Background: In Indonesia, several hospitals have designed various forms of discharge planning in line with the guidelines provided by the Indonesian Endocrinology Association. These initiatives were implemented to enhance the quality of healthcare service. Despite the efforts made by the government, the rate of non-compliance (9%) and readmission (20%) has continued to increase. This indicates that there is a need to reevaluate the existing discharge planning module. Therefore, this study aims to validate the contents of the diabetes mellitus discharge planning module, which was incorporated into the summary of diabetes self-care activity. The effectiveness of the intervention in improving the compliance of patients with self-care activity was also evaluated. Materials and Methods: This study used a mixed methodological approach, which combined an evaluation method and an experimental quantitative design. The content validity of the module used was carried out using professional judgment, involving competent experts in the bahteramas hospital in southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. The sample population consisted of sixty-five randomly selected respondents, who participated in the validation of the summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities (SDSCA) questionnaire, which had three phases, namely pre-test, during, fieldwork, and post-test. Results: The content validity of the module was tested using Aiken's v, and the results ranged from 0.82 to 0.88 for each session, indicating that it was valid. Furthermore, the internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha) obtained in this study was acceptable, with values ranging from 0.60 to 0.92. Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is the leading cause of death worldwide and is rising, annually. Improved health outcomes require early treatment and self-monitoring, which need health literacy. This study examined how health literacy affects CHD patients' Quality of Life (QoL) at the Hospital's Cardiology Clinic. This quantitative, descriptive correlation study was cross-sectional. The sample was 164 respondents, sampled consecutively. Patients must be willing to participate, diagnosed with CHD, and attend cardiology outpatient follow-up appointments. Health literacy was measured with the HLS-EU-SQ10 and QoL with the Seattle Angina Questionnaire. This study used chi-square to analyze the relationship between two ordinal scale variables in a contingency table. The average age was 58.07 years, according to research. Of the respondents, 59 (36.0%) had graduated high school. Health literacy was assessed in three QoL domains: physical limitation (P=0.024), angina frequency (P=0.570), and QoL (P=0.338). Nursing performance and empowerment play a crucial role in enhancing patient safety culture. Objective: The goal of this study was to identify how nursing performance and empowerment improve patient safety culture. This research used a literature review design. Twelve publications from the ScienceDirect, MEDLINE PubMed, and ProQuest databases were analysed for this project. Only English-language articles released between May 2017 and September 2023 were included in the literature. A total of 12 articles included for review, with articles rated as high-quality. Several studies have shown that enhancing nursing performance through better education, training, and clinical competence significantly contributes to a positive patient safety culture. This literature review highlights the crucial role of nursing performance and empowerment in improving patient safety culture Based on the scientific data presented in this literature review, decision-makers should consider developing pay systems incorporating credentialing, re-credentialing, and career ladders. Introduction: Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is a non-communicable disease that causes significant death. The process of atherosclerosis causes CHD. Management of heart patients after being treated at the hospital, one of which is phase II cardiac rehabilitation. Many innovations lead to rehabilitation using technology, one of them is the LITA (Lifestyle Intervention Telerehabilitation) application-based physical activity guide on smartphones. The aim of this study was to identify the effect of android-based cardiac rehabilitation on the physical activity of heart patients. Materials and methods: This research was a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach with a control group. Sampling was carried out using a non-probability sampling method with consecutive sampling techniques. The research sample consisted of 56 people taken by consecutive sampling technique. The research instrument uses the GPAQ (Global Physical Activity Questionnaire). Data analysis used the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests. Results: The results of the Mann-Whitney test were a P value of 0.001 (<0.05). Conclusion: It concluded that the physical activity guidance through the LITA android-based application significantly affects the physical activity of heart disease patients. Objective: To examine the validity and reliability of the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Checklist-Civilian version (PCL-C) among high-risk pregnancy women and to determine the scale's stability. Methods: The Post-traumatic Stress Disorder Checklist- Civilian version was administered to 200 women with high-risk pregnancies