The study aims to portray the implementation of bilingual language policy and its implications for multiculturalism and internationalization of higher education. The meta-analysis research design enables the researchers in this study to search the available published public documents that are relevant for this study. The result of the study indicates that the implementation of language policy on bilingual education in higher education contexts facilitates the preservation of local and national identities, fosters multicultural pedagogical interaction, and supports the internationalization of universities. This study recommends further in-depth investigation in a multicultural setting with longitudinal approach.

This paper aims to explore the kinds of clinical language expressions practiced by Indonesian counsellors. This qualitative study applies purpose sampling of 17 key participants who are counsellors. The data for this study are taken from semi-structured interviews. The semi-structured interviews allow the flexibility of the researchers to prompt the questions. The findings of the data reveal that clinical language expressions begins with the expressions of the exploration of counselees, condition of counselees, the critical aspects of the counselling activities, empathy and sympathy. In addition, the research findings encounters he reasons of using particular language expressions such as comfortability, client condition, and the flow of the counselling activities. This study recommends that the comprehension of the clinical language expressions can assist the counsellors for the success of counselling activities. Since this study is limited to the key participants, the researchers recommends for further broader and comprehensive study with different geographical settings.

Guidance and counseling teachers play an important role in students' career planning and dealing with students' problems. The primary objective of this study is to examine the influence of knowledge of guidance and counseling services as well as attitudes toward guidance on the performance of high school guidance teachers by measures of partial and multiple correlation. This study was conducted with a quantitative approach using the explanatory survey method. By employing a simple random sampling technique, the sample obtained consisted of 145 junior and senior high school guidance teachers. The data was analyzed with descriptive statistics using regression test methodology. The study results show that the level of knowledge of guidance and counseling for guidance teachers falls in the "moderate" category, the attitudes toward guidance tend to be on the positive side, whereas the results suggest the performance of guidance teachers is in the "high" category. It was found that the influence of knowledge of guidance and counseling services is positive and significant on the performance of guidance teachers. The influence of attitudes toward guidance is positive and significant on the performance of guidance teachers. Knowledge of guidance and counseling services and attitudes toward guidance jointly influence the performance of high school guidance teachers.

This study measures the effect of strategic collaboration approach on the Educational National Standards (ENS) and the basic education service quality at local government in Indonesia The research used a quantitative method. We used 489 teachers and 271 school principals in primary and secondary schools. The data were collected through questionnaires for the quantitative data and analyze using a structural model. The research findings confirm strategic collaboration approach has a positive and significant effect on ENS and basic education service quality. Further, the educational national standards have a positive and significant effect on the basic education service. In this study, we found that the strategic collaboration approach may employ in basic education to perform basic education performance. We argue that to better implementation of strategic collaboration approach, the greater improvement of the achievement of ENS and basic education service quality at local government in Indonesia.

Purpose: This study aims at investigating the indirect effect of soft skills on career engagement through the role of psychological capital (PsyCap) in different age groups. The social cognitive theory (SCT) and job demands-resource model (JD-R) were employed to explain the effect of perceived skill mastery on PsyCap and career engagement. Design/methodology/approach: The data were collected from 707 high school students, 150 university students and 165 employees using a three-wave data collection technique. This study measured soft skills, PsyCap and career engagement at different age groups (i.e. high school students, university students and employees). The data were analysed using a moderated-mediation technique. Findings: The results showed that soft skills positively influenced PsyCap and eventually increased career engagement in all age groups. However, the effect was stronger for students (both in high school and university) than employees in the workplaces. Unlike most students, employees related soft skills to performance. Regardless of the effect on performance, students would be more likely than employees to perceive soft skill mastery as a source of efficacy. Research limitations/implications: First, the education system should direct more attention to developing students' non-cognitive skills. Second, people should understand that their career advancement continues in the workplace context. Organizations can foster employees' soft skills by providing more opportunities to develop new skills. Originality/value: This study sheds light on the importance of soft skills beyond academic and workplace performance. This study is among the few empirical investigations that reveal career engagement factors across different career development stages.

The results of this research on efforts to improve public trust are based on the implementation of the functions and roles of the Bhayangkara Trustee of Public Security and Order (Bhabinkamtibmas). Actual, acuity, reliable data, information, and knowledge as answers to the questions What, Why, Where, When, Who, and How (5W1H) improve public trust based on the re-actualization of the role of Bhabinkamtibmas actors using descriptive-qualitative research methods with normative approaches and factual approaches. The results of the study found that public trust is a keyword as well as a key success factor in improving the image of individuals and institutions (organizations) of service providers throughout the world, including at the locus of duty and the role of Bhabinkamtibmas in Makassar City, the capital of South Sulawesi Province of Indonesia. Likewise, public trust is a necessity for realizing good governance, and accountable, acceptable, and happy service recipients. Therefore, public trust is a panacea that is effective when individual actors and public institutions at all levels of government, including Bhabinkamtibmas, expect an image of an organization (institution) capable of performing its functions. Corruption is no longer a new phenomenon in public organizations in various countries, including in Indonesia because corruption has long been a part of irregular activities carried out by public officials, especially irregularities in government goods/service procurement projects to gain personal and group benefits. The results of this exploratory descriptive study explain the Knowledge Management Approach (KMA) as an alternative strategy in handling Corruption Risk in cross-sectoral infrastructure development programs in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Primary data were collected from observations and interviews with several parties involved in cross-sectoral infrastructure development programs. Meanwhile, secondary data comes from the mass media and documentation of infrastructure development projects in South Sulawesi. The results of the study found that in the implementation of cross-sectoral programs for infrastructure development in South Sulawesi, KMA was applied as an alternative strategy in dealing with the risk of corruption, but it was still incidental in the event of problems and had not been carried out in a coordinated, integrated, synchronized and simplified manner in all programs. Implementation, which is still incidental, can be seen from the tacit and explicit knowledge that has not been created in all cross-sectoral infrastructure development programs. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen commitment from top management and the involvement of all collaborative-adaptive actors in the team tasked with managing corruption risk collectively. Meanwhile, the application of KMA is carried out through knowledge sharing and knowledge creation processes according to the SEKI model to all parties interested in implementing multi-sectoral development programs. The presented study aimed to develop a cognitive stimulation package for 2-3-year-old children and examine the effectiveness of the product in facilitating children's cognitive development at home. The study consisted of six phases, namely analysis, design, prototype development, formative evaluation, implementation, and summative evaluation. The analysis phase of this study involved 147 mothers and 3 experts. The participants in the formative evaluation phase consisted of 10 mothers, while the participants in the implementation and summative evaluation stages consisted of 20 mothers. The results of the experts' and target users' assessments suggest that the cognitive stimulation package developed in this study is valid and practical. In addition, the stimulation package has also been proven effective in facilitating the cognitive development of 2-3-year-old children at home. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
