- Abstract
Objective: The aim was to determine the unique predictors of suicide risk in first-year college students. Participants: First-year students (N = 665) at a Midwestern university participated. Methods: An online survey assessed Joiner's interpersonal factors (i.e., thwarted belongingness, perceived burdensomeness, and acquired capability) as well as intrapersonal factors (i.e., perfectionism, self-compassion, emotional intelligence/reactivity, and growth mindset) often associated with suicidal thoughts and actions. Results: Linear regression indicated that the factor set significantly predicted thoughts, F (12, 632) = 114.90, p < 0.000, R[superscript 2] = 0.680, and actions, F (12, 632) = 58.42, p < 0.000, R[superscript 2] = 0.526. Perceived burdensomeness, acquired capability, and underrepresented sexual orientation were positive predictors of both thoughts and actions, whereas growth mindset was a negative predictor of thoughts and stressful life events was a positive predictor of actions. Conclusion: The results offer direction for evidence-informed interventions aimed at reducing suicide risk in first-year college students.

We study stability, long-time behavior and moment estimates for stochastic evolution equations with additive Wiener noise and with singular drift given by a divergence type quasilinear diffusion operator which may not necessarily exhibit a homogeneous diffusivity. Our results cover the singular stochastic $p$-Laplace equations and, more generally, singular stochastic $\Phi$-Laplace equations with zero Dirichlet boundary conditions. We obtain improved moment estimates and quantitative convergence rates of the ergodic semigroup to the unique invariant measure, classified in a systematic way according to the degree of local degeneracy of the potential at the origin. We obtain new concentration results for the invariant measure and establish maximal dissipativity of the associated Kolmogorov operator. In particular, we recover the results for the curve shortening flow in the plane by Es-Sarhir, von Renesse and Stannat, NoDEA 16(9), 2012, and improve the results by Liu and T\"olle, ECP 16, 2011., Comment: 24 pages, 58 references

Abstract Background Ubiquitylation (ubi) of the intracellular domain of the Notch ligand Delta (Dl) by the E3 ligases Neuralized (Neur) and Mindbomb1 (Mib1) on lysines (Ks) is thought to be essential for the its signalling activity. Nevertheless, we have previously shown that DlK2R-HA, a Dl variant where all Ks in its intracellular domain (ICD) are replaced by the structurally similar arginine (R), still possess weak activity if over-expressed. This suggests that ubi is not absolutely required for Dl signalling. However, it is not known whether the residual activity of DlK2R-HA is an effect of over-expression and, if not, whether DlK2R can provide sufficient activity for the whole development of Drosophila. Results To clarify these issues, we generated and analysed Dl attP -DlK2R-HA, a knock-in allele into the Dl locus. Our analysis of this allele reveals that the sole presence of one copy of Dl attP -DlK2R-HA can provide sufficient activity for completion of development. It further indicates that while ubi is required for the full activity of Dl in Mib1-dependent processes, it is not essential for Neur-controlled neural development. We identify three modes of Dl signalling that are either dependent or independent of ubi. Importantly, all modes depend on the presence of the endocytic adapter Epsin. During activation of Dl, direct binding of Epsin appears not to be an essential requirement. In addition, our analysis further reveals that the Ks are required to tune down the cis-inhibitory interaction of Dl with Notch. Conclusions Our results indicate that Dl can activate the Notch pathway without ubi of its ICD. It signals via three modes. Ubi is specifically required for the Mib1-dependent processes and the adjustment of cis-inhibition. In contrast to Mib1, Neur can efficiently activate Dl without ubi. Neur probably acts as an endocytic co-adapter in addition to its role as E3 ligase. Endocytosis, regulated in a ubi-dependent or ubi-independent manner is required for signalling and also suppression of cis-inhibition. The findings clarify the role of ubi of the ligands during Notch signalling.

