitted to the hospital. The raw and auxiliary materials were analyzed for volatile organic components. Methyl acetate was detected in the finished glue, synthetic resin and compound machine post glue in the glue room, and the relative percentages were 23.05%, 32.79% and 31.68%, respectively. Through comprehensive analysis, it was judged that this incident was an acute occupational methyl acetate poisoning incident, and 3 workers were poisoned.本文调查2020年9月广东省某地发生的一起职业性化学中毒事件，检测现场空气，分析中毒患者临床资料。3名患者入院时外周血甲醇浓度分别为307.76、354.80和454.14 mg/L；对现场原辅材料进行挥发性有机成分分析，在调胶房成品胶、合成树脂和复合机岗位胶水均检出乙酸甲酯，相对百分比分别为23.05%、32.79%和31.68%。通过综合分析判断本次事件是一起职业性急性乙酸甲酯中毒事件，3名作业工人中毒。.

Aiming at the high demand of close-range photogrammetry for the object control points and the inconvenient carrying of digital camera to take photogrammetry in the field, a method of detail survey based on PhotoModeler Scanner software is proposed. USB camera combines with the centering rod, USB camera captures image data, Total station obtains the coordinates of the centering rod, the coordinate of projective center is calculated by using the coordinate of the centering rod, PhotoModeler Scanner software processes image data and coordinate data. Ultimately, image stereo measurement of the no object control point was realized. The experimental results showed that the error of the plane position of the solved target point was less than 10cm at a shooting distance of about 10m, and it met the accuracy requirements of detail survey. Therefore, the method can reduce the workload of field detail survey, reduce the cost and volume of the photographic equipment, and has certain application value.

The liver has a very special dual blood supply, including the portal vein (65%~75%) and hepatic artery (25%~35%). The hepatic veins returns blood to the systemic circulation via the portal vein, and hepatic artery after hepatic sinusoidal confluence. The lesions on the hepatic vein and its branches can cause ischemia and hypoxia or obstruction of the drainage system, portal hypertension, upper gastrointestinal variceal bleeding, hepatic encephalopathy, and so on. Clinically, hepatic vascular diseases are relatively rare, so the diagnosis and treatment are relatively difficult. Lid wiper epitheliopathy (LWE) has received more attention during the diagnosis and treatment of the dry eye. However, its causes and pathogenesis remain unclear. We aimed to explore the etiology of LWE by analyzing the association between the severity of LWE and different anatomical and tissue morphological examination characteristics using confocal microscopy on eyes with dry eye syndrome.We recruited 350 patients with LWE and dry eye syndrome (350 eyes). We examined the eyes with lid-wiper staining, conjunctival staining, a comprehensive ocular surface exam using the OCULUS keratography 5M, conjunctival impression cytology, and confocal microscopy observations. We analyzed the associations between each indicator and the LWE staining score.According to the Spearman's analysis, the LWE staining score was weakly associated with thickness of the lipid layer (r=0.1737, p=0.0005) and severity of Meibomian gland dysfunction (r=0.2026, p0.0001); and strongly associated with staging of conjunctival impression cytology (r= -0.7694, p0.0001). Pearson's correlation analysis indicated that, LWE staining score was moderately associated with age (r=0.4165, p0.0001), tear meniscus height (r=0 -0.4019, p0.0001), and NIKBUT-first (noninvasive keratography tear film breakup time) (r= -0.5108, p0.0001); and strongly associated with NIKBUT-average (r= -0.7820, p0.0001) and ocular staining score (r=0.6113, p0.00001). Some patients presented abnormal blinking. We observed deeper lesion depths and more holes and fissures in the lid wipers of patients with more severe LWE than in patients with milder LWE.Abnormal friction factors caused by insufficient lubrication between the lid wiper area and the ocular surface seem to influence the development and/or the severity of LWE. Aggravation of LWE further increases the frictional damage between the lid wiper and the ocular surface.

