This study examines the relationship between selfassessment policy, Single Identity Number (SIN), and tax management data bank with tax revenue and corruption prevention. It is used the descriptive analysis with an inductive method in which the researchers describe the state of the object under study, collect and analyze data to provide a systematic, logical explanation. It is showed that SIN can simplify the population database system, ensure the data population's integrity and accuracy, and integrate all financial and non-financial data. Tiwai (Eleutherine americana Merr) is a medical plant which has indicated potentially as hypercholesterolemia medicine. This research was aimed to investigate the cholesterol-lowering ability of Tiwai Herbal Drink (THD) in human bloods. Two weeks clinical observation was conducted with 12 volunteers. The volunteers are in age between 40 and 65 years old with a cholesterol level above 220 mg/dL, and are not currently using any cholesterol-lowering drugs. The study was divided into two periods, first week as a control (without giving THD) and the second week was treated with THD two times a day. THD were prepared in dried and brewed before drink. The serum cholesterol was measured before, during and after volunteers drank THD. The collections of blood sample are taken before and after treatment. Paired-sample t test were used to determine the comparability of value of THD and control group. The results conclude that consumption of THD for 7 days could reduce 5.33 mg/dL of total cholesterol in comparison to control but not HDL, LDL and Triacylglycerol. The ratio of HDL/LDL ranged between 0.26-0.56. The THD may reduce total cholesterol patients following a good diet with 2 times day consumption. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Supplementation of vitamin E and selenium improved the productivity of livestock. This study aims to evaluate the effect of vitamin E and selenium supplementation on different diets of IPB D-2 chickens during 15-21 weeks. Completely randomized factorial 2 x 2 (factor A was diet type and factor B was vitamin E supplementation) and five replications was used in this experiment. The variables observed were performance, blood profile, organ immunity and percentage of carcass weight. The results showed that diet type had a significant effect (P < 0.05) on feed consumption in the developer and layer periods and had a highly significant effect (P < 0.01) on feed consumption in the pre-layer period and body weight gain in the layer period. Vitamin E and selenium supplementation had a significant effect (P > 0.05) on pre-layer feed consumption. The blood profile was in normal range with optimal stress levels. There was significantly interaction (P < 0.05) between diet type and vitamin E supplementation on carcass percentage and highly significantly interaction (P < 0.01) on layer feed conversion. Parameters of immune organ and egg production were not affected by treatment. The diet type was reduced by 5% from the standard with supplementation vitamin E dan selenium showed the best result for IPB D-2 chicken performance.

The landfill gas technology has been implemented in some landfill in urban area of Indonesia. Bantargebang integrated waste treatment (TPST Bantargebang) is the first landfill completed with energy recovery facility, landfill gas technology. TPST Bantargebang power plant established in 2010 and supplied electricity to grid. The electrical energy supplied tend to decrease and only reaches 2.4 GWh in 2017. Energy potential is important to evaluated for knowing the performance of TPST Bantargebang power plant. By using Modified Triangular Method, obtained the results that the electricity energy potential equal to 4.5 GWh. The calculation also estimate the emission reduction potential about 4325.88 tCO2/year, and economic potential from sales of electricity about 3.7 billion rupiah.

In Indonesia, the waste to energy conversion technology has been installed and operate in some landfill, such as Bantargebang landfill where applied landfill gas recovery methods. Evaluate the running process is important to optimize the installed facilities and the other potential technology. This paper aims to evaluate the running process technology in Bantargebang landfill compare with the other waste to energy technology so it can be used as a reference for upgrading technology. Evaluation using Multi Criteria Decision Making techninque with observe method Analitycal Hierarcy Process adopt energy (energy content and net electrical output), environment (MSW reduction and GHG emission), and economic (initial cost and operation maintenance cost) as criterions. The results shows that the anaerobic digestion as alternative technology is the best technology with total point 2.71, followed by inceneration pelletization at second rank with total point 2.70, and running process landfill gas recovery at third rank with total point 2.56.

The oil palm-pollinating weevil ( Elaeidobius kamerunicus Faust) was introduced from Cameroon, West Africa, to Malaysia in 1981, and subsequently, to other oil palm-growing countries as well. This study aims to develop a set of robust E. kamerunicus -specific nuclear DNA markers to directly assess the genetic diversity of the weevil populations. A total of 19,148 SNP and 223,200 SSR were discovered from 48 weevils representing three origins (Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Riau) using RAD tag sequencing. Subsequent filtering steps further reduced these to 1000 SNP and 120 SSR. The selected 220 SNP exhibited a polymorphism information content (PIC) of 0.2387 (±0.1280), and 8 SSR had the PIC of 0.5084 (±0.1928). These markers were found to show sufficient polymorphism, making it possible to assign 180 weevils into three major clusters from Ghana, Cameroon, and Southeast Asia (mainly in Malaysia and Indonesia). These DNA markers successfully confirmed the Cameroon origin of the Southeast Asian cluster. However, the presence of null alleles in the SSR markers, due to limited flexibility of the probe design on the short RAD tags, led to an underestimation of heterozygosity within the populations. Hence, the developed SNP markers turned out to be more efficient than the SSR markers in the genetic diversity assessment of the E. kamerunicus populations. The genetic information provides useful insight into developing guidelines for the genetic monitoring and conservation planning of E. kamerunicus .

Cassava leaves contain albumin, fat, carbohydrates, vitamin A, vitamin B1, and fibers, thus having the potential to be used as an ingredient in production of cookies. The purpose of this research was to determine the optimum ratios between wheat flour, cassava puree and cassava leaves flour to produces cookies with good nutritional profile. This study was conducted as Completely Randomized Designs with five treatment, namely the ratios between wheat flour: cassava puree: cassava leaves flour (WF:CP:CLF) in grams of 50 : 50 : 0, 49 : 49 : 2, 48 : 48 : 4, 47 : 47 : 6 and 46 : 46 : 8. Each treatment was replicated thrice. Parameters observed were the nutritional content, sensory acceptance, antioxidant activity and glycemic index (GI) of the cookies. The data obtained were analysed with ANOVA, continued by LSD test at α=0.05 for treatment showed a significant effect. The result showed that the chemical characteristics of the cookies were 1.46-5.12, 0.23-2.10, 10.67-20.76, 1.20-4.26, 8.36-10.94 and 64.75-74.09% for moisture content, ash, fat, fibre, protein and carbohydrate, respectively. The energy and antioxidant activity (IC 50 ) of the cookies was at the range of 426.31-480.30 kcal/100 g and 151-200 ppm. The most preferred sample was the one with WF : CP : CLF of 49 : 49 : 2 with a GI value of 77.4. This study showed that cassava leaves flour has potential as an alternative ingredient in improving the nutrition profile of cookies production.

Less than half of anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions remain in the atmosphere. While carbon balance models imply large carbon uptake in tropical forests, direct on-the-ground observations are still lacking in Southeast Asia. Here, using long-term plot monitoring records of up to half a century, we find that intact forests in Borneo gained 0.43 Mg C ha -1 per year (95% CI 0.14-0.72, mean period 1988-2010) above-ground live biomass. These results closely match those from African and Amazonian plot networks, suggesting that the world's remaining intact tropical forests are now en masse out-of-equilibrium. Although both pan-tropical and long-term, the sink in remaining intact forests appears vulnerable to climate and land use changes. Across Borneo the 1997-1998 El Niño drought temporarily halted the carbon sink by increasing tree mortality, while fragmentation persistently offset the sink and turned many edge-affected forests into a carbon source to the atmosphere.
