Keeping pace with facets of nanotechnology and its applications in the field of development of smart sensor module polycrystalline ferrite material plays significant role in development of sensing material. Hence, MgZn and NiZn polycrystalline ferrite have been synthesized by co-precipitation method. The formation of the materials is confirmed by characterization by X-ray powder diffraction, FTIR absorption. From the results of X-ray diffraction investigation, formation of single phase compositions is confirmed. The resulted structure is FCC with 311 as a prominent reflection. The average particle size obtains by using Scherrer relation and the range from 40 nm to 48 nm. The existence of the nanoparticles results into increase of the surface area required to favour adsorption mechanism. FTIR spectrographic studies, reveals the existence of various modes of the lattice vibration. These materials were used for development of the sensor for monitoring of Alcohol gas and temperature. The detection of alcohol and temperature is essential in various industries and for environmental prediction as well. The sensing elements of the sensors are developed using thick film technology and alcohol and temperature sensitive electrical properties are investigated. An operating temperature was optimized to 135 0C for gas sensing application. Deploying glass and ceramic substrate the sensor is developed. Electrical resistance of the sensor (Rg) is measured for alcohol gas and environment temperature and it shows decreasing trend with increase in the sensing parameters. Deploying this material smart electronic system is design using advance microcontroller. From, the results of this investigation, it can be concluded that, the compositions under investigation can be suitably used for deployment of Smart Sensor for sensing of alcohol and temperature.

India today is the one of the world’s largest producer of eggs and broiler meat. The poultry industry in India has undergone a major shift in structure and operation during the last two decades transforming from a mere backyard activity into a major industry with the presence of a large number of integrated players. Present study was conducted to examine the economic and potential profitability assessment of poultry farming. The study was based on the data collected from the primary source. The results revealed thatthe total fixed cost in RIR breed and Kadaknath breed were estimated to be Rs. 55.66 per bird and Rs. 50.61 per bird, respectively. Feed cost was the major cost item accounting 57 per cent of the total cost. BCR, IRR and PI of the project were 1.56, 57 per cent and 2.57, respectively. Similarly, NPW of the project was also positive. Project recovered its initial investment in one year one month 28 days. It shows that, this project is financially feasible.

This study presents an analysis of daily field-scale soil-moisture (SM) variations, measured using the COsmic-ray Soil Moisture Observing System (COSMOS), over a tropical monsoon site (IITM, Pune) in India, for the period 2017–2020. Being located in the core zone of the Indian summer monsoon, the daily field-scale SM observations at COSMOS-IITM provide an unique opportunity to understand the SM response to monsoon precipitation variations on sub-seasonal, seasonal and interannual time-scales. In addition to the COSMOS-IITM observations, we also evaluated SM variations over this location using satellite, reanalysis and model products for the same period. An important result from our analysis reveals the presence of biweekly (time-scale ~ 10–20 days) and low-frequency intra-seasonal (time-scale ~ 30–60 days) variations in the field-scale SM, which are linked to the dominant modes of Indian summer monsoon subseasonal variability. In particular, we find a pronounced enhancement of the low-frequency signal of SM variations during the 2019 monsoon which was characterized by abnormally excess precipitation and prolongation of rains well beyond the summer monsoon season, in contrast to 2018 monsoon. Moreover, this study highlights a longer persistence of SM memory time-scale (about 60 days) during 2019 as compared to 2017, 2018 and 2020. The validation of coarser resolution data sets revealed that GLDAS and ERA5 reasonably capture a range of observed field-scale SM variabilities over COSMOS-IITM site.

Alkaline phosphatases (ALP, EC 3.1.3.1) is widely present in nature, and are found in many organisms. Alkaline phosphatase is an enzyme which catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphate monoesters. ALP is located on the luminal surface of the epithelial cells of the ducts, it is released into milk as part of the plasma membrane during the formation of milk fat globules.

Percutaneous balloon tricuspid valvotomy was successfully performed in a 45-year-old female with congenitally corrected transposition of great arteries with severe rheumatic left atrioventricular (tricuspid) valve stenosis. Technical modifications in the standard procedure were made keeping in mind the left-handed ventricular loop, left and anterior aorta, wedged pulmonary valve between the interatrial septum and the mitral valve with deviation of the atrial septum away from the ventricular septum, side-by-side positioned ventricles with an added superoinferior obliquity produced by excessive tilting, and an abnormal orientation of ventricular mass in relation to the thorax, with the apex pointing slightly rightwards. A final valve area of 1.4 cm(2) and a fall in the peak/mean left atrial pressures from 37/32 mm Hg to 13/10 mm Hg were achieved without complications. This case of percutaneous transvenous commissurotomy is unique in view of the rarity of the combination of this congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease and successful commissurotomy in such an unusual cardiac anatomy using the Inoue technique.

Ancient historic wells or boudies, built by Adil Shahi kings in Bijapur are the huge sources of water in the drought place of northern Karnataka (India). They stand neglected and polluted. Masabi Boudi and Narasimha Temple well are two wells selected for the study. We have studied the water quality in terms of physico-chemical, biochemical, phytoplanktonic and bacteriological properties depthwise. Masabi Boudi exhibited a rare phenomenon of vertical inverse thermal stratification whereas in Narasimha Temple well winter thermal stratification broke in summer and monsoon. Phytoplankton occurrence was rare in Masabi Boudi. Desmids showed their pollution tolerance throughout the study in Masabi Boudi. Glucose, protein, creatinine, urea and uric acid in the water reads the utrophication, which resulted the growth of E-coli. Algal maximum was followed soon after the E-coli were in excess in both the wells. Chlorides, nitrates and nitrogenous content stated the rich nutritional status. The self purification of water takes place naturally as a quality control. There is a natural symmetry in the biological science between bacterioplankton and phytoplankton and high enrichment with organic matter provided a measure of stabilization to this eco-system. In all, Masabi Boudi shows better water quality than Narasimha Temple well.

