Changes in gut motility and visceral hypersensitivity are two major features of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Current drug treatments are often poorly efficacious, with many side effects for patients with IBS. Complementary therapies, such as acupuncture or abdominal massage, have received more attention in recent years. In this study, a rat model of IBS with diarrhea (IBS-D) was established by instillation of acetic acid from the colon. The effects of abdominal massage on changes in gut motility, visceral hypersensitivity, and the possible mechanism were investigated. Continuous abdominal massage could decrease the stool consistency score and increase the efflux time of glass beads compared with model groups, while also decreasing mast cell counts in IBS-D rats. The mRNA and protein expressions of neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS), choline acetyl transferase (CHAT), and protein gene product 9.5 (PGP9.5) were significantly upregulated by continuous abdominal massage compared with model groups. Continuous abdominal massage also improved the ultrastructure of enteric glial cells (EGCs) by decreasing the number of mitochondria and increasing the level of the heterochromatin. Meanwhile, continuous abdominal massage could upregulate the expression of glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) and P-Akt/Akt. Furthermore, it could reduce visceral hypersensitivity and improve the IBS-D symptoms by regulating the phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)-Akt pathway, which would provide a novel method for the treatment of IBS-D in the clinical setting.

Cantharidin is the major bioactive compound extracted from the blister beetle, a traditional Chinese medicine, and has been proved to be a natural component with widely antitumor activity. However, clinical application of cantharidin is relatively restricted due to its potential toxic effects, especially hepatotoxicity. Although cantharidin-induced liver injury has been reported, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear. In the present study, an UPLC-Q-TOF/MS based metabolomics approach combined with blood biochemical analysis, histopathological examination, and cell apoptosis assay were used to investigate the mechanisms of cantharidin-induced hepatotoxicity. A total of 54 significantly changed metabolites and 14 disturbed metabolic pathways were identified in the cantharidin exposed groups. Among them, four metabolites (oxidized glutathione, glutathione, 3-sulfinoalanine, and deoxycholic acid 3-glucuronide) were selected based on their high impact value and potential biological function in the process of liver injury post cantharidin treatment. Our study provides a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of cantharidin-induced hepatotoxicity and may contribute to reduce the liver injury and gain more effective and safe clinical use of cantharidin. In addition, our results also demonstrated that cantharidin could impair multiple biological processes in liver, and future studies will be necessary to reveal the detailed molecular mechanisms of cantharidin-induced hepatotoxicity.

Polyurethane (PU) has become one of the most widely used materials in the industrial field due to its excellent performance and wide range of applications. The increasing consumption of polyurethane materials has resulted in significant polyurethane waste. We can recycle waste polyurethane to obtain recycled polyurethane, but to make the recycled polyurethane meet different performance requirements in terms of utility and cost and enable the recycled polyether polyol to be further applied to high-end applications, it is necessary to improve the use value of recycled polyether polyol. In this paper, self-made Fluorodiol was added to the degradation process of waste polyurethane to obtain fluorinated regenerated polyether polyol. Recycled fluorinated polyurethane with excellent performance was prepared using fluorine-containing recycled polyether polyol. The regenerated fluorinated polyether polyols were characterized by infrared spectroscopy, viscosity, hydroxyl value, and GPC molecular weight distribution. The density, apparent morphology, water absorption, mechanical strength, thermal conductivity, and thermal stability of RFPU rigid foams with different fluorine contents were studied by scanning electron microscopy. The results show that when the addition of Fluorodiol was 8% of the mass of waste polyurethane, the density was 41.2 kg/m3, the immersion loss rate was 2.125%, the compressive strength was 0.315 Mpa, and the thermal conductivity was 0.0227 W/m·K. The RFPU prepared by Fluorodiol has low surface energy, good compressive strength, hydrolysis resistance, and is expected to be widely used in special insulation materials. Thus, the sustainable recycling of polyurethane is achieved.

The Badain Jaran Desert in northern China is well known for the highest mega-dunes on Earth and unique alternating megadune–lake landform, and various formation mechanisms have been proposed. Although the relics of interdune lakes are generally considered as good palaeoenvironmental records, their evolutions and relevance to paleoenvironment change are poorly understood due to limited age control. In this study, quartz optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) and K-feldspar post-infrared infrared stimulated luminescence (pIRIR) were used to establish a chronological framework for limnic relics in order to reconstruct the evolution of interdune lakes. Our results indicate that limnic relics were deposited in MIS 5 and MIS 1, due to a lake level transgression and humid environmental condition. During the Holocene, humid conditions occurred at early to middle Holocene, immediately preceded and followed by aridity. The last 600 years have been characterized by high rates of aeolian activity. Based on field observation and luminescence ages, we propose that climate fluctuations since the Late Pleistocene have played a pivotal role in the formation of the unique landform assemblages.