who were rechecked around 1~3 months postpartum. Furthermore, 50 women with high-risk pregnancies in this population were subjected to a second examination 2 weeks later. The validity and reliability of the scale were assessed using a thorough evaluation strategy. This approach included analyzing the properties of the scale items as well as assessing their structural validity, convergent validity, discriminant validity, and internal consistency. Results: The total PCL-C scale exhibited a Cronbach's α of 0.972, a folded-in reliability coefficient of 0.95, and a retest reliability of 0.975, respectively. The validated factor analysis showed an excellent structural goodness-of-fit (x²/df=1.713, RMSEA=0.047, GFI =0.902 CFI =0.979, TLI= 0.973, IFI=0.979); Each Estimate >0.5, the mean-variance of variance AVE> 0.5. Furthermore, the combined reliability (CR) > 0.8 demonstrates an optimal scale convergent validity. Each dimension has a significant correlation (p<0.01), the absolute value of the correlation coefficient is <0.5, and all of them are smaller than the square root of the corresponding AVE, which indicates the scale data's discriminant validity is ideal. Conclusion: The PCL-C scale is reliable and has a stable structure. This public health issue was significant due to the numerous unanticipated consequences of adolescent pregnancies and deliveries. This mixed-methods thesis investigates the potential role of nursing in the explanation of adolescent unintended pregnancies and deliveries. In order to provide a comprehensive understanding of this complex issue, quantitative methods were employed to collect substantial data. An understanding of the causes of unintended pregnancies is beneficial for nurses in their efforts to assist patients and address this public health issue. The high incidence of unintended pregnancies, which is the result of inadequate prenatal care and delayed pregnancy testing, poses a threat to both the mother and the child. Despite Malaysia's provision of free pregnancy care and abortion, there is a lack of research on the correlation between maternal health and antenatal planning. The investigator inquired about, "Is there a connection between delivery planning and prenatal care utilisation and the outcome of pregnancy among Malaysian women?" and concentrated on its girth. Patient medical records were the source of the data. The mother's marital status, education, lifestyle, and the commencement of prenatal treatment may be taken into account. At 1 and 5 minutes, the female's weight, gestational age, and Apgar score were documented. Introduction: Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) is still a major cause of mortality and morbidity globally. One of the factors that cause a prehospital delay is the delay in early detection and inaccuracy of early treatment of ACS. The Internet of Things, which is supported by the high use of smartphones with the DETAK application, can be an opportunity to facilitate ACS education programs so that ACS can be detected early. Method: This study has used a quantitative research design with a quasi-experimental approach which pretest and posttest, in which both the experimental and control groups participate. The inclusion criteria of this study were age >45 years; obesity; smoker; Respondents with a history of: hypertension/diabetes mellitus/hyperlipidemia/hypercholesterolemia/CVD/families with cardiovascular disease. 252 respondents who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into control (n=126) and intervention groups (n=126). The intervention group was given education through the DETAK application and the control group was given leaflet about ACS. Results: The results of the study showed that there was an increased in early treatment ability was only found in the intervention group (p<.001). Mean differences of the ability of early detection (p<.001) and early treatment (p=.019)between intervention and control groups were both significance. Disasters are events that threaten and disrupt people's lives and livelihoods due to natural and/or non-natural factors as well as human factors that cause human casualties, environmental damage, property losses, and psychological. The implementation of disaster preparedness has not been carried out comprehensively and continuously throughout Indonesia. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of landslide preparedness education interventions in increasing the landslide preparedness capacity of households in the Sukabumi Regency. The minimum sample was 118 for each intervention and control group. Random sampling was used for sampling technique. Data analysis was done using an independent t-test. The results of the study mean that the difference in knowledge scores showed a significant difference between the intervention group and the control group (F = 23.41, p-value = 0.000). In addition, the average difference in household preparedness scores for landslides showed a significant difference between the intervention and control groups (F = 190.08, p-value = 0.000). After the intervention, the intervention group's household disaster preparedness improved significantly. Meanwhile, no significant increase was observed in the control group's household disaster preparedness score after the intervention. Household disaster preparedness training may have an impact on the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of individuals and families. The inability