Abstract

It is highly desired that performance of Pd catalysts is improved by the design and preparation of homogeneously dispersed and stablized in many industrial catalytic processes and still a big challenge. Herein, small-sized Pd over Al2O3-flower (f-Al2O3) via compartmentalization strategy is successfully prepared. Ultrafine Pd phases are highly dispersed and thermally stabilized by flower-liked architectures, which not only efficiently suppress Pd aggregation at reaction conditions, but also promote mass transport and reactants access to active sites easily. The catalysts exhibit a stable acetylene conversion of 93% with ethylene selectivity of 94% within a single running of 60 days (60 ℃, GHSV 4500 h−1) without introducing any promoter, and high TOF value (0.4 S−1) are achieved as well. Abstract

Controlling the morphology of α-Al 2 O 3 plate-like powders is essential, asmulti-morphological α-Al 2 O 3 platelets are needed in various applications. The α-Al 2 O 3 platelets investigated in this work, were prepared via conventional solid-state reaction using gibbsite and pseudo-boehmite as the starting materials; nano-TiO 2 , nano-SiO 2 , silica gel, and the mixtures of nano-SiO 2 and nano-TiO 2 were used as morphology modifiers during the synthesis. The effect of the type and amount of modifiers used, on the morphology of the platelets was determined via scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and measurements of the specific surface area. The results indicated that nano-TiO 2 resulted in small and thick platelets. In fact, nano-TiO 2 led to increased crystallinity and accelerated phase transformation to α-Al 2 O 3 , and additions of ≥2.00 wt% resulted in severe aggregation of the α-Al 2 O 3 particles. Conversely, addition of nano-SiO 2 led to significant increases in the diameter and reductions in the thickness of the α-Al 2 O 3 platelets; for equal additions, liquid silica gel, which has excellent mobility, was more effective in controlling the morphology than solid SiO 2 . Additions of up to 1.00 wt% of the nano-SiO 2 resulted in an incomplete α phase transformation, owing to SiO 2 inhibition of the transformation to α-Al 2 O 3 . Moreover, simultaneous additions of nano-TiO 2 and nano-SiO 2 led to competing effects on the morphology of the α-Al 2 O 3 particles, as evidenced by changes in the specific surface area.

Abstract

Three phthalide-derived analogues with an undescribed carbon skeleton were isolated and structurally characterized from an aqueous extract of the Angelica sinensisroot heads (guitou). Biogenetically the carbon skeleton is proposed from coupling between phthalide derivatives and butanal. Racemate 1and its enantiomers showed activity inhibiting the K+channel TREK-1.

Abstract

Background: Isotalatizidine is a representative C19-diterpenoid alkaloid extracted from the lateral roots of Aconitum carmichaelii, which has been widely used to treat various diseases on account of its analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, and immunosuppressive properties. The aim of this study was to evaluate the analgesic effect of isotalatizidine and its underlying mechanisms against neuropathic pain.Methods: A chronic constrictive injury (CCI)-induced model of neuropathic pain was established in mice, and the limb withdrawal was evaluated by the Von Frey filament test following isotalatizidine or placebo administration. The signaling pathways in primary or immortalized microglia cells treated with isotalatizidine were analyzed by Western blotting and immunofluorescence.Results: Intrathecal injection of isotalatizidine attenuated the CCI-induced mechanical allodynia in a dose-dependent manner. At the molecular level, isotalatizidine selectively increased the phosphorylation of p38 and ERK1/2, in addition to activating the transcription factor CREB and increasing dynorphin A production in cultured primary microglia. However, the downstream effects of isotalatizidine were abrogated by the selective ERK1/2 inhibitor U0126-EtOH or CREB inhibitor of KG-501, but not by the p38 inhibitor SB203580. The results also were confirmed in in vivo experiments.Conclusion: Taken together, isotalatizidine specifically activates the ERK1/2 pathway and subsequently CREB, which triggers dynorphin A release in the microglia, eventually leading to its anti-nociceptive action.
