Objective: To investigate the mediating effect of decreased Intrinsic capacity(IC) between symptoms and ability to perform activities of daily living(ADL) in elderly patients with Heart failure(HF). [Objective] Photovoltaic (PV) power generation is an important starting point for China to implement the clean energy transition towards achieving the dual carbon goals, but its large installed capacity has brought new e-waste management challenges, and research on future e-waste generation and resource recovery potential is of great importance for the scientific and effective management of scraps. [Methods] Based on the distributed PV data of the National Energy Administration from 2013 to 2021, this study used the market supply A model, logistic model, and resource estimation model to predict the scrap volume and recoverable resource volume of distributed PV power generation equipment in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region from 2022 to 2060. [Results] The results show that the cumulative scrap volume of distributed PV modules in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei could reach 4.8984 million kW, 3.930 million kW, and 83.3778 million kW respectively from 2022 to 2060. From 2022 to 2060, the cumulative total amount of recyclable materials in scrap photovoltaic modules in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region will be 2.9737 million tons, and the cumulative total amount of recyclable materials in scrap photovoltaic installation systems will be 76500 to 100100 tons. Among them, other materials in the photovoltaic modules amount to 2.7926 million tons, basic metal 0.1395 million tons, key metal 37500 tons, precious metal silver 3900 tons, special metal 200 tons, and toxic metal 1100 tons; The weight of aluminum, copper, steel, and zinc of the photovoltaic installation systems is 6700-8800 tons, 12800-16800 tons, 56800-74400 tons, and 130-170 tons, respectively. [Conclusion] In the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, there is a significant presence of distributed photovoltaic waste, requiring prompt and efficient management strategies. Additionally, the wide variety of materials found in photovoltaic waste presents substantial opportunities for resource recycling. A well-designed recycling system is indispensable.

Alkaloid enantiomers have different physiological and pharmacological effects, and different chiral compositions have a large impact on cigarette sensory and use safety. Studying the effects of different configurations of alkaloid enantiomers on cigarette sensory is important for the development of tobacco products, but the chiral separation of alkaloid enantiomers has become the core problem. Here, the application of a C18 column coupled with a polysaccharide-based chiral column to separate and detect four pairs of alkaloid enantiomers in tobacco and cigarette smoke of different brands was investigated. Results showed that the tandem technology of the two columns enabled the baseline separation of four pairs of alkaloid enantiomers. The resolution of enantiomers of alkaloids in different tobacco samples differed in content and ratio, showing different chiral distribution characteristics. According to the different distribution characteristics of alkaloid enantiomers, tobacco samples of different brands can be distinguished and real cigarettes can be identified.

Aim: This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the experience and requirements of newly employed nurses during their transition into professional roles. Furthermore, it aims to analyze the effects of transition shock on these nurses, identify the typical coping mechanisms they employ, and provide a reference for nursing administrators to explore and improve relevant interventions. Background: In the early stages of their careers, newly graduated nurses frequently encounter various challenging situations that might impact their job performance and professional growth. Over the past few years, experts have increasingly focused on transition shock. However, limited studies have been undertaken on the role adaptation factors related to freshly graduating nurses during their transition. Methods: The study's design and implementation were guided by the phenomenological method. Purposive sampling and semi-structured in-depth interviews were used to recruit 16 participants. Interviews were transcribed verbatim, and the data were analyzed using thematic techniques assisted by Nvivo coding software. Results: We analyzed interview data based on Duchscher's transition shock theoretical framework. A total of 3 themes and 12 sub-themes were distilled, which include perceptions and feelings when facing transition shocks (4 sub-themes), impacts of transition shocks (4 sub-themes), and strategies for coping with transition shocks (3 sub-themes). Discussion and Conclusion: Newly recruited nurses are prone to suffer multidimensional problems and impacts during the transition process, mostly characterized by physical discomfort, psychological anxiety, and the need for social support and career development. Nursing managers should pay attention to the mental health status and changes of new nurses at different stages and proactively investigate and implement personalized interventions. Simple Summary: Pollinators play a crucial role in the survival and