to handle lectures efficiently makes students vulnerable to academic burnout. To reduce the incidence of academic burnout in students, it is very necessary to strengthen internal and external factors, based on the theory that factors such as self-esteem and student engagement can reduce academic burnout in students. This study aims to determine the effect of self-esteem and school engagement on academic burnout of nursing students. This type of research is correlational with the cross-sectional approach. A sample of 196 undergraduate nursing students of STIKes Sukabumi with a sampling technique using stratified random sampling. The data collection tool uses the Rosenberg self-esteem scale (RSES), school engagement measure (SEM) and Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS) questionnaires. Statistical analysis uses multiple linear regression. The results showed that there was a significant negative influence of self-esteem on academic burnout (p-value of 0.000), school engagement on academic burnout (p-value 0.000), and there was a simultaneous influence of self-esteem and school engagement on academic burnout of students (p-value 0.000). Engagement has an influence on students academic burnout both partially and simultaneously. Adolescents with disabilities or special needs are very vulnerable to various health problems including reproductive health. In helping to maintain reproductive health, of course, there needs to be other factors that can support the achievement of reproductive health maintenance such as sources of information, knowledge, and attitudes. This study aims is to determine the influence of sources of information, knowledge, and attitudes toward the reproductive health of blind adolescents in the Sukabumi. A source of information is a set of useful information to meet the need for information or news for the wider community. Knowledge is the result of knowing and this happens after a person performs sensing of an object. Attitude is the readiness to react to an object in a certain environment as a passion for an object. Behavior is a person's response or reaction to a stimulus. This type of research is correlational with the cross-sectional approach. Total sampling was used for the population and sample of 42 blind adolescents in Sukabumi. Statistical analysis was done using multiple linear regression. The results showed that there was a significant influence of information sources on the reproductive health behavior of blind adolescents (p-value 0.000), there was a relationship of knowledge on the reproductive health behavior of blind adolescents (p-value 0.000), and there was knowledge of attitudes toward reproductive health behaviors of blind adolescents (p-value 0.000). There is a simultaneous influence of sources of information, knowledge and attitudes towards reproductive health behaviors of blind adolescents (p-value 0.000). It can be concluded that sources of information, knowledge, and attitudes have an influence on the reproductive health behavior of adolescents with visual disabilities. Introduction: According to WHO data from 2020, 144 million children around the world had stunted growth in 2021. Based on the results of the Indonesian Nutrition Status Study (SSGI), Ministry of Health, the prevalence of stunting among children under five is 24.4% in 2021. Poor nutrition during pregnancy and the early years of childhood has the terrible side effect of stunting. Children that are stunted may never reach their full height potential, and their brains may never fully mature cognitively. Methods: This study is quantitative in nature, with an analytic approach and a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post test design by using scation (stunting care application). The population in this study were parents who had children aged 0-5 months, with a total sample of 212 mothers. Result: The median value of knowledge is 55.0 and 50.0 for skills after being given an intervention by scation (stunting care application), while the median value for the control group is 45.0 for knowledge and 45.0 for skills. The increase in knowledge was 5.0 in the intervention group (scation) and 2.0 in the control group, and there was an increase in the same skills in both groups, namely 5.0 with a p-value of 0.004 for knowledge and 0.007 for skills. Introduction: The Covid pandemic has had an impact on reducing the number of emergency room visits in cases of acute coronary syndrome (ACS). This will have a negative impact when the decrease in the number of emergency room visits by ACS patients results in delays in treatment. Online education through applications can be a solution to increasing knowledge without having to violate health protocols due to crowds during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the effect of the DETAK mobile application on the early detection of ACS during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: This study will use a quantitative research design with a quasi-experimental pretest and posttest with a control group. This study applied a quantitative research design. A total of 252 respondents who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into control and intervention groups. The intervention group was given education through the DETAK application, and the control group was given conventional education about ACS. Before the intervention was given, a pre-test was conducted in both groups and after the