The given scientific paper is devoted to a thorough consideration of such topical and socially significant issues as the acute problems of migrants' adaptation to the values, traditions, customs of European culture as well as various sociocultural consequences of the current global migration crisis in the context of the new world order. The civilizational and cultural differences between migrants and titular nations on the territorial locations of Western European countries under consideration allow to identify the most important causes of ethnic conflicts, arising from differences in cultural codes, religious practices of Christian churches and Muslim mosques, a set of traditional moral values of the Western and Eastern cultural worlds. An attempt for systematizing various ways and means to minimize the destructive influence of many different migrants' and titular nations' cultural differences on the inevitable exacerbation of conflicts between civilizations has been made by the authors. The article highlights the integrated effect of the social factors (mass media, the Internet, family, academic institutions, peers) on the youth value system in the conditions of globalization. It analyzes the results of the opinion surveys that reveal the factors which have the greatest effect on the political and economic views of young people. The trends in the current migration processes are discussed as well as their influence on the transformation of the modern communication space of the civilization. The article highlights the topical issue of the unemployment among the young issue. The authors investigate how the youth perceive unemployment in general and in personal dimension, stressing the need for education institutions to bear heavy responsibility for training and further employment of the youth. The article contains the results of the opinion poll held by researchers of Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University since the end of 2005 through March 2014 among students of the city of Nizhny Novgorod and town and rural academic institutions, with the aim of investigating the changes in the youth system of values, confirming that unemployment remains an important problem for them, both socially and personally. The article deals with the problem of language influence on the formation of national images of the world in the conditions of globalization and the Internet space expanded potentialities. Since a language as a system of symbols and a communication code preserves and transmits the accumulated experience of generations, it serves to determine the borders of ethnocultural identity, to ensure the reproduction of national images of the world and the historical and cultural succession. Under the influence of globalization and new information technologies, the spiritual and moral legacy of the past epochs, usually contained in the linguistic view of the world, is destroyed. The new digital world of the modern media space creates new images and new language that will destroy the millennium-long images of the world, national memory and national images of the world to replace them with simulacra, i.e. images of the virtual world.
