Modifikasi karet alam dilakukan dengan pencangkokan starch kulit pisang termodifikasi asam akrilat pada rantai utama karet alam. Penggunaan starch kulit pisang termodifikasi asam akrilat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan sifat alamiah karet alam seperti sifat daya tarik dan menjadikan karet alam mudah untuk terurai secara hayati. Optimalisasi proses dilakukan dengan memvariasikan rasio bahan baku starch:lateks dengan variasi rasio 1:1; 1:1,5; 1:2; 1:2,5; 1:3, jenis inisiator Kalium Persulfate (KPS) dan Ammonium Persulfate (APS), dan temperatur reaksi (60°C, 70°C, 80°C). Karakterisasi sampel dilakukan dengan analisa FTIR, SEM, dan persen pencangkokan. Hasil FTIR rasio bahan baku terbaik adalah rasio 1:1 pada penggunaan inisiator KPS dan 1:2 pada penggunaan inisiator APS. Pada rasio yang sama, inisiator yang bekerja lebih baik yaitu APS dan temperatur reaksi optimum berada pada temperatur 80°C. Hasil SEM menunjukkan sampel dengan inisiator APS menghasilkan morfologi lebih baik karena tidak memiliki gap dan retakan pada permukaannya. Perhitungan persen pencangkokan menunjukkan sampel dengan variasi rasio bahan baku 1:1 memiliki persen pencangkokan yang paling besar. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan produk berbahan dasar karet.

Stunting merupakan salah satu kondisi gagal tumbuh pada anak. Ada beberapa hal yang menjadi penyebab utama masalah stunting pada anak, salah satunya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai stunting itu sendiri. Tujuan pelaksanaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai stunting. Metode pelaksanaan PKM yaitu ceramah, diskusi,dan tanya jawab kepada masyarakat Kelurahan Lapongkoda, khususnya masyarakat yang bertempat tinggal di Jalan Nusa Tenggara RT 03/RW 02. Evaluasi dari kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan melihat kemampuan peserta menjelaskan tentang hal-hal mengenai stunting. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa 85% peserta kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) telah memahami tentang stunting. Diharapkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai stunting khususnya pencegahan stunting yang tepat dapat menurunkan risiko masalah stunting di Indonesia.

Bahan baku pelunak kompon karet umumnya banyak yang berasal dari minyak bumi (petroleum oil), yaitu jenis minyak mineral dengan kelemahan, antara lain tidak bersifat ramah lingkungan, dapat menyebabkan iritasi, korosif, dan bersifat karsinogenik. Alternatif lain yang dapat digunakan yaitu minyak nabati, salah satunya seperti minyak biji ketapang (Terminalia catappa). Proses ekstraksi biji ketapang dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan soxhlet dan memanfaatkan microwave pretreatment untuk melihat pengaruhnya terhadap hasil ekstraksi minyak biji ketapang. Pada penelitian ini, waktu radiasi dalam microwave pretreatment yang digunakan bervariasi, yaitu 0, 2, 4, 6, dan 8 menit dengan massa biji ketapang 20, 40, dan 60 gram. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapatkan, diketahui bahwa peningkatan waktu radiasi dalam microwave pretreatment dapat meningkatkan persentase yield minyak yang dihasilkan. Adapun pengaruh massa diketahui mengalami peningkatan pada massa 40 gram dan mengalami penurunan pada massa 60 gram. Persentase yield minyak yang dihasilkan pada penelitian ini berkisar antara 50,233-60,187%. Pengujian sifat fisik dan kimia ditinjau dari densitas dan angka asam untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi yang digunakan terhadap kualitas minyak yang dihasilkan. Densitas minyak ketapang paling tinggi sebesar 0,90112 gr/mL dan densitas minyak paling rendah sebesar 0,8568 gr/mL. Angka asam minyak terendah 1,7799 mg KOH/g minyak dan angka asam tertinggi 5,1463 mg KOH/g minyak.

Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan strategi pengembangan perikanan dan pemasaran gurita di Makassar. Metode survey dilakukan untuk pengumpulan data. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan pendekatan SWOT (Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats). Hasil penelitian mendapatkan 4 (empat) strategi pengembangan perikanan dan pemasaran gurita, yakni 1) Strategi SO dengan perluasan daerah penangkapan dengan sistem informasi yang baik dan peningkatan produksi tangkapan yang sesuai dengan permintaan pasar, 2) Strategi ST melalui penyelesaian potensi konflik dan implementasi peraturan serta persyaratan ekspor, 3) Strategi WO dengan opsi peningkatan akses permodalan, akses informasi, peningkatan pengetahuan, ketrampilan, kemampuan melakukan penanganan hasil tangkapan serta pemasaran. 4) Strategi WT melalui perluasan wilayah pemasaran dan perbaikan teknologi pengelolaan. ABSTRACT The present study aims to determine the strategy for fishery development and marketing of octopus commodity in Makassar. A survey Method was applied for data collection. A SWOT (Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats) approach was performed for data analysis. The results suggested four strategies for developing fisheries and octopus marketing, namely 1) SO strategy by expanding fishing areas with a good information system and increasing catch production in accordance with market demand, 2) ST strategy through resolving potential conflicts and implementing regulations and export requirements, 3) WO strategy with options to increase access to capital, information, knowledge, skills and marketing. 4) WT strategy through expansion of marketing area and improvement of management technology.

Combining TiO2 and a semiconductor with a smaller band gap, such as Fe2O3, to form a heterojunction composite can increase its photocatalytic activity. In this work, the Fe2O3-TiO2/kaolinite composites were successfully synthesized by ultrasonic-assisted coprecipitation using titanium-tetraisopropoxide (TTIP) dan Fe (NO3)3.9H2O as precursors. Using kaolinite as a matrix also increases the photocatalyst’s surface area. The obtained Fe2O3-TiO2/kaolinite composites were characterized. The crystal phase was characterized using X-Ray Diffraction and resulted in anatase with a crystallite size average of 9,7 nm. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrophotometer (FTIR) shows the peak at a wavenumber 574-1210 cm−1 ascribed TiO2 and Fe2O3 incorporated into kaolinite. The Optical properties show the absorption edge of Fe2O3-TiO2/kaolinite is redshift toward the visible light region. The result showed that the photocatalytic activity of Fe2O3-TiO2/kaolinite composites with heterostructure was more active than the corresponding Fe2O3 or pure TiO2 in the degradation of methylene blue under visible light illumination, which can degrade 83% for 180 minutes. Fe2O3 and kaolinite cause its synergistic effect as supporting materials. Furthermore, it indicates that the recombination of photo hole and photoelectron charge pair can be minimized. The Fe2O3-TiO2/kaolinite composite is a promising photocatalyst to degrade organic pollutants for wastewater treatment.

Ammonia converter merupakan salah satu unit penting dalam proses produksi amoniak khususnya di Unit Amoniak pada pabrik urea. Ammonia converter merupakan reaktor yang terdiri dari tiga Bed dan memiliki katalis berfungsi sebagai tempat reaksi terjadinya pembentukan amoniak (NH3) dari hidrogen (H2) dan nitrogen (N2). Performance reaktor ammonia converter mempengaruhi produktivitas dan efisiensi di pabrik amoniak dilihat dari peningkatan produksi NH3 yang di dapat dari hasil keluaran ammonia converter. Reaktor amonia konverter dievaluasi dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui performance reaktor ammonia converter ditinjau dari konversi H2 dan N2. Evaluasi yang dilakukan berupa konversi H2 dan N2 menjadi NH3 dengan perbandingan nilai antara perhitungan data desain dan data aktual. Berdasarkan data yang diolah pada 30 September, 30 Oktober, dan 30 November tahun 2018 didapatkan konversi tertinggi yaitu pada 30 Oktober 2018. Konversi tersebut didapatkan H2 sebesar 30,32% dan konversi sebesar 30,32%.

