Abstract Tyrosinase is an enzyme crucial for the progression of melanogenesis. Immoderate production of melanin may be the cause of hyperpigmentation and darkening leading to skin diseases. Tyrosinase is the most researched target for suppressing melanogenesis since it catalyzes the rate-limiting stage of melanin production. Thiosemicarbazones have been reported to possess strong inhibition capability against tyrosinase. We have designed and synthesized eighteen N-tosyl substituted indole-based thiosemicarbazones as competitive tyrosinase inhibitors in the current work. All the compounds exhibited outstanding to good potency with half maximal inhibitory concentration in the range of 6.40 ± 0.21 µM to 61.84 ± 1.47 µM. The compound 5r displayed the top-tier inhibition amongst the entire series with IC50 = 6.40 ± 0.21 µM. Compounds, 5q and 5r exhibited competitive inhibitions in concentration dependent manner with Ki = 3.42 ± 0.03 and 10.25 ± 0.08 µM respectively. The binding mode of 5r was evaluated through in silico molecular dynamics simulations and molecular docking, while ADME assessment studies predicted the drug-like characteristics of the derivatives. The newly synthesized derivatives may serve as a structural guide for designing and developing novel tyrosinase inhibitors.

Abstract Dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR), an essential enzyme in folate metabolism, presents a promising target for drug development against various diseases, including cancer and tuberculosis. Herein, we present an integrated approach combining in vitro biochemical assays with in silico molecular docking analysis to evaluate the inhibitory potential of 4-piperidine-based thiosemicarbazones 5(a-s) against DHFR. In our in vitro study, a novel series of 4-piperidine-based thiosemicarbazones 5(a-s) were assessed for their inhibitory activity against DHFR enzyme. The synthesized compounds 5(a-s) exhibited potent inhibition with IC50 values in the range of 13.70 ± 0.25 µM to 47.30 ± 0.86 µM. Among all the derivatives 5p displayed highest inhibitory activity. Simultaneously, in silico analysis were performed and compared with standard drug (Methotrexate) to predict the binding affinity and interaction pattern of synthesized compounds with DHFR active site. SAR analysis was done to elucidate how structural modifications impact compound’s biological activity, guiding the rational design of potent and selective drug candidates for targeted diseases. These findings may provide a comprehensive assessment of 4-piperdine-based thiosemicarbazones as DHFR inhibitors and contribute to the development of novel therapeutics targeting DHFR-associated diseases.

Abstract General relativity (GR) theory modifications include different scalar, vector, and tensor fields with non-minimal gravitational coupling. Kalb–Ramond (KR) gravity is a modified theory formulated based on the presence of the bosonic field. One astrophysical way to test gravity is by studying the motion of test particles in the spacetime of black holes (BHs) using observational data. In the present work, we aimed to test KR gravity through theoretical studies of epicyclic frequencies of particle oscillations using quasi-periodic oscillation (QPO) frequency data from microquasars. First, we derive equations of motion and analyze the effective potential for circular orbits. Also, we studied the energy and angular momentum of particles corresponding to circular orbits. In addition, we analyze the stability of circular orbits. It is shown that the radius of the innermost stable circular orbits is inversely proportional to the KR parameter. We are also interested in how the energy and angular momentum of test particles at ISCO behave around the KR BHs. We found that the Keplerian frequency for the test particles in KR gravity is the same as that in GR. Finally, we study the QPOs by applying epicyclic oscillations in the relativistic precession (RP), warped disc (WD), and epicyclic resonance (ER) models. We also analyze QPO orbits in the resonance cases of upper and lower frequencies 3:2, 4:3, and 5:4 in the QPO as mentioned above models. We obtain constraints on the KR gravity parameter and BH mass using a Monte Carlo Markov Chain simulation in the multidimensional parameter space for the microquasars GRO J1655-40 & XTE J1550-564, M82 X-1, and Sgr A*.

Abstract In the present work, we first regularize a black hole spacetime in modified gravity (MOG) in the presence of the scalar-tensor-vector (STV) field, called the Schwarzschild MOG black hole, under the transformation $$r^2 \rightarrow r^2 + a^2$$ r 2 → r 2 + a 2 , known as the Simpson–Visser (SV) spacetime (where a is regularization or black-bounce parameter). The spacetime can represent a black hole and a wormhole. We analyze horizon properties and calculate the effective mass of the spacetime. Also, we find black hole-wormhole regions in black-bounce and MOG parameter spacetime. We also analyze scalar invariants of spacetime, such as the Ricci scalar, the square of the Ricci tensor, and the Kretchmann scalar. We study test particle motion in the SV-MOG spacetime by considering the interaction between the particle and the STV field. We investigate how the STV fields change the innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs), energy, and angular momentum of the test particle’s ISCO. It is shown that the ISCO decreases in the presence of the black bounce parameter and increases in the STV field. We also study the collisions of test particles and analyze how the MOG and black-bounce parameters influence the critical angular momentum of colliding particles and their center of mass energy.

Honey production is susceptible to manipulation by unscrupulous sellers, making honey authentication crucial to prevent fraud. The process of authenticating honey often necessitates the use of various analytical techniques, such as identifying the chemicals present in honey by means of hyphenated mass spectrometry. Here, we report on the investigation of the chemical composition of three honey samples collected at two locations in Lombok and Bali by liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS). The three datasets include information regarding compound name, mass, retention times, as well as findings from database searches. Collectively, these data afford first insights into the compositional profile of honey samples from this specific geographical area.

The reactive two-dimensional steady laminar boundary layer flow over a wedge is examined in this work, with an emphasis on the mass and heat transfer of nanofluids. This study investigates the effects of three different chemical reactions—Arrhenius, bimolecular, and sensitized reactions—using Buongiorno’s model. Through similarity transformations, the system of partial differential equations (PDEs) is converted into ordinary differential equations, which are then solved by combining the shooting method with the Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg numerical technique. The findings show that the skin friction coefficient is greatly increased by raising the pressure gradient and stretching/contracting wedge parameters. On the other hand, as the thermophoresis parameter, Brownian motion parameter, activation energy, and Lewis number increase, the Nusselt number decreases, signifying a decrease in the efficiency of heat transfer. A higher Sherwood number, on the other hand, indicates increased mass transfer and is brought about by increases in the Lewis number, thermophoresis parameter, activation energy, and Falkner–Skan power-law parameter. These findings provide important information for maximizing heat and mass transfer in nanofluid systems. Key values for the skin friction coefficient, local Nusselt number, and the Sherwood number are given in tabular form, and the results are graphically represented.

In the quest for novel therapeutic agents against SARS-CoV-2, the proposed study explores the potential of traditional Omani medicinal plants, focusing on the efficacy of natural ligands against the virus's Spike protein. Among 437 identified medicinal plants across Oman, 47 species that are documented for their traditional use in treating respiratory infections, with 30 species' ligands available were chosen for analysis. Molecular docking was performed using Autodock Vina on these ligands, yielding 406 unique ligands post-duplication removal. The binding affinities of target-ligand complexes were precisely determined, ranking them by interaction strength. This process identified Corilagin, a phytochemical from the Acalypha indica plant (locally known as Aeyan Al Aqrada), as the most promising inhibitor. Subsequent analyses using GROMACS for molecular dynamics simulation confirmed its binding stability and interaction dynamics of the Corilagin-protein complex. The in-vitro studies further validated Corilagin's inhibitory effect on SARS-CoV-2, demonstrating a remarkable 92 % inhibition at 0.5 mM concentration. Dilution studies to ascertain the IC50 value revealed Corilagin's high potency at a micromolar level (IC50 = 2.15 ± 0.13 μM), underscoring its potential as a drug candidate for SARS-CoV-2 treatment. These findings highlight the significance of ethnomedicine and in-silico methodologies in drug discovery, offering promising directions for future antiviral research.

