Abstract

Due to new technological developments in the field of photogrammetry, camera technology, electronics and informatics, the reconstruction of solid bodies with the help of high resolution photography from different positions is common sense, latest after the appearance of Google Earth. The reconstructed bodies can vary in size, if the bodies to be reconstructed are buildings, aerial photography is applied. Depending on the site and the object different methods can be chosen for the aerial data collection with different efforts and risks. The options can be manned carriers like a helicopter or today in coming, unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Manned flights are expensive and a common multicopter with an adequate resolution camera system is for some building types to heavy and a crash would be too risky because of the caused possible damage on the building, carrier and camera system. These cases can be e.g. antique buildings in cities. For antique buildings we propose a lighter than air carrier system with a lenticular shape and an elastic body. The advantages are lower costs, longer endurance, low risks and higher payload capacity. One has to take the weather more in attention. In the following the description and discussion of the carrier, different data collection modes and the results takes place shown on a reference antique building.

Abstract

Dieser realen Vision fühlt sich die Gastvortragsreihe Logistik verpflichtet, die in diesem Jahr bereits zum neunten Mal durchgeführt wird. Abstract

We describe the long-term follow up of infants after neonatal stroke of the middle cerebral artery (MCA). Stroke was diagnosed by CT scan in eight full-term neonates. Three dimensional (volume) magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) is a noninvasive technique that images the arterial vessels without contrast agents. All patients, aged from 1.5 to 8.4 years, were investigated by MRI and MRA and by neuropsychological tests. Cognitive development was investigated by intelligence tests, tests of visual perception, motor and language development. Out of the eight patients, seven had a retarded mental and motor development, and 50% of the children were treated for epilepsy. Seven patients had a spastic hemiparesis. Seven out of eight children showed major cognitive deficits. In all patients, MRI revealed clear parenchymal defects with variable distribution patterns. MRA studies showed abnormalities corresponding to the expected vascular distribution. Children with complications at delivery, with seizures, and an interruption of the main stem of MCA as demonstrated on MRA had the least favourable long-term follow up prognosis with severe cognitive delays. 38. Lattice Theory Predictions of Nonrandom Behavior in Square-Well Fluids

Abstract

A new attractive term for the equation of state (EOS) of square-well fluids has been developed by using an off-lattice mean-field term in an approximate solution for the lattice gas. van der Waals theory predicts that the attractive contribution to the compressibility factor is proportional to the inverse of temperature and volume. However, there are deviations from van der Waals behavior due to both molecular repulsions and molecular attractions. Here, deviations due to repulsions are predicted by first-order perturbation theory and deviations due to attractions are predicted by an approximation to the Ising model. It is shown that this new EOS shows very good agreement with simulation data for square-well fluids. The derivation of the lattice term allows rigorous extension of the EOS to mixtures without using empirical mixing rules. The EOS is applied to mixtures with an extreme difference in the attractive potentials (i.e., mixtures of hard-sphere and square-well molecules of the same core size). This exaggerates the deviations from random mixing. Mixtures of equal-sized, square-well molecules with different well depths are discussed also. Agreement with perturbation theory and computer simulations is very good.

Abstract

Background: Self-reported functional capacity measures have an uncertain role in the pre-operative cardiovascular risk stratification., Aim: This substudy aimed to evaluate whether self-reported metabolic equivalent (MET) could improve the prediction of postoperative myocardial injury (MI) over other well-established cardiovascular risk factors., Methods: This is a post hoc analysis of an international multicenter prospective cohort study. We recruited patients ≥45 years old who had elective elevated-risk noncardiac surgery in 45 centers across 17 countries between June 2017 and April 2020. The primary outcome was MI defined according to the Fourth Universal Definition of Myocardial Infarction. We measured the proportion of new prognostic information added by self-reported MET using multivariable logistic regression., Results: In total, 860 (41.3%) patients suffered MI. In patients without systematic troponin surveillance, the odds ratio for MI with each 1-point increment in MET equaled 1.03 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.99-1.07). The new prognostic information, according to the likelihood ratio adequacy index, accounted for 1.5%. Sensitivity analysis, including centers with >90% of patients with routine high-sensitivity troponin T monitoring, showed that MET added 21.8% of new information to the baseline model, and each additional point was associated with a lower risk of MI (odds ratio, 0.86; 95% CI, 0.81-0.91)., Conclusions: In elevated-risk noncardiac surgery, self-reported functional capacity measures do not significantly improve the prediction of MI; however, they add new prognostic information in centers with routine perioperative troponin monitoring.

Abstract

8-Allylcoumarins are conveniently accessible through a microwave-promoted tandem Claisen rearrangement/Wittig olefination/cyclization sequence. They serve as a versatile platform for the annellation of five- to seven-membered rings using ring-closing olefin metathesis (RCM). Furano-, pyrano-, oxepino- and azepinocoumarins were synthesized from the same set of precursors using Ru-catalyzed double bond isomerizations and RCM in a defined order. One class of products, pyrano[2,3- f ]chromene-2,8-diones, were inaccessible through direct RCM of an acrylate, but became available from the analogous allyl ether via an assisted tandem catalytic RCM/allylic oxidation sequence.