Medicine - Abstract
Introduction Gonorrhoea, the sexually transmissible infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, has a substantial impact on sexual and reproductive health globally with an estimated 82 million new infections each year worldwide. N. gonorrhoeae antimicrobial resistance continues to escalate, and disease control is largely reliant on effective therapy as there is no proven effective gonococcal vaccine available. However, there is increasing evidence from observational cohort studies that the serogroup B meningococcal vaccine four-component meningitis B vaccine (4CMenB) (Bexsero), licensed to prevent invasive disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis, may provide cross-protection against the closely related bacterium N. gonorrhoeae. This study will evaluate the efficacy of 4CMenB against N. gonorrhoeae infection in men (cis and trans), transwomen and non-binary people who have sex with men (hereafter referred to as GBM+).Methods and analysis This is a double-blind, randomised placebo-controlled trial in GBM+, either HIV-negative on pre-exposure prophylaxis against HIV or living with HIV (CD4 count >350 cells/mm3), who have had a diagnosis of gonorrhoea or infectious syphilis in the last 18 months (a key characteristic associated with a high risk of N. gonorrhoeae infection). Participants are randomised 1:1 to receive two doses of 4CMenB or placebo 3 months apart. Participants have 3-monthly visits over 24 months, which include testing for N. gonorrhoeae and other sexually transmissible infections, collection of demographics, sexual behaviour risks and antibiotic use, and collection of research samples for analysis of N. gonorrhoeae-specific systemic and mucosal immune responses. The primary outcome is the incidence of the first episode of N. gonorrhoeae infection, as determined by nucleic acid amplification tests, post month 4. Additional outcomes consider the incidence of symptomatic or asymptomatic N. gonorrhoeae infection at different anatomical sites (ie, urogenital, anorectum or oropharynx), incidence by N. gonorrhoeae genotype and antimicrobial resistance phenotype, and level and functional activity of N. gonorrhoeae-specific antibodies.Ethics and dissemination Ethical approval was obtained from the St Vincent’s Hospital Human Research Ethics Committee, St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, NSW, Australia (ref: 2020/ETH01084). Results will be disseminated in peer-reviewed journals and via presentation at national and international conferences.Trial registration number NCT04415424.

ABSTRACTMembers of the “Candidatus Accumulibacter” genus are widely studied as key polyphosphate-accumulating organisms (PAOs) in biological nutrient removal (BNR) facilities performing enhanced biological phosphorus removal (EBPR). This diverse lineage includes 18 “Ca. Accumulibacter” species, which have been proposed based on the phylogenetic divergence of the polyphosphate kinase 1 (ppk1) gene and genome-scale comparisons of metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs). Phylogenetic classification based on the 16S rRNA genetic marker has been difficult to attain because most “Ca. Accumulibacter” MAGs are incomplete and often do not include the rRNA operon. Here, we investigate the “Ca. Accumulibacter” diversity in pilot-scale treatment trains performing BNR under low dissolved oxygen (DO) conditions using genome-resolved metagenomics. Using long-read sequencing, we recovered medium- and high-quality MAGs for 5 of the 18 “Ca. Accumulibacter” species, all with rRNA operons assembled, which allowed a reassessment of the 16S rRNA-based phylogeny of this genus and an analysis of phylogeny based on the 23S rRNA gene. In addition, we recovered a cluster of MAGs that based on 16S rRNA, 23S rRNA, ppk1, and genome-scale phylogenetic analyses do not belong to any of the currently recognized “Ca. Accumulibacter” species for which we propose the new species designation “Ca. Accumulibacter jenkinsii” sp. nov. Relative abundance evaluations of the genus across all pilot plant operations revealed that regardless of the operational mode, “Ca. A. necessarius” and “Ca. A. propinquus” accounted for more than 40% of the “Ca. Accumulibacter” community, whereas the newly proposed “Ca. A. jenkinsii” accounted for about 5% of the “Ca. Accumulibacter” community.IMPORTANCEOne of the main drivers of energy use and operational costs in activated sludge processes is the amount of oxygen provided to enable biological phosphorus and nitrogen removal. Wastewater treatment facilities are increasingly considering reduced aeration to decrease energy consumption, and whereas successful BNR has been demonstrated in systems with minimal aeration, an adequate understanding of the microbial communities that facilitate nutrient removal under these conditions is still lacking. In this study, we used genome-resolved metagenomics to evaluate the diversity of the “Candidatus Accumulibacter” genus in pilot-scale plants operating with minimal aeration. We identified the “Ca. Accumulibacter” species enriched under these conditions, including one novel species for which we propose “Ca. Accumulibacter jenkinsii” sp. nov. as its designation. Furthermore, the MAGs obtained for five additional “Ca. Accumulibacter” species further refine the phylogeny of the “Ca. Accumulibacter” genus and provide new insight into its diversity within unconventional biological nutrient removal systems.