Abstract No-hair theorem indicates that black holes cannot have their own magnetic dipole moment. They can be weakly magnetized in binary systems with a neutron star companion and an accretion disc of charged particles. A simple model suggested by Petterson states that a current loop accreting a Schwarzschild black hole generates dipole-like magnetic fields in the outer region of the loop that are uniform in the inner region. This study considers circular motion and collisions of charged test particles with magnetic dipole moments in the inner and outer regions. First, we derive the effective potential taking into account the magnetic interactions between external magnetic fields with electric charge and the magnetic dipole moment of the particle. We investigate the possible innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs) of the charged and magnetized particles orbiting the magnetized Schwarzschild black hole inside and outside the current loop. Finally, we explore the collisional processes of these particles near the black hole horizons, examining the effects of magnetic interactions on the critical angular momentum of particles that may collide and the center of mass energy of the colliding particles. We discuss astrophysical relevant objects with magnetic dipole moment and electric charge: magnetized neutron stars, white dwarfs, rotating stellar-mass black holes, electrons, and protons, and also estimate the interaction parameters for them.

Abstract Southern Asian flowers offer honeybees a diversity of nectar. Based on its geographical origin, honey quality varies. Traditional methods are less authentic than DNA-based identification. The origin of honey is determined by pollen, polyphenolic, and macro-microorganisms. In this study, amplicon sequencing targets macro-microorganisms in eDNA using the ITS1 region to explore honey’s geographical location and authentication. The variety of honey samples was investigated using ITS1 with Illumina sequencing. For all four honey samples, raw sequence reads showed 979,380 raw ITS1 amplicon reads and 375 ASVs up to the phylum level. The highest total number of 202 ASVs up to phylum level identified Bali honey with 211,189 reads, followed by Banggi honey with 309,207 a total number of 111 ASVs, and Lombok represents only 63 ASVs up to phylum level with several read 458,984. Based on Shannon and Chao1, honey samples from Bali (B2) and (B3) exhibited higher diversity than honey from Lombok (B1) and green honey from Sabah (B4), while the Simpson index showed that Banggi honey (B4) had higher diversity. Honey samples had significant variance in mycobiome taxonomic composition and abundance. Zygosaccharomyces and Aspergillus were the main genera found in Lombok honey, with percentages of 68.81% and 29.76% respectively. Bali honey samples (B2 and B3) were identified as having a significant amount of the genus Aureobasidium, accounting for 40.81% and 25% of the readings, respectively. The microbiome composition of Banggi honey (B4) showed a high presence of Zygosaccharomyces 45.17% and Aureobasidium 35.24%. The ITS1 analysis effectively distinguishes between honey samples of different origins and its potential as a discriminatory tool for honey origin and authentication purposes.

Abstract The COVID-19 has had a significant influence on people's lives across the world. The viral genome has undergone numerous unanticipated changes that have given rise to new varieties, raising alarm on a global scale. Bioactive phytochemicals derived from nature and synthetic sources possess lot of potential as pathogenic virus inhibitors. The goal of the recent study is to report new inhibitors of Schiff bases of 1,3-dipheny urea derivatives against SARS COV-2 spike protein through in-vitro and in-silico approach. Total 14 compounds were evaluated, surprisingly, all the compounds showed strong inhibition with inhibitory values between 79.60% and 96.00% inhibition. Here, compounds 3a (96.00%), 3d (89.60%), 3e (84.30%), 3f (86.20%), 3g (88.30%), 3h (86.80%), 3k (82.10%), 3l (90.10%), 3m (93.49%), 3n (85.64%), and 3o (81.79%) exhibited high inhibitory potential against SARS COV-2 spike protein. While 3c also showed significant inhibitory potential with 79.60% inhibition. The molecular docking of these compounds revealed excellent fitting of molecules in the spike protein receptor binding domain (RBD) with good interactions with the key residues of RBD and docking scores ranging from − 4.73 to − 5.60 kcal/mol. Furthermore, molecular dynamics simulation for 150 ns indicated a strong stability of a complex 3a:6MOJ. These findings obtained from the in-vitro and in-silico study reflect higher potency of the Schiff bases of 1,3-diphenyl urea derivatives. Furthermore, also highlight their medicinal importance for the treatment of SARS COV-2 infection. Therefore, these small molecules could be a possible drug candidate.

Abstract A series of novel Schiff base derivatives (1–28) of 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid were synthesized in a multi-step reaction. All the synthesized Schiff bases were obtained in high yields and their structures were determined by 1HNMR, 13CNMR, and HR-ESI–MS spectroscopy. Except for compounds 22, 26, 27, and 28, all derivatives show excellent to moderate α-glucosidase inhibition. Compounds 5 (IC50 = 12.84 ± 0.52 µM), 4 (IC50 = 13.64 ± 0.58 µM), 12 (IC50 = 15.73 ± 0.71 µM), 13 (IC50 = 16.62 ± 0.47 µM), 15 (IC50 = 17.40 ± 0.74 µM), 3 (IC50 = 18.45 ± 1.21 µM), 7 (IC50 = 19.68 ± 0.82 µM), and 2 (IC50 = 20.35 ± 1.27 µM) shows outstanding inhibition as compared to standard acarbose (IC50 = 873.34 ± 1.67 µM). Furthermore, a docking study was performed to find out the interaction between the enzyme and the most active compounds. With this research work, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid Schiff base derivatives have been introduced as a potential class of α-glucosidase inhibitors that have remained elusive till now.

Researchers have been trying to synthesize a novel carbon form called Graphyne. For over a decade but with no success. Recently, some researchers have made a breakthrough in generating Carbons elusive allotrope and solved a long-standing problem in carbon materials. This wonder material is created to rival the conductivity of graphene but with control. These results opened new ways of research in the fields of semiconductors, electronics and optics. Topological indices are mathematical descriptors of the Structure of a molecule that can be used to predict its properties. They are derived from the graph theory, which describes the topology of a molecule and its connectivity. γ- graphyne is a specific type of graphyne, which is a carbon-based material similar to graphene. In this paper our focus is on two structures made from hexagonal honeycomb graphite lattices, like γ- graphyne,and Zig-zag Gamma graphyne nanoribbon. The first, second, third and fourth Zagreb indices, the first and second hyper-Zagreb indices, third redefined Zagreb indices, are all computed in this paper. Furthermore mathematical closedform expressions for some of its essential degree-based molecular descriptors are derived. These obtained results will help to investigate the structure–property relationships in γ-Graphyne.

Abstract A serine protease called prolyl endopeptidase (PEP) hydrolyses the peptide bonds on the carboxy side of the proline ring. The excessive PEP expression in brain results in neurodegenerative illnesses like dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson's disease. Results of the prior studies on antioxidant activity, and the non-cytotoxic effect of bi-carbazole-linked triazoles, encouraged us to extend our studies towards its anti-diabetic potential. Hence, for this purpose all compounds 1–9 were evaluated to reveal their anti-prolyl endo peptidase activity. Fortunately, seven compounds resulted into significant inhibitory capability ranging from 26 to 63 µM. Among them six compounds 4–9 exhibited more potent inhibitory activity with IC50 values 46.10 ± 1.16, 42.30 ± 1.18, 37.14 ± 1.21, 26.29 ± 0.76, 28.31 ± 0.64 and 31.11 ± 0.84 µM respectively, while compound 3 was the least active compound in the series with IC50 value 63.10 ± 1.58 µM comparing with standard PEP inhibitor bacitracin (IC50 = 125 ± 1.50 µM). Moreover, mechanistic study was performed for the most active compounds 7 and 8 with K i values 24.10 ± 0.0076 and 23.67 ± 0.0084 µM respectively. Further, the in silico studies suggested that the compounds exhibited potential interactions and significant molecular conformations, thereby elucidating the structural basis for their inhibitory effects.

