В докладе приводятся результаты методологической компиляции изучения двух тем, связанных с прояснением особенностей явления фантастического в конкретный период развития французской литературы, а также в творчестве конкретного автора — Проспера Мериме. Первая часть посвящена реферативному изложению разных концепций фантастического в литературе с целью выявить характерные черты поэтики такого рода художественной реальности в связи с эстетической установкой творчества французских романтиков. Вторая часть — прояснение функции фантастического в новеллах Мериме «Венера Илльская» и «Локис» с помощью анализа их сюжетной и композиционной структуры. При интерпретации используется теоретический аппарат, сформированный в первой части исследования. This article presents the results of methodological consideration of the two topics related to the features of the fantastic in a particular period of the development of French literature and in the short stories of Prosper Mérimée. The first part is devoted to the abstract presentation of various concepts of the fantastic in literature in order to identify the common features of the poetics of this kind of fiction reality in connection with the aesthetic setting of the writing of the French Romantics. The second part is a clarification of the function of the fantastic in the short stories of Prosper Mérimée “La Vénus d’Ille” and “Locis” by analyzing the plot and compositional structure of these texts, in the interpretation of which we use the theoretical categories, formed in the first part of the research.
