The present study investigates the influence of thermal ageing (873K/5000h) on the microstructure, tensile-plastic flow behavior, and work hardening parameters of normalized and tempered (N&T) 1.4W-0.06Ta Indian Reduced Activated Ferritic Martensitic (INRAFM) steel. To comprehensively understand the tensile-plastic flow response of the INRAFM steel across a broad temperature spectrum of 300-873 K, the Hollomon, Ludwigson and Voce equations were employed. The results reveal an augmentation in the strain hardening exponent following the ageing process, attributed to the heightened work hardening capability of the aged steel, while the strain hardening coefficient exhibited a decline post ageing. To elucidate the dislocation debris structure's formation and movement within both the N&T and thermally aged specimens, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) specimens were procured in close proximity to the tensile tested specimens at varying temperatures of 300, 573 and 873 K. The tensile plastic flow behavior at diverse temperatures was aptly described by Hollomon, Ludwigson, and Voce equations. The fitting accuracy of these equations was determined using the goodness of fit, as indicated by the lowest χ2 values. The constitutive Voce equation successfully captured the yield strength (YS) and ultimate tensile strength (UTS) with the initial stress and saturation stress acting as fitting parameters. Distinct patterns of initial stress and saturation stress variations were observed concerning both N&T and aged steel in relation to temperature. Furthermore, absolute value of the Voce strain component (nv) demonstrated a reduction consequent to ageing, manifesting a two-stage behavior corresponding to temperature elevation. Notably, the deceleration of the recovery process during high temperature conditions was more pronounced in the thermally aged steel when contrasted with the N&T steel. Conclusively, the Voce relation proved efficacious in predicting the yield stress (YS) and ultimate tensile strength (UTS) of both the thermally aged and N&T INRAFM steel at varying temperatures. Background: Increasing cost of fertilizers warrants the necessity of finding methods for increasing the use efficiency of nitrogen in a cropping system. Data from on-farm research on evaluation of use efficiency of applied nutrients using check plot or omission plot technique has been lacking. Methods: A researcher designed and farmer managed experiment was conducted in Angul district under Mid Central Table Land Zone of Odisha to study the on-farm crop response to plant nutrients by involving 12 farmers during 2015-16 and another 12 farmers during 2016-17 in rice (Oryza sativa L.)- groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) cropping system with seven treatments, viz. control (no fertilizer application), recommended N alone (N-0-0-0), NP (N-P-0-0), NK (N-0-K-0), NPK (N-P-K-0), NPK+ZnSO4/CaSO4 (N-P-KZnSO 4 in rice and N-P-K-CaSO4 in groundnut) and farmers' practice (FP). Result: The highest system rice equivalent yield (REY) (12.63 t/ha) was recorded with the recommended doses of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (N-P-K @ 80, 17.5 and 33 kg/ha)+25 kg ZnSO4/ha to rice and recommended doses of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (N-P-K @ 40, 17.5 and 33 kg/ha)+250 kg CaSO4/ha to groundnut followed by recommended NPK alone to both the crops without ZnSO4/CaSO4 (12.18 t/ha). Partial factor productivity (PFP) of N in rice-groundnut system can be increased to 42% over sole N application through application of recommended quantity of NPK. The agronomic efficiency (AE) of N increased by 122, 87 and 186% in rice groundnut cropping system by applying recommended doses of N with P, K and PK over N alone, respectively. Application of recommended quantity of NPK+ZnSO4 to rice and NPK+CaSO4 to succeeding groundnut crop recorded highest system net return of Rs. 92690/ha followed by application of recommended NPK only to both the crops (Rs. 89950/ha). Application of balanced fertilizer improved the status of organic carbon and available N, P and K at the end of the cropping season in both the years compared to control. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article experimentally analyses the effects of the incorporated Suction Line Heat Exchanger (SLHX) on the performance of vapor compression refrigerators to validate the theoretical relations. The set up uses concentric coiled SLHX combined with adiabatic Capillary tube. The model is based on mass, momentum and energy conservation equations on finite element procedure using R-600a as working fluid. This paper emphasizes on the target design of Domestic refrigerators incorporating such heat exchangers of any refrigeration capacity considering the effect of various geometric and operating parameters on performance of VCR. Here the eco-friendly refrigerant R-600a has additional advantage of low operating pressure range of 0.7 bar to 6 bar claiming for a small size compressor. A linseed cultivar 'Arpita' was released in Odisha for cultivation both under rainfed and utera (paira) cropping situations by the State Sub-Committee on Crop Standards, Notification and Release of Varieties for Agricultural Crops, Government of Odisha, Bhubaneswar in its meeting held on 05.12.2014. It matures in 104 days, yields 849 kg seed per hectare under rainfed condition and contains 35.67 per cent drying oil. It has yield advantage of 89.01 per cent, 11.22 per cent and 54.27 per cent over national check 'Indira Alsi 32', zonal check 'Sharda' and local check 'OLC 10', respectively. The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has affected the libraries to the great extent. Libraries use ICT to maintain housekeeping operations, services, uniformity and extension of library facilities. University libraries of Rajasthan (India) are using computer and associated technology for library activities. This study attempts to reveal the basic infrastructure, use, and privation during the implementation of ICT in University libraries of Rajasthan. The data have been collected using the survey method. The paper encompasses the information about the staff, collection, financial sources, hardware, software, networking infrastructure, housekeeping operations, user's services, training and problems areas encountered during implementation of ICT in university libraries. It is revealed that ICT activities are under developing stage in the university libraries of Rajasthan. The article focuses on a study that aims to determine the various channels and resources through which information about agriculture is obtained by farmers in Sagar district in India. The sources of information for farmers are categorized into three which include personal contact, group contact and mass contact. The research shows that information disseminated through personal contact is found to be most effective among the farmers.

The article discusses the study which assesses library and information system (LIS) schools and departments to impart information technology (IT) oriented LIS education in Madhya Pradesh, India. The study investigates how well the universities impart IT oriented LIS education to produce competent information managers. The LIS schools are enthusiastic to meet the IT standard but many constraints are need to be addressed promptly to perform satisfactorily.

The article focuses on study of sources of information used by farmers for the agricultural development in India. The primary goal of the study is to figure out the several channels and references which the farmers held agricultural information. The source of information obtained by farmers are grouped into three major categories such as personal contact, group contact and mass contact. Information distributed through personal contact is discovered to be the most efficient among the farmers. Radio and televisions are the influential channels of the agricultural information in mass contact used by farmers.

The article discusses the study being done concerning the problems and prospects of automation in technical college libraries of Madhya Pradesh, India. The study aims at understanding and analyzing the various problems faced during the process of automation and suggested ways to overcome these problems. The methodology used is questionnaire-based survey. According to the results of the findings, it show that the la ck of staff, lack of computer training of staff, hesitancy in learning use of computers, software and hardware problems and lack of administrative support are the major hindrances to speed the automation.

The article attempts to report the findings of a survey conducted to study the pattern of Internet use; satisfaction with the search results and the Internet services; and reasons of non-use of Internet by the Ph.D. scholars of Dr. H.S. Gour University, Sagar, M.P. The findings show that the rate of Internet use is more in research scholars of Science, Life Sciences, Engineering, Technology and Management faculties as compared to the faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Law, Education and Commerce. Among the non-users of Internet, the number of female research scholars is more as compared to male. The research scholars use Internet for research purpose, entertainment as well as for job search.