Abstract Analysis of test magnetized and charged particles around black holes immersed in external magnetic fields may help to explain the observed astrophysical phenomena related to black holes, such as the acceleration of particles up to high energies. In this sense, we studied the circular motion of test-charged particles with magnetic dipole orbiting around magnetized rotating Kerr black holes. First, we derive the effective potential for the circular motion of such particles, including interactions between the external magnetic field and the electric charge, and the magnetic interaction between the magnetic dipole. In addition, we analyze the angular momentum and energy of particles corresponding to circular orbits. The effects of magnetic interaction and coupling parameters on the position of innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs), the energy and angular momentum of the particles at ISCO, and the energy efficiency from the Novikov-Thorne accretion disc have been investigated. We also find cases of degeneracy between magnetic dipole interaction and magnetic coupling parameters, giving the same ISCO radius. Finally, we studied various cases of collisions of neutral, magnetized, and electrically charged particles near rotating Kerr black holes in the presence of external magnetic fields. The critical angular momentum of spinning charged particles is found in which the particles can collide. We also analyze the effects of both magnetic interactions on the center-of-mass energy of the colliding particles.

Abstract COVID-19 appeared as a highly contagious disease after its outbreak in December 2019 by the virus, named SARS-CoV-2. The threat, which originated in Wuhan, China, swiftly became an international emergency. Among different genomic products, spike protein of virus plays a crucial role in the initiation of the infection by binding to the human lung cells, therefore, SARS-CoV-2’s spike protein is a promising therapeutic target. Using a combination of a structure-based virtual screening and biochemical assay, this study seeks possible therapeutic candidates that specifically target the viral spike protein. A database of ~ 850 naturally derived compounds was screened against SARS-CoV-2 spike protein to find natural inhibitors. Using virtual screening and inhibitory experiments, we identified acetyl 11-keto-boswellic acid (AKBA) as a promising molecule for spike protein, which encouraged us to scan the rest of AKBA derivatives in our in-house database via 2D-similarity searching. Later 19 compounds with > 85% similarity with AKBA were selected and docked with receptor binding domain (RBD) of spike protein. Those hits declared significant interactions at the RBD interface, best possess and excellent drug-likeness and pharmacokinetics properties with high gastrointestinal absorption (GIA) without toxicity and allergenicity. Our in-silico observations were eventually validated by in vitro bioassay, interestingly, 10 compounds (A3, A4, C3, C6A, C6B, C6C, C6E, C6H, C6I, and C6J) displayed significant inhibitory ability with good percent inhibition (range: > 72–90). The compounds C3 (90.00%), C6E (91.00%), C6C (87.20%), and C6D (86.23%) demonstrated excellent anti-SARS CoV-2 spike protein activities. The docking interaction of high percent inhibition of inhibitor compounds C3 and C6E was confirmed by MD Simulation. In the molecular dynamics simulation, we observed the stable dynamics of spike protein inhibitor complexes and the influence of inhibitor binding on the protein’s conformational arrangements. The binding free energy ΔGTOTAL of C3 (−38.0 ± 0.08 kcal/mol) and C6E (−41.98 ± 0.08 kcal/mol) respectively indicate a strong binding affinity to Spike protein active pocket. These findings demonstrate that these molecules particularly inhibit the function of spike protein and, therefore have the potential to be evaluated as drug candidates against SARS-CoV-2.

Abstract Novel methods are required to enhance lung cancer detection, which has overtaken other cancer-related causes of death as the major cause of cancer-related mortality. Radiologists have long-standing methods for locating lung nodules in patients with lung cancer, such as computed tomography (CT) scans. Radiologists must manually review a significant amount of CT scan pictures, which makes the process time-consuming and prone to human error. Computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) systems have been created to help radiologists with their evaluations in order to overcome these difficulties. These systems make use of cutting-edge deep learning architectures. These CAD systems are designed to improve lung nodule diagnosis efficiency and accuracy. In this study, a bespoke convolutional neural network (CNN) with a dual attention mechanism was created, which was especially crafted to concentrate on the most important elements in images of lung nodules. The CNN model extracts informative features from the images, while the attention module incorporates both channel attention and spatial attention mechanisms to selectively highlight significant features. After the attention module, global average pooling is applied to summarize the spatial information. To evaluate the performance of the proposed model, extensive experiments were conducted using benchmark dataset of lung nodules. The results of these experiments demonstrated that our model surpasses recent models and achieves state-of-the-art accuracy in lung nodule detection and classification tasks.

Abstract Throughout this work, we explored the dynamics of test particles with magnetic dipole moment around magnetized rotating Kerr black holes in scalar–vector–tensor gravity theory (STVG), known as modified gravity theory (MOG). We assume that the black hole is immersed in external asymptotically uniform magnetic fields. We derive effective potential for circular orbits of the magnetized particles, taking into account both the magnetic and STVG interactions. We study profiles of the position of the innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs) of the magnetized particles. We show that the MOG interaction is essentially, and the magnetic interaction enhances its effects on the ISCO radius and the angular momentum at ISCO. Also, we consider collisional cases of magnetized particles and the maximum and minimum limits of angular momentum that ensure the particle colliding near the horizon. Finally, we analyze the center-of-mass energy of colliding magnetized particles near the black hole horizon.

The unique floral fingerprint embedded within honey holds valuable clues to its geographical and botanical origin, playing a crucial role in ensuring authenticity and detecting adulteration. Honey from native Apis cerana and Heterotrigona itama bees in Karangasem, Indonesia, was examined utilizing pollen DNA metabarcoding for honey source identification. In this study, we used ITS2 amplicon sequencing to identify floral DNA in honey samples. The finding reveals distinct pollen signatures for each bee species. Results analysis showed A. cerana honey generated 179,267 sequence reads, assembled into Amplicon Sequence Variants (ASVs) with a total size of 485,932 bp and an average GC content of 59 %. H. itama honey generated 177,864 sequence reads, assembled into ASVs with a total size of 350,604 bp and an average GC content of 57 %. A. cerana honey exhibited a rich tapestry of pollen from eleven diverse genera, with Schleichera genus dominating at an impressive relative read abundance of 72.8 %. In contrast, H. itama honey displayed a remarkable mono-dominance of the Syzygium genus, accounting for a staggering 99.95 % of its pollen composition or relative read abundance, highlighting their distinct foraging preferences and floral resource utilization. Notably, all identified pollen taxa were indigenous to Karangasem, solidifying the geographical link between honey and its origin. This study demonstrates pollen DNA metabarcoding may identify honey floral sources. By using pollen profiles from different bee species and their foraging patterns, we may protect consumers against honey adulteration and promote sustainable beekeeping in Karangasem district. Future research could explore expanding the database of reference pollen sequences and investigating the influence of environmental factors on pollen composition in honey. Investigating this technology's economic and social effects on beekeepers and consumers may help promote fair trade and sustainable beekeeping worldwide.

