Digital filtering through a certain calculation orprogram determination to reducing the proportion of noise interference superimposingon the useful signal, so as to improve the quality of signal acquisition. Thedigital filtering is realized by program and does not need additional hardware，anddifferent filtering methods or filtering parameters can be used according todifferent signal, so it has good stability, strong function. Digital filteringhas stronger capacity in inhibiting the interference from low frequency signal.

Scutellarein, the main metabolite of scutellarin in vivo, has relatively better solubility, bioavailability and bio-activity than scutellarin. However, it is very difficult to obtain scutellarein in nature compared with scutellarin. Therefore, the present study focused on establishing an efficient route for the synthesis of scutellarein by hydrolyzing scutellarin. The in vitro antioxidant activities of scutellarein were evaluated by measuring its scavenging capacities toward DPPH, ABTS(+•), (•)OH free radicals and its protective effect on H(2)O(2)-induced cytotoxicity in PC12 cells using MTT assay method. The results showed that essential point to the synthesis was the implementation of H(2)SO(4) in 90% ethanol in N(2) atmosphere; scutellarein had stronger antioxidant activity than scutellarin. The results have laid the foundation for further research and the development of scutellarein as a promising candidate for ischemic cerebrovascular disease.

Novel NO-donor-caffeic acid hybrids with antioxidant, nitric oxide release and vasodilator properties were de- signed and synthesized through a symbiotic approach using caffeic acid and three different NO-donating groups such as nitric ester, 4-hydroxyl-3-phenylfuroxan and 4-hydroxymethyl-3-phenylsulfonylfuroxan. The antioxidant activities of these hybrid products were assessed by DPPH assay and by detecting the TBARS produced in the ferrous salt/ascorbate induced autoxidation of lipids which were present in microsomial membranes of rat hepatocytes. The nitric oxide release activities were assessed by indirect evaluation of the produced nitrite. The vasodilator activities were determined through an in vitro vascular relaxation assay (organ bath) using PGF2� -precontracted porcine pulmonary arteries. The results showed that the target phenylsulfonylfuroxan 12, especially 12a while keeping the antioxidant activity, showed more NO release activity and vasodilating activity than isosorbide dinitrate (ISDN). Thus 12a may be considered as a novel potent anti-atherosclerosis's drug candidate.

Tumor development consists of several separate, but closely linked, stages: tumor initiation, promotion, and progression. This long and complex process provides opportunities for intervention both in preventing cancer initiation and in treating the neoplasm during its premalignant stages. Resveratrol, a polyphenolic compound found in many plant species, including grapes, peanuts, and various herbs, has recently been investigated intensely for its cancer chemopreventive property. The present work is an overview of the chemopreventive mechanisms of resveratrol in anti-initiation, anti-promotion, and anti-progression. These, together with the low toxicity of resveratrol, suggest promise for novel chemopreventive agents. However, the low bioavailability and rapid clearance of resveratrol from the circulation require the design of new resveratrol-like chemopreventive agents, the structural modifications and the structure–activity relationship of which are also discussed in this review. Nickel-doped ZnO (Zn1-xNixO) have been produced using rf magnetron sputtering. X-ray diffraction measurements revealed that nickel atoms were successfully incorporated into ZnO host matrix without forming any detectable secondary phase. Ni 2p core-level photoemission spectroscopy confirmed this result and suggested Ni hits it chemical valence of 2 +. According to the . We studied the electronic magnetization measurements, no ferromagnetic but paramagnetic behavior was found for Zn0.86Ni0.14O. We studied the electronic structure of Zn0.86Ni0.14O by valence-band photoemission spectroscopy. The spectra demonstrate a structure at similar to 2 eV below the Fermi energy E-F, which is of Ni 3d origin. No emission was found at E-A, suggesting the insulating nature of the film. Mn ions were implanted to n-type Si(0 0 1) single crystal by low-energy ion beam deposition technique with an energy of 1000 eV and a dose of 7.5 x 10^{17} cm^{-2}. The samples were held at room temperature and at 300degreesC during implantation. Auger electron spectroscopy depth profiles of samples indicate that the Mn ions reach deeper in the sample implanted at 300degreesC than in the sample implanted at room temperature. X-ray diffraction measurements show that the structure of the sample implanted at room temperature is amorphous while that of the sample implanted at 300degreesC is crystallized. There are no new phases found except silicon both in the two samples. Atomic force microscopy images of samples indicate that the sample implanted at 300degreesC has island-like humps that cover the sample surface while there is no such kind of characteristic in the sample implanted at room temperature. The magnetic properties of samples were investigated by alternating gradient magnetometer (AGM). The sample implanted at 300degreesC shows ferromagnetic behavior at room temperature.