Frequent itemset mining is the technique used mostly in field of data mining like finance, health care system. We are focusing on methodologies for extracting the useful knowledge from given data by using frequent itemset mining. Most important use of FIM is customer segmentation in marketing, shopping cart analyzes, management relationship, web usage mining, and player tracking and so on. Association rule is for finding the frequently occuring group of item in shopping cart. In this paper, we are investigating FIM techniques applicability on the Map Reduce platform. In FIM, we are using two parallel algorithms, Dist-eclat and Big-FIM algorithms. Where, Dist-eclat algorithm is mainly work on speed purpose while Big-FIM algorithms mainly focuses on optimization on big-data‥ So for mining large amount of datasets, two new methods are introduced: First, Dist-Eclat focuses on speed while second Big-FIM is running on really huge datasets for optimization. In our paper we are showing the scalability of our methods. Using these methods, considering customer behavioral analysis of buying product, we are giving suggestion with the customer choosen product, so the retailer business benefits is maximized at high level.

A 20-year-old man was referred to us for assessment of a 1 year history of dyspnoea on exertion. At the age of 9 years, he had had two episodes of migratory polyarthritis suggestive of rheumatic fever. Cardiovascular examin ation showed a grade III/VI pansystolic murmur at the apex (see video). We noticed he had painless, correctable deformities of his hands and feet (fi gure A and B). He did not know his hands were deformed. His joints were enlarged but there was no evidence of active joint infl ammation or functional impairment, and no subcutaneous nodules. The erythro cyte sedimentation rate Lancet 2013; 381: 2108

The aim of this work was to determine the grain size of the sediments and estimation of hydraulic conductivity. A total 20 sediment samples were collected from 13 different locations from both the bank of Panzara river channel, Dhule district (Maharashtra). Geologically, this region belongs to Deccan Volcanic Province of upper Cretaceous to lower Eocene age. Weight percentage frequencies and cumulative weight percentage frequencies of the sediment samples were computed. The grain size parameters like graphic mean (Mz), graphic standard deviation (ϭ 1), graphic skewness (SK) and graphic kurtosis (KG) were also computed. The coefficient of curvature (Cc), coefficient of uniformity (Cu) and hydraulic conductivity (Hc/K) were also calculated. The grain size results showed that sediments are moderate to poor sorted.

A 63-year-old, nonalcoholic man presented with abdominal distension, edema of the lower extremities, and weight loss of 6 months duration. Examination revealed a cachectic and icteric patient with elevated jugular venous pressure. Ultrasonography of abdomen revealed a large hyperechoic mass in the right lobe of the liver infiltrating the intrahepatic part of the inferior vena cava. Transthoracic echocardiography revealed a mass of size 2.73 9 4.8 cm occupying the right ventricular cavity with no intrinsic mobility and without any right ventricular outflow tract gradient. Modified subcostal view taken to visualize the inferior vena cava showed tumor thrombi along the vessel wall. There was no mass in the right atrium (RA), although the right atrial wall appeared thick (Fig. 1). Contrastenhanced thoracoabdominal computerized tomographic imaging confirmed the presence of a well-defined lobulated moderately enhancing mass lesion in the right lobe of liver on arterial phase, approximately measuring 5 9 7 cm. Cardiac computerized tomography demonstrated a nodular subcentimeter homogeneous right ventricular mass infiltrating the ventricular wall, tricuspid valve, and interventricular septum (Fig. 2). The differential diagnoses in this case were thrombus, Loeffler syndrome, and tumor with metastasis of hepatic malignancy to the right ventricle (RV) being the most likely possibility. Computerized tomography-guided aspiration cytology of the hepatic mass confirmed the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The patient underwent two cycles of systemic chemotherapy; however, he subsequently developed progressive hepatic failure and died of the same after 3 months. The patient’s next of kin denied consent for post mortem.

Twelve pearl millet hybrids were evaluated along with two checks (RHRBH 9808 and AHB 1666) at three locations in a Randomized Block Design, with three replications for identification of superior hybrids based on standard heterosis. The magnitude of standard heterosis varied from cross to cross for all the characters studied. High standard heterosis was observed for number of effective tillers per plant, grain yield per plant, ear head girth and number of grains per cm2; while moderate to low heterosis over standard checks was found for plant height (cm), 1000-grain weight (g), ear head length (cm), total number of tillers per plant, fodder yield per plant (g), days to maturity and days to 50% flowering. The highest positive standard heterosis for grain yield per plant was 70.81%. Heterosis for grain yield might have resulted from heterosis for its component traits, mainly, number effective tiller per plant, ear head girth and number of grains per cm2. The crosses viz., MS 99111 A × AIB 214, MS 88004 A × R 451-1, MS 94111 A × IC 1153, MS 88004 A × PPC 7 and MS 88004 A × AIB 214 were promising on the basis of mean performance and standard heterosis.
