The article focuses on the issues of teaching turn-taking for ESP students in blended distance learning courses at B2 level. It lays the rationale for the use of film episodes of business interaction in distance learning highlighting turn-taking as an operational meta-discursive category. In multimodal cinematic discourse, turn-taking is performed by heterogeneous semiotic resources: linguistic, non-linguistic, cinematic codes and underpinned by intersubjectivity. Turn-taking strategies of initiating and responding types are viewed as a system of interactional dialogic communication management which includes discursive means of turn-claiming, attempt-suppressing and turn-yielding where each type is actualised by its own set of tactics and techniques. We claim that ESP learners need to know the main parameters for turn-taking in oral professional communication; such as the participants' stance, speaker -- hearer relations and their intersubjectivity, the transition point in a conversation, discourse situations, and specific semiotic resources. In cooperative discourse situations, turn-claiming and turn-yielding strategies are determined by initiating tactics of statement or interrogation. Unlike this, in conflict situations, turn-taking strategies depend upon initiating tactics of statement, interrogation, order, inducement and predetermine responding tactics. In asynchronous and blended formats of distance learning, the preferable delivery methods for this material include video recordings and digital games which facilitate receiving new information and motivate students to practice new communicative skills.

This study represents the first scholarly endeavour to investigate the existentialist motif of death within the works of renowned authors from the United States and Europe: Cormac McCarthy's The Road (2006), Herta Müller's Atemschaukel (2009), and Serhii Zhadan's Internat (2017). Employing a multifaceted methodological approach, this research utilises close reading to identify representations of the death experience, an interpretative lens to uncover and categorise imagery, allusions, and symbols related to death, and a comparative analysis based on the point-by-point method to juxtapose the literary representations of death across the selected novels. Through this study, three distinct forms of death emerge: the cessation of life, the moral decay of humanity, and the demise of nature. This study delves into these forms, which are most prominently depicted in each novel, to provide a comprehensive understanding of the nature of death at the dawn of the 21st century. The selection of these novels is predicated on their shared thematic concerns, including survival in hostile environments and extreme experiences such as isolation, alienation, and ultimately, death. The object of this study is the process of grinding and crumbling the surface layer of the soil with turf of winter crops by X-shaped working bodies. It has been established that the use of a grinding group based on X-shaped rotary working bodies as part of combined tillage tools makes it possible to preliminary loosen the surface layer of heavy soils (over-dried or overmoistened). It was estab)lished that the optimal values of the parameters of the section of the X-shaped rotary working bodies for the quality of loosening the soil in a layer of 0–10 cm at a depth of cultivation of 14 ± 2 cm depend on the speed of the unit. Thus, at a speed of movement of the unit of 2 m/s, the optimal value of the diameter of the rotor blade is 335.9 mm, the distance between the axes of the rotor batteries is 316.4 mm, and the distance between the rotor blades in the battery is 195.6 mm. At a unit movement speed of 2.5 m/s, the optimal values of these parameters are 331.2, 325.7, and 211.3 mm, respectively, and at a unit movement speed of 3 m/s – 330.1, 346.8, and 106.1 mm. It was also established that the stability of the movement of the X-shaped working bodies according to the root mean square deviation of the working depth increases with the increase in the speed of the unit. Thus, at a unit movement speed of 2.5 m/s, the root mean square deviation of the soil tillage depth is 1.21 cm, at a unit movement speed of 3 m/s – 1.07 cm, and at a unit movement speed of 3.5 m/s – 0.63 cm. It was also established that the stability of the movement of the working bodies according to the depth of cultivation decreases with an increase in the speed of movement of the unit. Thus, at a movement speed of the unit of 2.5 m/s, the average soil tillage depth is set at the level of 13.1 cm, at a movement speed of the unit of 3 m/s – 12.6 cm, and at a movement speed of the unit of 3.5 m/s – at the level of 11.9 cm. The article analyses the issue of techniques of bilingual education by introducing CLIL comparing to ESP, EAP, EMI approaches at different levels of education – secondary and tertiary. In the article the authors studied the challenges, resilience and sustainability during the process of introduces above mentioned approaches. The CLIL approach facilitates foreign language learning by integrating language and content instruction. The authors’ investigation has a theoretical bias and different scientists’ point of view. By analyzing the