Abstract

The SAMURAI Pion Reconstruction and Ion-Tracker Time Projection Chamber (S$\pi$RIT TPC) was designed to enable measurements of heavy ion collisions with the SAMURAI spectrometer at the RIKEN Radioactive Isotope Beam Factory and provide constraints on the Equation of State of neutron-rich nuclear matter. The S$\pi$RIT TPC has a 50.5 cm drift length and an 86.4 cm $\times$ 134.4 cm pad plane with 12,096 pads that are equipped with the Generic Electronics for TPCs readout electronics. The S$\pi$RIT TPC allows excellent reconstruction of particles and provides isotopic resolution for pions and other light charged particles across a wide range of energy losses and momenta. Abstract

In this work, two particular properties of the position-sensitive, thick silicon detectors (known as the "E" detectors) in the High Resolution Array (HiRA) are investigated: the thickness of the dead layer on the front of the detector, and the overall thickness of the detector itself. The dead layer thickness for each E detector in HiRA is extracted using a measurement of alpha particles emitted from a $^{212}$Pb pin source placed close to the detector surface. This procedure also allows for energy calibrations of the E detectors, which are otherwise inaccessible for alpha source calibration as each one is sandwiched between two other detectors. The E detector thickness is obtained from a combination of elastically scattered protons and an energy-loss calculation method. Abstract

Pion energy spectra are presented for central collisions of neutron-rich 132Sn+124Sn and neutron-deficient 108Sn+112Sn systems using simulations with Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck transport model. These calculations, which incorporate isospin-dependent mean field potentials for relevant baryons and mesons, display a sensitivity to the pion spectra that could allow significant constraints on the density dependence of the symmetry energy and its mean field potential at supra-saturation densities. The predicted sensitivity increases with the isospin asymmetry of the total system and decreases with incident energy.

Abstract

There is a great interest in generating high-power hard X-ray Free Electron Laser (FEL) in the terawatt (TW) level that can enable coherent diffraction imaging of complex molecules like proteins and probe fundamental high-field physics. A feasibility study of producing such X-ray pulses was carried out employing a configuration beginning with a Self-Amplified Spontaneous Emission FEL, followed by a “self-seeding” crystal monochromator generating a fully coherent seed, and finishing with a long tapered undulator where the coherent seed recombines with the electron bunch and is amplified to high power. The undulator tapering profile, the phase advance in the undulator break sections, the quadrupole focusing strength, etc. are parameters to be optimized. A Genetic Algorithm (GA) is adopted for this multi-dimensional optimization. Concrete examples are given for LINAC Coherent Light Source (LCLS) and LCLS-II-type systems. Analytical estimate is also developed to cross check the simulation and optimization results as a quick and complimentary tool.

Abstract

Nuclear grade aluminum capsules (AA-1070) was filled with 2 mg, 4 mg, 6 mg of target Sc2O3. The irradiation process of the capsule was performed in the Central Irradiation Position (CIP) G.A Siwabessy research reactor for 58.61 h. At the end of irradiation, 46Sc radioactivity was 26.67; 57.81; 85.48 mCi/capsule. The SS-316 capsule swab test, its was found that 46Sc radioactivity contamination was 2.198 Bq, 0.089 Bq and 0.218 Bq which were declared free of contamination. The gamma energy attenuation test for the thickness of the SS-304 plate, indicating that there is significant relationship between plate thickness and 46Sc gamma energy intensity. Abstract

Sistem informasi manajemen rumah sakit merupakan suatu usaha untuk menyajikan informasi yang akurat, tepat waktu dan sesuai kebutuhan guna menunjang proses fungsi-fungsi manajemen dan pengambilan keputusan dalam memberikan pelayanan kesehatan di Rumah Sakit. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh pengguna sistem informasi manajemen rumah sakit di Rumah Sakit Balung Kabupaten Jember didapatkan dari hasil wawancara, antara lain: kualitas sistem, kualitas informasi, kualitas layanan, intensitas pengguna, pengguna sistem, kepuasan pengguna dan net-benefit. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik kuantitatif dengan menggunakan uji analisis jalur. Penelitian ini menilai persepsi pengguna sistem informasi manajemen rumah sakit dengan metode DeLone dan McLean. Peneliti menggunakan metode DeLone dan McLean karena metode tersebut cocok dengan karakteristik masalah yang ada di Rumah Sakit Balung Kabupaten Jember. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah peneliti dapat mengetahui bahwa efek langsung standarized solution KS-IP=0,58. Sedangkan efek tidak langsung standarized solution KS-KP-IP=0,78x0,45=0,351. Sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa dari analisis jalur bahwa efek langsung standarized solution KS-IP=0,58 > efek tidak langsung standarized solution KS-KP-IP=0,78x0,45=0,351. Yang berarti memiliki makna jalur KS-IP lebih baik/lebih besar nilainya daripada KS-KP-IP.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the causes of stuttering in children. The research object is a five-year-old child who still experiences stuttering when producing speech. Data collection is done using the observation technique by conducting direct interviews with the sufferer. Then the data is recorded and classified for analysis. The results show that the child is diagnosed with a speech disorder in the form of stuttering due to several factors, namely psychological factors, neurological disorders, and developmental disorders that are hindered by the family environment.