intervention, a post-test was performed on both. Results: The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the ability to detect ACS earlyin the control group (p=0.025) and the intervention group (p < 0.001). Results from the bivariate analysis showed that there were differences in the ability of early detection between the intervention and control groups (p< 0.001). Conclusions: There was an effect of using the DETAK mobile application on increasing knowledge of risk factors and symptoms of ACS which has an impact on increasing the ability to detect early symptoms of ACS during the Covid-19 pandemic. Hypertension or elevated blood pressure is one of the leading causes of premature death worldwide. One strategy to better treat hypertension is to involve patients in their own self-care. This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in West Java, Indonesia, from June to July 2021. A convenience sample of 144 adults with hypertension was used. The inclusion criteria were: people aged 35 to 65; prescribed two or fewer antihypertensive drugs for hypertension; with a blood pressure of more than 140/90 mm Hg at baseline; able to control their blood pressure and self-titrate medicine; and able to read and write in Bahasa Indonesia. The SC-HI is a 24-item questionnaire that assesses self-care in hypertension on three dimensions: self-care maintenance, management, and confidence. Linear regression analyses were used to investigate self-care and its associated factors. The average age of the patients was 55.67 ± 10.65 years, 59.7% were female, 77.8% were married, and 48.6% had finished secondary school. The mean overall self-care score among the hypertensive patients was 2.43 (SD = 1.26). The self-care domain with the lowest mean score was in confidence (mean = 2.12, SD = 1.96) and the highest score was in maintenance (mean = 2.86, SD = 2.01). Gender, education level, and duration of hypertension contributed significantly to the variance in self-care with an R-squared of 23.4%. We found that the level of self-care in the hypertensive patients in general was inadequate. Patients undergoing hemodialysis (HD) must spare four hours a day, three days a week, irrespective of the patient's schedule. Thus, it is common for chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients to be depressed, and with the progression of CKD, their overall quality of life (QOL) could decrease. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the relationship between depression and QOL among patients undergoing hemodialysis in Indonesia. This cross-sectional research was conducted at a West Java Province, Indonesia, public health center, from August to December 2020. The inclusion criteria of participants were over the age of 20 and having been undergoing HD for at least six months. Depression was evaluated using the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) and QOL was measured using The Kidney Disease and Life Quality-SFTM v1.3 Survey (The KDQOL-SFTM v1.3). Pearson's correlation analysis was used to investigate the correlation between depression and QOL. There were 190 respondents out of 225 (response rate: 84.4%), including 100 patients with CKD stages 1-3 (response rate: 75.6%). No correlation was found between demographic characteristics and QOL in HD patients (p > 0.05). The Indonesian KDQOL-SFTM v1.3 was associated with the BDI-II, and r ranged from 00.354 to 0.486. In order to increase QOL, it is recommended that depression is treated with routine follow-up in a collaborative care approach because intensive treatment is not normally reproduced in real-world practices. Introduction: Indonesia experienced the highest peak for COVID-19 infection in January-February 2021. The surveillance indicators of COVID-19 responses must be evaluated in order to predict the next increase in cases. The purpose of the study was to assess COVID-19 control implementation using surveillance indicators from January to February 2021. Methods: A retrospective study has been applied to a total of 219 cases recorded during January-February 2021, extracting data from Routine Surveillance in Kuningan District. Surveillance indicators and Case Fatality Rate (CFR) were analyzed descriptively. Comparison of recording the number of Contact Tracing Application (SILACAK Application) cases and manual reports with independent t-test using Stata. Results: The number of daily cases from weeks 1 and 3 that are inputted SILACAK Application is less than manual data. The ratio of confirmed cases to close contacts is 1:2. On average 33.4%, the percentage of confirmed cases spread from close contact. On an average of 98.6%, close contacts of new cases are monitored for 14 days on average only 16 cases of close contacts each week whose clusters can be identified. CFR is 2.32%, Comparison of recordings (p=0.867). Conclusion: Surveillance indicators have not been achieved optimally in data synchronization, the ratio of the number of cases with close contacts and identification of case clusters and there is no significant difference between manual recording and SILACAK App, while monitoring has been running optimally and has been able to reduce the CFR. Introduction: The global incidence of child sexual abuse makes it a concern on both a national and international scale. Both internal and external causes, including psychological, biological, moral, economic, and cultural elements, contribute to acts of violence against children. The