Penggunaan plastik di masyarakat semakin meningkat karena plastik memiliki banyak manfaat, diantaranya dapat digunaakan dalam waktu lama, tidak menyerap air, strukturnya ringan dan tidak mudah bocor. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh plastik memiliki kerapatan molekul yang tinggi. Penggunaan plastik yang tinggi ini mengakibatkan dampak lingkungan dan kesehatan karena plastik membutuhkan waktu yang sangat lama untuk dapat terurai secara alami sehingga mengakibatkan penumpukan produksi sampah plastik. Perengkahan limbah plastik dengan bantuan katalis merupakan salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi dampak negatif limbah plastik. Pada penelitian ini digunakan Cu-Al 2 O 3 sebagai katalis dengan variasi temperatur mulai dari 150 o C hingga 300 o C dan variasi waktu perengkahan mulai dari 30 menit hingga 180 menit. Produk cair dari proses perengkahan ini dilakukan analisa viskositas dan densitas untuk mengidentifikasi sifat fisiknya. Nilai viskositas terbaik yaitu 0,9971 mm 2 /s diperoleh pada temperatur 250 o C dan waktu perengkahan 150 menit. Sedangkan untuk nilai densitas terbaik yaitu 6,29 lb/gal diperoleh pada temperatur 250 o C dan waktu 120 menit.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekspor terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia periode tahun 2013 – 2017. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linier sederhana. Hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa ekspor berpengaruh positif terhadap tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia periode tahun 2013 – 2017. Kontribusi yang diberikan oleh ekspor terhada pertumbuhan ekonomi adalah sebesar 75,4% dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Kata kunci : Ekspor, Pertumbuhan Ekonomi

The trends and challenges of pyrolysis technology nowadays have shifted to low-temperature pyrolysis, which provides low-cost processes but high-yield conversion, with suitable H2/CO ratios for performing gas-to-liquid technology in the future. The present study has developed a modified vacuum pyrolysis reactor to convert sugarcane bagasse to gas products, including H2, CO2, CH4, and CO in the low-temperature process. The experimental design includes the effects of pyrolysis time, pyrolysis temperature, and applying a current as a function of the electromagnetic field. The result showed that 0.12 ng/µL, 0.85 ng/µL, and 0.31 ng/µL of hydrogen (H2), carbon dioxide (CO2), and carbon monoxide (CO) gases, respectively, started forming in the first 20 min at 210 °C for the pyrolysis temperature, and the gas product accumulated in the increase of pyrolysis time and temperature. In the absence of electromagnetic field, the optimum condition was obtained at 60 min and 290 °C of pyrolysis time and temperature, respectively, in which 20.98, 14.86, 14.56, and 15.78 ng/µL of H2, CO2, CH4, and CO were generated, respectively. However, this condition did not meet the minimum value of Fischer−Tropsch synthesis, since the minimum requirement of the H2/CO ratio is 2. Furthermore, applying the electromagnetic field performed a significant improvement, in which applying current ≥3A improved the gas product to 33.76, 8.71, 18.39, and 7.66 ng/µL of H2, CO2, CH4, and CO, respectively, with an H2/CO ratio above 2. The obtained result showed that applying electric current as an electromagnetic field provides a significant improvement, not only in boosting yield product, but also in performing the standard ratios of H2/CO in the gas−liquid conversion of syngas to liquid hydrocarbon. The result proves that applying an electromagnetic approach could be used as an alternative way to obtain efficiency and as a better process to convert biomass as a future energy source.

The consumption of plastic gives many benefits however, uncontrolled use can bring about negative impacts on the environment. Plastic waste is a material that is difficult to decompose by nature or referred to as non-biodegradable. The catalytic cracking process is one way to process plastic waste. This study was conducted to determine the effect of cracking temperature and cracking time on the volume and physical properties of the produced liquid. The catalyst used is Cu-Al2O3 with a ratio of 20% of 200 g of raw material. In this study, the most liquid produced is 142 mL at a cracking temperature of 300°C within 150 minutes. The best physical properties (heating value, Octane Research Number, Octane Motor Number) produced from liquid condensate at 250°C and 120 minutes.

The widespread use of plastic in the citizen’s life could cause environmental problems. Plastic is synthesis polymer made from the petroleum product which is difficult to decompose naturally in nature. This study reprocess expanded polystyrene and multilayer as raw materials using pyrolysis in fixed bed reactor into fuel oil. The ratios of the raw material of expanded polystyrene and multilayer plastic are 1:0, 9:1, 4:1, 7:3, 3:2, 1:1, 2:3, 3:7, 1:4, 1:9, 0:1 with the raw material mass is 250 gram. The cracking time is 30 minutes and 60 minutes at the temperature cracking of 250°C. This research reveals that the physical properties of the product which are density, viscosity, heat value, and flash point through GC-MS analysis results were aromatic compound. The highest result is the styrene compound at ratio (1: 1) is 44.34%, at ratio (0: 1) is 40.59% and at ratio (1: 0) is 28.56%. The addition of multilayer plastics is able to increase the percentage of styrene but also decrease the percentage of other benzene, that is ethylbenzene.

