Actualmente, las aplicaciones del yeso en la construcción son altamente variadas, abarcando desde las técnicas más comunes como los revocos y acabados de yeso, hasta las prácticas decorativas como los estucos y yeserías, incluso otras menos conocidas como los pavimentos. Es en este último caso en el que la utilización del yeso artesanal cocido a altas temperaturas se destaca por encima de los yesos industriales. Teniendo en cuenta que el yeso es un material conglomerante tan antiguo y utilizado en la arquitectura desde sus orígenes, resulta sorprendente la escasez de publicaciones en español sobre su historia, características, usos y tecnología como material. Esta falta de documentación sobre el yeso tradicional puede ser atribuible, en parte, al desarrollo industrial de los materiales, en el cual, como en el caso del yeso, un mayor control en la fabricación unido a una utilización más especializada ha conllevado el paso de los yesos multifásicos, más complejos, a los yesos industriales monofásicos, más simples, aunque estos últimos son frecuentemente modificados con aditivos. Se presenta, por tanto, la paradoja de haber reducido las propiedades y prestaciones de los yesos antiguos, para que sea necesario añadir un gran número de modificadores a los modernos con el objeto de recuperar algunas de esas propiedades. Con el objetivo de reintroducir el yeso artesanal en la arquitectura y frente a un futuro en el que los residuos se puedan convertir en recursos, surgió este estudio. El objetivo es regenerar el yeso fabricado de forma tradicional, un yeso cero residuos que crea un ciclo cerrado de usos, respetuoso con el medio ambiente y los principios de economías circulares en los que los materiales de un solo uso desaparecen. En este estudio se realiza la investigación experimental de las propiedades del yeso reciclado por segunda cocción de residuos de yeso tradicional rehidratado, se elaboran cuatro grupos de muestras que se someten a una seria de ensayos de caracterización mineral y propiedades físicas para demostrar la mejora de las propiedades del yeso al completar el ciclo. Currently, the applications of gypsum plaster in construction are highly varied, ranging from the most common techniques such as plastering and plaster finishes, to decorative practices such as stucco and plasterwork, to less well-known applications such as flooring. It is in this latter case that the use of artisanal gypsum plaster, fired at high temperatures, stands out above industrial plasters. Given that gypsum is a conglomerate material so ancient and used in architecture from the very beginning, it is surprising the scarcity of publications in Spanish about its history, characteristics, uses, and technology as a material. This gap in literature about traditional plaster may be partly due to the industrial development of materials, in which, as in the case of gypsum plaster, greater control in the manufacturing process coupled with more specialized use has led to a shift from multifaceted, more complex plasters, to industrial, single-phase plasters, although these are frequently modified with additives. As a result, the paradox arises of having reduced the properties and performance of ancient plasters, so that it becomes necessary to add a vast number of modifiers to modern ones to recover some of those properties. This study emerges with the aim of reintroducing artisanal gypsum plaster in architecture and considering a future in which waste can be converted into resources. The goal is to regenerate plaster made in the traditional way, a zero-waste plaster that creates a closed-loop use cycle, respectful of the environment and the principles of circular economies in which single-use materials disappear. In research on the properties of gypsum recycled by second firing of traditional rehydrated gypsum residues, four groups of samples were prepared and subjected to a series of tests of mineral characterization and physical properties to demonstrate the improvement of gypsum properties at the end of the cycle.

A business study is developed for a marketable hydrogen-based micro-grid powered by a mix of renewable energies. This micro-grid is designed to be installed in an isolated location. It produces hydrogen which can then be consumed in a fuel cell when energy is required or used in a fuel cell electric vehicle. The economic study is divided into three sections: first, a brief introduction of the marketing of hydrogen-based microgrids is given. Then an evaluation of the components of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) is done for the case of this marketable microgrid. Finally, a business plan is done to summarize the economic study of the microgrid and the possibilities of marketing it, showing the possibility of implementing this type of controllers in microgrids based on hydrogen.

The article deals with the design of a Model Predictive Control strategy in an offshore platform located in the Atlantic Ocean that produces hydrogen from the energy of the wind and the waves. This renewable energy is the energy source that feeds a set of electrolyzers which produce hydrogen, taking into account the energy available and optimizing the operation of the plant. Este proyecto de tesis propone un Sistema de Gestión de Energía (EMS) para equilibrar la producción de energías renovables con su consumo en un conjunto de unidades de electrólisis basado en ideas de Modelo de Control Predictivo (MPC). Este EMS regula el punto de operación para cada electrolizador y sus conexiones y desconexiones usando un algoritmo de Programación- Cuadrática-Mixta-Entera (MIQP). Un caso de estudio se muestra para una instalación compuesta por fuentes de energía provenientes del viento y de las olas de mar y un conjunto de 3 electrolizadores. An Energy Management System (EMS) to balance the production of renewable sources with the consumption by a set of electrolization units is proposed here based on Model Predictive Control ideas (MPC). This EMS regulates the operating point of each electrolyzer and its connections or disconnections using a Mixed-Integer-Quadratic-Programming algorithm. A case study is given for an installation composed of wave and wind energy sources and a set of 3 alkaline electrolyzers. The proposed control system allows regulating the operation of the electrolyzers, taking into account the energy available and optimizing the performance of the plant. A heuristic strategy is presented and evaluated to operate desalination plants designed for variable power availability. This control strategy is based on two consecutive steps: first developing a prioritized list of units of the water plant based on the current state of the plant and the expected water demand, and then distributing the available energy among those units following the prioritized list. The proposed strategy is evaluated on a case study: a desalination plant designed for production of demineralized water powered by a combination of wind and wave energy. This paper presents the design of a renewable energy offshore desalination plant currently under preliminary development. The purpose of the installation is to test the feasibility of producing drinkable water using renewable energies in offshore installations. This is proposed, as an alternative for those locations where the land use, the civil engineering works and the environmental impact make a landbased solution inadequate.
