As a subfield of artificial intelligence, machine learning has gained widespread application due to its exceptional ability to learn models and summarize experiences from large datasets. To address the issues of time consumption, labor intensity, poor objectivity, and low accuracy in the flavor quality prediction of jasmine tea, machine learning algorithms were introduced. As a branch of artificial intelligence and computer science, machine learning utilizes data and algorithms to simulate or replicate human learning behavior, exhibiting strong capabilities in handling irrelevant information, extracting feature variables, and building calibration models. It has found broad applications in the food industry. In recent years, there have been numerous reports on the application of machine learning in tea processing, but there are relatively few review articles specifically focused on the application of machine learning techniques in predicting the flavor quality of jasmine tea. This paper reviewed the principles of commonly used machine learning models and their application in predicting the flavor quality of jasmine tea. It introduced the application of current machine learning models in the physical testing, chemical indicators, and microbial and pest detection aspects of jasmine tea flavor quality prediction, with the aim of providing a reference for the application of machine learning in the development of the jasmine tea industry.

The pupose of this review was to explore the application of machine learning in the realm of flavor molecule research, particularly in the analysis of the flavor of Jasmine tea. The study of flavor molecules is fundamental to understand and optimize the taste and quality of food, especially tea. The introduction of machine learning technology has opened new horizons for the identification and analysis of flavor molecules. This paper firstly outlined the basic concepts and research methods of flavor molecules, and a detailed discussion on the application of machine learning in deciphering the relationships between molecular structures and flavor characteristics, as well as in the analysis, prediction and optimization of the flavor and intelligent processing of Jasmine tea and other applications, put forward the research prospect. Thereby, this review could enhance the quality of Jasmine tea and provide technical support for the further development of the tea industry.

The present study was performed to investigate the effects of dietary lipid level on growth performance, antioxidant defense, and mRNA levels of digestive enzymes and immune genes in larval genetically improved farmed tilapia ( Oreochromis niloticus). The results show that larvae fed lipid levels of 4-11.5% had greater weight gain ( WG), feed efficiency, protein efficiency ratio and survival than larvae fed the other dietary lipid levels ( P < 0.05). No difference whole-body crude protein, ash or moisture contents were found between treatments ( P > 0.05) but lipid contents increased as dietary lipid level was increased. The 8% and 11.5% dietary lipid levels had stimulatory effects on trypsin mRNA level compared with those of larvae fed the 15% and 18.5% lipid diets. Intestinal and liver amylase mRNA levels decreased in larvae fed the 18.5% lipid diet, following the decrease in dietary starch. Analysis of the secondary curve equation for WG indicated that the optimal dietary lipid level in larval tilapia was 8.56%. In addition, the 4-11.5% lipid levels improved superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase activities and increased mRNA levels of heat shock protein70, hepcidin antimicrobial peptide-1, and C-type lysozyme in the liver of larvae ( P < 0.05). A 192-h Streptococcus iniae challenge study was conducted after the 35-day feeding trial, and the results showed that post-challenge mortality of larvae fed the 11.5% lipid level was the lowest and enhanced the immune activities. The typical chest computed tomography ( CT) finding of the arc welders is ill-defined micronodules diffusely distributed in the lung. We report a rare case of tracheobronchial foreign body in welder without the history of allotriophagy and foreign body aspiration. We used the CT and mineralogical analysis in diagnosis and the flexible fiberoptic bronchoscope in therapy. The CT showed bronchiectasis with pulmonary infiltration of the right lower lobe and high-density shadow in the basal bronchus of the right lower lobe. The foreign bodies were removed by a fibreoptic bronchoscope. Semiquantitative chemical analyses showed that the constituent of foreign body was similar to the dregs which were collected in the same garage. This is an unusual case of the welding-related respiratory diseases, which is different from Welder's siderosis and broncholith. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that regulate target gene expression by binding to the 3' untranslated region (3' UTR) of the target mRNA. MiRNAs regulate a large variety of genes, including those involved in liver biology and disease. Here, we report for the first time that miR-29a post-transcriptionally regulates stearoyl-CoA desaturase (SCD) by binding to its 3' UTR in genetically improved farmed tilapia (GIFT), Oreochromis niloticus , as shown by a 3' UTR luciferase reporter assay. miR-29a antagomir treatment in vivo resulted in significant upregulation of SCD expression. We found that miR-29a expression was negatively correlated with SCD expression in GIFT liver. Inhibition of miR-29a led to a significant increase in SCD expression on day 60 induced by a saturated fatty acid diet, thereby increasing conversion of 16:0 and 18:0 to 16:1 and 18:1, respectively, and activating serum insulin, which would favor glucose and lipid uptake by the liver. These results indicate that miR-29a regulates SCD levels by binding to its 3' UTR, and this interaction affects saturated fatty acid stress induction and insulin and lipid accumulation in serum. Our results suggest that miR-29a is critical in regulating lipid metabolism homeostasis in GIFT liver, and this might provide a basis for understanding the biological processes and therapeutic intervention encountered in fatty liver., Competing Interests: Competing interestsThe authors declare no competing or financial interests., (© 2017. Aim: To analyze proteomic and signal transduction alterations in irradiated melanoma cells., Methods: We combined stable isotope labeling with amino acids in cell culture (SILAC) with highly sensitive shotgun tandem mass spectrometry (MS) to create an efficient approach for protein quantification. Protein-protein interaction was used to analyze relationships among proteins., Results: Energy metabolism protein levels were significantly different in glycolysis and not significantly different in oxidative phosphorylation after irradiation. Conversely, tumor suppressor proteins related to cell growth and development were downregulated, and those related to cell death and cell cycle were upregulated in irradiated cells., Conclusion: Our results indicate that irradiation induces differential expression of the 29 identified proteins closely related to cell survival, cell cycle arrest, and growth inhibition. The data may provide new insights into the pathogenesis of uveal melanoma and guide appropriate radiotherapy.

Objective: To investigate the mid- to long-term effects of delayed percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on the left ventricular function and clinical outcome of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI)., Methods: PCI (including percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty and stenting) was performed in 42 patients within 1 to 2 weeks following the onset of AMI (PCI group), with another 31 patients who were admitted within the same period to receive medication for AMI serving as the control group. The patients in both groups were observed for comparison of the occurrence of reinfarction and angina, mortality at 1 and 6 months, and findings by ultrasound cardiograms (UCG)., Results: In PCI group, the left ventricular function were obviously improved as compared with the control group (P<0.01) 1 month after the onset of AMI, showing greater improvement at 6 months (P<0.01). No death or reinfarction occurred in the PCI group, with only 1 patients experiencing angina 5 months after PCI. In control group, death occurred in 2 cases, reinfarction in 1 case, recurrent angina in 4 cases (include 2 cases of early postinfarction angina)., Conclusion: Delayed PCI may significantly improve the prognosis of patients with AMI and prolong their survival without cardiovascular accidents and ameliorate their left ventricular functions, with high success rate of the operation.