cultural elements of individuals and society significantly influence sexual harassment. This systematic review focuses on the identification of sexual violence against children from a cultural perspective. Methods: Look into studies on multicultural viewpoints, articles about sexual violence against minors, and cultural perspectives in incidents of such violence. The characteristics the sample selects are more specific to teenagers. It also discusses an overview of cultural and racial diversity from various countries in the world. Databases were obtained from Google Scholar, Proquest, MEDLINE, and PubMed. The study spans the years 2007 through 2023 and includes qualitative and quantitative methods as well as English and Indonesian publications. The Joanna Briggs Institute’s (JBI) Critical Assessment Checklist was used to synthesize 13 papers that matched the assessment criteria and discussed cultural perspectives on sexual abuse against children. Results: Five main issues grew from the analysis of 13 studies: views on fatalistic and religious beliefs about sexual violence against children, the culture of violence in the “powerful and powerless” dimension, collectivistic and patriarchal culture, which serves as the foundation for violent behavior, racist cultural views, which influence behavior and socio-centric and selfish culture. Conclusion: Sexual violence against children from a cultural perspective, is something that needs attention, cannot be ignored, and is not perceived as usual. Introduction: The clinical learning process in Indonesia is largely conventional and lacks integration between needs assessment and desired outcomes. Therefore, there is a need for mobile learning-based instructional media that is not restricted by space and time. This research aimed to develop, as well as assess the validity, and practicality of a clinic-based mobile learning instructional media. Methods: The Research and Development (R&D) method was used and the product development design adopted the ADDIE model, implemented from April 2021 to March 2023. The instruments used consisted of three components including validation testing of the product by technology and content experts, as well as practicality testing of the product by users. In general, the samples were selected using the purposive sampling method resulting in 30 nursing students, while the validation test samples included five content and three technology experts. Results: The results showed that the Mobile Learning Application for the Clinic Education Management Information System (CEMIS) with users including academic and clinical preceptors, along with students featured 12 components covering Cognitive, Psychomotor, and Affective abilities, as well as Supporting factors, and Evaluation Results. The validity test yielded 87.90% (Very feasible) by technology experts, and 88.52% by material experts (Very feasible). Meanwhile, the practicality test produced a value estimated at 85.05% (Practical). Conclusion: The CEMIS Mobile Learning Application was declared a valid and practical clinical learning media for academic and clinical preceptors, as well as students, corresponding with the desired outcomes and standards in Indonesia. Introduction: The elderly population has become a global phenomenon. Almost every country in the world is experiencing an increase in the elderly population There are 703 million people in the world who are 65 or older. An elderly person will require more time to fall asleep and will experience less or shorter deep sleep. Factors that affect sleep disorders include age, history of illness, drinking coffee, and smoking cigarettes. To improve sleep quality in the elderly, a deep breathing relaxation technique, specifically the box breathing relaxation technique, is required. Aim: Research to identify the effect of box breathing on sleep disorders in the elderly at Tresna Werdha Social Institution, Bekasi City. Methods: In this, the quasi-experiment design was employed, which included a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design with an intervention group and a control group. The sample size in this study was 62 respondents and was divided into two groups, including 31 elderly people in the intervention group and 31 respondents in the control group. Results: It can be seen that the average difference in posttest minus pretest scores (posttest-pretest) or expressed as Δ mean in the intervention group of 5.29 and in the control group of 0.32. With a p value of 0.000 (p>0.05), there are statistically significant differences in social sleep disorder in the elderly in Tresna Werdha Bekasi City in 2022 between the intervention and control groups. Conclusion: The box breathing technique can be an effective intervention to improve sleep quality in elderly individuals. The results showed a statistically significant improvement in sleep quality. Introduction: Uncontrolled hypertension is a leading cause of death worldwide and self-care is one of the essential management strategies. However, data regarding the psychometric properties of self-care instruments in the Indonesian context is lacking. This study aims to validate the Hypertension Self-care Profile (HBP SCP) instrument in the Indonesia version. Methods: A forward-backward translation technique was used for the Hypertension (HBP SCP) questionnaire. This questionnaire had three domains namely motivation, self-efficacy, and behavior. It was completed by a total of 191 respondents and the survey was conducted from September to December 2021 in the Health Primary Care Bandung West Java, Indonesia. The Cronbach's alpha was used to test the reliability scale, the content validity index was assessed by five experts, and item inter-correlation was analyzed to test the total items. Results: The results showed that the content validity index was in the excellent category with a value of 0.89. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.875, indicating satisfactory internal consistency. Furthermore, the total items correlation had a significance value of 0.05 (df = N-2) for the three scales namely 0.353-0.742, 0.302-0.642, and 0.237-0.649 for motivation, self-efficacy, and behavior, respectively. Introduction: Down syndrome is a genetic syndrome that causes sufferers to experience delays in growth, disability, physical weakness and have a relatively low IQ.There are 8 million people with Down syndrome in the world, of which 3,000-5,000 children are born with chromosomal abnormalities per year.Every child has a developmental task, including children with Down syndrome.One of the developmental tasks that must be achieved by children is to achieve independence.To achieve the level of independence in children with Down syndrome, children need to get a therapy, one of which is occupational therapy.The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of occupational therapy on increasing the eating independence of school-age children with Down syndrome at the Kendari Autism Service Center. Methods: The type of research used in this study was pre-experimental with a onegroup pretest-posttest design.The population in this study were 60 children with Down syndrome who were at the Kendari Autism Service Center.The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a total sample of 52 people. Results: The results of the study is eating independence before being given occupational therapy was in the independent category with a median value (minimum-maximum) of 14.00 (0-36), after being given occupational therapy, the respondents were in the independent category with a median value (minimum-maximum) of 57.00 (36-64).The results of the Wilcoxon analysis showed that the value of p = 0.001 <0.05. Conclusion: The administration of occupational therapy is effective in increasing eating independence in school-age children with Down syndrome at the Kendari Autism Service Center. Introduction: Accidents including traffic accidents can occur anywhere, anytime. Around the world, 1.2 million die each year from accidents, and 50 million are injured. Indonesia has the fifth highest rate of accidents. The consequences of unexpected accidents can be life threatening, on an average one traffic accident occurs every 0.5 minutes. Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is an individual's skill to save a person's life. This is very important in the first five minutes in a victim's life in many emergency situations. In an emergency, bystander including children in the high school is expected to perform a core role in carrying out CPR. The aim of this study is to determine CPR knowledge in High School. Methods: The type of research is a pre-experimental research by approaching the One Group Pre and Post Test Design. Intervention study using pre and post-test validated questionnaire was conducted among 40 students of Tunas Husada high school that were randomly selected. Data analysis was performed with the Macnemar test. Results: The results of the study obtained p= 0.000 which is less than 0.05, so result of the study reveal significant difference in knowledge before and after health education. Thus, there is an effect of health education in increasing knowledge of first aid in traffic accidents among students at Tunas Husada high school, Kendari. Conclusion: This study identify that majority students has poor knowledge on CPR. Therefore, implementation of basic life-support training for all school children is recommenced. Introduction: Chronic kidney disease is a public health problem in the world which is increasing every year. Hemodialysis is one of the methods commonly used for patients with end-stage chronic kidney disease. However, hemodialysis does not cure the disease and requires long term therapy. So, the patient's decision whether to undergo hemodialysis, is crucial. Methods: This study is aimed to identify the factors associated with decision making in patients with end-stage chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis in the Bahteramas General Hospital of Southeast Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. This study is a descriptive-analytic study using a cross-sectional design to observe the relationship between patients' decision making for hemodialysis. Results: A total of 34 patients with end-stage chronic kidney disease were chosen by accidental sampling technique. Analysis of the data was done by the Chi-Square test. The results of this study showed that age, level of knowledge, and family support have a significant relationship with the patient's decision for hemodialysis. The distance of home and economic status showed no relationship with the patient's decision to undergo hemodialysis. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that age, level of knowledge and family support is related to the patient's decision to hemodialysis in the Bahteramas General Hospital of Southeast Sulawesi Province.