An accident of mixed acute gas poisoning accident happened in a place in GuangDong in March 2018. To investigates three poisoning workers and related clinical data were summarized., we tested the field air and analyzed the accident reasons. This event due to the staff lack of occupational protection awareness and illegal operation. The working environment must be ventilated before limited space operation, and must be sure that the limited space is safe by toxic gas monitoring. Background Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is endogenously generated from L-cysteine (L-Cys) by the enzymes cystathionine-β-synthase (CBS) and cystathionine-γ-Lyase (CSE). Hydrogen sulfide is also produced from D-cysteine (D-Cys) by D-Amino acid oxidase (DAO). Methods The H2S production was measured by the methylene blue assay. The expression of DAO was investigated by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. The short-circuit current (Isc) was recorded using the Ussing chamber technique. Key Results The epithelium in rat jejunum possesses DAO, and generates H2S. D-cysteine, originally used as a negative control for L-Cys, significantly increases the H2S release, which is inhibited by I2CA, an inhibitor of DAO. In vitro study by Ussing chamber technique reveals that D-Cys decreases the Isc across the epithelium of the rat jejunum and enhances the Na+-coupled L-alanine transport. Conclusions & Inferences A novel pathway for the production of H2S by DAO exists in rat jejunum.

We report a novel HBB: c.114G>C mutation in a Chinese family. This mutation resulted in a β37(C3)Trp→Cys amino acid substitution and was synonymous with Hb Kent, a hemoglobin (Hb) variant that was reported exclusively in patients of European descent. Though Hb Kent has a normal oxygen affinity and molecular stability, it has a characteristic dual variant appearance on cellulose acetate electrophoresis (CAE) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) caused by the posttranslational modification of cysteine. We also report the phenotypic expression of this variant when coinherited with the Southeast Asian (- -SEA) double α-globin gene deletion.

Studies on bimatoprost were performed with two objectives: (i) to determine whether bimatoprost possesses hair growth-stimulating properties beyond eyelash hypertrichosis and (ii) to investigate the biodisposition of bimatoprost in skin for the first time. Bimatoprost, at the dose used clinically for eyelash growth (0.03%) and given once daily for 14 days, increased pelage hair growth in C57/black 6 mice. This occurred as a much earlier onset of new hair growth in shaved mice and the time taken to achieve complete hair regrowth, according to photographic documentation and visual assessment. Bimatoprost biodisposition in the skin was determined at three concentrations: 0.01%, 0.03% and 0.06%. Dose-dependent C(max) values were obtained (3.41, 6.74, 12.3 μg/g tissue), and cutaneous bimatoprost was well maintained for 24 h following a single dose. Bimatoprost was recovered from the skin only as the intact molecule, with no detectable levels of metabolites. Thus, bimatoprost produces hypertrichosis as the intact molecule.

Cellular manufacturing system is a submission of group technology wherein are different machines or processes have been combined into cells, each of which is devoted to the fabrication of a part, product family, or limited group of families. Cell formation is necessary for implementation of cellular manufacturing. Many of methods exist for cell formation problem solving. Some of these methods are applying in traditional cell design, in fixed routines and others are applying in dynamic cells environment. In this review article, critical assessment of various metaheuristic techniques which utilized in cell formation problem solving is made through extensive literature review. Various existing models for cell formation are argued consequently and directions for future work are presented. 

Scheduling occurs in every organization without considering the nature of its activities. In this regard, numerous scholars have attempted to schedule via divergent methods including classical scheduling, genetic algorithm, neural network and fuzzy logic and so on. Studies in manufacturing scheduling mostly deal with priority rules without any consideration of the system states. An appropriate scheduling leads to significant enhancement of fairness in job scheduling. The term fairness can be transformed into a specific selection of job weights. There is no method of scheduling in which priority, time action (duration) and time stamp of jobs have simultaneously been considered. But the proposed method of scheduling can enhance the efficiency and reliability of manufacturing systems. To fulfill this target, first and foremost, the normalize method should be performed. This method allows data (time stamp, time action, priority) of jobs on different scales to be compared by bringing them to a common scale. Secondly, the jobs should be arranged based on three criteria which are priority, time action and time stamp. This sorting algorithm is programmed via MATLAB Distributed Computing Server (DCS) software. Eventually, to evaluate the proposed method of scheduling, simulation is operated. The simulated algorithm shows that applying the proposed method of scheduling increases the efficiency of simulated scheduler in comparison with applying the common method of scheduling. Besides the mentioned simulated algorithm, there is a mathematical proof to show the enhancement of reliability.