Gadolinium oxide thin films have been prepared on silicon (100) substrates with a low-energy dual ion-beam epitaxial technique. Substrate temperature was an important factor to affect the crystal structures and textures in an ion energy range of 100-500 eV. The films had a monoclinic Gd2O3 structure with preferred orientation ((4) over bar 02) at low substrate temperatures. When the substrate temperature was increased, the orientation turned to (202), and finally, the cubic structure appeared at the substrate temperature of 700 degreesC, which disagreed with the previous report because of the ion energy. The AES studies found that Gadolinium oxide shared Gd2O3 structures, although there were a lot of oxygen deficiencies in the films, and the XPS results confirmed this. High dose Mn was implanted into semi-insulating GaAs substrate to fabricate embedded ferromagnetic Mn-Ga binary particles by mass-analyzed dual ion beam deposit system at room temperature. The properties of as-implanted and annealed samples were measured with X-ray diffraction, high-resolution X-ray diffraction to characterize the structural changes. New phase formed after high temperature annealing. Sample surface image was observed with atomic force microscopy. All the samples showed ferromagnetic behaviour at room temperature. There were some differences between the hysteresis loops of as-implanted and annealed samples as well as the cluster size of the latter was much larger than that of the former through the surface morphology. Single-phase gadolinium disilicide was fabricated by a low-energy ion-beam implantation technique. Auger electron spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were used to determine the composition and chemical states of the film. The structure of the sample was analyzed by X-ray diffraction and the surface morphology was investigated by scan electron microscopy. Based on the measurements, only orthorhombic GdSi2 phase was found in the sample and the surface morphology was pitting. After annealing at 350degreesC for 30 min at Ar atmosphere, the full-width at half-maximum of GdSi2 became narrower. It indicates that the GdSi2 is crystallized better after annealing. A stoichiometric Gd2O3-x thin film has been grown on a silicon (10 0) substrate with a low-energy dual ion-beam epitaxial technique. Gd2O3-x shares Gd2O3 structures although there are many oxygen deficiencies in the film. The photoluminescence (PL) measurements have been performed in a temperature range 5-300 K. The detailed characters of the peak position, the full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) and the peak intensity at different temperature were reported. An anomalous intensity behavior of the PL spectra has been observed, which is similar to that of some other materials such as porous silicon and silicon nanocrystals in silicon dioxide. Therefore, we suggest that the nanoclusters with the oxygen deficiencies contribute to the PL emission and employ the model of singlet-triplet exchange splitting of exciton to discuss the four peaks observed in the experiment. (Ga, Gd, As) film was fabricated by the mass-analyzed dual ion-beam epitaxy system with the energy of 1000 eV at room temperature. There was no new peak found except GaAs substrate peaks (0 0 2) and (0 0 4) by X-ray diffraction. Rocking curves were measured for symmetric (0 0 4) reflections to further yield the lattice mismatch information by employing double-crystal X-ray diffraction. The element distributions vary so much due to the ion dose difference from AES depth profiles. The sample surface morphology indicates oxidizing layer roughness is also relative to the Gd ion dose, which leads to islandlike feature appearing on the high-dose sample. Gadolinium oxide shares Gd2O3 structures although the ratio of gadolinium and oxygen in the film is about 2:1 and a lot of oxygen deficiencies exist. Photoluminescence (PL) measurements have been carried out within a temperature range of 5–300 K. The detailed characters of the PL emission integrated intensity, peak position, and peak width at different temperature were reported and an anomalous photoluminescence behavior was observed. The character of PL emission integrated intensity is similar to that of some other materials such as porous silicon and silicon nanocrystals in silicon dioxide. Four peaks relative to α band and β band were observed also. Therefore we suggest that the nanoclusters with the oxygen deficiencies contribute to the PL emission and the model of singlet-triplet exchange splitting of exciton was employed for discussion.

The magnetic semiconductor GdxSi1-x was prepared by low-energy dual ion-beam epitaxy. GdxSi1-x shows excellent magnetic properties at room temperature. A high magnetic moment of 10 mu(B) per Gd atom is observed. The high atomic magnetic moment is interpreted as being a result of the RKKY mechanism. The indirect exchange interaction between ions is strong at large distances due to the low state density of the carriers in the magnetic semiconductor.

Semiconducting gadolinium silicide GdxSi samples were prepared by mass-analyzed low-energy dual ion beam epitaxy technique. Auger electron spectroscopy depth profiles indicate that the gadolinium ions are implanted into the single-crystal silicon substrate and formed 20 nm thick GdxSi film. X-ray double-crystal diffraction measurement shows that there is no new phase formed. The XPS spectra show that one type of silicon peaks whose binding energy is between that of silicide and silicon dioxide, and the gadolinium peak of binding energy is between that of metal Gd and Gd2O3. Depth profiles of carrier concentrations in GaMnSb/GaSb are investigated by electrochemistry capacitance-voltage profiler and electrolyte of Tiron. The carrier concentration in GaMnSb/GaSb measured by this method is coincident with the results of Hall and X-ray diffraction measurements. It is indicated that most of the Mn atoms in GaMnSb take the site of Ga, play a role of acceptors, and provide shallow acceptor level(s).

Because of important biological applications of chromones, some synthetic strategies leading to more complex derivatives have been widely explored in the past years. Thus, the purpose of this review is to report some recent improvements of the classical synthetic methods and of some nonclassical methods to obtain simple oxygenated chromones. The strategies for synthesis of heterocycle analogs containing phosphorus, nitrogen, and sulfur are also summarized. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2010).

The title compound, C17H16O5, was prepared through a cyclization reaction of 2-(3′,4′,5-trimethoxybiphenyl-2-yloxy)acetyl chloride. The two benzene rings form a dihedral angle of 34.55 (5)°. The crystal structure does not feature any hydrogen bonds.