BackgroundAdolescence is a particularly sensitive period of development for military-connected youth, given the socioemotional and physical changes that occur against the backdrop of the military career of their parent(s). Military-connected adolescents face unique stressors relative to their civilian counterparts, such as military relocations, parental absence due to deployments and trainings, and parental military-related physical and mental injury. These stressors may change family dynamics and disrupt social support networks, which can have lasting implications for adolescent health and well-being. At present, very little is known about how the current generation of military-connected adolescents are faring regarding their psychological and physical health, academic achievement, and educational or career aspirations. As part of the Biden-Harris Administration's commitment to military families, the U.S. Department of Defense pledged to address these major knowledge gaps by supporting the Study of Adolescent Resilience (SOAR). SOAR's longitudinal design provides a powerful tool for evaluating the effects of military family life on adolescent well-being into early adulthood. Methods and designSOAR is embedded within the larger Millennium Cohort Study, the first U.S. population-based prospective study to investigate long-term health effects of military service among active duty service members. Nearly 40,000 Millennium Cohort participants with adolescent children were invited to complete a web-based self-report survey that included items across interpersonal, socioenvironmental, and health domains, among others. Military parents provided referral information for their adolescent child and another primary parental figure, when available, to be invited to SOAR. This approach allowed survey data to be linked between these three family members (service member, spouse, and adolescent) to promote a comprehensive, family systems-based understanding of military-connected adolescent experiences and determinants of health, risk, and resilience.DiscussionResearch findings will shed light on the enduring impact of military life on adolescents and the nature of associations between military-specific experiences and psychosocial health and well-being. Further, this research will assess modifiable risk and protective factors that may elucidate differences in military-connected adolescent psychosocial development and physical health, academic achievement, and educational and military career aspirations over time.ConclusionsFindings gleaned from this research will be used to inform existing policy and programs designed to promote adolescent resilience.

Deep neural networks have gained tremendous importance in many computer vision tasks. However, their power comes at the cost of large amounts of annotated data required for supervised training. In this work we review and compare different techniques available in the literature to improve training results without acquiring additional annotated real-world data. This goal is mostly achieved by applying annotation-preserving transformations to existing data or by synthetically creating more data.

The purpose of this prospective study was to determine the correct localization rate (CLR) of 18F-fluorocholine PET for the detection of parathyroid adenomas in comparison to 99mTc-sestamibi imaging. Methods: This was a single-arm prospective trial. Ninety-eight patients with biochemical evidence of primary hyperparathyroidism were imaged before parathyroidectomy using 18F-fluorocholine PET/MRI. 99mTc-sestamibi imaging performed separately from the study was evaluated for comparison. The primary endpoint of the study was the CLR on a patient level. Each imaging study was interpreted by 3 masked readers on a per-region basis. Lesions were validated by histopathologic analysis of surgical specimens. Results: Of the 98 patients who underwent 18F-fluorocholine PET, 77 subsequently underwent parathyroidectomy and 60 of those had 99mTc-sestamibi imaging. For 18F-fluorocholine PET in patients who underwent parathyroidectomy, the CLR based on the masked reader consensus was 75% (95% CI, 0.63-0.82). In patients who underwent surgery and had an available 99mTc-sestamibi study, the CLR increased from 17% (95% CI, 0.10-0.27) for 99mTc-sestamibi imaging to 70% (95% CI, 0.59-0.79) for 18F-fluorocholine PET. Conclusion: In this prospective study using masked readers, the CLR for 18F-fluorocholine PET was 75%. In patients with a paired 99mTc-sestamibi study, the use of 18F-fluorocholine PET increased the CLR from 17% to 70%. 18F-fluorocholine PET is a superior imaging modality for the localization of parathyroid adenomas.

