Antiferroelectric thin films have attracted blooming interest due to their potential application in energy storage areas. Pb(1−3x/2)LaxHfO3 (PLHO-x, x = 0–0.05) thin films were fabricated on Pt(111)/TiO2/SiO2/Si substrates via the chemical solution deposition method. The x-ray diffraction and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy results show that the doping of La3+, which has a smaller ion radius, leads to a slight decrease in the lattice constant and unit cell volume, which can induce the lattice distortion. In addition, the dielectric and polarization properties indicate that with an increase in the temperature or La3+ content, the antiferroelectric (AFE) I phase can transform into an AFE II phase, exhibiting a slimmer P–E loop with enhanced switching field and more pronounced polarization dispersion. Notably, PLHO-0.04 showcases excellent energy storage performance (55 J/cm3, at 2.8 MV/cm). This material also exhibits good thermal, frequency, and fatigue stability. These results suggest that the energy storage performance of PbHfO3-based films can be enhanced through the phase structure design, presenting a valuable approach to fulfill the growing demand for advanced energy storage devices. The conventional sonic boom propagation prediction method widely adopted in supersonic aircraft design involves a two-step procedure. In the first step, a compressible viscous or inviscid Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis is applied to the aircraft geometry at flight conditions to produce a flow field solution near the aircraft. Then in the second step, a one dimensional nonlinear Burgers' equation model is used to propagate sonic boom signature traces from the near field solution at flight altitude to the ground along a ray path. For an accurate ground signature prediction the near field signature must be accurately modeled at a sufficient distance from the aircraft flight path in order to minimize errors in the one dimensional propagation model. This is a very challenging task for general purpose CFD tools in a design environment because the cost of maintaining highly accurate off-body solutions increases dramatically as the radial distance is enlarged in the computational domain. It is also particularly difficult to apply these tools for wave propagation because the algorithms are normally lower order and numerically dissipative and dispersive. In this work a space marching procedure based on an optimized higher order finite difference method is developed and applied in conjunction with a CFD solution concentrated in the close vicinity of the aircraft. This new approach is much more efficient, compared to previous methods, in providing highly accurate near field signatures for full carpet ground predictions. Results indicate that near field signatures retain more waveform shape information farther from the aircraft geometry while reducing the CFD cost significantly. The predicted ground signature is also shown to converge in shape as the radial distance of the near field signature grows, which is indicative of a more ideal initial condition being supplied to the one dimensional wave propagation to ground. The high-residual and bioaccumulation property of organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) creates enormous risks towards the ecological environment and human health, promoting the research for smart adsorbents and detection methods. Herein, 2D hemin-bridged MOF nanozyme (2D-ZHM) was fabricated and applied to the efficient removal and ultrasensitive dual-mode aptasensing of OPs. On the one hand, the prepared 2D-ZHM contained Zr-OH groups with high affinity for phosphate groups, endowing it with selective recognition and high adsorption capacity for OPs (285.7 mg g−1 for glyphosate). On the other hand, the enhanced peroxidase-mimicking biocatalytic property of 2D-ZHM allowed rapid H2O2-directed transformation of 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine to oxidic product, producing detectable colorimetric or photothermal signals. Using aptamers of specific recognition capacity, the rapid quantification of two typical OPs, glyphosate and omethoate, was realized with remarkable sensitivity and selectivity. The limit of detections (LODs) of glyphosate were 0.004 nM and 0.02 nM for colorimetric and photothermal methods, respectively, and the LODs of omethoate were 0.005 nM and 0.04 nM for colorimetric and photothermal methods, respectively. The constructed dual-mode aptasensing platform exhibited outstanding performance for monitoring OPs in water and fruit samples. The principle of the common heritage of mankind (CHM principle), as enshrined in Part XI of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, is the fundamental principle of sharing the resources of the international seabed area. The International Seabed Authority (the Authority) is the international institution that implements Part XI of the Convention and has the dual task of managing the exploration and exploitation of resources in the international seabed area and protecting the marine environment. This article dives into a deep analysis of the problems that have arisen in the course of the development of the sharing mechanism for resources in the international seabed area by the Authority, and further engages in the discussion on China's domestic legislative strategies for the mechanism for sharing of resources in the international seabed area. It is argued in this article that China's domestic deep-sea legal regime is an important part of global deep-sea governance, and has the potential to apply a 'corrective' function to the 'institutional misalignment' that occurs in the operation of the international seabed regime with the aim of promoting the sharing of resources in the international seabed area. Wearable sweat sensors exhibit significant promise in the realm of smart healthcare. Efficient and non‐contaminating continuous sweat collection, transport, and disposal are crucial for enhancing detection accuracy. In this study, a novel wearable sweat sensor is presented that integrates various biomimetic structures, including cactus‐inspired spine, shorebird‐inspired conical through‐holes, and frog‐foot‐inspired micro‐grooves. These structures facilitate sweat droplets to be automatically transported from the skin to the sensing chamber and discharged without external power. First, theoretical analysis, simulation, and experiments based on self‐driven droplet mechanisms to determine the optimal transport efficiency parameters for biomimetic structures are conducted. Next, a novel sweat transport module is fabricated through ultra‐precision 3D printing according to these optimal parameters. And this module has excellent sweat