The selection of the most appropriate underground mining technology is not a simple process because it involves handling of a large amount of information about several potential methods. Multicriteria optimization approaches are proven useful tools for ranking alternatives, especially in cases where multiple complex criteria have to be considered simultaneously. An ore deposit is a complex system because of its geology, physical and mechanical properties, and hydrogeological conditions. As such, problem solving requires a heuristic approach and includes tasks involving expert judgement, intuition, estimation, and experience. Using a heuristic strategy to state a problem means that the analyst is placed in a position to apply past experience to a future situation and existing knowledge to new circumstances, as well as discover new avenues to creative problem solving. A complex algorithm was developed to pave the way to quality management of mining, by using the VIKOR method to rank various mining technologies relative to a set of criteria and select the optimum mining method that will primarily ensure profitable and safe mining.

After the migration of Serbs in 1690 and 1735, the exploitation of mines in the area of present-day Serbia ceased, and after a standstill of nearly 200 years, the mining and metallurgical activities in Serbia were activated in the second quarter of the 20th century. The first concessions were bought by England in 1926, then the mines in Stari Trg (1927), Kišnica (1927), Ajvalija (1930), Novo Brdo (1933) were activated, and the Flotation (1930) and Smelter with Lead Refinery began to operate (1939) in Zvečan. In Kosovska Mitrovica, the chemical industry began operating in 1961, the Zinc Metallurgy and Lead Battery Factory in 1967, and all production facilities were expanded and modernized several times. The most intensive production and investment period of the "Trepča" Combine was in the period 1965-1985, when "Trepča" was a well-known producer of lead, zinc, silver, gold, cadmium, bismuth and products made of these metals. After 1990, the production declined for several reasons and, in 1999, the international army stopped production in "Trepča". In the past twenty years, the production has not been completely renewed nor the status of the "Trepča" Combine has not been regulated.

2 30 11 47 M50 М52 Posle seobe Srba 1690. i 1735. godine, dolazi do prestanka eksploatacije rudnika na prostoru sadašnje Srbije i nakon zastoja od blizu 200 godina, aktivirana je rudarsko-metalurška delatnost u Srbiji u drugom kvartalu 20. veka. Prve koncesije otkupili su Englezi 1926. godine, zatim se aktiviraju rudnici u Starom Trgu (1927.), Kišnici (1927.), Ajvaliji (1930.), Novom Brdu (1933.), a u Zvečanu počinje da radi Flotacija (1930.) i Topionica sa Rafinerijom olova (1939.). U Kosovskoj Mitrovici počinje sa radom hemijska industruja 1961. godine, Metalurgija cinka i Fabrika olovnih akumulatora 1967. godine, a svi proizvodni pogoni više puta su proširivani i modernizovani. Najintenzivniji proizvodno-investicioni period Kombinata „Trepča“ bio je od 1965-1985. godine kada je „Trepča“ bila poznati proizvođač olova, cinka, srebra, zlata, kadmijuma, bizmuta i proizvoda od ovih metala. Posle 1990. godine dolazi do opadanja proizvodnje iz više razloga, a međunarodna vojska 1999. godine obustavila je proizvodnju u „Trepči“. U proteklih dvadeset godina još uvek nije u potpunosti obnovljena proizvodnja niti je regulisan status Kombinata „Trepča“.

Present company Trepca-Sever is formed by foreigners after the bombing of Serbia and Montenegro in 1999, and it is a part of former Trepca Conglomerate located in northern part of Kosovo and Metohija, namely in three municipalities: North Kosovska Mitrovica, Zvecan and Leposavic. Main office of Trepca Conglomerate was always in Zvecan, flotation of lead-zinc ore (in the period of 1930-1985), lead smelting and refining plants (founded in 1939), laboratory, Institute, electromechanical workshops and other ancillary services. In Leposavic flotation, ores of Kopaonik mines are processed, while financial and commercial services are located in the North Kosovska Mitrovica.

Atmospheric pollutants have a negative effect on the plants; they can have direct toxic effects, or indirectly by changing soil pH followed by solubilization of toxic salts of metals. Large number of studies have investigated the possible effects of ambient air pollution on vegetation and air pollution in stomata number and size and stomatal apparatus. The primary aim of this study was to impact air pollution from the aspect of presence SO2, NOX, CO2, O3 and PM10 on vegetation in the city of Banja Luka and stomatal response to air pollution, through a review of existing research.

Urban forests are part of the public city space and have multiple significance. Various roles of greenery (health, social, aesthetic, cultural, educational, etc.) improve the quality of life in the city. Urban forests can play key roles in mitigate stormwater runoff, improve air quality, reduces noise level, store carbon, etc. The system of green areas in a continuous and dynamic interaction with the built structure in a city. Because of the above, subject of the research is determining the state of greenery in the Banja Luka area and the changes that accompany it and to suggest the planning of green areas and protect them.

During blasting operations, the potential energy of explosive materials is transformed into a mechanical work. That energy, in the vicinity of blasting location, destructs and crushes rock mass, a bit further creates cracks and permanent deformations in the rock mass, and even further it is being transformed into elastic deformations. The effect of elastic seismic wave is movement of particles of the rock mass from its equilibrium position. Such oscillation of the rock mass particles is manifested as a shock and represents one of the negative effects of blasting. In order both to evaluate and control the seismic effect of blasting, as well as to plan it, the determination of soil oscillation law is required, with the strike: mine field - facilities to be protected. One of the most commonly used equations is that of M. A. Sadovski defining the law of alteration in the oscillation velocity of the soil depending on the distance, the explosive amount, and conditions of blasting and geologic characteristics of the soil, being determined on the basis of test blasting for the specific work environment. In this paper, an analysis of the method for the determination of soil oscillation law parameters has been conducted, suggested by Professor M. A. Sadovski. The applicability of this law was analyzed on examples of mass blasting in the 'Nepričava' Open Pit Mine being carried out in order to exploit the deposit. To determine parameters in the equation of Sadovski, in addition to the common method of least squares, another model was applied. Thereby, it has been stated that both models can be used to calculate the oscillation velocity of the rock mass.