implementation of CLIL approach and authors’ experience in practical application of other approaches the comparative analysis is done that proves the priorities of using CLIL at schools and higher educational establishments. The authors justified that CLIL is more than just language switching; it means that teaching subjects in a second language, like English, is the best way to make learning more meaningful and engaging. The benefits of CLIL in Ukrainian education system emphasize learners’ fluency in both languages - Ukrainian and English, high academic achievements, achievements in communication and development of sociocultural competencies that as a result boost learners’ motivation and bridge the language gap. Knowledge of a foreign language takes priority in modern conditions of globalization. Possession of integrated communication skills that ensure professional and business relationships between people of different countries becomes an obvious necessity for future foreign language specialists. Accordingly, the CLIL technique, known in the world and actively used for effective foreign language learning, is receiving special attention at the current stage. The article examines the main advantages and challenges of using the method of content and language integrated learning in the Ukrainian educational system, and draws attention to the main factors on which the successful implementation of the CLIL method in Ukraine depends. The study of the reader VNLU has a glorious tradition. Long-term scientific intelligence on user registration was conducted in different directions and was based on analytical processing of statistical arrays, conclusions of questionnaires and results of visual observations. The current state of this problem is the development of precisely the previous ideas and techniques. Since the 1990s, the VNLU has been involved in a comprehensive study of the reader contingent on the basis of the introduction of information technology readers. With the provision of the status National Library (1995), it launched an automated reader system and commissioned an automated workplace reader (ARM PZCH). Within the framework of these innovations, during 1996-1997 a new technology for the registration of readers was developed; The ARM PZCH readers was modified with a complex of package of applications; a new structure of the reader’s ticket has been created; the system of distributing readers according to the categories with the assignment of ciphers of specialties to them in accordance with the standards of bibliographic and bibliographic classification of sciences has been updated. Thanks to the creation of the DB «Readers of the VNLU», the possibility of a more detailed, in-depth study of the readership of the VNLU as the main object of library activity with differentiated account of its composition appeared. In 1997, the YNLU signed an agreement with LLC TOP-Service to complete a set of works on installing and debugging hardware and software for the production of plastic reader tickets and introduced a software and hardware complex for the manufacture of machine readable plastic reader tickets. It enabled to count readers in an automated mode, operate statistics, differentiate readers by professional categories, ciphers of a specialty, education, age, gender, etc., which positively affected the formation of a modern method of studying the reader contingent. The next integrated solution in the field of automation of library technologies was the introduction in 2012 automated library information system «IRBIS», intended for use in libraries of any type and profile. Designed to fulfill library and information processes of any complexity, it fully complies with the international standards recommended for modern library systems. Compatible with international communicative formats UNIMARK and USMARK, ABIS «IRBIS» provided the organization and support of a wide range of databases of the scientific library, including the DB Readers of the VNLU. Several workshops were included in it, including the «Cataloguer» AWP, which represents the software and hardware complex of a specialist associated with the formation of an electronic catalog, the input of data in accordance with international standards for the presentation of information, adjustment and replenishment of the database. Serving the NB Readers database, the Cataloguer’s CMS provided a new level of statistical analysis of information about readers of the scientific library and the preparation of statistical reports on its results. Creation of a complex automated process of recording users in the VNLU and functioning of a single database of readers’ information led to the operative observation of the evolution of the reader’s contingent, the operation of a wide range of statistical data, the formation of a conceptual framework for the effective development of other library strategic areas, such as the formation of a fund, the adjustment of the nomenclature of library and information services, optimization of the system of service as a whole, as well as the development of uniform normative and methodological documents for the purpose of interlibrary studies according to international standards on the urgent problems.