collection performance contrastively. Finally, the novel biomimetic sweat transport module is integrated with a high‐sensitivity glucose detection electrode, resulting in a wearable sweat glucose detection system. Human experiments monitoring glucose metabolism in sweat verify the correlation between glucose concentrations in blood and sweat, which proves the feasibility of reflecting changes in the body's circulatory system by monitoring changes in sweat composition. Summary: This study investigates the ℋ∞$$ {\mathscr{H}}_{\infty } $$ secure consensus issue for Markov jump multi‐agent systems with denial‐of‐service attacks and disturbance. Considering that the mode of the system cannot be directly obtained in the actual situation, a detector is constructed to obtain the mode of the system indirectly with the help of the hidden Markov model. The network communications between agents are undirected, and denial‐of‐service attacks are encountered randomly and represented by a random variate obeying Bernoulli distribution. The reduced‐order decomposed system is obtained by the method of model reduction. On this basis, the Lyapunov stability theory is applied to derive some sufficient conditions to guarantee that the system achieves consensus with a stipulated ℋ∞$$ {\mathscr{H}}_{\infty } $$ performance index. There is growing worldwide recognition of the threat posed by persistent organic pollutants (POPs) to wildlife populations. We aimed to measure exposure levels to POPs in a Southern Hemisphere aquatic waterbird species, the nomadic gray teal (Anas gracilis), which is found across Australia. We collected wings from 39 ducks harvested by recreational hunters at two sites (one coastal, one inland) in Victoria, southeastern Australia, in 2021. We examined three groups of POPs: nine congeners of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), 13 organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), and 12 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The PCBs, OCPs, and PAHs were detected at quantifiable levels in 13%, 72%, and 100% of birds, respectively. Of the congeners we tested for in PCBs, OCPs, and PAHs, 33%, 38%, and 100% were detected at quantifiable levels, respectively. The highest levels of exposure to POPs that we found were to the PAH benzo[b]fluoranthene, occurring at a concentration range of 1.78 to 161.05 ng/g wet weight. There were some trends detected relating to differences between geographical sites, with higher levels of several PAHs at the coastal versus inland site. There were several strong, positive associations among PAHs found. We discuss potential sources for the POPs detected, including industrial and agricultural sources, and the likely role of large‐scale forest fires in PAH levels. Our results confirm that while Australian waterbirds are exposed to a variety of POPs, exposure levels are currently relatively low. The aim of the study was to explore the significance and prognostic value of 25-hydroxy vitamin D (25-(OH) D) deficiency in peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCLs). One hundred fifty-six patients of newly diagnosed PTCLs were enrolled in the study. Univariate and multivariate regression analyses were performed to determine independent risk factors for progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted, and corresponding areas under the curve (AUC) were calculated to estimate the accuracy of International Prognostic Index (IPI) plus 25-(OH) D deficiency and Prognostic Index for T-cell lymphoma (PIT) plus 25-(OH) D deficiency respectively in PTCL risk stratification. Our results showed that the 25-(OH) D deficiency was an independent inferior prognostic factor for both PFS (P = 0.0019) and OS (P = 0.005) for PTCLs, especially for AITL and PTCL-not otherwise specified (PTCL-NOS). Additionally, adding 25-(OH) D deficiency to PIT indeed has a superior prognostic significance than PIT alone for PFS (P = 0.043) and OS (P = 0.036). Multivariate COX regression analysis revealed that PIT 2‒4, albumin (ALB) ≤ 35 g/L, and 25-(OH) D deficiency were regarded as independent risk factors of PFS and OS. Our results showed that 25-(OH) D deficiency was associated with inferior survival outcome of PTCLs, especially for AITL and PTCL-NOS. Thyroid cancer is the most common type of endocrine cancer. Chemokine-like factor (CKLF)-like MARVEL transmembrane domain containing 6 (CMTM6) is recognized as one of its potential immunotherapy targets. The purpose of this study was to investigate the role and molecular mechanism of CMTM6 in regulating the development of thyroid cancer cells. In this study, expression levels of CMTM6 and the sodium/iodide symporter (NIS) were detected by qRT-PCR. Additionally, colony formation assay and flow cytometry were used to detect cell proliferation and apoptosis, while expression levels of various proteins were assessed using Western blotting. Further, the apoptosis and invasion capacity of cells were investigated by scratch and transwell experiments. Finally, the effect of CMTM6 on the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of thyroid cancer cells was determined by immunofluorescence assay, which measured the expression levels of epithelial and mesenchymal phenotypic markers. The results of qRT-PCR experiments showed that CMTM6 was highly expressed in thyroid cancer tissues and cells. In addition, knockdown of CMTM6 expression significantly increased NIS expression. Function experiments demonstrated that small interfering (si)-CMTM6 treatment inhibited the proliferation, migration, invasion, and EMT of thyroid cancer cells, while promoting apoptosis of FTC133 cells. Furthermore, mechanistic studies showed that mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) phosphorylation were inhibited by si-CMTM6, as demonstrated by Western blot experiments. In conclusion, our findings demonstrated the role of CMTM6 in the metastasis of thyroid cancer. Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) as a bio-based polymer with biodegradability and biocompatibility has attracted much attention. To manipulate its properties for different applications, regulation of crystal structure and crystalline morphology becomes an attractive research topic. In this work, the structure evolution of layered samples containing an amorphous poly(D-lactide) (PDLA) layer and a crystalline poly(L-lactide) (PLLA) layer with highly oriented edge-on α lamellar crystals after annealing at 150 °C or/and after melt-recrystallization has been studied by AFM, FTIR, and TEM combined with electron diffraction. The results demonstrate that melt recrystallization of the as-prepared sample leads to the formation of abundant randomly oriented PLA stereo-complex (PLA SC) crystals. Annealing at 150 °C results in the formation of a small amount of oriented PLA SC crystals at the interface. These PLA SC crystals show great impact on the recrystallization behavior of sample after melting at 190 °C and then crystallizing at 90 °C. First, they impede the mutual diffusion of the overlying PDLA and underlying PLLA, and thus reduce their stereocomplexation ability as manifested by the decreased amount of PLA SC crystals. Second, they act as substrate to initiate the epitaxial crystallization of the overlying PDLA and underlying PLLA, which ensures the production of a highly oriented structure of PDLA and PLLA after melt recrystallization again. The YxNi2−yMny system was investigated in the region 0.825 ≤ x ≤ 0.95, 0.1 ≤ y ≤ 0.3. The alloys were synthesized by induction melting and corresponding annealing. The substitution of Mn for Ni (y = 0.1) favors the formation of a C15 structure with disordered Y vacancies against the superstructure of Y0.95Ni2. For y = 0.2 and 0.3, Mn can substitute in both Y and Ni sites. Single-phase compounds with a C15 structure can be formed by adjusting both the Y and Mn contents. Their hydrogen absorption–desorption properties were measured by pressure–composition isotherm (PCI) measurements at 150 °C, and the hydrides were characterized at room temperature by X-ray diffraction and TG–DSC experiments. The PCIs show two plateaus corresponding to the formation of crystalline and amorphous hydrides. The heating of the amorphous hydrides leads to an endothermic desorption at first and then a recrystallization into Y(Ni, Mn)3 and YHx phases. At higher temperatures, the Y hydride desorbs, and a recombination into a Y(Ni, Mn)2 Laves phase compound is observed. For y = 0.1, vacancy formation in the Y site and partial Mn substitution in the Ni site enhance the structural stability and suppress the hydrogen-induced amorphization (HIA). However, for a larger Mn content (y ≥ 0.2), Mn substitutes also in the Y sites at the expense of Y vacancies. This yields worse structural stability upon hydrogenation than for y = 0.1, as the mean ratio r(Y, Mn)/r(Ni/Mn) becomes larger than for y = 0.1 r(Y, ☐)/r(Ni/Mn). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Post-hepatectomy liver failure (PHLF) leads to poor prognosis in patients undergoing hepatectomy, with hepatic vascular reconstitution playing a critical role. However, the regulators of hepatic vascular reconstitution remain unclear. In this study, we aimed to investigate the regulatory mechanisms of hepatic vascular reconstitution and identify biomarkers predicting PHLF in patients undergoing hepatectomy. Candidate genes that were associated with hepatic vascular reconstitution were screened using adeno-associated virus vectors in Alb-Cre-CRISPR/Cas9 mice subjected to partial hepatectomy. The biological activities of candidate genes were estimated using endothelial precursor transfusion and associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) models. The level of candidates was detected in biopsies from patients undergoing ALPPS. Risk factors for PHLF were also screened using retrospective data. Downregulation of Gata3 and upregulation of Ramp2 in hepatocytes promoted the proliferation of liver sinusoidal endothelial cells and hepatic revascularization. Pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF) and vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA) played opposite roles in regulating the migration of endothelial precursors from bone marrow and the formation of new sinusoids after hepatectomy. Gata3 restricted endothelial cell function in patient-derived hepatic organoids, which was abrogated by a Gata3 inhibitor. Moreover, overexpression of Gata3 led to higher mortality in ALPPS mice, which was improved by a PEDF-neutralizing antibody. The expression of Gata3/RAMP and PEDF/VEGFA tended to have a negative correlation in patients undergoing ALPPS. A nomogram incorporating multiple factors, such as serum PEDF/VEGF index, was constructed and could efficiently predict the risk of PHLF. The balance of Gata3 and Ramp2 in hepatocytes regulates the proliferation of liver sinusoidal endothelial cells and hepatic revascularization via changes in the expression of PEDF and VEGFA, revealing potential targets for the prevention and treatment of PHLF. In this study, we show that the balance of Gata3 and Ramp2 in hepatocytes regulates hepatic vascular reconstitution by promoting a shift from pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF) to vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA) expression during hepatectomy- or ALLPS (associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy)-induced liver regeneration. We also identified serum PEDF/VEGFA index as a potential predictor of post-hepatectomy liver failure in patients who underwent hepatectomy. This article concentrates on the non‐zero‐sum games problem of discrete‐time Markov jump systems without requiring the system dynamics information. First, the multiplayer non‐zero‐sum games problem can be converted to solve a set of coupled game algebraic Riccati equations, which is difficult to be solved directly. Then, to obtain the optimal control policies, a model‐based algorithm adapting the policy iteration approach is proposed. However, the model‐based algorithm relies on system dynamics information, which has the limitations in practice. Subsequently, an off‐policy reinforcement learning algorithm is given to get rid of the dependence on system dynamics information, which only uses the information of system states and inputs. An intense tropical cyclone (TC), TC Hellen, occurred in the northern Mozambique Channel on March 27, 2014, and moved from the east coast of the African continent to the northern Madagascar island. TC Hellen dramatically altered the marine environment in the northern Mozambique Channel, resulting in a significant chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) bloom. A giant surface Chl-a northwest-ward movement from the northwest coast of Madagascar Island was first observed after the passage of TC Hellen in the northern Mozambique Channel. The dynamic mechanisms of these phenomenon were studied by satellite remote sensing, multisource reanalysis data, and Argo float data. The results show that transient northwestward-moving eddies, upwelling, and winds had important effects on the Chl-a bloom and its northwestward movement. Ekman transport driven by coastal southeasterly winds entrained waters with high Chl-a concentrations to the northwest, while TC Hellen enhanced cyclonic eddy upwelling and uplifted nutrient-rich deep water to the upper ocean. This vertical mixing and upwelling in turn triggered the Chl-a bloom in the offshore surface layer. Cellulose