The present study analyzes the evolution of the divorces in Romania over the period 1992-2023, aiming to investigate the social, economic, and cultural factors that have shaped family behaviors and decisions regarding the dissolution of marriages. Using an approach based on official statistical data, the research explores significant differences between urban and rural areas, identifying divergent and convergent trends regarding divorce rates, influenced by modernization, urbanization, and economic crises. The study also examines the impact of economic migration and access to education on family behavior, highlighting how these elements have contributed to structural changes in marriages and divorces in different regions of the country. The analysis focuses on factors such as the age group of spouses, marriage duration, number of minor children, and the geographical structure of divorces, providing a deep understanding of the social dynamics and changes related to the stability of marital relationships. Another important aspect of the research is the evolution of the woman's role in marriage, influenced by increased economic independence and changes in the social perception of marriage. Additionally, regional disparities are discussed, varying depending on cultural traditions, urbanization level, and the economic development of counties, as well as common challenges faced by families in different areas of Romania. The study emphasizes the complexity of divorces, offering a comprehensive perspective on current and future trends, as well as the factors that influence marriage and divorce decisions, within a constantly changing social and economic context. The research conclusions will contribute to a deeper understanding of this dynamic phenomenon, as well as to the formulation of public policies better adapted to the contemporary realities of Romanian society. Tourism activity represents one of the most dynamic and defining activities for today's society. In this context, knowing the perception and motivation of potential tourists visiting a museum attraction represents an essential approach with implications for the sustainable development of tourist destinations. The research methodology used in the present study involved the complementary use of survey methods for data acquisition and multicriteria analysis to identify and establish relationships between perception and motivation. The results obtained from the present study show a synthetic picture regarding the perception and motivation of the tourists who visited the Crișului Land Museum from Oradea, Romania, on the one hand, and the relationships that were established between perception and motivation, on the other hand, thus confirming the research hypothesis that perception influences motivation. The perception of tourists after visiting the Crișului Land Museum in Oradea is determined by personal and interpersonal reasons, as well as by the way they perceive the visited site. The study of ethnic communities has aroused and continues to arouse the interest of specialists from various scientific disciplines, geographers, historians, sociologists, jurists, political scientists, etc. This study aims to highlight, from a geographical perspective, the evolution of ethnic communities, respectively the ethnic homogeneity or heterogeneity in Bihor County in the first years of the 3rd millennium. For this purpose, the evolution of the communities of Romanians, Hungarians, Roma and Slovaks was analyzed in the censuses of 2002, 2011 and 2021 in order to be able to capture the changes occurring, from a numerical point of view, within these ethnic communities. The ethnic homogeneity index was also calculated, which highlights those areas where there is ethnic homogeneity and those with ethnic heterogeneity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The countries of Eastern Europe represent a particular case from the demographic and economic point of view, as their demographic transition overlapped the economic development process. This represents a major challenge for the sustainability of their health and pension systems and has resulted in reforms and measures to support economic growth and increase the birth rate. Two categories of countries from Eastern Europe were analysed, Romania and Poland as representatives of the ex-Communist countries that joined the European Union and the Russian Federation as representative of the former Soviet Union. The Russian Federation experienced the most profound changes after 1990, being the only country in the Eastern bloc that is close to the generational replacement threshold, the only country with a positive migration balance, but also the only country with the lowest life expectancy. The current tourist flow study is part of a series of several tourist-related research on the rural region of the Oradea Metropolitan Area. The research analyzes the tourist flow in the rural OMA compared to Bihor County. Thus, the annual tourist flow quantitative and qualitative indicators in the area of the rural OMA and Bihor County for the period 2001-2020 were analyzed referring to tourist arrivals, overnight stays, average length of stay, tourist flow density and seasonality. The secondary data were collected from annual statistic registries of the Romanian National Institute of Stastistics, stored, processed and analyzed under the form of maps, graphs and tables as well as adjoining interpretations through the GIS mapping program and statistical analysis programs.The analysis revealed that the hotspot of tourist consumption in the rural Metropolitan Area of Oradea (i.e. OMA) and Bihor County is represented by Băile Felix and 1 Mai spas which draw the largest share of all OMA tourists of 93.2% and 48.3% of Bihor County for the analyzed period 2001-2020 for its thermal cure factors. It reveals an overtourism consumption in a single commune vresus its other counterparts. Metropolitan regions/areas are NUTS 3 regions or a combination of NUTS 3 regions which represent all agglomerations of at least 250,000 inhabitants (Eurostat, 2021). Oradea Metropolitan Area (NUTS3ID RO111) was established in 9th of May 2005 and has a total number of 251.570 inhabitants. The purpose of the association is to stimulate and support the growth and prosperity of the area, focused on the continuous increase of the quality of life. Besides the economic boost, OMA emerged from the need for space and leisure expressed by the core urbanites and although the periurban area is teeming with valuable cultural resources, the latter being the focus of the current study, they are little known by many of the Oradea residents. In this purpose the cultural attractions of the rural OMA were inventoried, analysed and stored in an online openaccess database so that tourists can enjoy them and entrepreneurs in tourism can use them as focal points for further tourist infrastructure development. The analysis highlighted the OMA periurban area with the highest cultural attractions' potential based on the National Methodology regarding the evaluation of the tourist potential in the basic administrative-territorial units.