BACKGROUND: Accurate prediction of thyroidectomy complications is necessary to inform treatment decisions. Ensemble machine learning provides one approach to improve prediction. METHODS: We applied the Super Learner (SL) algorithm to the 2016-2018 thyroidectomy-specific NSQIP database to predict complications following thyroidectomy. Cross-validation was used to assess model discrimination and precision. RESULTS: For the 17,987 patients undergoing thyroidectomy, rates of recurrent laryngeal nerve injury, post-operative hypocalcemia prior to discharge or within 30 days, and neck hematoma were 6.1%, 6.4%, 9.0%, and 1.8%, respectively. SL improved prediction of thyroidectomy-specific outcomes when compared with benchmark logistic regression approaches. For postoperative hypocalcemia prior to discharge, SL improved the cross-validated AUROC to 0.72 (95%CI 0.70-0.74) compared to 0.70 (95%CI 0.68-0.72; p

We present Simitate --- a hybrid benchmarking suite targeting the evaluation of approaches for imitation learning. A dataset containing 1938 sequences where humans perform daily activities in a realistic environment is presented. The dataset is strongly coupled with an integration into a simulator. RGB and depth streams with a resolution of 960$\mathbb{\times}$540 at 30Hz and accurate ground truth poses for the demonstrator's hand, as well as the object in 6 DOF at 120Hz are provided. Along with our dataset we provide the 3D model of the used environment, labeled object images and pre-trained models. A benchmarking suite that aims at fostering comparability and reproducibility supports the development of imitation learning approaches. Further, we propose and integrate evaluation metrics on assessing the quality of effect and trajectory of the imitation performed in simulation. Scientific competitions are crucial in the field of service robotics. They foster knowledge exchange and allow teams to test their research in unstandardized scenarios and compare result. Such is the case of RoboCup@Home. However, keeping track of all the technologies and solution approaches used by teams to solve the tests can be a challenge in itself. Moreover, after eleven years of competitions, it's easy to delve too much into the field, losing perspective and forgetting about the user's needs and long term goals. BackgroundPostoperative opioid use can lead to dependence, contributing to the opioid epidemic in the United States. New persistent opioid use after minor surgeries occurs in 5.9% of patients. With increased documentation of persistent opioid use postoperatively, surgeons must pursue interventions to reduce opioid use perioperatively.MethodsWe performed a prospective cohort study to assess the feasibility of a preoperative intervention via patient education or counseling and changes in provider prescribing patterns to reduce postoperative opioid use. We included adult patients undergoing thyroidectomy and parathyroidectomy from January 22, 2019 to February 28, 2019 at a tertiary referral, academic endocrine surgery practice. Surveys were administered to assess pain and patient satisfaction postoperatively. Prescription, demographic, and comorbidity data were collected from the electronic health record.ResultsSixty six patients (74.2% women, mean age 58.6 [SD 14.9] y) underwent thyroidectomy (n = 35), parathyroidectomy (n = 24), and other cervical endocrine operations (n = 7). All patients received a preoperative educational intervention in the form of a paper handout. 90.9% of patients were discharged with prescriptions for nonopioid pain medications, and 7.6% were given an opioid prescription on discharge. Among those who received an opioid prescription, the median quantity of opioids prescribed was 135 (IQR 120-150) oral morphine equivalents. On survey, four patients (6.1%) reported any postoperative opioid use, and 94.6% of patients expressed satisfaction with their preoperative education and postoperative pain management.ConclusionsClear and standardized education regarding postoperative pain management is feasible and associated with high patient satisfaction. Initiation of such education may support efforts to minimize unnecessary opioid prescriptions in the population undergoing endocrine surgery.

Abstract Background Up to now several subtypes of social anxiety disorder (SAD) have been proposed. Methods In the present study, we used a cluster analytic approach to identify qualitatively different subgroups of SAD based on temperament characteristics, that is, harm avoidance (HA) and novelty seeking (NS) dimensions of Cloninger’s Temperament and Character Inventory. Results Based on a large, diverse clinical sample (n = 575), we found evidence for two distinct subgroups of SAD: a larger (59%) prototypic, inhibited cluster characterized by high HA and low NS, and a smaller atypic, and comparatively more impulsive cluster characterized by medium to high HA and increased NS. The subgroups differed regarding a variety of sociodemographic and clinical variables. While the prototypic SAD subtype suffered from more severe SAD and depressive symptoms, suicidal ideation, and reduced social functioning, the atypic NS subtype showcased higher reproductive behaviour, self-directedness and -transcendence, comparatively. Additional hierarchical logistic regression highlights the contribution of age and education. Conclusions Our results valuably extend previous evidence for the existence of at least two distinct subtypes of SAD. A better knowledge of the characteristic differences in prototypic behaviour, personality, coping strategies and comorbidities between the identified (and further) subtypes can contribute to the development of effective prevention interventions and promotes the conceptualization of tailored treatments.