Abstract

Tujuan utama dari pelaporan keuangan adalah penyediaan informasi. Pelaporan keuangan harus (1) menyediakan informasi yang bermanfaat bagi para investor dan kreditor dan pemakai lain, (2) menyediakan informasi untuk membantu para investor dan pemakai lain, (3) menyediakan informasi tentang sumber daya ekonomik suatu badan usaha, klaim terhadap sumber-sumber tersebut, dan akibat-akibat dari transaksi, kejadian, dan keadaan yang mengubah sumber daya badan usaha dan klaim terhadap sumber daya tersebut. Guna mencapai pelaporan keuangan tersebut diperlukan standar akuntansi yang baik. Standar akuntansi merupakan pedoman yang digunakan untuk mengakomodasi tata cara pelaporan informasi keuangan. Kebutuhan akan standar akuntansi dijawab oleh berdirinya organisasi International Accounting Standard Committee (IASC). IASC kemudian membuat standar akuntansi tunggal yang diharapkan mampu meningkatkan nilai dari pelaporan keuangan yaitu IFRS. Penelitian mengenai efektifitas penerapan IFRS masih tidak konsisten.Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menganalisis dampak pengapdosian IFRS di Indonesia. IFRS yang dianggap mampu meningkatkan relevansi nilai dan menurunkan praktik manajemen laba masih belum menemukan hasil yang konsisten. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel semua perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Indonesia mulai dari tahun 2009-2013 yang berjumlah 388 sampel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode chow test dan uji beda.Hasil analisis untuk uji hipotesis pertama ini mengindikasikan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan tingkat manajemen pada masa sebelum dan sesudah adopsi IFRS. Hasil analisis untuk hipotesis kedua mengindikasikan bahwa relevansi nilai lebih rendah pada masa sesudah adopsi IFRS dibandingkan dengan masa sebelum adopsi IFRS.

Abstract

The study examined the effect of fiscal decentralisation on both vertical and horizontal inequality in 32 provinces of Indonesia in the period from 2005 to 2014 using several fixed effects (FE) estimations. Moreover, we assessed the mediating role of institutional quality in explaining the nexus between fiscal decentralisation and inequality. To complement the econometrics results, we conducted several semi-structured interviews (SSIs) based on expert judgement and focus group discussions (FGDs) among relevant stakeholders. This analysis focussed on the intergovernmental transfer policy designed and implemented at the sub-national government level. Such qualitative analysis started in the last week of March 2019 and ended in the first week of July 2019. The quantitative findings showed that there was a robust, positive, and significant relationship between fiscal decentralisation and vertical inequality when democracy was taken into account. Meanwhile, fiscal decentralisation was negatively correlated with horizontal inequality when the estimation included social capital. In addition, fiscal decentralisation appears to have a marginal impact on horizontal inequality when both democracy and the crime rate are considered in the full sample analysis. However, when we excluded provinces located in Java Island, the impact of fiscal decentralisation on horizontal inequality became clear. Regarding the qualitative aspect, the fieldwork results were consistent with the quantitative findings., Статья посвящена исследованию влияния фискальной децентрализации как на вертикальное, так и на горизонтальное неравенство в 32 провинциях Индонезии в период с 2005 г. по 2014 г. с использованием оценки с фиксированными эффектами. Связь между фискальной децентрализацией и неравенством объясняется посредством оценки качества институциональной среды. В качестве дополнения к результатам эконометрического анализа в 2019 г. было проведено несколько полуструктурированных интервью, основанных на экспертных оценках и обсуждениях в фокус-группах стейкхолдеров. Тема обсуждений — политика межбюджетных трансфертов, разработанная и реализованная на субнациональном уровне правительства. Количественные результаты показали, что существует прочная положительная и значимая взаимосвязь между фискальной децентрализацией и вертикальным неравенством при учете показателя «уровень демократии». Между тем, фискальная децентрализация отрицательно коррелировала с горизонтальным неравенством, если в оценку был включен социальный капитал. Кроме того, при полном анализе выборки с учетом показателей «уровень демократии» и «уровень преступности» фискальная децентрализация лишь незначительно влияет на горизонтальное неравенство. Однако при исключении из выборки провинций, расположенных на острове Ява, влияние фискальной децентрализации на горизонтальное неравенство становится очевидным. Результаты качественного анализа соответствуют результатам количественного анализа.
