Transgender and gender diverse (TGD) individuals are a group that experiences significant health disparities. In the multidisciplinary management of TGD patients, dermatologists may participate in managing skin‐ and hair‐related issues which contribute to gender affirmation and to the cutaneous sequelae of gender‐affirming hormone therapy. This review aims to highlight the unique needs of TGD patients, particularly from the perspective of Australian dermatologists. We review appropriate terminology critical for TGD care, gender affirmation in the Australian healthcare landscape, dermatological considerations for TGD patients and considerations for management. COVID‐19 compounded existing barriers to healthcare for rural patients. We completed a retrospective chart review of patients receiving Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme subsidised biologics at a Modified Monash Model 3 dermatology practice during the pandemic and examined factors contributing to successful continuation of care, particularly teledermatology. This article discusses the use of topical sirolimus as an adjunct to pulsed dye laser (PDL) treatment for pediatric capillary malformations (CMs). The efficacy of this combination treatment has shown conflicting results in previous studies, and there is limited research specifically in the pediatric setting. The authors conducted a retrospective review of pediatric patients who received PDL treatment with adjuvant topical sirolimus. They found that all patients demonstrated significant improvement in cosmesis, although burns occurred in some treatment sessions. The study is limited by its small sample size and retrospective design, but the tolerability of sirolimus in pediatric patients suggests the need for further research to better understand its therapeutic potential. High‐frequency ultrasonography represents a promising tool for pediatric dermatologists. It is a non‐invasive diagnostic technique that is particularly appealing when working with children. It can be easily performed at the patient's bedside, avoiding diagnostic delays, sedation, or multiple visits. It represents a useful adjunct to clinical examination and can enhance our understanding of cutaneous diseases. Patient cooperation and limited training and experience are the main challenges for cutaneous ultrasonography in pediatric dermatology. This review describes cutaneous ultrasonography and the nuances of its use in the pediatric setting, followed by the ultrasonographic findings of cutaneous lumps, bumps, and inflammatory dermatoses commonly encountered in pediatric patients. A 40-year-old woman presented with a 20-year history of macules and papules involving the axillae, décolletage, medial upper limbs and epigastrium (Fig. Our patient experienced the greatest improvement with Er:YAG subjectively and elected to pursue further treatment to the sternum, epigastrium and contralateral arm.