Scientific competitions are important in robotics because they foster knowledge exchange and allow teams to test their research in unstandardized scenarios and compare result. In the field of service robotics its role becomes crucial. Competitions like RoboCup@Home bring robots to people, a fundamental step to integrate them into society. In this paper we summarize and discuss the differences between the achievements claimed by teams in their team description papers, and the results observed during the competition^1 from a qualitative perspective. We conclude with a set of important challenges to be conquered first in order to take robots to people's homes. We believe that competitions are also an excellent opportunity to collect data of direct and unbiased interactions for further research. ^1 The authors belong to several teams who have participated in RoboCup@Home as early as 2007, Comment: 6 pages, 4 images, 3 tables Published in: 2018 IEEE International Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and Competitions (ICARSC)

We analyze a set of spatial constraints on human pose data extracted using convolutional pose machines and object informations extracted from 2D image sequences. A scene analysis, based on an ontology of objects and affordances, is combined with continuous human pose estimation and spatial object relations. Using a set of constraints we associate the observed human actions with a set of executable robot commands. We demonstrate our approach in a kitchen task, where the robot learns to prepare a meal., Comment: 6 pages, 5 figures, 3rd BAILAR workshop

Abstract Solutions for seasonal energy storage systems are essential for the reliable use of fluctuating renewable energy sources. As part of the research project SKEWS, a medium deep borehole thermal energy storage system with a depth of 750 m is under construction at Campus Lichtwiese in Darmstadt, Germany, to demonstrate this innovative technology. Prior to the design of SKEWS, the geological context in the surroundings of the project location was investigated using archive drilling data and groundwater measurements. The geologic survey suggests the assumption that the uppermost part of the intended storage domain is crosscut by a normal fault, which displaces the Permian rocks east of Darmstadt against granodioritic rocks of the Odenwald crystalline complex. A 3D finite-element numerical model was implemented to estimate the effect of the potentially higher hydraulic conductivity of the fault zone on the planned storage system. For this purpose, a storage operation over a time span of 30 years was simulated for different parametrizations of the fault zone. The simulations reveal a limited but visible heat removal from the storage region with increasing groundwater flow in the fault zone. However, the section of the borehole thermal energy storage system affected by the fault is minor compared to the total depth of the system. This only constitutes a minor impairment of the storage efficiency of approximately 3%. In total, the amount of heat extracted varies between 320.2 GWh and 326.2 GWh for the different models. These findings can be helpful for the planning and assessment of future medium deep borehole thermal energy storage systems in fractured and faulted crystalline settings by providing data about the potential impact of faults or large fractures crosscutting the storage system.

In order to enjoy a good life (mitho-pimatisiwin) and earn a good living (mitho-pimachesowin), Indigenous youth must receive innovative education and training to obtain the skills necessary to find suitable employment. Many Indigenous youth in Canada live in poverty and face challenges in obtaining suitable employment in and outside of their communities. In order to address the poverty cycle and high unemployment of Indigenous youth, the author engages the reader in various Cree concepts, discusses a blended economy training approach, and presents a hypothetical education training model whereby Indigenous youth are trained to work in a blended economy. This blended economy consists of both local economic and Western economic industries. Training within this blended economy will take place within Indigenous communities and will incorporate and utilize the Indigenous community as a whole in the training of Indigenous students. The Cree concept of wahkootowin (or wâhkôhtowin) is the basis to guide this training. In training students utilizing the grassroots community, students will be able to learn through traditional methods, and learn their culture and use cultural concepts to learn valuable skills in a way that is innovative and unique to Indigenous People. It is the hope of the author that Indigenous youth will attain the self-confidence to achieve the dreams and goals that may have been previously unattainable. With new approaches to learning such as those suggested in this article, there is a brighter future for our Indigenous youth in Canada. This article is a chapter in the open textbook Indigenous Self-Determination through Mitho Pimachesowin (Ability to Make a Good Living) developed for the University of Saskatchewan course Indigenous Studies 410/810, and hosted by the Northern Review., Introduction Training Indigenous youth to obtain employment in a blended economy is key to eliminating poverty and high unemployment in many Indigenous communities in Canada. This article provides an understanding [...]