reproduction of flowering plants, and different flowering plants rely on specific types of pollinators. This study focuses on Hibiscus syringae and explores the effect of pollinator size on pollination efficiency. The research results indicate that although the size of pollinators is an important factor, it is not the only variable that determines pollination efficiency. In fact, the behavior patterns of pollinators and the characteristics of plant flowers themselves also have a significant impact on the reproductive process of plants. These findings provide valuable scientific reference for understanding the reproductive mechanism of hibiscus. To understand the reproductive strategies of the typically introduced plant Hibiscus mutabilis and to compare the pollination efficiency of its different pollinators, we observed, measured, and recorded the flowering dynamics, floral traits, and visiting insects of H. mutabilis. Furthermore, we compared the body size, visitation rate, and pollination efficiency of the pollination insects of H. mutabilis. The results indicated that, despite exhibiting specialized moth pollination characteristics based on similarities in flower features to other moth-pollinated species, H. mutabilis actually presented a generalized pollination system. The nectar of H. mutabilis attracted a variety of insects to provide pollination services, a total of five flower visitors, one moth species (Macroglossum pyrrhosticta), and four bee species (Xylocopa appendiculata, Xylocopa dissimilis, Bombus breviceps, and Apis mellifera), were found to provide pollination services for H. mutabilis. The pollination efficiency of these pollinators was related to the parts of their body in contact with the stamens and stigmas of flowers. Although M. pyrrhosticta was larger in size and its visitation frequency in our field observations was higher, its pollination efficiency was lower. This was due to the small part of its body (proboscis) contacting the two sexual organs of H. mutabilis while visiting flowers, resulting in a low amount of pollen being transferred and deposited. In contrast, the bee pollinators' proboscis was significantly shorter than that of M. pyrrhosticta, and it must enter the flower to suck the nectar that is hidden deeply inside the base of the flower. Therefore, the body parts of bee pollinators in contact with the two sexual organs of H. mutabilis were larger than M. pyrrhosticta in the process of visiting flowers, and the pollination efficiencies were significantly higher than those of M. pyrrhosticta. In addition, larger bee pollinators have higher pollination efficiency. As a result, H. mutabilis suffered from pollen limitation due to the pollination efficiencies of the moth pollinators in the introduced habitats, but it compensated by attracting more species of bee pollinators. Spectral induced polarization (SIP) exhibits potential to be a nonintrusive approach to monitor bacterial activity in biological hotspots associated with the critical zone of the earth. The polarization of bacteria in a low‐frequency electrical field is related to the polarization of their electrical double layer coating their surface. However, few studies have quantified the induced polarization responses on both gram‐negative (GN) and gram‐positive (GP) bacteria in soil column experiments. To address this gap, 17 experiments using two strains, Pseudomonas aeruginosa O1 (PAO1, GN) and Brevibacillus centrosporus (L3, GP) are conducted. Complex conductivity spectra are collected in the frequency range 10 mHz–10 kHz during bacterial growth and decay phases in soils. The complex conductivity spectra are fitted using a double Cole‐Cole model to remove the effect of Maxwell‐Wagner polarization. The change in the magnitude of the polarization (quadrature conductivity or normalized chargeability of the low‐frequency contribution) is linearly related to the bacterial density, regardless of the type of bacteria. The changes in the normalized chargeability and Cole‐Cole relaxation time are directly proportional to the density of bacteria. Furthermore, it is inferred that the thickness of microcolonies plays a critical role in the relaxation time rather than the diameter of individual bacteria. This study expands the potential of SIP for in situ monitoring of microbial activity in soils. Plain Language Summary: Microorganisms are ubiquitous in the environment. Understanding their impact on the critical zone is crucial in the context of climate change. Spectral induced polarization is a geophysical method that has been proven to be sensitive to the presence of bacteria in porous media, but no specific works have been done for both gram‐negative and gram‐positive bacteria in soils. Column reactor experiments are conducted using the same soil, inoculated with either gram‐negative or gram‐positive strains. Experimental results indicate a direct proportionality between the magnitude of the low‐frequency electrical polarization of the soil and the density of bacteria. It is inferred that the size of microcolonies plays a critical role in the value of the relaxation time. This study provides new quantitative insights into the relationship between the electrical properties and bacterial activity in soils with applications to the nonintrusive monitoring of biological hotspots in the critical zone of the earth.
