The possibilities of parameterization of microstructures such as SHG2, SHG4, SHG6, SHG10, SHG12, SHgd15, SHgd25, SHgd45, SHgd90, SHgd180, SHgd360 according to GOST (State All-union standard) 3443–87 based on the microstructures of cast iron with different diameter spheroidal graphite are shown. It is proposed to use the function of the density distribution of graphite inclusions in size for the classification of cast iron microstructures with spheroidal graphite. It is shown that density function of graphite inclusions can be used as a criterion of classification of microstructures of cast iron with spheroidal graphite, that offers new opportunities for the quantitative analysis of relations «microstructure-property» for cast iron with spheroidal graphite.

Numerical simulations of the process of obtaining a cast steel of bearing cases were performed for two options of technical processing. Three-dimensional motion dynamics ofsteel was calculated in the gate-casting system, three-dimensional temperature fields and densities in the process of casting were calculated as well. The possibilities of computer simulation were shown in order to find the best technical processing in the foundry production.

Purpose of the article is modeling of process of cast iron flowing in the gating systems used in vacuum-film molds. On the basis of the received results it is possible to deduce on great opportunities of the developed method of choice the gating systems used at production of castings by vacuum-film method.

The short description of mathematical apparatus for the computer system AeroPro-1 developed for calculation of aerodynamic characteristics of the objects moving in air environments is presented.

The paper proposes a mathematical apparatus for image processing of a cast-iron microstructure of a pearlite class that has casually distributed graphite inclusions in the structure the software has been developed and it allows to determine statistical functions concerning distribution of graphite inclusion characteristics according to areas, perimeters and distances between inclusions. The paper shows that computer processing of gray pig-iron microstructure image makes it possible to classify microstructures on the basis of statistical distribution of a graphite phase which are considered as indiscernible while applying conventional metallographic methods and it has practical significance for investigation of the interrelations – «workability – cast iron microstructure».

One of the variants of optimization of the castings production technologies with the help of multiple-processor technologies of supercomputer SKIF is presented.

The model for slag smelting regime has been developed. This model makes it possible to calculate phosphorus distribution according to slag composition, initial content of phosphorus in metal, temperature and time of lime efficiency. The model can be used for optimization of quantity and composition of slag , decrease of lime consumption and optimization of slag regime.

A three-dimensional mathematical model for numerical modeling of burning process intended for a brick charge. The model presupposes natural air convection inside of the charge for tunnel ovens. Computer modeling of burning process for a charge fragment by specified temperature curve has been carried out. Calculations of temperature field taking place in the area of charge fragment are presented in the paper.

On the basis of Navier-Stokes equations a mathematical model for calculation of a trajectory of non-metalic particle motion in a gate system is proposed in the paper. The model takes into account three-dimensional nature of fast-track field and buoyancy force. Taking various gate systems as an example and using mathematical model it makes it possible to calculate number of slag particles passing through the gate system in casting.

The authors are developing the new approach, based on the cellwise automatic modelling of the continuous steel casting process, allowing to calculate and visualize on computer the threedimensional process of cast slugs production in real industrial conditions.

The computer calculations of cast iron flow in industrial foundry goods “Radiator** with different constructive elements of gating systems are carried out. The distributions of total pulse of melt flow on components of velocity vector are calculated. There are offered the characteristics of melt flow for choice of the optimal gating systems constructions.

The article describes the structure of the programme project for three-dimensions modelling of the cooling melt flow. It presents the data on filling and crystallization of the Radiator casting manufactured at MZOO. These data was calculated with the help of a developed computer system.