Recent events dedicated to e-healthcare systems demonstrated that a critical mass of users using e-health services and applications are being created and producing a tremendous output, such as improved patient monitoring, faster diagnosis, and better disease management. However, despite the benefits and availability of e-health systems, widespread adoption in real-life medical or health situations still needs to be improved. Therefore, implementing a four-party authentication system can help address concerns about security and privacy and encourage patients to adopt electronic healthcare technologies. This article presents a security protocol for securely authenticating four participants in the e-healthcare system, namely LSP–eHS. The scheme uses a simple cryptographic hash function, concatenation, and xor operations. The security of the proposed protocol can be confirmed through a widely used BAN (Burrows–Abadi–Needham) logic, and the performance analysis of the proposed protocol can be finished by measuring communication and computation costs.

Decentralized Edge Computing Networks (DECN) environments have emerged with the advent of the IoT to reduce delays, bringing data processing closer to where the data is generated to improve the processing of volumetric data at high speed instead of being sent to clouds to facilitate real-time applications. However, the security and privacy of the data exchanged among the edge devices need more consideration, considering its sensitivity and importance. Computational Diffie-Hellman (CDH) can be used to protect data exchange from malicious attacks. Unfortunately, CDH is vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks and lacks mutual authentication. Therefore, considering the computational power of devices in the DECN environment, this article presents a Modified CDH-based Secure and Lightweight Key Agreement Protocol (MCDH-SKLAP) to secure communication in the DECN. The proposed protocol has undergone a thorough analysis for robustness under ROM and ProVerif threat models, instilling confidence in its security aspects. Furthermore, the performance analysis results show it has low computation and communication overhead, making it suitable for use with resource-limited devices in the DECN environment. The proposed MCDH-SKLAP has achieved a 35% to 81% improvement in computation overhead and an 8.5% to 30% improvement in communication overhead.

The infrastructureless architecture for Internet-of-Drones (IoD) environment regulates drones in airspace for performing tactical tasks. Synergy is crucial for IoD participants; otherwise, complex task completion is impossible because IoD is a newer area that has gained more attention for domestic and commercial usage. However, wireless communication in the IoD environment is prone to numerous threats; security and privacy are among the top challenges. If all the participating entities of IoD become securely authenticated, then information broadcasting will never be confronted by a strong adversary. Therefore, in this research article, we have designed a robust and lightweight security mechanism based on a fuzzy extractor and the MD5 (Message Digest 5) method to authenticate all IoD participants and ensure secure communication. The security analysis of the proposed biometric-based authentication mechanism has been formally verified through a simulation toolkit ProVerif and Random-Oracle Model (ROM) and informally through propositions. The performance metrics of the proposed protocol have been measured by considering communication and computation costs. The result obtained from the security and performance analysis sections shows that the secrecy, reachability, and confidentiality of the session secret key are, of course, ensuring secure information communication for the IoD environment. When comparing it with prior works, the result demonstrated that it can be strongly recommended for practical implementation in the IoD environment.

Abstract Diabetes mellitus has a high prevalence rate and it has been deemed a severe chronic metabolic disorder with long-term complications. This research aimed to identify compounds that could potentially inhibit the vital metabolic enzyme α-glucosidase and thereby exert an anti-hyperglycemic effect. The main goal was to establish an effective approach to control diabetes. To proceed with this study, a series of novel coumarin-derived thiosemicarbazones 3a–3m was synthesized and examined using a variety of spectroscopic methods. Moreover, all the compounds were subjected to α-glucosidase inhibition bioassay to evaluate their antidiabetic potential. Fortunately, all the compounds exhibited several folds potent α-glucosidase inhibitory activities with IC50 values ranging from 2.33 to 22.11 µM, in comparison to the standard drug acarbose (IC50 = 873.34 ± 1.67 µM). The kinetic studies of compound 3c displayed concentration-dependent inhibition. Furthermore, the binding modes of these molecules were elucidated through a molecular docking strategy which depicted that the thiosemicarbazide moiety of these molecules plays a significant role in the interaction with different residues of the α-glucosidase enzyme. However, their conformational difference is responsible for their varied inhibitory potential. The molecular dynamics simulations suggested that the top-ranked compounds (3c, 3g and 3i) have a substantial effect on the protein dynamics which alter the protein function and have stable attachment in the protein active pocket. The findings suggest that these molecules have the potential to be investigated further as novel antidiabetic medications.

Abstract The aim of present work is to apply the Caputo–Fabrizio fractional derivative in the constitutive equations of heat transfer. Natural convection flow of an unsteady second grade fluid over a vertical plate with exponential heating is discussed. The generalized Fourier law is substituted in temperature profile. A portion of the dimensionless factors are utilized to make the governing equations into dimensionless structures. The solutions for temperature and velocity profiles of Caputo–Fabrizio model are acquired through the Laplace transform method. These solutions are greatly affected through the variation of different dimensionless variables like Prandtl number, Grashof number, and second-grade fluid parameter. Finally, the influence of embedded parameters is shown by plotting graphs through Mathcad. From the graphical results it is concluded that, the temperature of the fluid decreases with the increasing values of the Prandtl number and Second grade fluid parameter and increases with the passage of time. The velocity of the fluid increases with increasing values of the Grashof number, second grade parameter and time while decreases with increasing values of fractional parameter and Prandtl number.

Abstract Testing gravity theories is an important and interesting issue in relativistic astrophysics using astrophysical observations. In recent years, Event horizon telescope collaboration provided valuable data from shadow of supermassive black holes located at the center of the galaxies Milky Way and Meissner 87, which may help to get information about the spacetime around the black holes. In this work, first, we consider rotating black hole solution for charged black hole with the NUT charge in the presence of clouds of strings, and study the event horizon properties of spacetime around rotating twisting and charged black holes in the cloud of strings and quintessential fields. The null geodesics of the spacetime is derived and the shadow case, radius of the shadow of the black and its distortion, due to the effects of the black hole spin, also analyzed. It is obtained that gravitational effects of black hole charge and quintessential field compensate each other and the rotating black hole’s shadow can be circular. We obtain constraints on charge and spin parameters of supermassive black holes Sgr $$\hbox {A}^*$$ A ∗ and $$\hbox {M87}^*$$ M87 ∗ using observational data from their shadow (size and observational angle) for various values of the NUT charge, cloud of strings and quintessential field parameters. Moreover, we also investigate gravitational capture cross-section for electromagnetic waves and emission rate of the black hole radiation energy through Hawking evaporation.

Abstract Objectives Pollen is a useful tool for identifying the provenance and complex ecosystems surrounding honey production in Malaysian forests. As native key pollinators in Malaysia, Apis dorsata and Heterotrigona itama forage on various plant/pollen species to collect honey. This study aims to generate a dataset that uncovers the presence of these plant/pollen species and their relative abundance in the honey of A. dorsata and H. itama. The information gathered from this study can be used to determine the geographical and botanical origin and authenticity of the honey produced by these two species. Results Sequence data were obtained for both A. dorsata and H. itama. The raw sequence data for A. dorsata was 5 Mb, which was assembled into 5 contigs with a size of 6,098,728 bp, an N50 of 15,534, and a GC average of 57.42. Similarly, the raw sequence data for H. itama was 6.3 Mb, which was assembled into 11 contigs with a size of 7,642,048 bp, an N50 of 17,180, and a GC average of 55.38. In the honey sample of A. dorsata, we identified five different plant/pollen species, with only one of the five species exhibiting a relative abundance of less than 1%. For H. itama, we identified seven different plant/pollen species, with only three of the species exhibiting a relative abundance of less than 1%. All of the identified plant species were native to Peninsular Malaysia, especially the East Coast area of Terengganu. Data description Our data offers valuable insights into honey’s geographical and botanical origin and authenticity. Metagenomic studies could help identify the plant species that honeybees forage and provide preliminary data for researchers studying the biological development of A. dorsata and H. itama. The identification of various flowers from the eDNA of honey that are known for their medicinal properties could aid in regional honey with accurate product origin labeling, which is crucial for guaranteeing product authenticity to consumers.