Leachate wastewater from pulp and paper industry is known for containing various types of heavy metals such as Cd (Cadmium), Ba (Barium) and Cu (Cuprum). The existence of heavy metals that accumulates and eventually exceeds certain threshold concentrations will cause environmental pollution, therefore it is necessary to conduct wastewater treatment to eliminate or at least reduce the heavy metal content in industrial wastewater. One of the most commonly used wastewater treatment method is using adsorbent, this study uses adsorbent made from the mixture of clay, zeolite and activated carbon formed into ceramic balls with ± 0.5 cm diameter. The ratios of the mixture of clay, zeolite and activated carbon are 6:3:1; 6:2,5:1,5; 6:2:2; 6:1,5:2,5 and 6:1:3 with variations of contact time 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 minutes. The most favorable concentration reduction of heavy metals occurred at the longest contact time of 150 minutes at 6:3:1 adsorbent ratio, Cd concentration decreases from 0.65 mg/L to 0.03 mg /L, Ba concentration decreases from 0.86 mg/L to 0.04 mg/L and Cu concentration is from 0.6 mg/L to 0.02 mg/L. These prove that the ceramic zeolite/carbon-ceramic composite adsorbent can be an alternative to treat wastewater containing heavy metals derived from the pulp and paper industry.

The high use of plastic and the length of time the decomposition will worsen environmental conditions. The processing of plastic waste by incineration was not a safe method for the environment because it will produce gas emissions that potentially become pollutants. The catalytic cracking process is one of the ways to process polystyrene plastic waste into liquid fuel. The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of cracking temperature and mass of catalyst towards the volume and fuel quality of the production. The research conducted through the thermal catalytic cracking process. The mass of catalyst Cu-Al2O3 is 0.5 g, 1 g, 1.5 g. The cracking temperature is 150 °C, 200 °C, 250 °C. Cracking time is 90 minutes. The highest volume of the liquid fuel was 113 mL at a 250°C cracking temperature and the addition of 1g catalyst. The results of the best density analysis obtained at 0.74 g/mL, and the octane number of RON is 100, MON is 90, and AKI is 94.4.

The widespread use of plastics in the community has resulted in increased waste. Plastics are synthetic polymers that are formed as products of fossil fuel and that are difficult to decompose naturally. This research used the pyrolysis process on a fixed bed reactor to utilize plastic waste especially polystyrene type. The raw materials in this study are high impact polystyrene (HIPS), expanded polystyrene (EPS) and oriented polystyrene (OPS). The ratios of raw material (HIPS: EPS: OPS) are 1:0:0, 0:1:0, 0:0:1, 2:1:1, 1:2:1, 1:1:2, and 1:1:1 also heating rates at 2 °C/min, 4 °C/min, 6 °C/min, 8 °C/min and 10 °C/min. The highest yield at 0:0:1 ratio and with a heating rate of 10 °C/min. The heating rate of 10 °C/min generated the highest amount of yields in general at each ratio. Analysis of the compound using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). The compound was dominated by aromatic hydrocarbons, with dominant compounds of ethylbenzene, p-xylene, styrene, 2-phenyl- 1propene, 1,3-diphenyl propane and methyl styrene.