Methodology of content and language integrated learning (CLIL) is a gradual replacement of cramming and sometimes unconscious repetition. The principle of integration and functional contextual mastering of a foreign language have become extremely popular in the world, and have also made it possible to determine the advantages and problems of implementing the content and language integrated learning method into the educational process in many countries of the world. The given article is devoted to the issue of using the methodology of content and language integrated learning (CLIL) at each educational level of the Ukrainian education system, its methodological tasks are considered at each structural stage. Attention is paid to the main conditions for the successful implementation of the method of content and language integrated learning (CLIL) in Ukrainian secondary education institutions. One of the main aspects of the Vernadsky National Library’ statistical observations are registration of the library visitors. As defined by international standard ISO 11620: 2008 «Information and documentation - Performance library activities», the registration is a paradigm of modern library statistics. Another international standard, ISO 2789: 2013 «Information and documentation. International library statistics» defines the basic concepts involved in the statistical study, counting and measuring. Based on international experience, in 2012 Vernadsky National Library began its technological modernization of registration the readers using the automated library-information system «IRBIS», which provided particularly automate operations for registration and readers statistical records based on the existing since 1998 DB «Vernadsky National Library Readers». DB «Vernadsky National Library Readers» is the object of the intellectual property of the library. It is licensed, certified and incorporated in accordance with ISO international standards of library statistics and according to the national applicable law. DB was officially registered in the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine with a certificate of registration of copyright «Database Vernadsky National Library Readers». DB operates Vernadsky National Library readers’ personal data. Taking into account that the confidential information relates to restricted information, it is protected from unauthorized access. For authorized users of the database specific access rights to certain elements of the database are developed in accordance with the international standard ISO / IEC 27001: 2013 «Information technology. Methods of protection. Management systems information security».Processing of personal data of users Vernadsky National Library is necessary for market research of socio-demographic characteristics of readership structure of Vernadsky National Library and statistical reports in accordance with certain international standards and current legislation. Introduction of electronic registration form remote users; solving scientific and methodological, technological, logistical, personnel and organizational problems that arise in the application of international standards in library practice could be tasks for the future.

To solve the research goal, the authors proposed to consider the thesaurus of the concept of "antifragile in the global economy" by revealing the categorical-conceptual apparatus, namely the concepts of "economy", "globalization", "antifragile" and "global economy". To delimit the defined definitions and further level the existing contradictions in the categorical-conceptual apparatus, the authors propose to visually demonstrate the relationship between the above-defined terms and the concept of " antifragile in the global economy " using graph-theoretic structures. In the work, with the help of analysis of modern sources, the authors attempted to provide their definition, considering all the pros and cons of the existing interpretations. The given definition differs from the existing ones by considering the critical features of antifragile, expanding the concept of the global economy, considering its purpose, and revealing the meaning of the economy. The study's authors revealed the economic content of global problems as a component of economic development to reveal which problems contribute to the development of the world economic system. The work analyzed the dynamics of the GDP volumes of three developed countries, namely France, Japan, and the USA, by constructing a diagram based on GDP indicators from 2014-2022. The impact of global financial crises on the world economic system is considered, namely the impact on super-large investment companies, whose financial crisis is the detonator of the global crisis. The article issues the questions of effective teaching both content and second language by integrating CLIL and ESP within the process of professional competence formation at Ukrainian universities - the challenges, prerequisites and perspectives of teaching content and professionally oriented skills through the English language. The authors provide a comparative analysis of the definitions and characteristics of content and language integrated learning (CLIL) and English for specific purposes (ESP) at the present stage of linguodidactics. The investigation is theoretically granted and issues the question of CLIL and ESP integrated principles application, and reflects the main scientific ideas and stages of implementation, the application of which makes it possible to modernize the system of professional training according to European standards. Regarding the integration of the CLIL and ESP approaches in the process of professional training at nonlanguage specialties, the authors state that process of immersion into professional oriented environment facilitates the increase of learning outcome standards. Theoretical and methodological review of contemporary teaching approaches, its principles, advantages, challenges and effective ways of CLIL and ESP in Europe and Ukraine are analyzed.