Abstract This article examines particle dynamics and acceleration in the magnetic Penrose process (MPP) around Kerr black hole (BH) in a split monopole magnetic field. The characteristics of charged particle motion around magnetized BHs reveal four differen feasible regimes of ionized Keplerian disk behaviour: survival in regular epicyclic motion; changing into a chaotic toroidal state; collapse due to escaping along magnetic field lines and collapse due to falling into the BHs. By making use of the effective potential, we have investigated the position of stable circular orbits for both in- and off-equatorial planes. We observed that the positive magnetic field $${{\mathcal {P}}}>0$$ P > 0 increases the stability of effective potential, whereas $${{\mathcal {P}}}

Zebrafish is a developing vertebrate model with several advantages, including its small size, and high experimental efficiency. Malaysia exhibit one of the highest diabetes rates in the Western Pacific and incurring an annual cost of 600 million US dollars. The objective of the study is to determine the antidiabetic properties of green honey (GH) using a zebrafish model. Adult zebrafish, aged 3–4 months, were subjected to overfeeding and treated with streptozotocin (STZ) through intraperitoneal injection (IP) on days 7 and 9. The study assessed the oral sucrose tolerance test (OSTT) and the anti-diabetic effects of green honey. The evaluation was conducted at three time points: 30, 60, and 120 min after treatment and sucrose administration. The study utilised a model with a sample size of 5. The study was performed in six groups. These groups are (1) Normal control (non-diabetic, no intervention), (2) Normal control + GH (non-diabetic, supplemented with GH 3 μl), (3) DM control (diabetic, no intervention), (4) DM Gp1 (diabetic, 3 μL GH), (5) DM Gp2 (diabetic, 6 μ L GH), (6) DM Acarbose (diabetic, treated with acarbose). Fasting blood glucose levels for non-diabetic (non-DM) and diabetic (DM) groups were evaluated before and after the 10 days of diabetic induction. Green honey, was discovered on Banggi Island, Sabah, showing high in essential amino acids and chlorophyll derivatives. Despite its lucrative market potential owing to its distinctive color, uncertainties persist regarding its nature. This study leverages amplicon sequencing by targeting micro- and macro-organisms present in honey environmental DNA (eDNA) using Internal Transcribed Spacer 2 (ITS2) region, enabling the identification of floral and microorganism sources that represent the honey's composition. The investigation into green honey from Banggi Island concerns the prevalence of honey adulteration and authenticity for economic gain. Adulteration methods, such as the addition of sugar syrups, compromise honey purity. Using a sequencing approach would help in determining the geographic origin and verifying the authenticity of the honey. The study aims to identify plant species or microorganisms in honey's eDNA. To authenticate honey, we utilized ITS2 with Illumina sequencing, exploring the diversity of green honey samples. Raw sequence reads obtained for the green honey sample revealed 1,438,627 raw reads, with a GC average of 49.22 %. A total of 44 amplicon sequence variances (ASVs) were identified, including three genera: Zygosaccharomyces with two species, Fraxinus with three species, and the genus Ficaria with only one species. Their respective relative abundances were 98.55%, 0.94%, and 0.51%. Zygosaccharomyces rouxii and Zygosaccharomyces mellis were identified as the pre-dominant yeast species in honey, while the Fraxinus and Ficaria genus represent common plant species in Sabah, particularly in Banggi Island. The dominance of Zygosaccharomyces species aligns with their known prevalence in honey, affirming the reliability of our findings. The presence of Fraxinus and Ficaria in the honey sample correlates with its abundance in the local environment. This amplicon sequencing approach not only contributes to our understanding of green honey composition but also serves as a valuable resource for authenticating honey origin in Malaysia, particularly for green honey from Banggi Island, Sabah. Our study pioneers the application of ITS2 amplicon sequencing for green honey amplicon sequencing, providing valuable insights into its composition and origin. This methodology, with a focus on eDNA, contributes to the authentication and quality determination of honey in Malaysia, addressing the pressing concerns of adulteration and variability in production practices.

Abstract The complex interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set (CIIFS), as an extension of the complex intuitionistic fuzzy set (CIFS), is one of the better tools for dealing with time-periodic information in a single set of two-dimensional information. So, this paper makes some new operators based on Aczel-Alsina’s t-norm and t-conorm in the CIIFS environment. First, some Aczel-Alsina t-norm and t-conorm operational laws are defined for complex interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (CIIFNs). Then, using the proposed operational laws, Aczel-Alsina The operators Complex interval-valued intuitionistic Aczel-Alsina weighted average (CIIFAAWA), Complex interval-valued intuitionistic Aczel-Alsina weighted geometric (CIIFAAWG), Complex interval-valued intuitionistic Aczel-Alsina ordered weighted average (CIIFAAOWA), and Complex interval-valued intuitionistic Aczel-Alsina ordered weighted geometric (CIIFAAOWG) are developed. Further, some properties of the proposed operators are discussed and investigated in detail. A group decision-making method is also suggested based on developed operators in the CIIFS environment. The proposed operators are more adaptable and give more accurate results than existing ones. Furthermore, a multi-criteria decision-making technique is developed based on the proposed operators. A decision-making problem for healthcare facilities in public hospitals is provided to demonstrate the benefits and applicability of the proposed method. Finally, a comparative study is also investigated using the existing methods.

In this work, a novel approach of guided wave-based damage identification in composite laminates is proposed. The novelty of this research lies in the implementation of ConvLSTM-based autoencoders for the generation of full wavefield data of propagating guided waves in composite structures. The developed surrogate deep learning model takes as input full wavefield frames of propagating waves in a healthy plate, along with a binary image representing delamination, and predicts the frames of propagating waves in a plate, which contains single delamination. The evaluation of the surrogate model is ultrafast (less than 1 s). Therefore, unlike traditional forward solvers, the surrogate model can be employed efficiently in the inverse framework of damage identification. In this work, particle swarm optimisation is applied as a suitable tool to this end. The proposed method was tested on a synthetic dataset, thus showing that it is capable of estimating the delamination location and size with good accuracy. The test involved full wavefield data in the objective function of the inverse method, but it should be underlined as well that partial data with measurements can be implemented. This is extremely important for practical applications in structural health monitoring where only signals at a finite number of locations are available.