is the most abundant and "green" biomass resource on earth and gains tremendous attention. It is expected to become an alternative for traditional chemical and petroleum resources. This review describes the traditional solvents used for industrial processes, the non‐derivative organic solvents, and the aqueous solution systems, along with their dissolution mechanisms and development of fiber‐spinning processes. The problems associated with the industrial production of viscose fibers and cuprammonium fibers are also discussed. This paper focuses on the research status of regenerated cellulose fibers (RCFs) prepared with green and no‐pollution aqueous solutions and provides some effective strategies and methods for improving the mechanical strength of RCFs and promoting the implementation of industrial production. Purpose: Lymphocyte-monocyte ratio (LMR) has previously been used as a prognostic predictor in various solid tumors. This research aims in comparing the prognostic predictive Please check and conability of several inflammatory parameters and clinical parameters to validate further the excellent prognostic value of LMR in patients with gastric cancer treated with apatinib. Methods: Monitor inflammatory, nutritional parameters and tumor markers. Cutoff values of the parameters concerned were identified with the X-tile program. Subgroup analysis was made via Kaplan–Meier curves, and univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses were used to find independent prognostic factors. The nomogram of logistic regression models was constructed according to the results. Results: A total of 192 patients (115 divided into training group and 77 into validation group) who received the second- or later-line regimen of apatinib were retrospectively analyzed. The optimal cutoff value for LMR was 1.33. Patients with high LMR (LMR-H) were significantly longer than those with low LMR (LMR-L) in progression-free survival (median 121.0 days vs. median 44.5 days, P < 0.001). The predictive value of LMR was generally uniform across subgroups. Meanwhile, LMR and CA19-9 were the only hematological parameters with significant prognostic value in multivariate analysis. The area under the LMR curve (0.60) was greatest for all inflammatory indices. Adding LMR to the base model significantly enhanced the predictive power of the 6-month probability of disease progression (PD). The LMR-based nomogram showed good predictive power and discrimination in external validation. Conclusion: LMR is a simple but effective predictor of prognosis for patients treated with apatinib. In this paper, the dynamic behavior of a self-propelled droplet along a conical fiber is simulated by using an improved lattice Boltzmann color-gradient method. This method is developed on the basis of our recently developed density ratio model [Zhang et al., Int. Commun. Heat Mass Transfer, 137, 106284 (2022).], but a wetting boundary condition is added to account for the moving contact line on an arbitrary solid surface. First, this method is validated against the analytical droplet shapes and contact angles for droplets surrounded by matrix fluids of different densities on flat and spherical surfaces, and the spontaneous transport of a droplet on a conical fiber. This method is then adopted to systematically study the effects of the Bond number (B o), surface wettability (θ), cone hemi-angle (α), and droplet volume on the droplet dynamic behavior. In each case, the results show that the droplet climbing velocity first increases and then decreases, and a velocity fluctuation is observed, which is due to that the apparent receding and advancing contact angles do not simultaneously reach the equilibrium contact angle. As droplet volume increases, the equilibrium droplet height monotonically increases. As B o or θ increases, the droplet climbing height and the wetting area both decrease. We develop a new stochastic analysis approach to the lattice Yang–Mills model at strong coupling in any dimension d > 1 , with t' Hooft scaling β N for the inverse coupling strength. We study their Langevin dynamics, ergodicity, functional inequalities, large N limits, and mass gap. Assuming | β | < N - 2 32 (d - 1) N for the structure group SO(N), or | β | < 1 16 (d - 1) for SU(N), we prove the following results. The invariant measure for the corresponding Langevin dynamic is unique on the entire lattice, and the dynamic is exponentially ergodic under a Wasserstein distance. The finite volume Yang–Mills measures converge to this unique invariant measure in the infinite volume limit, for which Log-Sobolev and Poincaré inequalities hold. These functional inequalities imply that the suitably rescaled Wilson loops for the infinite volume measure has factorized correlations and converges in probability to deterministic limits in the large N limit, and correlations of a large class of observables decay exponentially, namely the infinite volume measure has a strictly positive mass gap. Accurately reconstructing deep cortical source activity from EEG recordings is essential for understanding cognitive processes. However, currently, there is a lack of reliable methods for assessing the performance of EEG source localization algorithms. This study establishes an algorithm evaluation framework, utilizing realistic human head models and simulated EEG source signals with spatial propagations. We compare the performance of several newly proposed Bayesian algorithms, including full Dugh, thin Dugh, and Mackay, against classical methods such as MN and eLORETA. Our results, which are based on 630 Monte Carlo simulations, demonstrate that thin Dugh and Mackay are mathematically sound and perform significantly better in spatial and temporal source reconstruction than classical algorithms. Mackay is less robust spatially, while thin Dugh performs best overall. Conversely, we show that full Dugh has significant theoretical flaws that negatively impact localization accuracy. This research highlights the advantages and limitations of various source localization algorithms, providing valuable insights for future development and refinement in EEG source localization methods. We propose wavelet-L1-estimation for non parametric location-scale models from multiple subjects. The advantage of the wavelet is to avoid the restrictive smoothness requirement for the location and scale functions of the traditional smoothing approaches, such as kernel and local polynomial methods. Under a general dependence framework, which allows for longitudinal data and some spatially correlated data, uniform consistency, uniform Bahadur representation, and asymptotic normality for the proposed estimators of the location and scale functions are established. The