The higher consumption of plastic causes environmental problems. This study was aimed at recycling plastic wastes by using a pyrolysis process with the variables were the ratio of polystyrene mixture and heating rate. The types of polystyrene were used namely, oriented polystyrene (OPS), expanded polystyrene (EPS) and high impact polystyrene (HIPS). Ratios of raw material mixture (OPS: EPS: HIPS) of 1: 0: 0, 0: 1: 0, 0: 0: 1, 2: 1: 1, 1: 2: 1, 1: 1: 2, 1: 1 : 1. Heating rate variations were 2 °C/min, 4 °C/min, 6 °C/min, 8 °C/min and 10 °C/min. The analysis was conducted to the physical properties of liquid produced by pyrolysis, namely heating value, kinematic viscosity, density, and flash point. The heating value tended to increase with the increase of heating rate, the highest heating value was obtained at a ratio of a mixture of 2: 1: 1. The lowest kinematic viscosity value was at the ratio of a mixture of 1: 2: 1 and 1: 1: 1. Density fluctuated but tended to increase with the increase of heating rate. Flashpoint of the entire sample was below 32.6 °C. The ratio of a raw material mixture and heating rate affected the content of the compound of the liquid fuel produced. These compounds had different physical properties. The difference of physical property of each compound of the liquid fuel would affect the physical properties of the liquid produced by pyrolysis.

Insurance data processing system used by PT. Asuransi Takaful Umum is a system Care Tech. Care Tech System is a system designed for general data processing such as vehicle insurance, fire, property, and others with a web-based base that can be accessed online. During implemented since October 2013, Care Tech system has not been evaluated in terms of user acceptance. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence user acceptance Care Tech system and also provide recommendations to the company PT. Asuransi Takaful Umum which can be used as a decision-making for the development of the next system. This study uses a model to evaluate the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Variables used in this research that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions and behavioral intention. Tests conducted variables include validity, reliability, normality test, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity test and multiple linear regression tests using the tools of IBM SPSS version 22 and Ms. Excel 2007. The results of this study showed that the variables of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence significant effect on the dependent variable is behavioral intention. While variable conditions facilitating no significant effect on the dependent variable behavioral intention.

Volatilitas harga saham merupakan pergerakan naik atau turunnya harga saham. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kebijakan dividen, nilai tukar, leverage, dan firm size terhadap volatilitas harga saham. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada saham perusahaan indeks LQ45. Jumlah sampel yang diambil sebanyak 24 perusahaan dengan metode sensus. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditemukan bahwa kebijakan dividen, nilai tukar, leverage, dan firm size secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap volatilitas harga saham. Secara parsial kebijakan dividen berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap volatilitas harga saham, nilai tukar berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap volatilitas harga saham, leverage berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan terhadap volatilitas harga saham, firm size berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap volatilitas harga saham. Persimpangan Bundaran Suci Kabupaten Garut merupakan dua persimpangan yangberdekatan dengan kondisi yang berpotensi terjadi kemacetan dan kecelakaan. Hal ini disebabkanruas jalan mayor merupakan jalan menuju pusat perekonomian dan permukiman. Dari hasilanalisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa di Bundaran Suci Kabupaten Garut memiliki nilai DerajatKejenuhan (DS) = 0,72, Tundaan (DT) = 12,06 det/jam serta menghasilkan peluang antrian (QP)= 9% - 31%. Nilai derajat kejenuhan sesuai dengan nilai yang disarankan oleh MKJI 1997. Hal inidapat dilihat dari nilai derajat kejenuhan pada Bundaran Suci Kabupaten Garut yaitu DS = 0,75.Setelah dilakukan rekayasa dengan menggunakan manajemen lalulintas pada lokasi ini maka,derajat kejenuhannya menurun dan memenuhi kriteri. Dengan melakukan pelebaran setiappendekat bagian jalinan dan lebar jalinan pada bagian jalinan Bundaran Suci KabupatenGarut,maka di peroleh nilai Derajat Kejenuhan Bundaran sebesar 0,72, sehingga sudah sesuaidengan persyaratan MKJI yaitu DS ≤ 0,75.

The study deals with the types of maxims violation in Presidential Debate between President Obama and Republican Nominee Mitt Romney on October 3, 2012. The objectives of study are to describe the violated maxim, to derive the dominant violated maxim and to reason for the use of dominant violated maxims in presidential debate. The data is the transcript of the presidential debate and taken from the internet. This research is conducted by using descriptive qualitative design. It is found that there are 65 utterances violated by the candidates. The results of data analysis show the total numbers are: maxim violation of quantity (67.69%), quality (23.07%), relevance (6.16%), and manner (3.08%). The most dominant type of maxim violation is quantity because the candidates give the information as much as possible to clear up and ensure the listener(s) that one of them is the best choice to be the next American president.