Limited honey production worldwide leads to higher market prices, thus making it prone to adulteration. Therefore, regular physicochemical analysis is imperative for ensuring authenticity and safety. This study describes the physicochemical and antioxidant properties of Apis cerana honey sourced from the islands of Lombok and Bali, showing their unique regional traits. A comparative analysis was conducted on honey samples from Lombok and Bali as well as honey variety from Malaysia. Moisture content was found slightly above 20% in raw honey samples from Lombok and Bali, adhering to the national standard (SNI 8664:2018) of not exceeding 22%. Both honey types displayed pH values within the acceptable range (3.40-6.10), ensuring favorable conditions for long-term storage. However, Lombok honey exhibited higher free acidity (78.5±2.14 meq/kg) than Bali honey (76.0±1.14 meq/kg), surpassing Codex Alimentarius recommendations (≤50 meq/kg). The ash content, reflective of inorganic mineral composition, was notably lower in Lombok (0.21±0.02 g/100) and Bali honey (0.14±0.01 g/100) compared to Tualang honey (1.3±0.02 g/100). Electric conductivity, indicative of mineral content, revealed Lombok and Bali honey with lower but comparable values than Tualang honey. Hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) concentrations in Lombok (14.4±0.11 mg/kg) and Bali (17.6±0.25 mg/kg) were slightly elevated compared to Tualang honey (6.4±0.11 mg/kg), suggesting potential processing-related changes. Sugar analysis revealed Lombok honey with the highest sucrose content (2.39±0.01g/100g) and Bali honey with the highest total sugar content (75.21±0.11 g/100g). Both honeys exhibited lower glucose than fructose content, aligning with Codex Alimentarius guidelines. The phenolic content, flavonoids, and antioxidant activity were significantly higher in Lombok and Bali honey compared to Tualang honey, suggesting potential health benefits. Further analysis by LC-MS/MS-QTOF targeted analysis identified various flavonoids/flavanols and polyphenolic/phenolic acid compounds in Lombok and Bali honey. The study marks the importance of characterizing the unique composition of honey from different regions, ensuring quality and authenticity in the honey industry.

The Internet has advanced so quickly that we can now access any service at any time, from any location. As a result of this capability, People around the world can benefit from the popularity and convenience of teleworking systems. Teleworking systems, however, are vulnerable to a range of attacks; as an unauthorized user enters the open communication line and compromises the whole system, that, in turn, creates a big hurdle for the teleworkers. Professional groups have presented numerous mechanisms for the security of teleworking systems to stop any harm, but there are still a lot of security issues like insider, stolen verifier, masquerade, replay, traceability and impersonation threats. In this paper, we propose that one of the security issues with teleworking systems is the lack of a secure authentication mechanism. In order to provide a secure teleworking environment, we have proposed a lightweight and secure protocol to authenticate all the participants and make the requisite services available in an efficient manner. The security analysis of the presented protocol has been investigated formally using the random oracle model (ROM) and ProVerif simulation and informally through illustration/attack discussions. Meanwhile, the performance metrics have been measured by considering computation and communication overheads. Upon comparing the proposed protocol with prior works, it has been demonstrated that our protocol is superior to its competitors. It is suitable for implementation because it achieved a 73% improvement in computation and 34% in communication costs.

Cloud computing is vital in various applications, such as healthcare, transportation, governance, and mobile computing. When using a public cloud server, it is mandatory to be secured from all known threats because a minor attacker's disturbance severely threatens the whole system. A public cloud server is posed with numerous threats; an adversary can easily enter the server to access sensitive information, especially for the healthcare industry, which offers services to patients, researchers, labs, and hospitals in a flexible way with minimal operational costs. It is challenging to make it a reliable system and ensure the privacy and security of a cloud-enabled healthcare system. In this regard, numerous security mechanisms have been proposed in past decades. These protocols either suffer from replay attacks, are completed in three to four round trips or have maximum computation, which means the security doesn't balance with performance. Thus, this work uses a fuzzy extractor method to propose a robust security method for a cloud-enabled healthcare system based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC). The proposed scheme's security analysis has been examined formally with BAN logic, ROM and ProVerif and informally using pragmatic illustration and different attacks' discussions. The proposed security mechanism is analyzed in terms of communication and computation costs. Upon comparing the proposed protocol with prior work, it has been demonstrated that our scheme is 33.91% better in communication costs and 35.39% superior to its competitors in computation costs.

Inhibiting α-glucosidase is a reliable method for reducing blood sugar levels in diabetic individuals. Bis(dimethylamino)benzophenone derivatives 1–27 were synthesized from bis(dimethylamino)benzophenone via two-step reaction. Different spectroscopic techniques, including EI-MS and 1H NMR, were employed to characterize all synthetic derivatives. The elemental composition of synthetic compounds was confirmed by elemental analysis and results were found in agreement with the calculated values. The synthetic compounds 1–27 were evaluated for α-glucosidase inhibitory activity, except five compounds all derivatives showed good to moderate inhibitory potential in the range of IC50 = 0.28 ± 2.65 - 0.94 ± 2.20 μM. Among them, the most active compounds were 5, 8, 9, and 12 with IC50 values of 0.29 ± 4.63, 0.29 ± 0.93, 0.28 ± 3.65, and 0.28 ± 2.65, respectively. Furthermore, all these compounds were found to be non-toxic on human fibroblast cell lines (BJ cell lines). Kinetics study of compounds 8 and 9 revealed competitive type of inhibition with Ki values 2.79 ± 0.011 and 3.64 ± 0.012 μM, respectively. The binding interactions of synthetic compounds were also confirmed through molecular docking studies that indicated that compounds fit well in the active site of enzyme. Furthermore, a total of 30ns MD simulation was carried out for the most potent complexes of the series. The molecular dynamics study revealed that compound-8 and compound-12 were stable during the MD simulation.

In this study, a partial velocity slip of the boundary layer flow and an analysis of the MHD two-dimensional ternary hybrid nanofluid with fluid based on polymers with variable thermal conductivity are conducted. On a stretching sheet with a convective boundary condition, the investigation was conducted. Model equations with boundary conditions were transformed into a set of ODEs in order to study the flow. The resulting system of equations was solved by using the Runge-Kutta fourth-order method in conjunction with the shooting method. A numerical analysis was done to determine the impact of several key factors on the system's heat transfer characteristics and flow field velocity. Computed the flow field's velocity and heat transfer properties by varying these physical parameters, then graphically displayed the results. Additionally, tables covered the local shear stress and rate of heat transfer respectively, describe the flow's resistance to motion and the rate of local heat transfer of ternary hybrid nanofluid. For a thorough comparison, the results were compiled in tables. Additionally, the results were compared to data already available for regular fluids, and it was discovered that there was a very high degree of agreement between the two sets of results. This raises confidence in the precision of their numerical computations. New findings: The explicit formulas that have been derived make it simple to understand how changes in temperature-dependent thermal conductivity and nanoparticle volume fraction affect significant parameters, such as sk.fsdain friction and heat transfer rate, in the study of ternary hybrid nanofluids.

Abstract The aim of the present work is to apply the Caputo–Fabrizio fractional derivative to the heat transformation of unsteady incompressible second grade fluid. The effects of magneto hydro dynamic and radiation are analyzed. In governing equation of heat transfer nonlinear radiative heat is examined. Exponential heating phenomena is considered at boundary. Firstly, the dimensional governing equations with the initial & boundary conditions are converted into non-dimensional form. Exact analytical solutions are obtained for dimensionless fractional governing equations which consist of momentum and energy equations by using Laplace transform method. Special cases are investigated of the obtained solutions and it is noticed that some well-known results are achieved published in literature from these special cases. At the end, for graphical illustration the influences of different physical parameters like radiation, Prandtl, fractional parameter, Grashof numbers and Magneto hydro dynamic are checked graphically.

Abstract Type II diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a global health issue with high rate of prevalence. The inhibition of α-glucosidase enzyme has prime importance in the management of T2DM. This study was established to synthesize Schiff bases of 1,3-dipheny urea (3a–y) and to investigate their in vitro anti-diabetic capability via inhibiting α-glucosidase, a key player in the catabolism of carbohydrates. The structures of all compounds were confirmed through various techniques including, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and mass-spectrometry (MS) methods. Interestingly all these compounds displayed potent inhibition IC50 values in range of 2.14–115 µM as compared to acarbose used as control. Additionally, all the compounds were docked at the active site of α-glucosidase to predict their mode of binding. The docking results indicates that Glu277 and Asn350 play important role in the stabilization of these compounds in the active site of enzyme. These molecules showed excellent predicted pharmacokinetics, physicochemical and drug-likeness profile. The anti-diabetic potential of these molecules signifies their medical importance and provide insights into prospective therapeutic options for the treatment of T2DM.

