In this paper, we use two Fractional-Order Chaotic Systems (FOCS)—one for the sender and one for the receiver—to determine the optimal synchronisation for a secure communication technique. With the help of the Step-By-Step Sliding-Mode Observer (SBS-SMO), this synchronisation is accomplished. An innovative optimisation method, known as the artificial Harris hawks optimisation (HHO), was employed to enhance the observer's performance. This method eliminates the random parameter selection process and instead selects the optimal values for the observer. In a short amount of time, the secret message that could have been in the receiver portion (signal, voice, etc.) was successfully recovered using the proposed scheme. The experimental validation of the numerical results was carried out with the assistance of an Arduino microcontroller and several electronic components. In addition, the findings of the experiments were compared with the theoretical calculations, revealing a satisfactory level of agreement. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper proposes an operating approach based on the anisotropic diffusion method to restore and denoise Satellite Remote Sensing Images (SRSIs). The contents of the approach are the motion by mean curvature to detect the noise direction for each degraded pixel and preserve the original edges of the image, and the gradient in the Gaussian kernel which restores the degraded pixel locally, assuring the estimation of its original value and saving the contrast of the image. The algorithm, concluded by our proposed system, treats noised SRSIs regardless of noise type, so better restoration is achieved. Experiments of the proposed system and of other approaches were conducted in MATLAB in order to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed approach and its performance was confirmed through evaluation with PSNR and SSIM. The aim of this work is to find a new criterion for determining a range of values in order to determine the gender of a speaker. The use of the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) of the Daubechies db7 parent wavelet and the computation of the zero crossing energy from the first level of the DWT was followed by computation of the values of the criterion for both genders and comparison with the value of the speech basic frequency for both genders for the same sign or sentence. The standard has a limited range of values close to the basic frequency range of the same speaker through which we can determine gender. This criterion has been tested on several men and women databases with different repeated sentences for the same person or for both genders and it gives acceptable results that can be worked on. A pseudo-perfect power supply is today a serious problem for researchers and power engineers and producers. The use of modern electronic devices for developing power systems leads unfortunately to presence of nonlinear loads and causes the apparition of harmonics and inter-harmonics superimposed to the fundamental sine wave. To reduce and mitigate harmonic propagation along the power network, filters are used. To design such filters an accurate method is needed to measure the harmonic levels in the network. Signal Processing has contributed amazingly in the identification of harmonics and inter-harmonics during last decades. Earlier, methods based on Fourier Transform (DFT, FFT, STFT, etc.) were used for spectrum estimation, but they suffer from problems of resolution and some invalid assumptions. On the other side, parametric methods based on mathematical models are widely used because of their accuracy and the ability to extract all harmonics and inter-harmonics without knowledge of the fundamental. This paper devotes to a detailed study of Prony method for harmonics and Inter-harmonics identification in power systems. The influence of selection of each parameter is investigated as well as the interaction between them. Image deconvolution is an important problem in image processing. It is an ill-posed inverse problem, so regularization techniques are used to solve this problem by adding constraints to the objective function. Various popular algorithms have been developed to solve such problem. This paper proposes a new approach to the nonlinear neutron degraded images restoration problem which is useful in many images enhancement applications, based on swarm intelligence. We use the particle swarm optimization (PSO) applied for total variation (TV) minimization, instead of the standard Tikhonov regularization method. In this work, we attempt to reconstruct or recover neutron radiography images that have been degraded during acquisition; using some a priori knowledge of the degradation phenomenon. The truncated singular value decomposition (TSVD) method is also considered for image deconvolution in this paper. A comparison between the five methods is conducted, using several images.