To investigate the effects of Xiaotan Huayu Liqiao formula (the Chinese Medicine) on mesenteric artery function in rats exposed to chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH), and to explore the related mechanism.Forty-eight male SD rats were randomly divided into four groups as Normoxia, CIH, Formula+CIH and formula group. Rats were exposed to normoxia in the Normoxia and Formula group, or intermittent hypoxia in CIH or Formula+CIH group. Xiaotan Huayu Liqiao formula was given at 24g/kg by intragastric administration before intermittent hypoxia exposure. The pathological changes of mesenteric artery were determined by HE staining, and the relaxation of mesenteric artery (induced by acetylcholine(ACh) and L-arginine(L-Arg)) was recorded by microvascular ring technique. Serums of all rats were collected (0 d and 21 d) and the content of NO was detected by ELISA. The levels of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) and p-eNOS were measured by Western blot.Compared with Normoxia group, the mesenteric arterial endothelial injury and media thickening were observed and the relaxation of mesenteric artery was significantly reduced in rats exposed to CIH. The level of NO in serum and the ratio of p-eNOS/eNOS were also decreased in the CIH group. Xiaotan Huayu Liqiao formula administration improved the pathologic changes and dilatation function of mesenteric artery, increased the levels of NO and p-eNOS. Compared with Normoxia group,all the results were not observed significant difference in Formula group.Xiaotan Huayu Liqiao formula increased the bioavailability of NO, and ameliorated the CIH induced mesenteric artery function injury.

An experimentally feasible scheme is proposed for rapidly generating two-atom qutrit entanglement with one step. As one technique of shortcuts to adiabaticity, transitionless quantum driving is applied to speed up the adiabatic generation of two-atom qutrit entanglement. Apart from the rapid rate, the scheme has much higher experimental feasibility than the recent research (Yang et al. in Quantum Inf Process 16:15, 2017). Besides, numerical simulations indicate the scheme has strong robustness against parameter deviations and decoherence.

The ion-absorbed rare earth deposit occurred in the South of China is unique all over the world. Since the 1970s, rare earth in Longnan, South China has begun to be mined with leaching methods using oxalates and ammonium sulfate. Although this kind of methods is simple and economic, its presence in the environmental causes a growing environmental problems, especially changes in regional hydrochemical environment. In this paper typical ion-absorbed rare earth deposit——the Longnan rare earth mine, Jiangxi Provence, South China was selected as the study object, where the surface water and groundwater samples were collected. Analytic results show that the mining activities have affected the regional hydrochemical environment, which are expressed in the decreased pH（pH 3-4）, the enrichment of REE and heavy metal Pb in water with the maximum of 44760.1 μgL-1 and 1550 μgL-1 respectively, and the sulfate（214-1121 mgL-1）, ammonium（33.7-268 mgL-1） and nitrate ions（90-468 mgL-1） far beyond the background value. The impaction of the mining area surface hydrochemical environment is severest, then around the mining area, and the main rivers and groundwater in the study area have not been affected yet.

Environmental problems have been caused by mining of ion-absorbed rare earth in South China, where chemical pollution in soil has been the most serious issues. There are rare earth mines in Longnan, Jiangxi Provence, South China as study object, where the investigation, sampling have been carried out and all samples were tested and analyzed. The results supported that key problems of polluted soil restoration in rare earth mining area are soil bad acidification and serious NH4+-N,NO3--N,NO2--N pollution. Limited factors of polluted soil restoration of rare earth mining area are presented. It is believe that adjusting pH values and denitrifying of the polluted soil in rare earth mining area and revegetation are feasible plan for soil restoration in rare earth mining area.

With the development of the new generation of information technology industry, the cooperation mode of enterprises become more and more complicated. A research on the technological cooperation is of a significance based on a perspective of patent licensing. By analyzing the patent licensing data of Huawei, Lenovo, ZTE and Datang in the new generation information technology industry in China, we can draw the following conclusions: the patent licensing amount of three companies show the wave declining trend yearly; there are an obvious difference in the distributions of the product patent, the process patent, the product and process patent of patent licensing in the different enterprises; there are an obvious difference in the positions of patent licensing in the different enterprises.

By analyzing the patents licensing data of Huawei, Lenovo, ZTE and Datang in the next-generation information technology industry in China, the following conclusions can be drawn: Huawei and Lenovos technical fields of patents licensing respectively concentrate on the field of the manufacture of assemblages of electrical components, the fields of the speech analysis or synthesis, the speech recognition, the speech or voice processing and the speech or audio coding or decoding, ZTE and Datangs technical field of patents licensing both concentrate on field of the selecting.

