Surveys conducted by the International Migration and Gender Research Institute (Brussels, Belgium (IMAGRI) in Europe in December 2021 – January 2022, and, forced to continue after 24 February, 2022, made it possible to obtain the opinion of post-Soviet migration on their attitude to European values and the prospects of Europe and Europeans in the light of the emergence of “force majeure” migration – an avalanche-like resettlement of millions of Ukrainians to Europe. IMAGRI has been operating in Brussels since 2009, studying migration from countries that formed on the territory of the collapsed USSR (post-Soviet migration), in particular, the WMA category (“advanced migration”). The focus of the present study is the concept of tolerance – both on the part of local residents of European countries accepting migration, and migrants themselves in relation to local residents. Polls were conducted in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland; expert opinions were collected in Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland. The purpose of the article is to study the level of tolerance of European migration of the WMA category at the turn of 2021–2022 and February-March 2022. In the course of the study, the following methods were used: the method of anonymous questionnaires (including online – in the absence of the need for personal contact between the researcher and the respondent), the method of focus sampling and the method of expert assessments. An analysis of the questionnaires of 254 migrants living in Europe for more than 5–10 years, as well as expert opinions, made it possible to confirm the conclusions of studies conducted by IMAGRI over the past years regarding the level of tolerance for advanced migration. Опросы, проведенные Международным институтом миграционных и гендерных исследований (IMAGRI) в Европе в декабре 2021 – январе 2022, и, вынужденно продолженные после 24 февраля 2022 г., позволили получить мнение постсоветской миграции об ее отношении к европейским ценностям и перспективах Европы и европейцев в свете возникновения «форс-мажорной» миграции – лавинообразного переселения в Европу миллионов жителей Украины. IMAGRI работает в Брюсселе с 2009 г., изучает миграцию из стран, образовавшихся на территории распавшегося СССР (постсоветскую миграцию), в частности, категорию WMA («продвинутую миграцию»). В фокусе данного исследования находится понятие толерантности – как со стороны местных жителей европейских стран, принимающих миграцию, так и самих мигрантов по отношению к местным жителям. Опросы проводились в Бельгии, Нидерландах, Германии, Чехии, Польше; экспертные оценки собраны в Бельгии, Германии, Чехии, Польше. Цель статьи – исследование уровня толерантности в среде европейской миграции категории WMA на рубеже 2021–2022 гг. и в феврале– марте 2022 г. В ходе исследования были использованы: метод анонимного анкетирования (в том числе, онлайн – в случае отсутствия необходимости личного контакта исследователя и респондента), метод фокус-выборки и метод экспертных оценок. Анализ анкет 254 мигрантов, проживающих в Европе более 5–10 лет, а также экспертных заключений, позволил подтвердить выводы исследований, проводимых IMAGRI в течение предыдущих лет относительно уровня толерантности образованной миграции.

Since 2009 the IMAGRI Institute has been studying migration flows from the ex-USSR to Europe. Our large research and monitoring in 2009-2014 and a comparative analysis of the surveys of different groups of migrants have demonstrated: the principles of one common language and one common geographical space traditionally considered to be basic for integration for this part of migrants are not valid. According to our observations, since 2012 the structure of migration, in particular in Belgium, has begun to change rapidly; there is also a noticeable rapid quantitative growth. The presented analytical article is based on the results of experts’ interviews in Belgium and is devoted to structural and cultural changes of international migration flows over the past 5 years. Наше большое исследование и мониторинги 2009-2014 гг., и сравнительный анализ анкет разных групп мигрантов продемонстрировали: традиционно считавшиеся основополагающими для интеграции принципы одного общего языка и одного общего географического пространства для данной части мигрантов не работают. По нашим наблюдениям, с 2012 г. структура миграции, в частности, в Бельгии, начала стремительно меняться; отмечается также ее заметный стремительный количественный рост. Данная аналитическая статья подготовлена по результатам экспертных интервью в Бельгии и посвящена вопросам структурных и культурных изменений за последние 5 лет.

A case of osteoporosis secondary to primary hyperparathyroidism is reported. A 55-year-old woman presented with a history of persistent lumbar backache for 3 years; numerous radiographs taken during this period had shown 'osteoporosis in keeping with age'. Referral to the Endocrine Clinic to evaluate the osteoporosis resulted in baseline investigations which revealed a raised serum calcium level, further investigation of which led to the diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism. Recent studies have shown that, over the past two decades, diffuse undermineralization of the bones (osteopenial is the most common radiological feature in primary hyperparattiyroidism.

Musical source separation methods exploit source-specific spectral characteristics to facilitate the decomposition process. Kernel Additive Modelling (KAM) models a source applying robust statistics to time-frequency bins as specified by a source-specific kernel, a function defining similarity between bins. Kernels in existing approaches are typically defined using metrics between single time frames. In the presence of noise and other sound sources information from a single-frame, however, turns out to be unreliable and often incorrect frames are selected as similar. In this paper, we incorporate a temporal context into the kernel to provide additional information stabilizing the similarity search.