vinylene‐bridged helical perylene diimide (PDI) dimer (PDI2) with a build‐in twisted configuration is an alternative building block to the parent PDI for the construction of efficient non‐fullerene acceptor (NFAs). Moreover, it has been proved asymmetric strategy plays a vital role in the development of NFAs. Herein, we designed and synthesized a pair of acceptor‐donor‐acceptor (A−D‐A) type PDI2 derivatives, namely IDTIC‐PDI and IDT‐diPDI2, which contain asymmetric and symmetric end‐cap units, respectively. To determine the structure–performance relationships of asymmetric strategy, the organic solar cells (OSCs) based on these two molecules were fabricated and measured. The asymmetric IDTIC‐PDI based device exhibits a much higher PCE of 8.23 % than that of symmetric IDT‐diPDI2 (5.21 %). Objective: The present study aimed to provide more insight into the possible differences in the fertility-related quality of life (FertiQoL) and emotional status of women undergoing different cycles of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. Methods: A prospective cohort study was performed, and a total of 432 women undergoing IVF treatment were recruited. FertiQoL scale, self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), self-rating depression scale (SDS), and perceived social support scale (PSSS) were used to analyze fertility-related QoL and emotional status. Data were analyzed comparing women undergoing different cycles of IVF treatments. Results: A significant decrease in FertiQoL scores occurred in women with increased cycles of IVF treatment. Both anxiety and depression scores significantly increased with increased cycles of attempting IVF treatment. There was no significant difference detected in perceived social support among groups. Conclusion: With the increase in the number of IVF treatment cycles, women's FertiQoL gradually decreased, while the risk of anxiety and depression gradually increased. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Spin–orbit torque (SOT) can provide efficient electrical manipulation of magnetism via applying electrical current to breaking the symmetry of damping-like torque. In the heterojunction of heavy and ferromagnetic metal, Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction (DMI) is one of the key ingredients for stabilizing chiral spin structures, like chiral domain walls. Meanwhile, materials with larger charge-spin conversion rates are also highly expected for the efficient SOT. In this paper, spin–orbit torque magnetic switching is observed in the perpendicularly magnetized Pt/Co/Bi2Se3 and shows relatively high efficiency with low critical switching current density of about 5 × 105 A cm−2. The SOT efficiency and DMI in perpendicularly magnetized Pt/Co/Bi2Se3 were quantitatively investigated by electrical detection of the effective spin Hall field. The DMI constant is about 2.6 mJ m−2, and the effective spin Hall angle of Pt/Co/Bi2Se3 is about 0.14. The work also demonstrates that the Bi2Se3 layer takes the main responsibility for SOT, and the Pt/Co interface is the main source of DMI in Pt/Co/Bi2Se3 structures, which makes it possible to achieve independent optimization of DMI and SOT in the Pt/Co/Bi2Se3 structure at room temperature for the advanced application of spintronic devices. The aim of this study was to investigate the prognostic value of low T3 syndrome in follicular lymphoma (FL). A total of 221 FL patients with detailed serum thyroid hormone levels and other complete clinical data were enrolled. Baseline features associated with low T3 syndrome were analyzed and balanced by propensity score matching. Univariate and multivariate regression analyses were performed to determine independent risk factors for progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). A receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was plotted, and the area under the curve (AUC) was calculated to assess the predictive accuracy of FL international prognostic index FLIPI-1/FLIPI-2 and low T3 syndrome. A total of 22 patients (10.0%) had low T3 syndrome at diagnosis, which was associated with poor PFS and OS in the rituximab era. It is an independent prognostic factor for PFS and OS. Low T3 syndrome and FLIPI-1/FLIPI-2 significantly increased the AUC of PFS and OS compared to FLIPI-1/FLIPI-2 alone. Low T3 is a risk factor for POD24. In conclusion, low T3 syndrome may be a good candidate for predicting the prognosis of CLL in future clinical practice. Volcanic arc degassing contributes significantly to atmospheric CO 2 levels and therefore has a pivotal impact on paleoclimate changes. The Neo-Tethyan decarbonation subduction is thought to have played a major role in Cenozoic climate changes, although there are still no quantifiable restrictions. Here we build past subduction scenarios using an improved seismic tomography reconstruction method and calculate the subducted slab flux in the India–Eurasia collision region. We find remarkable synchronicity between calculated slab flux and paleoclimate parameters in the Cenozoic, indicating a causal link between these processes. The closure of the Neo-Tethyan intra-oceanic subduction resulted in more carbon-rich sediments subducting along the Eurasia margin, as well as continental arc volcanoes, which further triggered global warming up to the Early Eocene Climatic Optimum. The abrupt termination of the Neo-Tethyan subduction due to the India–Eurasia collision could be the primary tectonic cause of the ∼50–40 Ma CO 2 drop. The gradual decrease in atmospheric CO 2 concentration after 40 Ma may be attributed to enhance continental weathering due to the growth of the Tibetan Plateau. Our results contribute to a better understanding of the dynamic implications of Neo-Tethyan Ocean evolution and may provide new constraints for future carbon cycle models. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As observed by remote sensing images in December 2013 and January 2014, chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) bloom occurred on the south side of the Agulhas Current (38°S-45°S). The dynamic mechanisms of Chl-a bloom were studied by satellite remote sensing data, reanalysis data and Argo data. The periodic shedding of the Agulhas ring led to a significant eastward shift of the Agulhas retroflection from December 2013 to January 2014, without the obstruction of flowing complex eddies and with increased current flow. Then, the horizontal transfer of Chl-a occurred along the south side of the Agulhas Current (38°S-45°S). Nitrate concentrations reached 10–15 μmol·L-1 on the south side of the Agulhas Current, where a deepened mixed layer and upwelling and the vertical transport of nutrients contributed to the Chl-a bloom. A set of criteria are derived to analyze the regularity, causality, and stochastic stability for the filtering error system with an ℋ∞$$ {\mathscr{H}}_{\infty } $$ performance index. Carbon-based all-inorganic perovskite solar cells (C-IPSCs) without hole transport layer (HTL) are of great interest because of their excellent stability and low production costs. In contrast to hybrid PSCs with HTLs, C-IPSCs have not yet attained great conversion efficiency. In this work, a new C-IPSC with gradient doping structure and gradient energy band structure using CsPbI 3 as an absorber is proposed and numerically simulated by SCAPS-1D. The C-IPSC was optimized from various aspects including absorber layer thickness, doping gradient, doping concentration, defect, and energy band gradient. The optimal thickness of CsPbI 3 is determined based on the optical absorption properties. Through a thorough analysis of the energy band structure, the intensity of the built-in electric field, and the recombination rate, it is found that the presence of the doping gradient introduces the built-in electric field, which promotes the movement of photogenerated carriers between the layers and significantly improves the efficiency of C-IPSCs. In order to address the issue of energy level mismatch, we propose to construct an energy band gradient. The presence of the energy band gradient improves the energy level matching of the device and provides paths for the movement of holes and electrons. In addition to the doping concentration, and defect density, we have chosen according to the optical performance and manufacturing level. Through a series of optimization, the C-IPSC with gradient structure has an efficiency of 21.15%. Spatial memory is significant in modeling animal movement. For a diffusive consumer-resource model, a memory-based diffusion of consumer can result in richer and more realistic dynamics. In fact, memory-based diffusion is related to the resource distributions in past times because the memory decays over time. We originally propose a consumer-resource model with distributed memory, and then investigate the influence of the weak memory kernel on the stability of the positive constant steady state. When the memory-based diffusion coefficient is negative, the mean delay does not affect the stability of the positive constant steady state; however, when the memory-based diffusion coefficient is positive, the mean delay can lead to the spatially inhomogeneous periodic oscillation patterns. Background: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) reactivation impact negatively the prognosis of patients with HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study aimed to observe the effect of antiviral therapy (AVT) on viral reactivation and long-term outcomes after percutaneous radiofrequency ablation (PRFA) for HBV-related HCC. Methods: Data on 538 patients between 2009 and 2013 were reviewed. Propensity score matching (PSM) analysis was used to adjust for differences in baseline features between patients who received AVT (AVT group) and did not receive it (non-AVT group). Logistic regression was used to identify the independent factors for viral reactivation. The tumor recurrence and overall survival (OS) rates were analyzed using the Kaplan–Meier method. Recurrence patterns were also investigated. Results: HBV reactivation developed in 10.8% (58/538) of patients after PRFA. AVT was associated independently with decreased viral reactivation (odd ratio: 0.061, 95% confidence interval: 0.018–0.200). In 215 pairs of patients obtained after PSM, the AVT group had lower 1-, 3-, and 5-year recurrence rates (24%, 55%, and 67% vs 33%, 75%, and 85%, respectively) and higher 1-, 3-, and 5-year OS rates (100%, 67%, and 59% vs 100%, 52%, and 42%, respectively) than non-AVT group (P < 0.001 for both). Additionally, the relapses in distant hepatic segments and the late recurrence after 2 years of PRFA were significantly reduced in the AVT group (78/215 vs 111/215 vs., P = 0.001; 39/109 vs. 61/91, P = 0.012, respectively). Conclusions: AVT reduced late and distal intrahepatic recurrence and improved OS in patients undergoing PRFA for HBV-related HCC by inhibiting viral reactivation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites (CFTPCs) have shown advantages such as high strength, long life, corrosion resistance, and green recyclability. Three-dimensional printing of CFTPCs opened up a new strategy for the fabrication of composites with complicated structures, low cost, and short production cycles. However, a traditional 3D printing process usually causes poor impregnation of the fiber or surface damage of the fiber due to the short impregnation time or high viscosity of the thermoplastic resin. Here, continuous carbon fiber/poly(ether-ether-ketones) (CCF/PEEK) wrapped yarn was fabricated via powder impregnation and using double spinning technology for the 3D printing. The concentration of PEEK powder suspension and wire speed were optimized as 15% and 2.0 m/min. The twist of wrapped yarn was optimized as 1037 T/m. Mechanical testing showed that the 3D-printed composite wire had excellent tensile and bending strength, which was about 1.6~4.2 times larger than those without the powder pre-impregnation process. It is mainly attributed to the improved impregnation of the CF which took place during the powder pre-impregnation process. The vinylene‐bridged helical PDI dimer (PDI2) has been an alternative PDI building block for non‐fullerene acceptor (NFAs). However, the development of PDI2 derivatives still lag behind, and most of PDI2 derivatives based organic solar cells (OSCs) only achieved a moderate power conversion efficiencies (PCE) of less than 8%. In this contribution, an acceptor‐donor‐acceptor‐donor‐acceptor (A‐D‐A'‐D‐A) architecture was introduced to facilitate the improvement of photovoltaic properties. Two acceptors named diIDTIC‐PDI2 and diFIDTIC‐PDI2 were designed and synthesized, in which a PDI2 moiety flanked with two indacenodithiophene (IDT) units was employed as the D‐A'‐D core and 2‐(3‐oxo‐2,3‐dihydro‐1H‐inden‐1‐ylidene)malononitrile (IC) or fluorinated IC (IC2F) acted as terminal groups, respectively. The photovoltaic performances of these two acceptors were explored using PM1 as the electron donor. Compared to diIDTIC‐PDI2, the fluorinated diFIDTIC‐PDI2 based OSCs obtained enhanced photovoltaic performance with the best PCE of 9.77%, a VOC of 0.957 V, JSC of 13.58 mA cm−2 and FF of 75.1%. These results illustrate that engineering terminal groups is a robust strategy of enhancing the efficiency of PDI based acceptors with A‐D‐A'‐D‐A architecture. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Wearable biosensors are playing an increasingly important role in society. Compared with traditional wearable biosensors for detecting blood pressure, blood oxygen, or pulse conditions, which can only access information from the physical level, biosensors for testing body fluids can provide more details on health conditions through the analysis of biochemical criteria. Sweat secreted from glands distributed throughout the body contains abundant biochemical information and is an indicator of the physical conditions. Because of the noninvasive and safe sampling method, wearable sweat monitoring systems have the potential to realize long‐term and wearable detection. In this review, the current situation of wearable sweat monitoring systems is summarized from three critical parts: the sweat collection method, the sweat analysis method, and the energy supply. Finally, based on the existing drawbacks of wearable sweat monitoring systems in previous studies, the authors creatively propose droplet‐based detection, triboelectric nanogenerator‐based detection, and self‐powered systems as new directions for future research. This paper studies the discrete-time slow state feedback fault-tolerant controller design issue for Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy-model-based Markov jump singularly perturbed nonlinear systems, in which transition probabilities of systems subject to persistent dwell-time switching mechanism. In order to eliminate the influence of actuator faults and provide a more flexible control strategy, a multi-objective fault-tolerant controller is designed to ensure the stability of the system and meet the requirements of various performance indexes. The goal is to establish some sufficient conditions, which ensure the mean-square exponential stability and the extended dissipativity performance of the closed-loop system. Furthermore, the gains of the designed controller can be obtained by solving the problem of convex optimization. Objective: To evaluate the effects of CO2 pneumoperitoneum on venous hemodynamics and cardiopulmonary function during transperitoneal or retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery. Materials and Methods: A single-institution prospective study. Forty-three patients with renal-cell carcinoma undergoing retroperitoneal (22) or transperitoneal (21) laparoscopic partial nephrectomy were enrolled. Hemodynamic functions were monitored by minimally invasive FloTrac/Vigileo system. Transesophageal echocardiography was used to measure the diameter and blood flow of the inferior vena cava (IVC). Measured parameters were recorded at baseline, 10, 30, 60 minutes following insufflation to 14 mm Hg and 10 minutes following desufflation. Results: For hemodynamic changes in the transperitoneal laparoscopic surgery (TPL) and retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery (RPL), transperitoneal CO2 insufflation resulted in a rapid parallel increase in central intravenous pressure (CVP), peak airway pressure (AWP), and IVC blood flow velocity after the first 30 minutes of pneumoperitoneum (p < 0.05). In contrast, CVP, AWP, and IVC blood flow velocity increased progressively in RPL. The variation of those parameters was significantly lower than that of TRL (p < 0.001; p = 0.002; p = 0.004). The mean maximum CVP in the two groups was 20 and 16 mm Hg, respectively. The IVC diameter at the cavoatrial junction was significantly reduced in TPL after 10 minutes of insufflation, but it remained unchanged in RPL throughout the surgery. For cardiopulmonary function changes, heart output decreased after a short period of pneumoperitoneum, but no statistical differences were observed between the two groups. The increments of partial pressure of arterial carbon dioxide and end-tidal carbon dioxide tension were significantly higher in RPL than TPL (p < 0.001; p < 0.001). Conclusions: Compared with retroperitoneal pneumoperitoneum, transperitoneal pneumoperitoneum has significant effects on IVC hemodynamics. Elevated intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) causes higher AWP and venous return resistance, which lead to the significant increase of CVP during transperitoneal approach. Purpose. Present study is aimed to explore the role of miR-186-5p in sepsis-induced coagulation disorders and molecular mechanisms. Methods. Thirty-four sepsis patients and 34 respiratory infection/pneumonia patients were selected in the present study. Polymicrobial sepsis model was created by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP). The mRNA expression was detected by qRT-PCR. Western blot was utilized to measure protein expression. Thromborel S Reagent was applied to measure the prothrombin time (PT). Platelet count of blood was measured via LH 780. ELISA kits were utilized to evaluate the fibrinogen and PAI-1 concentration. Results. MiR-186-5p expression was lower and nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT) mRNA expression was higher in sepsis patients in contrast to control group. Coagulation time was markedly prolonged and platelet count was markedly decreased in CLP mice. In addition, fibrinogen concentration was obviously lower and PAI-1 concentration was obviously higher in CLP mice. MiR-186-5p mimic obviously decreased coagulation time and PAI-1 concentration, while raised platelet count and fibrinogen concentration. Targetscan predicted miR-186-5p might directly regulates NAMPT, and luciferase reporter assay verified this prediction. In addition, miR-186-5p mimic obviously inhibited the mRNA expression of NAMPT. Knockdown of NAMPT improved coagulation dysfunction in sepsis. Overexpression of NAMPT reversed the improvement effect of miR-186-5p on coagulation dysfunction. The effect of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor on neonatal lung development was inconclusive. To evaluate pulmonary function in school-age children who have received intravitreal bevacizumab (IVB) for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), this study included 118 school-aged children who were grouped into three groups: full-term control children (group 1), preterm children who had not received IVB treatment (group 2) and preterm children with ROP who had received IVB treatment (group 3). Pulmonary function was measured by spirometry and impulse oscillometry. Pulmonary function was significantly better in group 1 than in groups 2 and 3 (all p < 0.05 in forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1), forced expiratory flow between 25 and 75% of FVC (FEF25–75), and respiratory resistance at 5 Hz and difference between respiratory resistance at 5 and 20 Hz (R5-R20). There were no statistically significant differences between group 2 and group 3 in all pulmonary function parameters, including FVC, FEV1, ratio of FEV1 to