Background: Lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) infects many individuals worldwide and causes severe infection in the immunosuppressant recipient, spontaneous abortion, and congenital disabilities in infants. Objectives: There is no specific vaccine or therapeutics available to protect against LCMV infection; thus, there is a need to design a potential vaccine to combat the virus by developing immunity in the population. Herein, we attempted to design a potent multi-epitope vaccine for LCMV using immunoinformatics methods. Methods: The whole proteome of the virus was screened and mapped to extract immunodominant B-cell and T-cell epitopes which were fused with appropriate linkers (EAAAK, GGGS, AAY, GPGPG, and AAY), PADRE sequence (13aa) and an adjuvant (50 S ribosomal protein L7/L12) to formulate a multi-epitope vaccine ensemble. Codon adaptation and in silico cloning of the constructed vaccine were carried out using bioinformatics tools. The secondary and tertiary structure of the vaccine construct was predicted and refined. The physicochemical profile of the designed vaccine was analyzed, and the multi-epitope vaccine's potential to bind Toll-like receptors (TLR2 and TLR4) was evaluated through molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations. Computational immune simulation of the designed vaccine antigen was performed using the C-ImmSim server. Results: The designed multi-epitope-based vaccine (613 aa) comprised 26 immunodominant (six B-cell, nine cytotoxic T lymphocytes, and 11 helper T lymphocytes) epitopes and is predicted antigenic, non-toxic, non-allergen, soluble, and topographically accessible with a suitable physicochemical profile. The designed vaccine is expected to cover a broad worldwide population (96.35 %) and stimulate a robust adaptive immune response against the virus upon administration. In silico cloning of the constructed vaccine in PET28a (+) vector ensured its optimal expression in the Escherichia coli system. Molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation, and binding free energy estimation collectively support the stability and energetically favourable interaction of the modeled vaccine–TLR2/4 complexes. Conclusion: The designed multi-epitope vaccine in the present study could serve as a potential vaccine candidate to protect against LMCV infection; however, the experimental validation and safety testing of the vaccine is warranted to validate the study’s outcomes.

Intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) are key concepts in ambiguity and uncertainty. However, IFSs deal only with anticipation, not periodicity. To do so, complex intuitionistic fuzzy sets (CIFS) can handle uncertainties and periodicity simultaneously. Also, the Maclaurin symmetric mean (MSM) operator is a better tool for dealing with the criteria’s interrelationships. As a result, this article presents a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach in the CIFS setting, which draws inspiration from the CIFS and MSM operators. We develop complex intuitionistic fuzzy partitioned dual Maclaurin symmetric mean (CIFPDMSM) operators and their weighted form by considering that all the criteria can be arranged into some groups. The proposed operators deal not only with interrelationships between criteria but also with partitioned relationships among criteria. Some properties of the proposed operators are discussed in detail. Further, an MCDM approach is developed based on the proposed operators in the CIFS environment. To show the effectiveness and application of the developed method, we also present a numerical example for selecting computer network security systems. Finally, the method is compared with the existing technique to demonstrate the proposed method’s applicability and feasibility.

The chayote (Sechium edule) plant is believed to have significant nutritional importance due to its medicinal functions. It has been widely cultivated in Kundasang, Sabah for vegetable consumption. This study was carried out to determine the health benefits of this vegetable, especially the upper 3-foot of the shoot portion, in terms of antioxidant activity, total phenolic content and nutrient composition. It was divided equally into three parts, each a foot long and classified as: upper tier, middle tier and lower tier and amongst them, which tier gives rise to the best health benefits or will the traditional consumption of the whole 3-foot shoot be better for overall health well-being. DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl-hydrate) and Folin Ciocalteu test were used to determine antioxidant activity and Total Phenolic Content (TPC), respectively. The results showed that the upper tier of shoot parts had the highest value for antioxidant activity, with the lowest of IC50 value (245.12 ± 9.24 μg/ml). The lower part of the plant also shows the highest value for TPC with a value of 355.66 ± 5.84 mg/g GAE. Minerals, Ca, Mg, P, Mo, Fe and Al were the highest value in the middle tier portion. The proximate analyses showed that the upper tier of the shoot has the highest fat, crude protein, and carbohydrate contents. Crude ash has the highest value in the middle tier part. On the other hand, the moisture content and the crude fiber were high at the lower tier of the shoot portion. The upper tier of the shoot is recommended to be consumed for health benefits because it is high in antioxidant activity and proximate content and also rich in minerals. However, the traditional practice is to consume the whole 3-foot long of this vegetable is very welcome

The global livestock sector is expanding at a faster rate than any other agricultural sub-sector. It employs approximately 1.3 billion people and accounts for approximately 40 % of global agricultural output. This industry is one of the most damaging sectors to the world's increasingly scarce water resources, contributing to water pollution from animal wastes, hormones, antibiotics, chemicals from tanneries, pesticides, and fertilizers used to spray feed crop. Climate change harms livestock productivity by changing ecosystem services i.e. water availability, forage quality and quantity, diseases outbreak, and animals stress due to heat shock and reduction of livestock diversity and breeds. Ecosystem and animal health are under the direct influence of climate change. The prevalence and dispersal of animal illnesses and pathogens are presently on the rise due to climate change. Climate change may have a significant impact on farm animal production performance around the world. Heat stress appears to be one of the intriguing environmental variables affecting animals, making animal production challenging in many geographical locations around the world. Intake of feed can decrease at high temperatures while energy demands increase due to the activation of thermoregulation mechanisms, which harms productivity, growth, and development. This is because thermoregulation mechanisms are activated when temperatures are high. The rate at which animals digest their food is impacted, subjected to heat stress, in addition to their rate of growth and development. The animal's heart rate, rectal temperature, and respiratory rate can all be increased during expose to environments with high temperatures.

Abstract In this research article the heat transfer of generalized second grade fluid is investigated with heat generation. The fluid flow is analyzed under the effects of Magneto hydrodynamics over an infinite vertical flat plate. The Newtonian heating phenomenon has been adopted at the boundary. For this purpose the problem is divided into two compartments i.e. momentum equation and energy equations. Some specific dimensionless parameters are defined to convert the model equations into dimensionless system of equations. The solutions for dimensionless energy and momentum equations are obtained by using the Laplace transform technique. From obtained results by neglecting magneto hydrodynamic effects and heat source some special case are achieved which are already published in literature. The case for which the fractional parameter approaches to the classical order is also discussed and it has been observed that it is convergent. Finally, the influences of different physical parameters are sketched graphically. It has been observed that for increasing values of Prandtl number the velocity and temperature decreases, for increasing values of Grashof number the velocity of the fluid increases. Also it has been investigated that for increasing values of fractional parameter the velocity and temperature of the fluid increases.