Objective: Peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) is a type of non-hodgkin lymphoma with high metastasis and poor prognosis. The guidelines (NCCN guidelines, 2017) recommended CHOEP or CHOP chemotherapy regimen for treatment of PTCL. Unfortunately, the 5-year survival rate of PTCL is lower than 30% according to the present clinical data. Establishing new effective treatment methods and strategies for PTCL has been an urgent problem. Car-T cell therapy is a promising therapy for individuals with lymphoma. In USA, CD19 Car-T cell therapy has been proved to be effective for acute and chronic B-cell lymphoma treatment in more than 1000 clinic trials. However, there is currently no known Car-T cell therapy for PTCL, one of the most prevalent malignancies in Asia. In this study, to provide a safe and effective treatment for the recurrence and malignant CD30 positive PTCL, we establish the world-first CD30 Car-T cell therapy strategy and test its effect in PTCL. Method: The extracellular fragment gene sequences of CD30 were obtained from CD30 positive tumor tissues of PTCL patients and cloned into a recombinant plasmid to obtained CD30 protein. Then, the CD30 targeting single-chain antibody fragment (scFv) gene sequences were obtained from CD30 positive monoclonal hybridoma cell. The T cells were stimulated by using OKT3, CD28 and IL-2 from peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC), then transfected with CD30 Lenti-CAR. The numbers of CD30 positive T cells were counted by flow cytometry after 14 days culture. The cytotoxic function of Car-T cells to CD30+ PTCL cells were detected using chromium release assay (CRA) and real-time cell electronic sensing assay (xCelligence station, ACEA biosciences). Results: The SDS-PAGE data shows that the molecular weight of CD30 protein was 45KDa, and the mass spectrometry data indicate that amino acid sequences were consistent with the prediction. The flow cytometry data shows 35% CD30 positive Car-T cells after transfection with CD30 Lenti-Car at day of 14. The Car-T cells can significantly inhibit the 299 cells proliferation at 20:1 effector-to-target ratios after 12 hours. The real-time cell electronic sensing data shows the Car-T cells can significantly inhibit the 299 cells proliferation at effector-to-target ratios of 5:1, 10:1, 20:1 and 40:1 after 6 hours co-culture. Conclusions: In summary, we have shown a strategy for treating CD30 positive PTCL with Car-T cell therapy. We obtained a CD30 antibody with high specificity and affinity though immunized of mouse by CD30 antigen which sequences comes from the CD30 positive PTCL tissue. We also established real-time cell electronic sensing method to assessing cytotoxic function of Car-T cells and Car-T cells show high efficiency to cytotoxic of Karpas 299 cells. Therefore, this new CD30 Car-T cells therapy strategy may provide an effective and safe treatment of PTCL. Note: This abstract was not presented at the meeting. Badain Jaran Desert is the third largest desert of China. The research on aeolian geomorphology resources will be beneficial to the sustainable development of tourist industry and environment in the Badain Jaran Desert. This paper uses these basic geographical data, such as ETM+, 1:50,000 topographic map, GDEM, Google Earth data and so on. Then we integrate geological surveys in the field and summarize the characteristics of aeolian geomorphology resources. By combining with tourism projects of aeolian geomorphology resources set in other scenic area, the tourism development projects of aeolian geomorphology resources and desert environment in the study are put forward with the purpose of offering practical advice for tourism development of aeolian geomorphology resources and the control and utilization of desert environment in the Badain Jaran Desert.

The coexistence of megadunes and interdune lakes is a unique landscape in the Badain Jaran Desert. Its formation mechanism is an open question. Two necessary conditions for a lake are water and basin. Different from various previous works focusing on water source, here, the lake basin origin is investigated. The chronological, geomorphological, and aerodynamic evidences support that the elongated lakes in the southeastern margin of the desert are aeolian lakes.

In this article, a novel internal model control (IMC) approach based on singular value decomposition (SVD) is proposed for the control of multiple-input–multiple-output (MIMO) systems with multiple time delays. This approach achieves decoupling using a compensation term and improves the robustness using SVD in the inverse of the steady-state gain matrix of process. Meanwhile, a novel filter is designed for decoupling and fast response speed of multivariable systems with multiple delays. The design of the controller can be extended to non-square systems where there are more inputs than outputs. Bone defects caused by tumors, diseased infection, trauma or abnormal bone development create a lot of serious health problems. Tissue engineering aims to fabricate tissues or organs using patients' cells for repairing the damaged tissues or organs in clinic. The aim of this study was to design and fabricate polycaprolactone (PCL) scaffolds using the inhouse-built selective laser sintering (SLS) rapid prototyping (RP) machine and combining with polymer hydrogel for in vitro study for bone repair. In this study, three configurations of scaffolds structure (0/45/0/45°, 0/90/0/90°, and 0/45/90/135° patterns) were designed and produced. The compressive modulus, porosity and pore size of porous scaffolds were first determined. In addition, polymer hydrogel was combined with PCL scaffolds with three loading methods (i.e., immersion method, injection method and titration method) to enhance scaffolds surface hydrophilicity for cell proliferation. Mesenchymal stem cells from New Zealand White rabbits were loaded on PCL scaffolds and induced to osteoblasts in vitro. Bone formation was determined by MTS assays, von Kossa stains and ALP activities. The experimental results showed the compressive moduli of scaffolds with 0/45/0/45°, 0/90/0/90°, and 0/45/90/135° patterns was 2 MPa, 3.4 MPa, and 3.75 MPa, respectively. The porosity of scaffolds was 72%, 76%, and 83%, respectively. The ranges of pore size of scaffolds were 350–400 μm, 400–500 μm, and 350–400 μm, respectively. By comparing three kinds of polymer hydrogel loading methods, titration method had the best result. The in vitro experimental results revealed that OD values of MTS tests and ALP activities increased from day 7 to day 21 and von Kossa stain revealed dark brown mineralized tissue, indicating cells could proliferate and differentiate in polymer hydrogel and scaffolds.