Abstract Background Chronic disease is the leading cause of premature death globally, and many of these deaths are preventable by modifying some key behavioural and metabolic risk factors. This study examines changes in health behaviours among men and women at risk of diabetes or cardiovascular disease (CVD) who participated in a 6-month lifestyle intervention called the My health for life program. Methods The My health for life program is a Queensland Government-funded multi-component program designed to reduce chronic disease risk factors amongst at-risk adults in Queensland, Australia. The intervention comprises six sessions over a 6-month period, delivered by a trained facilitator or telephone health coach. The analysis presented in this paper stems from 9,372 participants who participated in the program between July 2017 and December 2019. Primary outcomes included fruit and vegetable intake, consumption of sugar-sweetened drinks and take-away, alcohol consumption, tobacco smoking, and physical activity. Variables were summed to form a single Healthy Lifestyle Index (HLI) ranging from 0 to 13, with higher scores denoting healthier behaviours. Longitudinal associations between lifestyle indices, program characteristics and socio-demographic characteristics were assessed using Gaussian Generalized Estimating Equations (GEE) models with an identity link and robust standard errors. Results Improvements in HLI scores were noted between baseline (Md = 8.8; IQR = 7.0, 10.0) and 26-weeks (Md = 10.0; IQR = 9.0, 11.0) which corresponded with increases in fruit and vegetable consumption and decreases in takeaway frequency (p

Abstract Background The residual effects of cancer and its treatment can profoundly affect women’s quality of life. This paper presents results from a multisite randomized controlled trial that evaluated the clinical benefits of an e-health enabled health promotion intervention (the Women’s Wellness after Cancer Program or WWACP) on the health-related quality of life of women recovering from cancer treatment. Methods Overall, 351 women previously treated for breast, blood or gynaecological cancers were randomly allocated to the intervention (WWACP) or usual care arms. The WWACP comprised a structured 12-week program that included online coaching and an interactive iBook that targeted physical activity, healthy diet, stress and menopause management, sexual wellbeing, smoking cessation, alcohol intake and sleep hygiene. Data were collected via a self-completed electronic survey at baseline (t0), 12 weeks (post-intervention, t1) and 24 weeks (to assess sustained behaviour change, t2). The primary outcome, health-related quality of life (HRQoL), was measured using the Short Form Health Survey (SF-36). Results Following the 12-week lifestyle program, intervention group participants reported statistically significant improvements in general health, bodily pain, vitality, and global physical and mental health scores. Improvements were also noted in the control group across several HRQoL domains, though the magnitude of change was less. Conclusions The WWACP was associated with improved HRQoL in women previously treated for blood, breast, and gynaecological cancers. Given how the synergy of different lifestyle factors influence health behaviour, interventions accounting for the reciprocity of multiple health behaviours like the WWACP, have real potential for immediate and sustainable change. Trial registration The protocol for this randomised controlled trial was submitted to the Australian and New Zealand Clinical Trials Registry on 15/07/2014 and approved on 28/07/2014 ( ACTRN12614000800628 ).

The crystalline basement is considered a ubiquitous and almost inexhaustible source of geothermal energy in the Upper Rhine Graben (URG) and other regions worldwide. The hydraulic properties of the basement, which are one of the key factors in the productivity of geothermal power plants, are primarily controlled by hydraulically active faults and fractures. While the most accurate in situ information about the general fracture network is obtained from image logs of deep boreholes, such data are generally sparse and costly and thus often not openly accessible. To circumvent this problem, an outcrop analogue study was conducted with interdisciplinary geoscientific methods in the Tromm Granite, located in the southern Odenwald at the northeastern margin of the URG. Using light detection and ranging (lidar) scanning, the key characteristics of the fracture network were extracted in a total of five outcrops; these were additionally complemented by lineament analysis of two different digital elevation models (DEMs). Based on this, discrete fracture network (DFN) models were developed to calculate equivalent permeability tensors under assumed reservoir conditions. The influences of different parameters, such as fracture orientation, density, aperture and mineralization, were investigated. In addition, extensive gravity and radon measurements were carried out in the study area, allowing fault zones with naturally increased porosity and permeability to be mapped. Gravity anomalies served as input data for a stochastic density inversion, through which areas of potentially increased open porosity were identified. A laterally heterogeneous fracture network characterizes the Tromm Granite, with the highest natural permeabilities expected at the pluton margin, due to the influence of large shear and fault zones.
