Background: Growing evidence suggests that community-based interventions may be effective for anxiety and depression. This study aimed to describe studies of community interventions delivered to adults and/or young people, either in person or online, evaluated in randomised controlled trials and provide an indication as to their effectiveness, acceptability, quality of data and where possible, mechanisms of action. We included interventions delivered at and/or by museums, art galleries, libraries, gardens, music groups/choirs and sports clubs. Method: We developed and followed a preregistered protocol: PROSPERO CRD42020204471. Randomised controlled trials in adults and young people were identified in an extensive search with no date/time, language, document type and publication status limitations. Studies were selected according to predetermined eligibility criteria and data independently extracted and then assessed using Risk of Bias 1. The studies were deemed too heterogeneous for meta-analysis and were therefore reported using a narrative synthesis. Results: Our analysis included 31 studies, with 2898 participants. Community interventions most studied in randomised controlled trials were community music (12 studies, 1432 participants), community exercise (14 studies, 955 participants) and community gardens/gardening (6 studies, 335 participants). The majority of studies were from high-income countries – many were in specific populations (such as those with physical health problems) and were generally of low quality. Dropout rates across the included studies were low (1 participant on average per 100 participants). The inadequate description of interventions limited identification of potential mechanisms of action. Discussion: The uncertainty of the evidence allows only a weak recommendation in support of community interventions for anxiety and depression. The results suggest community engagement is a promising area for wide-reaching interventions to be implemented and evaluated, but more high-quality trials are needed, especially in young people and under-represented communities.

Given the widespread deployment of cyber-physical systems and their safety-critical nature, reliability and security guarantees offered by such systems are of paramount importance. While the security of such systems against sensor attacks have garnered significant attention from researchers in recent times, improving the reliability of a control software implementation against transient environmental disturbances need to be investigated further. Scalable formal methods for verification of actual control performance guarantee offered by software implementations of control laws in the face of sensory faults have been explored in recent work [20]. However, the formal verification of the improvement of system reliability by incorporating sensor fault mitigation techniques like Kalman filtering [29] and sensor fusion [18, 52] remains to be explored. Moreover, system designers face complex tradeoff choices for deciding upon the usage of fault and attack mitigation techniques and scheduling them on available system resources as they incur extra computation load. In the present work, our contributions are threefold. We formally analyze the actual performance guarantee of control software implementations enabled with additional fault mitigation techniques. We consider task-level models of such implementations enabled with security and fault tolerance primitives and construct a timed automata-based model which checks for schedulability on heterogeneous multi-core platforms. We leverage these methodologies in the context of a novel Design-Space-Exploration (DSE) framework that considers target reliability and security guarantees for a control system and computes schedulable design options while considering well-known platform-level security improvement and fault mitigation techniques. We validate our contributions over several case studies from the automotive domain.

The South Asia region of the International Society of Nephrology comprises 8 countries (Table 1) with a combined population of 1.77 billion, about 29% of world population in 2016. The World Bank classifies Afghanistan and Nepal as low-income countries; Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka as low-middle-income countries, and the Maldives as an upper middle-income country. Over 65% of the population in the region lives in rural areas.

Objective Previous findings suggest a context-dependent bihemispheric allocation of numerical magnitude. Accordingly, we predicted that lateralized motor symptoms in Parkinson's disease (PD), which reflect hemispheric asymmetries, would induce systematic lateralized biases in numerical cognition and have a subsequent influence on decision-making. Methods In 20 PD patients and matched healthy controls we assessed numerical cognition using a number-pair bisection and random number generation task. Decision-making was assessed using both the dictator game and a validated questionnaire. Results PD patients with predominant right-sided motor symptoms exhibited pathological biases toward smaller numerical magnitudes and formulated less favorable prosocial choices during a neuroeconomics task (i.e., dictator game). Conversely, patients with left-sided motor symptoms exhibited pathological biases toward larger numerical magnitudes and formulated more generous prosocial choices. Our account of context-dependent hemispheric allocation of numerical magnitude in PD was corroborated by applying our data to a pre-existing computational model and observing significant concordance. Notably, both numerical biasing and impaired decision-making were correlated with motor asymmetry. Interpretation Accordingly, motor asymmetry and functional impairment of cognitive processes in PD can be functionally intertwined. To conclude, our findings demonstrate context-dependent hemispheric allocation and encoding of numerical magnitude in PD and how biases in numerical magnitude allocation in Parkinsonian patients can correspondingly impair economic decision-making.

This retrospective analytical study aimed at making a database of patients who underwent renal transplant from 31 December 2004 to 31 December 2006 under the Faculty of Medicine renal transplant program. The objective was to build a profile of renal transplant patients with focus on post KT infections and complications of renal transplants. An interviewer administered questionnaire was used. A total of 72 patients were studied; 18 (25%) had died by February 2007. Forty-three patients (58.3%) were interviewed in person, 17 were interviewed over the phone and 12 patients could not be contacted. Of those who were interviewed, 28 (38.9%) were on azathioprine, prednisolone and cyclosporine, while 15 (20.8%) were on predni-solone, cyclosporin and mycophenolate mofetil. Four patients had symptomatic cytomegalovirus infection and five had tuberculosis post transplant. Of all infections, the most commonly reported was urinary tract infection (11 cases). Thirty-three (45.8 %) had received induction therapy with either basiliximab (n = 8) or daclizumab (n = 25). Acute rejection was the most commonly en-countered complication, with nine cases (12.5%) being reported over the study period. Of late complications, most were due to immunosuppression. Overall, the 2-year survival was 75%. There was no significant difference between the centers of transplant.
