In recent years, there has been a marked shift in focus towards sustainable and renewable energy solutions, particularly in the context of developing nations. This article explores the immense potential of hybrid renewable energy (RE) systems for ushering in a transformative change in electrifying remote and rural areas within these countries. The importance of such endeavours becomes paramount as a multitude of nations globally seek strategies to diminish carbon footprints. Renewable energy systems, combining sources such as solar, wind, hydro, and biomass, emerge as crucial assets in this drive, especially when considering regions that remain largely isolated from major electrical grids. The growing emphasis on research in this domain, coupled with favourable policies, signifies a promising trajectory for RE in developing nations. Such hybrid models, by capitalising on the diverse spectrum of renewable resources at hand, are on the brink of initiating a revolution in rural electrification strategies. This review accentuates the urgency and significance of rapidly integrating these avant-garde systems, setting the stage for a future that is not only environmentally conscious but also ensures broader and more equitable access to energy.

The global energy landscape is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by the dual imperatives of innovation and regulation. This paper reviews the work in the areas of sustainable energy transitions, focusing on the intricate balance between demand-side innovations and governance, as seen in Germany’s energy transition journey. The study further delves into the European context, highlighting the emergence of Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) and the challenges and opportunities they present in achieving a just and democratic energy transition. The paper also introduces the World Economic Forum’s Energy Transitions Index (ETI), a comprehensive tool that tracks the performance of energy systems at the country level, offering insights into the macroeconomic, institutional, social, and geopolitical considerations that shape energy transitions globally. Collectively, these areas of study underscore the importance of a holistic approach to energy transition, one that harmonizes technological advancements with policy frameworks and societal needs.

The rapid evolution of the energy sector is significantly influenced by the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. This paper reviews the work in the areas of AI applications in energy trading platforms, focusing on three broad domains. Firstly, the energy industry is undergoing a transformative phase, where AI-driven digitalization is optimizing energy supply, trade, and consumption. Emphasis is laid on AI’s role in integrating solar and hydrogen power generation, supply-demand management, and the latest advancements in AI technology. These techniques have shown superior performance in areas like big data handling, cyberattack prevention, and energy efficiency optimization. Secondly, the manufacturing sector is witnessing a shift towards smart factories, where AI is enhancing value-added manufacturing by integrating various information communication technologies. The characteristics of these factories include operations optimization and intelligent decision-making, with AI technologies enabling systems to adapt to external needs. Lastly, while AI promises transformative changes in the energy sector, it also brings forth challenges. A multidisciplinary approach identifies these challenges, offering insights and recommendations for successful AI integration in the energy sector.

This paper provides a comprehensive review of dynamic control strategies for FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) devices, aligning with the “Dynamic Control Strategies for FACTS Devices in Modern Power Grids.” It addresses the critical role of FACTS in managing modern power grids, focusing on their ability to enhance power quality, stabilize voltage, and improve energy efficiency. As power systems evolve to incorporate renewable and distributed energy sources, the challenges of ensuring reliable and stable grid operations become increasingly complex. The review discusses how FACTS technology and dynamic control strategies are vital components in addressing these challenges. By regulating voltage profiles and power system stability, FACTS devices contribute to the efficient integration of renewable energy sources, aligning with the overarching theme of the review article. In essence, this review sets the stage for a deeper exploration of the dynamic control strategies that underpin FACTS devices’ contributions to the modern power grid’s reliability and efficiency, emphasizing their relevance and significance in the evolving energy landscape.

This study has been carried out to assess the perceived usefulness of Banana Post Production Mechanisation among farmers in the western region of Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore district was selected because banana cultivating farmers are more in this region and two taluks namely Coimbatore and Mettupalayam were selected at random. From each taluk, 2-3 villages were selected on cluster basis. In each cluster, 15 respondents were selected for research intervention. Thus, in total, 60 respondents were selected for this study. Attributes of Mechanization had been employed through package of banana pseudostem processing equipment and banana rope making equipment among respondents, where the highest mean score was reported in Economic viability.

The limitations and disadvantages of the available intuitionistic fuzzy set scoring functions are investigated. Two improved methods for handling multi-criteria fuzzy decision-making problems are provided. They are based on the two theories of intuitionistic fuzzy set and cross entropy, with the adoption of cross entropy of the degree of membership from the degree of non-membership handling the effect of hesitancy degree. Score function method and weighted score function method are their names. This study presents and investigates a novel strategy for ranking interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Examples using numbers are used to demonstrate the technique.

In this paper, we introduce some new notions called soft SIgδs - closed sets, soft SIgδs - open sets. We obtain several characterizations and some of their properties. Also, we investigate its relationship with other types of sets. 2010 Mathematics Subject Classification. 54A10, 54A20, 54C08.
