The heat and mass transportation for nanofluid across a swirling cylinder under the actions of magnetic effects and Cattaneo–Christov heat flux is reported in the current analysis. The objective of this study is to examine the energy and mass transmissions through hybrid nanofluid under the influence of heat source/sink and reactive species. The hybrid nanoliquid has been prepared by the dispersion of silver (Ag) and gold (Au) nanoparticles (NPs) in the base fluid ethylene glycol (C2H6O2). The flow phenomena are expressed in the form of nonlinear partial differential equations and are converted to a nondimensional form, by employing the similarity substitution. For the computational estimation of the problem, the parametric continuation method is employed. The demonstration of velocity, mass, and energy outlines versus distinct physical factors is exposed in the form of figures. It has been perceived that the axial and swirling velocity outline drops with the influence of the Reynolds number, magnetic effect, and the insertion of Au and Ag NPs in C2H6O2. Furthermore, the hybrid nanofluid energy curve declines with the effect of the Reynolds number, thermal relaxation factor, and the volume friction of NPs.

This research offers an analysis of the mixed convective transient boundary film Casson fluid stream and thermal distribution through a vertical sheet. Viscous dissipation and the Soret effect are introduced to support the flow in stimulating heat capacity. Unlike typical investigations, the present flow-formulated model is done to capture an induced magnetic field. The Boussinesq approximation is used to describe the nonlinear formulated partial derivatives governing the heat transfer fluid that is non-dimensionalized using suitable dimensionless quantities. The transformed partial derivative model is numerically solved via the spectral Chebyshev technique and the results of shear stress, current density, Nusselt number, and mass gradient are tabulated. The role of numerous terms on dimensionless flow rate, induced velocity, and heat transfer with species distribution is discussed in a very effective way. It is unknown how the dynamics of ethylene glycol conveying SWCNTs and MWCNTs nanoparticles compare when there is a stratification of concentration and temperature such that the process by which an electric current travels past resistance and transforms some of its energy into heat is essential. The nondimensional governing equations were transformed via similarity transformation and solved numerically through Runge–Kutta 45 Fehlberg method. The computations have shown that the thermal convective term depleted the flow profile of SWCNTs and MWCNTs but boosted the velocity field and thermal diffusion. The induced electromagnetic force by the magnetic field and rising porosity term decrease the characteristic flow dimension. Finally, SWCNTs and MWCNTs are positively influenced by Ohmic magnetic dissipation and negatively influenced by radiation. The SWCNTs and MWCNTs are positively influenced by joule dissipation but negatively influenced by radiation. The thermal convective term reduces the flow profile of SWCNTs and MWCNTs but enhances the velocity field and thermal diffusion. Notably, the Nusselt number proportional to the heat transfer across the motion of SWCNTs nanofluid increases at the rate of 0.55466. Reverse is the case of MWCNTs nanofluid, where the same heat transfer rate decreases with a higher volume fraction at –0.7801. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The present theoretical investigation is conducted on a micropolar fluid medium channel in the presence of mixed and nonlinear convection with the assumptions of thermal radiation and species reactive agents. The nonlinear governing equations, which describe the micropolar fluid flow and energy, are converted into ordinary differential equations using appropriate similarity variables. With the Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg method, the resultant equations are numerically solved. The physical characteristics of flow restrictions over velocity, microrotation, energy, and concentration profile are plotted and discussed. Further, the impact of several dimensionless parameters on Nusselt and Sherwood numbers is investigated and depicted graphically. In addition to observing flow patterns, contour plots of streamlines are plotted and discussed. It is demonstrated that the dimensionless velocity, temperature, and concentration of micropolar fluid have a maximum value at the center of the channel. However, the microrotation velocity of the micropolar fluid has both maxima and minima. The thermal and solutal properties of micropolar fluid influence heat and mass transport rates, that is, mixed convection and buoyancy parameter boost up the local heat transfer at the surface. The present work is committed to study the influence of dissipation and Joule heating on the magnetohydrodynamic squeezing flow between two Riga plates with Cattaneo–Christov heat flux. Riga plate is known as an electromagnetic actuator which comprises of permanent magnets and alternating electrodes placed on a plane surface. A non-Fourier (Cattaneo–Christov) heat flux by considering thermal relaxation time to Fourier's law is implemented to analyse the features of heat transfer. The resulting system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations together with the boundary conditions is solved numerically by the RK Fehlberg method with shooting technique. The effects of diverse parameters on the flow, energy and concentrations are discussed and displayed graphically. Additionally, the influence of selected parameters on reduced skin friction, Nusselt number and Sherwood number is also graphically illustrated. It is noticed that there is a significant increase in temperature of the fluid with rising viscous dissipation and Joule dissipation. In addition, increasing squeezing parameter and magnetic field parameter results a strong reduction in skin friction at the upper Riga plate. A consistent growth in Nusselt number is observed with rising Eckert number, length parameter, radiation parameter and thermal Biot number. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Magnetic polymer materials processing involves many multi-physical and chemical effects. Motivated by such applications, in the present work, a theoretical analysis is conducted of combined heat and mass transfer in unsteady mixed convection flow of micropolar fluid over an oscillatory inclined porous plate in a homogenous porous medium with heat source, radiation absorption and Joule dissipation. A first-order homogenous chemical reaction model is used. The transformed non-dimensional boundary value problem is solved using a perturbation method and Runge-Kutta fourth-order numerical quadrature (shooting technique). The emerging parameters dictating the transport phenomena are shown to be the gyro-viscosity micropolar material parameter, magnetic field parameter, permeability of the porous medium, Prandtl number, Schmidt number, thermal Grashof number, species Grashof number, thermal radiation-conduction parameter, heat absorption parameter, radiation absorption parameter, Eckert number, chemical reaction parameter and Eringen coupling number (vortex viscosity ratio parameter). The impact of these parameters on linear velocity, micro-rotation (angular velocity), temperature and concentration are evaluated in detail. Results for skin friction coefficient, couple stress coefficient, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are also included. Couple stress is observed to be reduced with stronger magnetic field. This paper considers a boundary layer analysis on the effects of diffusion-thermo, heat absorption and homogeneous chemical reaction on magnetohydrodynamic flow of an incompressible, laminar chemically reacting micropolar fluid past a semi-infinite vertical porous plate is made numerically. The governing partial differential equations are solved numerically using the finite element method. The numerical results are compared and found to be in good agreement with previous results as special case of the present investigation. The effects of the various important parameters entering into the problem on the velocity, microrotation, temperature and concentration fields within the boundary layer are discussed and explained graphically. Also the effects of the pertinent parameters on the local Skin friction coefficient, wall Couple stress and rates of heat and mass transfer in terms of the local Nusselt and Sherwood numbers are presented numerically in tabular form. This communication focuses on assessing the effectiveness of nanoparticles, and a power-law variation fluid on a moving stretching surface is analyzed. Newtonian fluids for different nanomaterials are considered due to its industrial demand. The partial differential equations describing the flow are transformed to ordinary differential equations by employing local similarity transformations and then solved numerically by an effective numerical approach, namely, the local nonsimilarity method (LNS). The numerical solution is computed for different parameters by using the computational software MATLAB. Different types of nanoparticles are considered, and the impact of those nanoparticles as well as the impact of different pertaining parameters on velocity, temperature, missing velocity slope, and missing temperature slope are presented graphically. Comparisons are made with the available results in the open literature. Our investigation conveys a better impact on [Formula: see text] nanoparticles due to their higher thermal conductivity.