Artificial Neural Network (ANN) approach is a fascinating mathematical tool, which can be used to simulate a wide variety of complex scientific and engineering problems. Due to its highly reliable prediction quality, the usage of it is growing rigorously and had already become an ultimate tool for various applications in the field of engineering. In this study an ANN technique was used to predict friction coefficient of roller burnishing AL6061 for two orientations which is parallel burnishing orientation (PB) and cross burnishing orientation (CB). The input parameters were defined by widths of roller curvature (7.5mm, 8mm and 8.5mm), burnishing speeds (110rpm, 230rpm, 330rpm and 490rpm), and burnishing forces (155.06N, 197.45N, 239.83N and 282.22N) while the output parameter was friction coefficient. 173 data was used for training the ANN and another 115 data was used to test the ANN. 60 different configurations of ANN was trained by using 6 different training algorithms. It was found that feed-forward back-propagation network with 15 neurons in hidden layer that was trained by Levenberg-Marquardt training algorithm gave the best result when compared to other training algorithms used. From the results it was found that the training performance and prediction performance was 0.000809 and 0.710 respectively. From this study, it became obvious that the selected ANN with the configuration and training algorithm proved to be the most suitable among the other ANN investigated for similar applications.

An open reading frame (ORF) with 963 nucleotides from Paenibacillus campinasensis BL11 was cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli. It encodes a pectate lyase (EC 4.2.2.2) of 35.6 kDa, denominated Pel-BL11. The recombinant Pel-BL11 was fused with His-tag and purified. An optimal activity of 1623 IU mg−1 was exhibited at 50°C, pH 10. Significant activities of Pel-BL11 are demonstrated between 40 and 70°C and from a pH of 7–11. The observed half-lives are 103 min at 70°C and 288 min at 40°C. Compared to other published acid and alkaline pectate lyases, Pel-BL11 demonstrated exceptional thermostability and wider pH adaptability. Temperature effects on the cleavage of the pectate α-1,4-glycosidic bond by Pel-BL11 were examined. Continuous cleavage occurred for the first 3 h at 30 and 50°C. However, at 70°C, the majority of the cleavage occurred during the first 10 min. Weight loss in gampi and paper mulberry fibres after enzyme treatment validate the potential of this treatment in fibre degumming.

Water scarcity is the major limiting factor to crop production in arid and semi-arid regions. The crop production water footprint (CPWF) and its influence factors of Shandong province during 1996-2015 was calculated and revealed in current paper. The results showed that the annual CPWF of the province was 173.1 G m3, blue, green and grey water footprint accounted for 12.7%, 64.6% and 22.7% respectively. The water footprint of grain and fruit crops accounted for more than 80% of the total water footprint. The two decided the changes in the water footprint of the study area. The CPWF intensity of the province was 2329.2 mm and showed a decreasing trend over time. The planting structure and the degree of regional economic development can directly affect the crop sowing water footprint of regional crops, in which the control of the proportion of high water consumption crops and the irrigation rate of cultivated land is an effective means for its near regulation. The results of this study can provide reference for regional agricultural water resources management.

Measurement of electrical conductivity by time domain reflectometry (TDR) requires knowledge of the source step voltage, which is often implicitly accounted for in the measured reflection coefficient. Errors may arise, however, from imperfect amplitude calibration when transforming the voltage signal into the reflection coefficient signal. This instrument error was identified as a considerable source of error in addition to cable resistance for TDR electrical conductivity measurements. The effect of the instrument error due to imperfect amplitude calibration was theoretically examined by the direct current circuit model and experimentally verified. The instrument error resulted in an overestimation of electrical conductivity while the cable resistance led to an underestimation. We clarified that the series resistors model for correction of cable resistance is accurate if the measured reflection coefficient is corrected for the instrument error. A calibration (correction) method for the measured reflection coefficient was proposed to account for both the instrument error and the effect of cable resistance, leading to a simple, accurate, and theoretically sound procedure for TDR electrical conductivity measurements.