Abstract In this paper, we have been study a hybrid nanofluid over an exponentially oscillating vertical flat plate. Therefore the fractional derivatives definition of Caputo–Fabrizio approach is applied to transform the classical model for this hybrid nanofluid to fractional model. Together with an oscillating boundary motion, therefore the heat transfer is cause as a result of the buoyancy force produce due temperature differences between the plate and the fluid. The dimensionless classical model is generalized by transforming it to the time fractional model using Caputo–Fabrizio time fractional derivative. Exact analytical solutions are obtained by using Laplace transform method to the set of dimensionless fractional governing equations, containing the momentum and energy equations subjected to the boundary and initial conditions. Numerical computations and graphical illustrations are used to checked the results of the Caputo–Fabrizio time-fractional parameter, the second-grade parameter, the magnetic parameter and the Grashof numbers on the velocity field. An assessment for time spin-off is shown graphically of integer order versus fractional-order for these non-Newtonian hybrid nanofluid through Mathcad software. The fluid velocity increases for increasing the value of the fractional parameter, second-grade parameter and Grashof number. Also for increasing the values of the MHD parameter the fluid velocity decreases.

Objective: The objective of this study was to assess the effectiveness of triamcinolone in combination with pentoxifylline and vitamin E in the treatment of patients with level two and three oral submucous fibrosis. Methods: The study aimed to compare the efficacy of corticosteroid injections (triamcinolone) versus pentoxifylline and vitamin E in the therapy of patients with stage two and three oral submucous fibrosis. A total of 42 participants with indications and features of oral submucous fibrosis were enrolled between January 2020 and September 2021. The patients’ age and mouth opening were evaluated, and descriptive statistics and paired t -test were used for analytical investigation. Results: The study showed a statistically significant improvement in both treatment groups ( p = 0.001) concerning pre- and post-treatment deviations. However, when comparing the standard differences in treatment outcomes between the two study groups, only mouth opening exhibited a statistically significant difference ( p = 0.001). Conclusions: The findings indicate that a treatment regimen combining pentoxifylline and triamcinolone can significantly alleviate oral submucous fibrosis symptoms, including mouth opening, pain, and flaring agitation, thereby enhancing the affected individual’s quality of life.

With the emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT) and the rapid advancement in sensor technology, wireless medical sensor networks (WMSNs) have become increasingly important in improving health services. WMSNs are deployed for remote monitoring and collecting physiological data of patients for diagnosis and treatment. With the assistance of wearable and mobile devices, IoT-based innovative healthcare solution is extensively adopted to provide better, more precise, and quicker diagnoses. However, the WMSN of healthcare is bandwidth limited and has low latency, while the resource-limited sensors and tremendous IoT output cannot run on practiced security protocols that involve complex encryption/decryption operations. A security system that requires minimal computation and communication time to reduce delay and save the devices’ power source is much needed. Therefore, this article presents a lightweight and robust authentication protocol for the healthcare system that can be used with power and bandwidth-limited devices. Furthermore, this scheme uses random numbers instead of complex encryption/decryption to reduce computation time and energy consumption. The security and performance analysis results show that the proposed method performs better than its competitors regarding security, communication, and computation costs and prolongs the network lifetime.

Abstract In this paper, we aim to investigate the dynamics of magnetized particles around magnetically and electrically charged static black holes (BHs) in Einstein–Maxwell-scalar theory. First, we explore the possible values of EMS parameters for which the spacetime geometry represents a BH spacetime. Since there is no interaction between the electric field of the electrically charged BH and the proper magnetic field of the magnetized test particle. Therefore, we consider BH immersed in an external asymptotically uniform magnetic field. We explore the properties of an external magnetic field around a charged EMS BH. Moreover, we also explored the effects of BH charge and EMS theory parameters on particle’s energy and angular momentum in the circular stable orbits, together with the radius of innermost stable circular orbits. All the obtained results are compared with the acquired results of the Reissner–Nordström BH. Finally, we investigate the behaviour of the center of mass energy of colliding magnetized and electrically charged particles around the EMS BH.

Abstract Clopidogrel, an antiplatelet drug, is frequently prescribed to patients diagnosed with ischemic diseases such as those suffering from acute coronary syndromes or ischemic stroke. Despite the drug being effective in majority of the patients, some still experience ischemic events early in the treatment which might be due to poor platelet inhibition. This study aims to investigate the association of cytochrome P450 2C19 (CYP2C19) loss-of-function polymorphisms, haplotypes as well as a wide range of clinical and demographic variables with platelet aggregation phenotypes to clopidogrel in a Pakistani cohort. The study comprised of a total of 120 patients diagnosed with cardiovascular diseases and were treated with clopidogrel. Antiplatelet response to clopidogrel was monitored by Helena AggRAM (HL-2-1785P) and patients with maximal platelet aggregation more than 50% were categorized as low responders and those with less than 50% as high responders. Our results show that 56.6% of patients were homozygous for the CYP2C19 wild-type allele, 38.3% of patients possessed one copy of the CYP2C19*2 allele and 5% of patients possessed both CYP2C19*2 alleles. No CYP2C19*3 allele was found in our patient cohort. There was no statistically significant difference between the high and low responder groups to clopidogrel in terms of extensive, intermediate and poor metabolizer genotypes. However, haplotype (H1), leukocyte count, random blood glucose, and history of diabetes mellitus was associated with the antiplatelet response to clopidogrel. The prevalence of clopidogrel resistance in our population was in line with that reported for other regional and global populations.

Perfect forward secrecy, cross-verification, and robust mutual authentication guarantee secure communication through unfavorable and unsafe channels. The speedy development in wireless communication and drone-assisted networking technology has miserable significance in many areas, including wildlife monitoring, sidewalk checking, infrastructure inspection, and smart city surveillance. But guaranteeing message integrity, non-repudiation, authenticity, and authorization for information transmission for these areas are still challenging for researchers when using Flying Ad Hoc Networks (FANETs). The FANET’s existence for drone technology is more complicated due to dynamic changes in its topology and easily vulnerable to the adversary for numerous attacks. So far, before exhilarating a drone in the Internet-of-Drones (IoD) environment, controlled layered network architecture is indispensable to allow only legitimate drones to collaborate securely with each other and with the ground control station (GCS) for building the highest trust. A minor lapse creates a severe complication for communication security because an attacker might be trapping data from the open network channel and using it for their unusual deeds. Attentively, identification authentication and message authentication are necessary for such a sensitive environment. Therefore, in this research article, we have designed a verifiably secure Elliptic Curve Cryptographic (ECC)-based authentication scheme for IoD using FANET. The formal security proof of the scheme has been made using a programming verification toolkit ProVerif2.03, Random Oracle Model (ROM), and informally by pragmatic illustration. And the performance evaluation section of the article has been made by considering storage, computation, and communication costs. When comparing the proposed security mechanism with state-of-the-art schemes, it has been shown that the work done in this article is efficient and effective and is suitable for practically implementing in the IoD environment.

The network-enabled smart objects are evolving everywhere in the modern era to solve numerous problems like real-world data collection from the environment, communication, analysis, and security. However, these objects (Internet-of-Things), in combination with low latency networks, are still not qualified for complex tasks and do not deliver efficient services due to the restriction of access and lack of secure authentication protocol. Because the data is collected by the embedded sensors inside the smart object in a real-time manner from the environment and communicated to the destination Centre (server) for intelligent decisions, are vulnerable to numerous threats, attention is required for the security and needs to be secure, as it transmits via an open network channel. This security issue can only be handled by designing a flawless, lightweight, and robust mutual authentication scheme. To do so, we have proposed a mutual authentication scheme using a simple hash cryptographic function, Elliptic Curve Cryptographic (ECC) technique, and XOR operations. The proposed scheme is lightweight, efficient, and effective in performance while offering secure transmission sessions among all the participants. The security of the proposed mechanism has been formally tested using GNY (Gong-Needham-Yahalon) logic, ProVerif2.03, and informally using propositions and realistic discussions. By comparing it with many of the existing authentication protocols, it has been demonstrated that our scheme is lightweight in terms of computation and communication metrics.