FVC, FEF25-75, R5, R20, R5–R20, and respiratory reactance at 5 Hz. In conclusion, our study revealed that preterm infants receiving IVB for ROP had comparable pulmonary function at school age to their preterm peers who had not received IVB treatment. In this paper we study the large N limit of the O(N)-invariant linear sigma model, which is a vector-valued generalization of the Φ 4 quantum field theory, on the three dimensional torus. We study the problem via its stochastic quantization, which yields a coupled system of N interacting SPDEs. We prove tightness of the invariant measures in the large N limit. Wearable sweat sensors can analyze the abundant composition of solutes and metabolites in sweat to reflect the health state of the wearers in real time. The realization of active motion control for sweat droplets is significant for a multifunctional sweat monitoring device with several analysis chambers. Here, a wearable droplet‐based human sweat monitoring platform (WSMP), by combining an electrowetting on dielectrics (EWOD) device and a triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG), is demonstrated. It allows to collect and transport sweat droplets in different chambers by dielectric wetting effect and eventually merge and react with a pH indicator. The mechanical and electrical model of WSMP is introduced to describe the relationship between the open‐circuit voltage of the TENG and the voltage applied on the EWOD device. The high‐voltage electrical field generated by the TENG can change the wettability of solid–liquid interfaces and realize the controlling of droplet motion. The contact angle of electrolyte droplets changes over 30% with the triboelectric voltage of 5 kV. The driving, merging, and color reaction can be realized by actively controlling the motion of droplets. Finally, a wearable WSMP worn on the shank successfully demonstrates the preliminary detection of the pH level of human sweat. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Controlling defects and interfaces in composite absorbers can effectively regulate electromagnetic (EM) parameters and enhance the electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption ability, but the mechanism still needs to be further elucidated. In this study, ZnFe2O4/ZnO/C composite was synthesized via the hydrothermal method followed by post-annealing in different atmospheres. Defects and interfaces were characterized by Raman, PL spectroscopy, XPS and TEM, and their relationship with dielectric loss and EMW absorption performance was discussed in detail. Results show that the N2-annealed ZnFe2O4/ZnO/C composite with abundant defects and interfaces as well as an optimized composition exhibits excellent EMW dissipation ability, with a RLmin value of −17.4 dB and an fe of 3.85 GHz at a thickness of 2.28 mm. The excellent EMW absorption performance originates from suitable impedance matching, significant conduction loss and strong dielectric loss (interfacial polarization, diploe polarization and defect polarization) dominated by lattice defects and interfaces. This study provides a view into the relationship between defects, interfaces, EM parameters and EMW absorption ability, and also suggests an effective way to promote EMW dissipation ability of the absorbers by controlling defects and interfaces. Background: N (nitrogen) and P (phosphorus) play important roles in plant growth and fitness, and both are the most important limiting factors that affect grassland structure and function. However, we still know little about plant physiological responses to N and P enrichment in alpine grassland of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. In our experiment, five dominant common herbaceous species were selected and their photosynthetic parameters, leaf N content, and aboveground biomass were measured. Results: We found that species-specific responses to N and P enrichment were obvious at individual level. N addition (72 kg Nha−1 yr−1), P addition (36 kg Pha−1 yr−1) and NP addition (72 kg Nha−1 yr−1and 36 kg P ha−1 yr−1, simultaneously) significantly promoted net photosynthetic rate of Leymus secalinus. Differential responses also existed in the same functional groups. Responses of forb species to the nutrients addition varied, Aconitum carmichaeli was more sensitive to nutrients addition including N addition (72 kg Nha−1 yr−1), P addition (36 kg Pha−1 yr−1) and NP addition (72 kg Nha−1 yr−1and 36 kg P ha−1 yr−1). Responses of plant community photosynthetic traits were not so sensitive as those of plant individuals under N and P enrichment. Conclusions: Our findings highlighted that photosynthetic responses of alpine plants to N and P enrichment were species-specific. Grass species Leymus secalinus had a higher competitive advantage compared with other species under nutrient enrichment. Additionally, soil pH variation and nutrients imbalance induced by N and P enrichment is the main cause that affect photosynthetic traits of plant in alpine steppe of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. In this Review, we review some recent rigorous results on large N problems in quantum field theory, stochastic quantization, and singular stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs) and their mean field limit problems. In particular, we discuss the O(N) linear sigma model on a two- and three-dimensional torus. The stochastic quantization procedure leads to a coupled system of N interacting Φ4 equations. In d = 2, we show uniformity in N bounds for the dynamics and convergence to a mean-field singular SPDE. For large enough mass or small enough coupling, the invariant measures [i.e., the O(N) linear sigma model] converge to the massive Gaussian free field, the unique invariant measure of the mean-field dynamics, in a Wasserstein distance. We also obtain tightness for certain O(N) invariant observables as random fields in suitable Besov spaces as N → ∞, along with exact descriptions of the limiting correlations. In d = 3, the estimates become more involved since the equation is more singular. We discuss in this case how to prove convergence to the massive Gaussian free field. The proofs of these results build on the recent progress of singular SPDE theory and combine many new techniques, such as uniformity in N estimates and dynamical mean field theory. In this paper we introduce the stochastic Ricci flow (SRF) in two spatial dimensions. The flow is symmetric with respect to a measure induced by Liouville conformal field theory. Using the theory of Dirichlet forms, we construct a weak solution to the associated equation of the area measure on a flat torus, in the full " |$L^1$| regime" |$\sigma < \sigma _{L^1}=2 \sqrt \pi $| where |$\sigma $| is the noise strength.