We previously described a novel densovirus [Myzus persicae nicotianae densovirus (MpnDV)] infecting M. persicae nicotianae (Hemiptera: Aphididae) with 34% prevalence. This single-stranded DNA virus has a 5480-nucleotide ambisense genome and belongs to the Densovirinae subfamily within the family Parvoviridae. In the present study, we estimated the genetic diversity of MpnDV using partial nonstructural protein (NS) and capsid protein (VP) gene sequences from 10 locations in China. First, we identified MpnDV-positive samples by amplifying a 445-bp fragment with primers MpDVF/MpDVR. Subsequently, we amplified and sequenced COI genes with primers MpCOIF/ MpCOIR, and partial NS and VP sequences with primers MpnDVF1/MpnDVR1. The respective 655-, 1461-, and 423-bp COI, NS, and VP fragments were used to analyze the genetic diversity of MpnDV using MEGA 6.0 and DnaSP 5.0. The high level of identity shared by all COI sequences (>99%) suggested that the aphids sampled were of the same species, and indicated population homogeneity across the 10 locations investigated. The nucleotide diversity of MpnDV sequences (0.0020 ± 0.0025) was significantly higher than that of the COI genes (0.0002 ± 0.0005). The pairwise fixation index for MpnDV was 0.832, and the total gene flow was 0.05. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that the MpnDV haplotypes clustered according to geographical location, except for those from the Liaoning and Shanxi provinces. In conclusion, MpnDV demonstrated a low level of gene flow and high genetic diversity, suggesting that it is vertically transmitted, and implying that endosymbiotic viruses could be used as markers in studies of insect population genetics.

Methods accounting for cable resistance in time domain reflectometry (TDR) based electrical conductivity measurements remain controversial, and the effect of TDR recording time has been underrated when long cables are used. A comprehensive full waveform model and the direct current (DC) analysis were used to show the correct method for taking cable resistance into account and guidelines for selecting proper recording time. The Castiglione-Shouse scaling method was found to be incorrect because the effect of cable resistance on the steady-state reflection coefficient is nonlinear. To account for cable resistance, the series resistors model is theoretically sound and should be used. The characteristic impedance of the lead cable has a frequency-dependent increase due to cable resistance, resulting in a rising step pulse and multiple reflections within the cable section. Hence, reaching the steady state takes much longer time than conventionally thought when long cables are used, in particular at very low and very high electrical conductivities. To determine the electrical conductivity accurately, the recording time should be taken after 10 multiple reflections within the probe and three multiple reflections within the lead cable.

The aim of this study was to investigate the neuroprotective effects of ketamine during acute spinal cord injury in rats. Sprague Dawley (SD) rats (N = 70) were randomly divided into three groups: sham-operated (N = 10), control (N = 30), and treatment (N = 30) groups. The moderate spinal cord injury model was established. After injury, the sham-operated group received no drug, the treatment group received intraperitoneal ketamine injections, and the control group received intraperitoneal normal saline injections. Serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and spinal cord malondialdehyde (MDA) were assessed, and nerve cell apoptosis was evaluated in each group at varying time points. After spinal cord injury, TNF-α, IL-6, and MDA levels, and the number of TUNEL-positive cells among 2500 cells significantly increased (P < 0.05). Further, compared with the control group, the treatment group showed significantly lower TNF-α, IL-6, and MDA levels, and fewer TUNEL-positive cells among 2500 cells at each time point (P < 0.05). Our data indicate that ketamine exerts a neuroprotective effect on injured spinal cord.

Different computer-aided systems, which are used in specific product lifecycle stages, have different requirements on product geometry representation. Non-manifold and multi-dimensional geometries are also needed besides two-manifold solid models. Traditional geometric modeling systems, which usually use B-rep or CSG solid models, have limitations to accommodate these diversified requirements. In addition, in an integrated product development environment, to share data as well as to propagate changes across applications, a unified feature modeling scheme, which can support different geometric modeling requirements uniformly, is preferred. In this paper, a unified, cellular topology based feature modeling scheme is proposed. Its model structure and usage in integrating application models are described.

Feature-based modeling is an accepted approach to include high-level geometric information in product models as well as to facilitate a parameterized and constraint-based product development process. Moreover, features are suitable as an intermediate layer between a product’s knowledge model and its geometry model for effective and efficient information management. To achieve this, traditional feature technology must be extended to align with the approach of knowledge-based reasoning. In this paper, based on a previously proposed unified feature modeling scheme, feature definitions are extended to support knowledge-based reasoning. In addition, a communication mechanism between the knowledge-based system and the feature model is established. The methods to embed and use knowledge for information consistency control are described.
